Blank Install alert - install Mac os Production Premium

Hello all,
I have been trying like heckfire to install CS4 Production Premium on my computer. I did a clean install of the entire system (I had it installed previously, but the computer needed to be wiped and re-installed), and everytime I try to install, I can't get past the Setup window. I keep getting an alert window that says on the title bar "Installer Alert" but the window itself is blank. There is nothing to click on and I only get an alert sound when I click anywhere. I have to force quit the installer to get out of it.
Here are my specs.
Power Mac G5 - PowerPC ( I know that most of the programs don't run on this computer, like After Effects etc. But it will install PS, ILL and Flash, I had done it previously)
Dual 1.8 ghz processors
1 GB of ram
900 MHz bus
Mac OS X 10.4.11
After the first few attempts, there were some Adobe files on the computer. Since I was unable to uninstall, I did a rigorous search and eliminated all the CS, CS4 and Adobe installed related files.
I've tried to unistall (but it won't even get that far) and even tried using the CS4 cleaner script, but it says there's no Adobe software on the computer.

Solution To The Blank Install Alert:
1. Go to http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs4clean.html or www.adobe.com and in the Search Box type "clean script". Scroll through the info to find Clean Script CS3. Download the correct version for your computer Mac or Windows.
2. If on a mac, open the .dmg file and run the Clean Script CS3. It should open a window and ask a language. Then it will ask you to accept the Terms of the agreement. When it asks you to run a level run level 2, twice. It is very important to do this twice. After you have run that twice, run Level 4 twice, even if level 4 is not listed it will run this. And again run Level 4 twice.
* Note Clean Script CS3 is different than CS4 Clean Script and is typically better.
3. Set up a new user and be sure to check the box for administrator abilities.
4. Restart your computer and after it is off and starts to come back on, hold down the shift key to start it in safe mode.
5. Log on as the new user with administrator abilities.
6. Insert your install disk and follow the steps!
After an hour on the phone with a very knowledgeable support guy this is the solution that worked. I did run CS4 clean Script when on the phone with a lady that disconnected me, after running this failed to fix the problem. Thanks To Adobe Support my Design Suite is up and running!

    I am trying to reinstall Creative Suite: Production Premium CS5.5 on my Mac OS since my previous hard drive crashed. I have the disc version of the software, however, when I try to run the installer I get the error message: "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe support advisor." I have searched this error on the forums, which say to navigate to Mac OS: /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers/. However, my Logs folder does not have an Adobe folder, so I am not sure how to troubleshoot my issue. Any help would be appreciated!

    in particular, make sure you are not trying to install on a case-sensitive file system.

  • Clean install of CS3 Production Premium

    Hi,
    I have CS3 Production Premium Suite installed and all elements running well for over a year on a Vista PC.  I am selling the PC to switch to a Mac, and I want to do a clean install of Vista and then re-install CS3 onto the machine.  Will the be any registration/licensing issues when I try to re-install CS3 when it has already been registered?  If there will be, I will avoid the clean install of Vista and just clean the drives.

    It's in Help>Transfer Activation.
    Though it is designed to clean up after the trial of CS3, I'd also run the Adobe CS3 CleanScript a couple of times, before doing a complete reinstall. Note: you want the CS3 version - choose carefully.

  • Installing CS5.5 Production Premium over CS5 Extended

    I have a previous installation of CS5 Design apps with Photoshop CS5 extended, Illustrator and the other web apps (Silly me, purchased Design Suite a year or two ago and now purchased the rest of the apps in CS5.5 Production Premium, should've bought the Master Collection years ago) so now I am trying to install the other apps I need from Production Premium.  It looks like PS and Illustrator come with this set though.
    So I am wondering, if I do a complete install, won't I lose all my PS brushes, styles, and other custom settings?
    Could I just install Premiere, After Effects and Audition?  It also looks like some of these apps are not 5.5 version but 5.1.  Is that correct?
    So what would be my best options for this installation?

    All I really need are the video editing components, so I am not sure if that is just Premiere, After Effects, and Audition.  Do I need other apps for support of these?

    My older computer had all the programs installed but it crashed. I used to use windows 7
    Now I fixed it back up and it's running windows 8.1
    I tried installing all the programs back on it and only half of them installed

    I already tried installing it in recovery mode and i already uninstalled adobe air and re installing it

    I tried running the installer in compatability mode and it gave me fewer errors but it didn't work. I received this

    We tried with a new account, we download the software from the Adobe Server, we did all the possibilitys.
    I work now since 32 hours with your "Experts" without a success. I installed 100 after 100 of Software in my life,
    I had never such a disaster.

    After loading the installer and loading the msvcr80.dll, he ask for DVD 2 and 3 then the installation stops.
    I checked the registry permissions, so far I c an see it it's ok.
    I uninstalled all Adobe application, even the Acrobat Reader and Flash player of coarse.
    I tried to install together with Adobe Support several times in different ways the Software. Even with a new
    account. Beside of working with the DVD, we downloaded the Try Version, even this version we could not install.
    We always got this error

  • Silent install Adobe CS3 Production Premium Issue

    Hi folks,
    I've ran into a problem when trying to roll at CS3 PP onto Windows 7 PCs.
    I got instructions on how to do this from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402715.html but I've ran into a snag in that I have been able to generate the install.xml file ok but when the command runs it works away for a wee while then I get: -
    End Adobe Setup. Exit code: 7
    I'm using the following command string:-
    \\qms03\cip$\AdobeCS3PP\AdobeCS3\setup.exe --mode=silent --deploymentFile=\\qms03\cip$\AdobeCS3PP\AdobeCS3\install.xml
    I've had a look around the Internet and can't find a solution this and I wonder has anyone ever came across it before and do you know how I can solve it so I can get the application installed?

  • Problems installing cs3 production premium: database corrupt

    I have a new computer with windows 8.
    On my old computer i used Premiere Pro CS3, now i tried Premiere Elements 11. I´m not happy with it so i deinstalled it and tried to install the CS3 production premium on the new Computer.
    When I insert the disk and click on install an error appers immediately: "The installation database is corrupt."
    I found out that there is an "Creative Suite Cleaner Tool" so i used it, but this doesnt resolve my error.
    What do I have to do to install the CS3 Production Premium?

    Bob does have a point, though. Installing and using CS3 on Win8 is going to be all sorts of trouble, regardless.

  • Re-installing cs5 production premium

    Hiya
    I bought a new computer window 7, 64 bits, which matchs the requirement for installing the cs5 produciton premium. I had it running perfectly fine at my old computer until the old computer was broken.  First of all, i install ed the cs5 prodcution premuim in my new computer, it runs ok, but I when I using the ILLUSTRATOR, i couldn't use the PATHFINDER , it doesn't alow me to do any merge or trum, or any other function.  So, I thought it might be I din't install it correctly, so I unstalled the whole program, and try to re-install it, however, as I try to install it, there was a little window come up says that I need re-start my computer, So I did as the computer say so . after I restarted the computer, then try to install the program again, the sample little window come up ask me the same question. and I tried a few times, still the same results. So now, I can't re-install the program at all.
    After desperation of no program to use for my project, the new idea came up to my mind, I download the ILLUSTRATION CS6 trial from Adobe website, but still countered the same problem, while I was install the cs6, it asked me to re-start my computer, so i pressed the ignore buttun. and here comes the message on my computer
    : 4 errors
    PAYLOAD:(9E0AF030-AC6B-11E0-8837-0021AEA26C9)MICROSOFT VISUAL C++2010 RESITRIBUTABLE PACKAGE (X86)10.0.40219.1
    ERROR:FAILED TO INSTALL MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ 2010 REDISTRIBUTABLE PACKAGE (86). PLEASE TRY INSTALLING IT BY DOUBLE CLICING ON THE EX.

    So please advise me what should i do now. I need install my cs5 production premium suite

    And funny thing is the trial cs6 I have download has no function of pathfinder either, I am so confused!
    I have been use the pathfinder in the past so many times from my older computer, it was perfectly fine.
    And I also tried to open the file I created before, as I open the file, there was a little window came up says: font problem, the font in the file wasn't found in this program, do you still want to open this file?
    My godness, it was oringinally created from Illustrator cs5 Only, how come the new installed illustrator doesn't work? Funny thing is, i bought the whole program was only for the sake of illustrator, and it's THE only program I know how to use. Now I can't use the pathfinder to merge the objects.
    Please help me , I am getting so frustrated! And it took me so much time just to fingure out why it doesn't work.

    Hi,
    How do I install the CS Production Premium "Content and Installation Help" disk (the 3rd of the 3 disk set although it's not labelled as disk "3")? There's an autorun.inf file but no setup.exe. The generic on-disk installation instructions are useless for this disk since they assume a setup.exe file exists.
    The disk contains the following folders: Adobe CS6 Speech Analysis Models, Adobe Encore CS6 Functional Content, Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 Functional Content, and Fonts.

    There is no installer for the files AudiosBro they are additional content which can be added to those applications.  For specific inquiries about the contents please post in the applicable forum for that application.  You can find a list of available forums at https://forums.adobe.com/welcome.

    Well, since these forums are usually littered with issues I thought I'd break the trend!  I just installed the CS5 Production Premium suite from DVD onto 64-bit Windows 7 Pro.   Not a single problem.

  • Installing CS4 production premium on a PowerMac G5

    Has anyone tried to install CS 4 Production Premium on a 2003 dual 2 GHz Power PC G5 processor? The Adobe sales person said I should be fine, but the packaging says an Multicore Intel processor is a requirement. Just want to make sure before I go down the road of installing.

    Ahh, I see. I have heard that After Effects, Premiere, and Soundbooth don't work. And I switched to production premium from design premium because of after effects....
    Anyway, perhaps I'll go ahead and try installing it.

    I'm trying to install the Adobe CS3 Production Premium package on my new computer. After I select "Install Adobe CS3 Production Premium" from the initial dialog box, a new box saying "Initializing Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium" appears with a progress bar. When the progress bar completes, nothing happens. The license agreement window fails to launch. I've tried copying the Adobe CS3 folder to my desktop and running setup.exe alone with no success.
    When I use the same disks on a different computer, the license agreement launches.
    Any help you guys can give me would be appreciated.
