Blank line in MSCONFIG connected to error 148:3?
Install any Adobe CS4 product on a Windows OS and the software adds some number of Startup items to MSCONFIG including CS4ServiceManager, AdobeCollabSync and a blank line with no Startup file name or Command Line entry.
Until Adobe's products added those Startup items, I had no software loading from my MSCONFIG Startup group. The blank line was disconcerting so I unchecked it. That, apparently, triggered the dreaded "error 148:3" message about a licensing problem. That error can be resolved by running LicenseRecover.exe, a file available for download from somewhere on the Adobe.com site. However, as long as the blank line in MSCONFIG is unchecked, CS4 products will continue to not run and will continue to display the 148:3 error message.
So...what does the blank line in MSCONFIG do? What is it? How is it that Adobe can add an unnamed Startup item to MSCONFIG?

Getting blank line in the smartform

I have developed a smartform for which I am showing the current page amount total (subtotal) at the last of each page and Grand total on the last page. In case of last page I am showing only Grand total and not subtotal.
But sometimes on the first page before showing the current page total (subtotal) a blank line appears.
how can we remove this? I have seen the internal table for which the looping has done but this blank line has no connection with the internal table.

I am currently trying to connect to a third party ECU via the ECU toolkit. I am running V8.2 of labview and V2.1 of the toolkit with a series 2 hi-speed PCI NI-CAN card. When I try to connect to the ECU I get a timeout error "-301096: Timeout ocurred while waiting for response from slave device".
When the A2L file is initially loaded, the individual characteristic and measurement tables load without a problem but the CAN settings do not load. As a result, I use the MC set property vi to manually set CRO id, DTO id, baud rate, byte order and command byte order (after using the hex string to number conversion vi). I also manually set the seedkey dll's but I don't think that the program is getting that far since I have also tried putting in non-existant seedkey dll's and this has no effect.
I have tried increasing the timeout by factors of 10 and 100 by using the "Set Prop Timing factor" Vi as this is given as a solution to problems with the series 1 boards but this does not help.
I am using extended (29 bit) identifiers and in one of the supplied examples, there is a multiplication by 20 million and I have also tried this (it changes the CRO id from 0CCCCCCC to 2CCCCCCC for example).
I have tried using an XCP type connection but I get the same error.
I have checked the physical state of the CAN bus by looking at the CAN0 channel in MAX and the bus monitor reports no errors and seems to have 3 distinct messages that keep repeating. When in 'listen only mode', the number of repeated messages returns to 1.
I have included here an excerpt from the A2L file I am using and I have been manually setting up the ECU properties as follows:

Is there a way to tell if the Exchange_id function in the CCP protocol is being called? I would be grateful of any suggestions to help get this up and running.
Note that I have changed the proprietary A2L information.

I tried starting off from a completely blank A2L and added connection parameters one at a time until I was sure each line was being read correctly by the toolkit parser. This seemed to work fine but the connection would open, try to unlock ECU resources and then return an error that the resources were unavailable and I should try a different seedkey.dll. I captured the CAN frames that were being sent via a second CAN card to look at the exact command sequence. I then extracted the seed data from the get seed reply frame and used a call library node function to call the seedkey.dll. This returned a different key to the one that was being sent in the unlock command so I could only assume that the toolkit is not calling the seedkey correctly somehow but since this is all hidden in a dll, I could not look at the exact mechanics to see what was going wrong. I then built a VI using the frame API stuff that comes with the NI-CAN drivers cd to manually send the the frames required to connect then get seed. I use the same call library node function to call the seedkey.dll and then build another frame with the returned key. This all seems to work fine and I have an unlocked ECU. Unfortunately since I did all this with the frame API, there was no way to subsequently use the toolkit vi's as they are built around the channel API which is apparently incompatible. Feeling completely frustrated with the non-functional toolkit and having logged a couple of tech help requests with NI I have given up on the tooklit altogether, built my own A2L parser and I am almost finished with the communications interface using the frame APIs. Blank line appears in reportviewer but not on printout

In a VS 2005 .net web app a blank line at the end of a textbox appears in the reportviewer but is suppressed when I click the reportviewer print button and create a pdf.
I want the blank line so that there is a gap between the text and the border I have around the texbox
Any ideas?It could be that you have inadvertently imported these CDs into iTunes as part of a compilation. If so, the artists won't show in the artists menu on the iPod.
To check, highlight the tracks on one of the offending artists CDs in iTunes, right click and select "get info". This brings up a multiple song info window, and from there you can check if you have 'yes' in the box marked "part of a compilation".
If you have, select 'no' instead and click 'ok'. Do this with any CD that has this issue. This will alter the info in iTunes, and you should then connect your iPod and synchronize the changes.
The problem arises because the information contained on the Gracenote CD Data Base (where iTunes gets all it's album/artist/track info from), is sometimes incorrect. It can show CDs as compilations when in fact they are not.
You should also check that the songs have album name info in their ID tags.

we are using file receiver with file content conversion , tp : FTP
The file has a flat structure & fixed length (no delimiters) :
reordset parameters used- fieldFixedLengths
each record is in a different line, but at the end of the records a blank line is inserted.
(no endSeparator is used.)

I am not sure but you can try with follwing parameters...
NameA.fixedLengthTooShortHandling Specify how you want the system to respond when column widths in the actual document exceed those defined in NameA.fieldFixedLengths. The following values are permitted:
· Error
Error means that processing of the document is terminated.
· Cut
Cut means that a value is shortened to the maximum permitted length.
· Ignore
Ignore means that the system applies the value completely, regardless of it being too long. Subsequent columns are moved correspondingly.
U can use ignore in your case.

Flex/Zend channel connect failed error...

I am using Flex and php to develop my project. Everything works great in my local machine. However, when I upload my files to my server (godaddy.com). I got the error when loading my flex application.

Basically, an employee can have multiple address entries, and multiple salary entries, and there are multiple employees.
The file produced is what I require, except where an employee has no address, but has a salary, or no salary, but has an address. In these cases, I get a blank line.
How do I prevent a blank line appearing - by changing the D3L file, or by doing a conditional copy when I map from common view to application view?

You need to choose the FTP in the "transport protocol" option. Then in the FTP connection parameters choose the option Connection Security and assign the value "FTPS for control and Data Connection". Then the "Command Order" will show up below that option and you could leave the default value itself. If you are using Public private key certificates of X.509 then you could choose the option "Use x.509 certificate for client authentication" and assign the values to the "keystore" and "certificate & private key" fields.
Note: To use the FTP with SSL you need to add the CA certificate to the TrustedCAs keystore view.

Ace - connection reset (Error 101)
Hi, I have a problem with a Cisco ACE, after approximately an hour being in production, for all new connections
it gives the message: connection reset. The message on any web browser is: connection reset (Error 101)
It blocks any backend server (Apache).I get same error also when I try to connect direcly to the backend address.
This error saturates the connections on the servers (in the log of the DB I found error connection reset)
Without ACE all work fine, it's not a load traffic issue.
It seems like once opened a connection the ace does not close it anymore!
But the graphical snmp servers do not report the increase in connections, what is mistake ?
The balancer manages two physical servers and is configured in stickyness mode

Can SAP ignore blank lines in Excel when uploading the planning for PCA?

We have launch planning on PCA in SAP. We are uploading the planning figures from an Excel-sheet via the standard function in SAP. The problem is that sometimes we get blank lines in the Excel-doc. When we upload with blank lines we receive an error. Can I somehow get SAP to ignore blank lines?

Dreamweaver has added thousands of blank lines to my code
I installed creative cloud and dreamweaver - I edited a few PHP / HTML / javascript files on my server - now dreamweaver had added thousands of blank lines to my code. It will take days to clean them out and I can't seem to find a "find and replace" or "regular expression" to remove these... first of all... THANKS SO MUCH FOR GIVING ME THIS HEADACHE... and now.... HOW THE FRIG DO I GET RID OF THESE???

I just tested and proved it.
Took a well formatted html doc....
Edited it (remotely) with two different software -
Then connected Dreamweaver Edited it again... and WHAMO!
11,0000 lines of new blank lines.
Dreamweaver is for sure confusing something as a new line.
Undoubted there is a reason for this... but it is for sure Dreamweaver the culprit for actuating it.
The files are of course downloaded as temp files - edited - and then uploaded at save....
So my tests are true and consistent.
Three different editing software all performing the exact same steps.
Yet - Dreamweaver adds thousands of blank lines.
It looks to me as though it is adding the line where there was a return. Somehow interpreting it as 2 line returns.
Whatever is happening - is happening inside dreamweaver, while using its "files connect to remote server" function.
These are live websites with custom PHP, PHP frameworks, MySQL calls, Javascript and...
I have been using the "Switch Design View To Live View" to test the PHP changes I make right in DreamWeaver.in Dreamweaver, how to prevent it, or how to get rid of the 10's of thousands of returns once they have been added.
If anyone has any actual answers as to why this is happening …. Please let me know.
I am not interested in assumptions from the many here who tend to waste a lot of space and time convoluting these forms.
This is a real problem and has already been proven to be actuated by Dreamweaver... So please... Only answers that may help sort out why or how this is happening within Dreamweaver.

Here is my post:
For people having issues with DW (or any other ftp app) adding extra blank lines: changing the ftp mode to BINARY probably solves this behaviour. It happened once to me when using Filezilla ftp.
Dreamweaver automatically uses ASCII to transfer readable text based files (like html and php). To change this transfer mode to BINARY, open FTPExtensionMap.txt (WIndows in AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS6\en_US\Configuration) and edit that file in a text editor.
Then change the appropriate mappings.
Hope that helps fix the problem.It's a known problem in certain cases, though I haven't experienced it a lot (just once a few years ago in Filezilla, actually). It has to do with how a Windows system and certain Linux systems might interpret CR LF and LF line endings.

SQL Data Modeler adds blank line to UK Constraints

I'm migrating my schema designs from Oracle Designer to SQL Developer Data Modeler. When I get to the point of generating SQL files I consistently get an extra blank line added to every unique constraint. My primary key constraints are defined the same way, but they do not have the blank line. See below for an example of the SQL output:

Blank lines on black print output
We are seeing blank lines for the black print head. We replaced the cartridge and ran 1,2,3 level print head cleaning with no improvement. Ran diagnostics, but I can't see any differences in that report between the different color cartridges.
Please read this post then provide some details. What printer model? What operating system? Are there any error messages on the printer or computer screen?

You probably work with this table every day, and you probably struggled with this particular query for a while before posting a question, so you're very familiar with the table, the data, and the application.
Perhaps no one else in the world is in that position. Don't assume we know what your data is, or where it came from.
Are you getting the data from a query like this?

As Ow said, you should manufacture a column for use in the BREAK command, and use COLUMN ... NOPRINT if you don't want to see it in the results?
The question here is, what is an appropriate column? CONNECT_BY_ROOT seems to work perfectly for your example

You might think CONNECT_BY_ISCYCLE was an obvious choice for a BREAK oclumn: you want to skip a line after every output row where CONNECT_BY_ISCYCLE = 1.
Unfortunately, BREAK always works when a column value changes. That is, you can't tell it "Please skip one line after rows where columnz = 1"; all you can say is "Please skip a row before rows where columnz is different than it was on the previous row". (At least that's what I think: I would love it if someone proved me wrong!)
So we have to manufacture some column that keeps its value for an entire loop. The SUM of CONNECT_BY_ISCYCLE (in DESCending order, as returned by the CONNECT BY query) would work. Analytic ORDER BY clauses seem to destroy the order imposed by CONNECT BY, so you'd have to do the CONNECT BY in a sub-query, capture the ROWNUM to preserve the order, and use the analytic SUM function in the main query:

, CONNECT_BY_ISCYCLE AS cycle_val
FROM table_x
START WITH columna IN (1, 4)
CONNECT BY NOCYCLE columna = PRIOR (columnb)

, SUM (cycle_val) OVER (ORDER BY ROWNUM DESC)

FROM oq
ORDER BY r_num
;The only reason for actually doing this is to learn about CONNECT BY queries. CONNECT_BY_ROOT, as shown above, works much better for your requirements.
