Blank Lines in a table in Smartforms

Hey fellas,
Why m i getting 2 blank lines after each table line...?
My Line Spacing Setting in Smartstyle is exactly 1 LN...if changed to less output is jumbled...
And my internal table doesn't contain any blank line too...
Plzz HELP !

When u r going to create a table in forms it will show the all details regarding the tables
like -> color
-> width etc...
From there u can do that .
u can also select the table format as all ready defined formats i.e available in he same screen.

Hi
The width of the Line Type in a table is decided by table width itself. For example 20cm is the width of the table,then you can divide the table width into number of columns you want. If you want only 2 columns then,
next to the line type..one column width would be 10 and the other would be 10...so If you want to decrease the width of a column in the line type..then you would have to adjust that in the other one.
For example, If 10 and 10 cm each is what you have in your line type, then in the first column you can reduce the width to 5 cm and then increase the other column width to 15cm, in that way the total width of the line type will be equal to that of the table width.
Also, it is not necessary that the line type width should be equal to table width. It can be less also.
You can adjust the width at details tab..here you will have the table line type details like this:
Line Type 1. 2.
LTYPE1% 10.00cm 10.00 cm "here you can reduce the table line width.

I am inserting a report from a internal table for eg the content of my internal table is
data : abc
event initialization.
perform read_data.
Now I want 1 blank line after every line in the internal table for eg
data:abc
event initialization
perform read_data.
How to insert a blank line in an internal table?

Line height of table in smartforms

Hi,
I have created a table in smartform. I want to set row height in the table as it is available in template. Is there any option available to set height for the table row???

In table node it is not possible to define the height of a table line. Please find the bold paragraphs in the following text(SAP library)...
Table tab properties minimum height is set the total table height.
The line height depends on the font height used in Paragraph format for your text element.
Line Types for Tables
The height of a table depends of the amount of data to be displayed or printed in a table. Therefore, you cannot use the line types in the Table Painter alone to describe the table layout, as you do it with line types for templates:
With templates the view in the Table Painter directly maps the output on the form. This is possible because the structure of a template does not change at runtime.
With tables the view in the Table Painter is an overview of all existing line types. However, it does not indicate which line types are used when for table output.
Dynamic Cell Height
The height of a table depends on the number of table lines and on the height of all table lines included in the output. The height of each table line depends on the highest cell, which again depends on the contents to be displayed in this cell. When filling table cells with contents, nothing is truncated, instead, the cell height is increased.
In the Table Painter, the height of the line types is displayed as a constant because it has no meaning for the output.
Unlike with line types for tables, for templates you specify a fixed line height for the line type. Any output that does not fit into a cell is truncated.

No blank line between address node in smartform

hi all ,
customer want to delete the blank line between address , is there a way to solve this ? i just want to use the address node.

For the paragraph format used with the ADDRESS command, indicate that you don't want blank lines.
Eg. /: ADDRESS PARAGRAPH ZD
So for this Paragraph Format 'ZD' check the checkbox 'No Blank Lines'.

Control Line Items of table in Smartforms

Hi,
Please help me out for following problem which I am facing in smartforms.
Scenario u2013 I am trying to print Bank Payment voucher, In this I am passing two internal tables from my driver program, One internal table is for header details and other internal table for Line item details.
I am Looping for header details and under the templates, I am populating header data into itu2019s appropriate places, for line item details, I am using Table and able to populate line item details, Now say my line item should print only 5 line items in one page and if there are more than 5 line items , it should print next line items on next page.   when new page will start it should print header details and footer details also,
In last last row, I have put the program code where I am counting the number of line items, and below that i have put 'Command' and in command condition, I have stated that if linecnt > 5 , go to next page%2 and in page 2, I have again copied the header details but , it is not working,
In short the Flow of Smartforms is given below.

And one thing more that line count may not be increasing. ..... so try to send the flag of page triggring from ur driver program.

Blank line in the smartforms

Hi all,
I am getting a blank line in a table display in smartforms. In print preview it looks good, but when it is printed it displays a blank line.But there is no data loss.
I am using a dotmatrix printer.

at the starting or ending?
how u r ptrinin it using TABLE node ot LOOP node?
1.once check whether the ITAB contains any extra blenk line
2.if u r using the LOOP node then may be u r looping extra iterations

Extra blank lines in table

I am getting an extra blank line in my table rows using the following statement:

When PAY_TYPE is equal to 'R' it will print the sum, but then there is a blank line under it.
Ex:
| 20.00
|
But I want:
| 20.00
Any ideas?

Sure - you need to specify the correct "context" how we call it.
When your document contains XSL - the RTF converter has to make assumption
where to put your code - for if statement the assumption is on fo:block (=paragraph) level.
You can the context directive @inlines behind your if statement to correct your problem.
<?if@inlines:sum(current-group()//HOURS != '0'?> should correct the problem
This example is described on page 2-56 "" in the 5.6.1 User Guide. You may also want to read on the context in general in the section "Using the Context Command" (2-107 in the 5.6.1 user guide).

Getting blank line in the smartform

Hi,
I have developed a smartform for which I am showing the current page amount total (subtotal) at the last of each page and Grand total on the last page. In case of last page I am showing only Grand total and not subtotal.
But sometimes on the first page before showing the current page total (subtotal) a blank line appears.
how can we remove this? I have seen the internal table for which the looping has done but this blank line has no connection with the internal table.
What could be the reason behind this and how to resolve this?

Smartform : blank line created with out any reson , why ?

I have regular letter.

Line b
Line c......
but from some reason , some blank line created and cause spaces between the lines , why ?

I don't think theres any problem in ur table.
I think u have gone wrong in ur formatting.
u can try the following...
1) try to remove all the blank spaces, manually.
2) try to create right paragraph formats. paragraph formats will give a proper look, font, spaces & tabs to ur paragraph or to the text to which u assign that paragraph format.
assign the same paragraph format to all the lines.
3) if already the lines have some paragraph formats then check their line spacings.
line spacing is an attribute in paragraph format, where u can mention the amount of space between 2 lines called.
it is possible that the 1st 3 lines have been assigned the paragraph format with 0.5 LN line spacing
and next with 1.00 line spacing...so the rest of the lines appear as if theres a blank line between them
like this :
line 1
line 2
line 3
line 4
line 5
please try doing this...hopefully it should help u. it definitely seems to be some minor problem, which maybe is getting ingored by us. check every line properly.
Note: since i'm not infront of SAP window now, so not very sure...but in sap scripts we have this option in menu
GOTO -> LIST DISPLAY   in this, the form is seen in list format...it clearly shows whether u have a blank line inbetween or no. thats the best format to check in.
not much sure abt smartforms, but please check.

How to avoid blank lines in smartforms?

I am using an INCLUDE TEXT in a smartform. The problem is it is priniting with the blank lines entered in the standard text.
I couldn't find any option for avoiding these blank lines using the respective smartstyles.
Is there any option to avoid the blank lines ? Please help me.

Hi,
well if the blank lines are present in the include text.
then you have to modify the standard text.
in the smartform the text is printed as it is.
you need to make changes to the standard text.

How to suppress blank lines in smartforms

     How can we suppress blank lines in smartforms?
In my scenario I am having customer address details in main window.
i.e. Name
     Street
      P O Box
      P O Box Location
      Post Code
      Telephone
      Fax.
Suppose if there is no value for P O Box Location the address is getting displayed as
      Name
     Street
      P O Box
                      -> Leaving blank space
      Post Code
      Telephone
      Fax.
But I want it as
     Name
     Street
      P O Box
      Post Code
      Telephone
      Fax.
i.e The blank line should not be displayed.
Kindly let me know how to do this.

Are you using ADDRESS option in smartforms or code to get address from customer master?
If you are using code, you can give condition like P O Box Location <> SPACE in condition tab.

Smartforms: Blank line is displaying in item list from page2 onwords

Hi Guys,
In Output messages(ME9K), using smartform to display list. First page layout and 2nd, 3rd .......pages layout is different.
so i defind two pages. output list displaying is correct which is more then 2 pages, but from 2nd page onwords one blank line is coming in mainwindow at items list.
2nd page i selected is mode:Page and overall page unchanged.
can you suggest me please.

I'd guess that you're getting an "extra value". The tenth parameter to select_list_from_lov can be set to 'NO' to suppress this but you'll want to determine why there is an extra value if you aren't expecting one.
