Blank log in screen (blue screen with clouds)

Hello,
I have already scoured throughout the forums and tried every solution I have seen to no avail.
I am running Windows 7, 32 BIT. Internet Explorer 11
The following is a list of procedures I have already tried:
-tried to register the javascript .dll files (both succeeded successfully but issue still persists)
-Tried to change permissions in c:\programdata\skype and in program files
-Uninstalled/reinstalled
-Downgraded IE to 10, then 9, then 8
At this point, not sure what else to try. Please advise.

You can try with this "legacylogin" workaround, which may enable you login with Skype name, but not with Microsoft account.
Quit Skype. Make sure that you don’t see any Skype.exe processes in Windows Task Manager. If necessary, then stop these processes.
Open this folder on your computer:
C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\
You should see there the Skype application file (Skype.exe).  Right click on the Skype.exe file and select: Send to – Desktop (create shortcut). Right click on the newly created shortcut and select Properties and then the Shortcut tab. In the Target field you will see now:
"C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe"
Click with your mouse on the text in the Target field and move your curser one space after the last quotation sign and add the text /legacylogin. The text in the Target field should now read:
"C:\Program Files\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe"  /legacylogin
Click OK to save the changes. Start Skype using this new shortcut.

    When I start Skype, it goes straight to a blue screen with blue clouds and a green rainbow at the bottom. I get no prompt to login. I have followed various guides, such as renaming login to login1, deleting login, restarting the computer, uninstalling then installed skype (which gets me an error code 2734 I think), uninstalled and installed Internet Explorer. I have run windows update and everything is up to date. I also followed the advise in the floated topic, and even after using Command Prompt (which was not in Accessories folder, had to search cmd to find it) and restarting, the 'click this button' does not work.
    Skype was working fine on Sunday, and now it is broken. The only thing I have done in the meantime is run a repair tool for Windows Media Player as a game I installed required it to play in game music.
    EDIT: I use Windows 7.

    Scripting in Internet Explorer might be disabled by an Antivirus software. What Antivirus software is installed on your computer?
    Meanwhile you can try the “legacylogin” workaround, which should enable login to Skype using the old legacy login window. However, you will not be able to login using Microsoft account (email address).

  • Blank "Log In" screen pops up randomly

    On my iPhone 4S, a blank screen, with a header bar that says "Log In" and "http://www.apple.com" above that, has been popping up randomly, usually shortly after opening an app. Even if I let it sit there, it never loads anything–it just stays white. It's got a Cancel button on the upper right, and after I click that, everything continues as normal, but the screen popping up is getting quite annoying since it usually happens several times a day. Anyone know what's causing this or how to fix it?

    This happens to me also.   It starting popping up when I tried to log into AT&T wifi outside my work office.  We have an AT&T corporate office below us.   When I saw that there was no passcode for the wifi I click on it and ever since then that windows just pops up everytime I go outside for break or lunch.  I just hit cancel each time.
    It's a pain but haven't figured out the solution yet.

    Hello, I have an ASP.NET app which is opening a separate report window (IE browser instance). Each time I open this window to generate/view a report, I call CreateLogonTokenEx() to get a new token to pass to BOE.
    Is this the correct method?
    If so, then here's the problem I'm seeing. The first time I open the window I get the BO "Log On" screen. If I close the window and then click my report link again (and remember each click generates a new token), the report window opens again and successfully displays my report.
    After this window successfully displays I close it, then wait the duration of the token's session (validMinutes) and try clicking the report link again. I again get the "Log On" screen, which I can then close and reopen successfully with another click in the same sequence I described above.
    If I'm generating a new token with every report click (and I verified this), then why do I get prompted with the "Log On" screen? And why does it go away with the next new token and click but not with the first?
    So the first question is: why do I get prompted the first time I generate a new token in a new session?
    The second is: why is it that once I've viewed the report on the second attempt, and the token validity has passed, the next report request results in a login prompt, despite the fact that I'm generating a new token for each request? In other words, why does one token's timeout seem to affect another's?
    I feel like there's something fundamental I'm missing here. To me, a new session token means a new session unaffected by any other, but I'm being prompted on its first use.
    Any ideas? I wonder if I'm doing something incorrectly, but I can't figure out what that would be.

  • Dropped 5th gen  blank white backlit screen with crack on inner screen

    Please can anyone help. Is it worth just getting the screen repaired or will i still encounter any problems as the ipod no longer connects properly to the computer. And i cannot get anything to work, it just displays a blank white screen until the battery runs out.
    It was only a 2 ft drop onto carpet. Not a scratch/dent visible.

    Have you tried doing a reset on it yet?
    Slide the hold switch from OFF to ON back to OFF then immediately hold down BOTH the center and Menu buttons for a good 15-30 seconds or until it restarts with the Apple logo.
    Resetting isn't always effective once and you may need to retry it several times to get it to work.

  • I cannot log onto sites that require my log in and password. I get no error message, fire fox just goes back to the same empty log in screen. this problem is not limited to one site. I reloaded firefox with same results.

    When i type in my log in and password and enter, the site either returns to the blank screens or does nothing. This is not limited to one or two sites. all of my financial institutions, electric company, insurance companies, even trying to register here so that i could ask this questions. In this situation, when i hit the register button, nothing happend, its as iff the button is inactive. i had to go to IE to register and post this question. I just tried to enter my new log in and pw on the screen in fire fox and nothing happens. Some sites behave differently when i hit the submit or log in button. the information seems to be transmitted but the screen comes right back to the original log in screen with blank fields. there are no error instructions that something does not match or is missing. then i go to IE and it works.
    This started a few weeks ago. I cant identify anything that was added around that time but i tried a system restore and that did nothing. i deleted fire fox and downloaded the latest version 3.6.13 and it is still happening

    This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.
    Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
    * Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
    "Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    * Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

  • Bizarre Broken Log-In Screen Issue.  Help!

    So, I've disabled the log-in screen in system preferences (before I had to log-in after waking the computer up).  However, sometimes, and only sometimes, after the computer sleeps, I wake it up and the log-in screen still comes up.  The weirdest part is it's not even the full log-in screen.  I can see my photo and the field to type the password, but only about half of the screen is greyed out - so I can see windows I have open and my desktop on part of of the screen.  However, I cannot access anytihng until I log in.  It kind of looks like someone erased half of the log-in screen with a square eraser because the edges are perfectly straight and there's some random grey log-in squares still floating around on side that's been broken off.  Keep in mind I have disabled the log-in feature.  This seems to happen when there's video left on a window - like YouTube or the iTunes Music Store. 
    Anyone have any insight into what this might be?  The computer seems to be ok otherwise though apps are a bit slow to launch maybe (given my SSD you'd think they'd be lightning quick).  I repaired permissions but this didn't help.

    Your problem has def something to do with a recent update of itunes - got he same problem. All the time I keep it running and move on doing something else it logs out as you told. There are more people out there having the same problem. When shops openig after holiday I will too go and get that checked in the store.
    By the way your right my mac's getting slow.

    OUtlook was already set as the mail client for FF, and is my operating system (XP)'s default mail programme. therefore problem not solved at all. what I get whenever I follow a link in a webpage to send an e-mail is a little pop up window asking me to sign in to gmail or open an account. any other suggestions?

    What happened yesterday may have been caused by the SOPA protest action that was joined by a lot of sites yesterday and such an action won't happen that often.

              If your hard drive is failing on short DST test then you will need to contact HP in your local region and arrange with HP a repair ( Hard drive replacement )  .  You say your machine is still in Warranty then the cost of shipping and repair will be covered by HP .

    What I have tried:
    Uninstalled iTunes,
    Removed firewall and protection.
    Re-installed iTunes 64bit (still get the same issue)
    Restarted firewall, added apple.com etc.
    I have created a new user profile to no vail.
    Still the same issue. I can access using my iPod 

    I am having the same problem ever since I upgraded.  Have received four emails from Apple support on the
    issue and nothing has worked.  Unloaded 10.5 and went back to 10.3 which worked fine but it would not allow
    me to sync my Iphone with the ios 5 upgrade.  Went back to 10.5 and sometimes get exactly what you do when
    I try an access the store.  It looks like something is clearly missing.  Have done just about everything I have seen
    on threads but nothing works.  Really need help.

    Yes, or you can simply restart. As you don't have the CDs, this isn't on the plate any more.
    The internal backup battery is not expensive and, in most iMacs is user-replacable. If yours has a tray-loading optical drive like this one:
    it takes a major teardown to replace the internal battery. If this is the case, you'd be better off to leave the computer plugged in all the time; that eliminates the main reason for having a working battery.
    If it has a slot-loading optical drive like this one:
    things are much easier. The battery is visible through the RAM access door on the bottom of the computer case. The manual:

    has sketches of how to access the RAM and therefore the backup battery. Unfortunately, the pdf on the manual goes up sideways on-screen and the RAM instructions are pretty deep into the manual. It's probably easier to scroll (for a while) to the section on adding RAM and print the applicable pages.
    When you work on the battery, some sort of non-conductive pliers or large tweezer or forceps help unless you have tiny fingers. Make sure to note the polarity of the old battery and install the new one in the same orientation.
    The battery itself is readily available. If price is no oblect, you can get it for a small rasom from Radio Shack Store ("Tandy" outside the US) as part number 23-026.
    Online, they are dirt-cheap even after adding shipping. I buy backup batteries form this outfit:

    This is what happens. My wife gets a fortnightly pay slip sent  to one our
    emails. It says that to see the speciific details it is necessaty to click
    on a pdf icon. But it also says that to utilise this option it is necessary
    to download Adobe Reader and it has a link. So afterr you have gone through
    the whole procedure to download Adobe Reader you then click on that icon
    againn now secure in the knowledge that you are  registered with Adobe
    Reader ot have succesfully doiwnloade it at any rate. But when you click on
    the icon up comes blue screen over which roam the words  "Music" "Films"
    etc and there is a toolbar that appears to be suited to a media function
    -play buytton etc.
    What I want is something which says word to the effect click on this and
    your pay details will appear/.

I don't remember) and it turned from grey (no apple symbol) to blue blank. Then third time, grey followed by blue with vertical lines, not blocky clear lines that you can see if you are close to it.
