Blank offline mixes in Nokia Music

Has anyone experienced specific mixes dissapearing or appearing blank when downloaded to offline from Nokia Music?

Hi. I have this problem. I have the Lumia 720 and I cannot get a offline mix that is ever complete. Sometimes it is completely empty, other times it has 2 songs in the Top 40. Now I would guess that the Top 40 would have 40 songs and not only 2? (just a little joke) From my perspective I am thinking that Nokia Music doesn't handle error correction very well. I connect via a 2Mbit/s satellite connection and if I have the connection for myself, I get possibly 30 of the 40 songs, when I have to contend with colleagues that's when I only get 1 or 2 songs. Our satellite connection although perfect for receiving emails and browsing in the middle of the Congo on a mine, needs a good download manager to get a large file downloaded so to correctly verify the packets received for corruption as many packets unfortunately do get corrupted. I hope Nokia work on a solution for this, as I'm sure there will be others with unreliable connections out there. Frankly, I did download a couple of mixes while in the USA via an ADSL connection and even then, one or two of the mixes seemed incomplete.

Nokia Music / MIX Radio Bugs and BUGS at Care Cent...

I am feeling absilutely dejected to have bought a Lumia 820.
It has been a year and over but still Nokia has not been able to provide solutions to generic and chronic problems. I have been asking for solution to the music problem since a year but no answer but today at last when i visited nokia care centre (Bohra Communications, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad) IT WAS A COMPLETE LET DOWN ! The guy who received me was a total Noob and illitrate and also all engineers (They didnt even know Amber, Black and whether it can be rolled back or not One guy asked another "Boss can we have Amber in 820 after Reset?. They just did not know anything. I am proud that I have more knowledge about updates and firmwares of my handsets.
My chronic problem was MUSIC ( Duplicating/ Dissappearing / Showing errors etc etc)
My music (downloaded from Nokia music only gets lost, shows errors and moves to other storage folder. I had "Lumia Black" updated OTA.
I bought this lumia for the free music subscription for a year and the person at the service centre said it is wrong. Whatever, but he said that the issue was with subscription. He did not understand that errors "c00d36c4" "player error" etc are not because of subscription but are bugs .....
My phone has been reset (hard reset) for more than 5 times in past month and thats what i do all day. NOKIA IS GREAT !! However just an hour back the Bohra communication care centre again did the same. What the HECK is happening ?
FORGET GETTING SOLUTION, PEOPLE DO NOT EVEN LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND.
I am desparately seeking to throw this NOKIA + MICROSOFT junk away and opt for other.
What did I gain buying a MS Nokia product ? No music since over a year and now additionally after reset the backup also is lost. Last time I did I had to update 23 apps and this time its down to only 8 apps !!!!

I am constantly getting the problem you talk about in your second para. I don't experience it if I'm playing Nokia's own Offline selections, but it has been happening constantly over the past few weeks if I use the Create A Mix selections that I have downloaded for offline listening.
Recently both the Offline Mixes and Create A Mix selections reduced themselves suddenly to four or five tracks only in each Mix! Like you, I had to delete everything and download all again. Chews up my data allowance.
Nokia's offline mixes don't appear to download using a free WiFi connection - is that normal? I really have to watch my data allowance. Offline mixes will now expire after 10 days it seems.
Altogether Nokia Mix Radio appears to be full of bugs. I hope their software people are reading...

Nokia music update no longer carries mix radio fea...

Hello I am a little disturb after coming to realize that the recent update for the Nokia Music app does not consist the mix radio feature on my phone that was one my favourite things that I had liked about it including the option of having offline radio music available in your phone was just superb but now that I no longer have access to that it kills me. So can you please help me fix this issue.

Have you possibly bouhgt your phone abroad? What I'm thinking about is if there is some domestic laws there where you live that causes this? If that's not the case, maybe you should back up all your personal stuff from your phone and then reset it (settings-> about-> reset your phone).

How to stream Nokia Music Mixes via Play To

Just moved from an HTC Mozart to Lumia 800 and love the Nokia exclusive apps. Really enjoying Nokia Music, and would like to be able to stream this to my home stereo via DLNA. The Play To app seemed to be perfect, however this can only stream my music collection, and not the Nokia Music mixes...
Anyone have a way to stream the mixes to a home stereo?

Nokia Music Mix Radio offline mixes are not available outside your Lumia device. Unless you plug it into your stereo using the headphone out obviously..

Nokia Music Offline Info

Has anyone checked to see how long an offline download lasts? I played it for an hour or so today and I am wondering how many more tunes are left and should I remix it or stick with this download for the next day.
When I checked the FAQ it says, "It plays until the end and then starts over". I was wondering when 'the end' is.

I have a Lumia 720 which lost its Nokia Music free subscription of 1 year in 6 months.

Now I am getting pop up "Activation Problem : .....see attachemnt" Its very disappointing and shocking that one of the encouraging features in Lumia720 (Nokia Mix Radio) suddenly stops working instead of providing service for 1 Year. Initially this sudden seizure spoiled our mental peace, forcing us to try re-installation and discussions until I read some comment in Support page. Nokia Music: Mix Radio, Store, Gigs options disapp...

I have been using Nokia Music on Lumia 710 without an issue until today when I launched it and options for mix radio, store & gigs disappeared. I uninstalled the app and re-downloaded it.
On launching it, all options became available but disappeared again after a few seconds. Any subsequent launch without re-downloading doesn't show the options. Only my Music & Settings appear.
What could be the issue? Am running Nokia Music vs 3.1.0.0 on OS Version 7.10.8773.98; Firmware 1600.3031.8773.12121.
Any assistance will be appreciated.

You can find release information on the new version of Nokia Music in this post. As of v3.x it is no longer possible to bypass the terms and conditions you agree on when using Nokia Music and use it in a region where the service (either Nokia Music and/or Mix Radio) are not available. See the list of countries where available in the post mentioned above.

Nokia xl, problem when starting an offline mix vi...

When I start an offline mix and my phone is already connected via bluetooth, the mix does not start and back to the list.
to hear it via bluetooth, I have to start the mix with the BT disabled, then I can enable it.

How's your day? ;-) Are you still experiencing the mentioned issue with your Nokia XL? Does this happen with all your active calls or only with specific contact numbers? Did you happen to change any settings on your phone or install an app/game that possibly caused such behavior?
Have you tried restarting your phone? Remove the battery, put it back into the phone and then power it on to do that. By the way, where are you located?

Nokia music: mix radio disappeared.

The Nokia music on my lumia920 no longer have options like "mix radio". It was there when I started the phone for the first time, but disappeared after a while. Now I only have "my music" and "settings". I reset the phone several times, but always got the same result. How can I get other options back?

Well, I have searched the internet and found out why. Nokia actually fixed something in Amber update that makes Nokia Music checks your country via the SIM card and thus if your country isn't listed amongst the few where Nokia Music services are available, the mix radio and other features disappear. It's strictly Nokia that implemented it to prevent people from outside regions/countries access to the services. Just remove your SIM card, uninstall Nokia Music and reinstall via WIFI (without SIM in phone) the services will be available once you set your region/country to any of those listed. But immediately you re insert your SIM, the MiX Radio and other features will disappear. No solution cos Nokia has done this intentionally, it's no bug.

Nokia Music - Create a Mix / Personalize not worki...

I have subscribed to Nokia Music + for $3.99 a month to take advantage of the added features etc.
But... when I go to "Create a Mix" and "personalize" then click on "create music profile" it scans my phone, finds about 956 songs... then gives me a message:
Are you connected?
Looks like there's no internet connection.
Check and try again.
Of course I'm connected. I have 5 bars of AT&T LTE, and at home I'm connected to my super fast Xfinity WIFI where I get close to 40Mbps downloads on my phone (according to the Speedtest app).
So.. what gives here?

Nevermind... I figured it all out.
All I had to do was to first download the PC music scanner from http://music.nokia.com/us/en/scanner
Ran that, then all of a sudden my create a mix/personalized music works on my 920!

Nokia MixRadio Offline Mixes

Hey Nokia, I have had nothing but issues with your MixRadio. I have been a registered member for three months, full subscription I pay monthly for unlimited access and offline mixes. I have a Nokia 920 and the latest version of the program. I update my mixes offline...I go to my offline mixes, there are 4 that are bright and I try and play them, there is always "play back error, try another mix" and the other 8 I have available are like shaded/dull, and I try and play them and I just get a reading "current" and they don't play. I have to say I have been scouring your Nokia Support Discussions and I can NEVER see a resolve to this issues of offline. I have even seen your people recommend deleting the app and reinstall (which I have done twice)......so what to do. Do I get the support I need and hope to keep using your services???? When I can't ever access my offline mixes, which are suppose to be offline (I shouldn't need WiFi to access them but even when I do have WiFi to access them, I still can't get to them in "offline mixes") I can go to Mixes, when I have Wifi and play....real time....but I am a runner and traveller...the reason for my subcription was that when I run and travel, I have "offline" mixes but that portion of your program fails all the time...do I keep with MixRadio or do I pay more but get a guarentee with Spotify? I like your consept and prefer Nokia but this is a REAL issue....

Do you have an active unlimited downloads subscription before the update? If so, make sure you are signed in with the same account as you had when activated it. Unlimited downloads subscirptions are only available in India and China.
If you are not in India or China, and therefor do not have an active unlimited downloads subscription, make sure that the Nokia account you are using has the correct country settings in account.nokia.com.

from checking the app myself, yes there is. simply go into My Music (which sources the music you have on your device), and scroll over to Playlists. you can also do the same for music from Nokia Music thru creating your own Mixes both online and offline.

I have purchased my lumia 620, three months ago.i M frm India. When i download or play radio mix or offline music it say" you phone is already registered with Nokia unlimited subscription .". What to do pls help me

I am using lumia 800 and last week its was got hanged automatically. I went to Nokia care centre and they update it for me. After that my Nokia music is not working. It shows Activation Problem and this phone is already registered with us for unlimited subscription. I have already try to do log in n log out but it is still not working.

Nokia Music/Music+ UK Payment Options

I have an N8 running Symbian Anna and I have recently started using this as a replacement for my old Sony MP3 player. I was looking to start using the Nokia Music store or possibly the Music+ option but I have some questions that I do not seem able to find the answer to. Does Music+ allow unlimited downloads for the £3.99 a month fee (there is mention of offline mixes but I'm not sure if this allows me to download tracks and put them on my phone without additional charges)? I tried purchasing individual tracks but I cannot use my phone bill as payment so I tried to save my debit card details in my Nokia account as default payment card but depite being a Visa (one of the options listed) it will not accept the card number, either with or without spaces. I am disappointed I cannot email Nokia support for help and that I have to post on this open forum but that seems to be the way nowadays. Any help would be appreciated but I suspect that a service other than Nokia may be the way I end up going.

You will not get free downloads with your Nokia Music+ subscirption. Offline mixes means you can take the mix radio mixes offline on your Windows Phone and listen to them when you are not online. You will not be able to take the mixes off your phone.
I'm sorry to hear you are having problems using your debit card to pay for tracks. Have you tried to go to account.nokia.com and manage your payment methods from there and then use it in Nokia music?
