Blank page after clicking Edit Page

Have just created a new Contribute connection to a new
website, without any problem. The webpage appears in the Contribute
window, but when I click 'edit page', the window goes blank. Does
anyone have any idea what this could be causing this?

Hi CoopCookie,
You have a couple of errors in your table structure (f.i. an
extra td tag in the class="dataTable" table and the main table is
closed twice from what I could see quickly). I mean there are tags
in the wrong places in your table structure. When you correct this
your page should display fine fine, even in Contribute. Browsers
are more forgiving to errors then Contribute, so that's why the
page probably looks fine on the internet.

Blank page shown after clicking "Edit Page" in Contribute CS3

I set up a site in Dreamweaver CS3 and am trying to configure Contribute to enable users to edit the content. After setting up the site in Contribute, I browse to any page, click the "Edit Page" button and all I see is the background color of the web page and a large blinking cursor in the upper left corner of the screen; the content of the page is nowehere to be found. I have attached an image showing what I see after I click "Edit Page".
The site navigates and renders just fine inside of Contribute, but I am unable to Edit pages.
Is this an issue that someone has seen before? Is there perhaps something in the HTML that is preventing the page from being rendered correctly in Edit mode?

I discovered the problem with the site.
In the template there was an EditableRegion defined around the <body> opening tag:

<body id="research">

Once I replaced this with a TemplateParam for the id attribute of the body tag everything worked just fine.

Would you mind providing more details(screenshot would be better) about your requirement? It would make others easier to find a solution for you.
Suppose that there is a scenario like this: Edit a page, when content grows too large, page will scroll to the bottom of the page. When clicking “Save” button in the
ribbon, by default, page will scroll to the top just like it is first loaded in the browser.
Feel free to reply if this is not what you really mean.

Visual webpart disappears when i click edit page button

I have created a visual webpart for a menu with listpicker, am able to deploy the webpart in a page, select lists using list picker and save the page. But when again when i click edit page button, the webpart disappears. and again if i add the same webpart
in the same page, the name of webpart comes like "Visualwebpart[1]".

Even in wiki Page, you can make sure that it doesn't disappear.
"When you add a web part to a wiki page, save the page BEFORE configuring the web part. If you need to add several web parts, you can add them all and then save. Once the page is saved with the web parts on it, you should be able to configure the web
parts without any issue"

By default, the “CoreInvoke” is defined in
Init.js file which locates in 15 hive.

Assigned To column (or any column that uses People Picker) cleared after clicking Edit Item in a Task List

Our SharePoint Foundation 2013 is experiencing a weird issue. It only happens in Task Lists. For example:
Create a new Task in Task List and fill the Assigned To field with a user from the People Picker list. The People Picker works fine as all users in Active Directory are appearing.
Save Task.
Edit Item the task that was just created.
The Assigned To field is now cleared for that Task.
It used to keep the user that was in the Assigned To column.
Are there any suggestions on what may have caused this or what I can try to fix this?
This was after some Windows updates were installed end of August.

According to your post, my understanding is that the “Assigned To” field is cleared when you edit a task item in the Tasks List.
I recommend that you can enable server rendering on the list view Web Part for the Tasks List to solve this issue.
To do this, please follow the steps as below:
Open the Tasks List in your site, add a new task item, type the user name in the “Assign To” field and save it.
Select the new item, click “Edit item”, then go to the Gear icon, click “Edit page”, click the drop-down arrow in the upper-right corner of the Web Part for the Tasks List, and click “Edit Web Part”.
On the right side of the page in the Web Part properties controls, click the plus sign (+) on the “Miscellaneous” section, select the “Server Render” in the “CSS Render Mode” section, then click “Apply”, “OK” and save the changes of the page.
Then, you can see if the “Assign To” field in the new item’s Edit Form has the corresponding values.

New page unexpectedly loses ability to go BACK to previous page after clicking on a link in page (not consistent), why?

Firefox 4.0 Vista 32 bit
I will have a tab open, and click on a link, new page loads. The Back and Forward buttons do not work. Usually it shows in history (unless I opened too many pages before clicking on link). This has happened several times.
It is not consistent - one time I used search bar and opened a Yahoo search page - clicked on search link and when I wanted to go back to look at another search link from the previous page- page would not load (BACK button dead). I clinked search again, clicked on another link and that time it allowed me to return to the previous page???
I am about ready to go back to previous version.

It's a good idea to try disabling Flash completely and see whether the problem continues. If it does, then my guess is incorrect. To test that, open this tab:

What year, screen size, CPU speed and amount of RAM installed?
How full is your Mac's hard drive?
How many applications do you run simultaneously in the background while working in another application?
Do you run any antivirus software on your Mac? Antivirus software can slow down the normal operation of OS X.
Do you run any "crapware" like Mackeeper or any other type of "crapware" like so called hard drive "cleaning" apps?
Have you downloaded and installed anything from the Internet, recently?
Also, so I cover all of the bases from now on, your iMac's hard may, possibly, be failing.

Web Page Composer - Displaying & Editing pages gives a runtime error

After installing the WPC and placing the initial permission as described in <a href="http://http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/45/f91dd13c7a04aae10000000a114a6b/content.htm">defining permission in the portal content studio</a> end users (with the wpc_editor_role) can nicely create webpages, hence are not allowed to edit these pages (runtime error appears). This though they have onwership rights on the webpage... (The everyone group has "Full control" with end user permission )
By giving them administrator rights the issue is solved and the wpc functions beautifully, but after publishing the page, and taking away the administrator rights they are not allowed to see the page (white screen).
Does anyone have a suggestion to solve this issue...?

Issue solved!
As expected the issue was located in the permission settings.
Perhaps helpfull for you also,I resetted all permission and followed the following steps:
1. Are permissions for the PCD entry point set properly?
That is (if you use the recommendation for placing the iViews in a folder in PCD and provide entry point to it) in corresponding PCD folder, give e.g. read ermission to the 'everyone' group.
Activate the End User indicator.

ADF 10.1.2 - a view page follows by edit page and create page

Hi,
I am trying to maintain a simple ADF application written by other people who left the organization.
The structure of the application is that a view page listing the records of a table has edit and create buttons. Both edit and create functionality are currently implemented using an identical set of uix, UIModel and action.java files.
I want to use different sets of uix, UIModel and action.java for edit and create functionality such that edit and create forms can have different features. I changed structs-config.xml to add a new page for the create form and created forward links to go from the view page to the create page and backward. I created a set of uix, UNModel and action.java files for the create form. When I debug the application, the edit functionality remains the same. I can go from the view page to the create page. But when I click cancel, I get:
Warning: No Method onRollback and no actionBinding Rollback found
Also, the create form also picks up some of the fields of the current record (similar to edit) but none of the choice lists work.
The following extracts from struts-config.xml demonstrate a strange behavoir.

Actually, this is only a very small extract of an existent large application. We currently do not have resource to upgrade it to 10.3, let alone 11g.

Elements 7 reverts back to 'full' edit page, from 'quick' edit page

Hello, first post here. When I have 7 on the 'quick' edit page, and open a photo on my windows page using 'open with', it now reverts back the 'full' edit page. Very frustrating. My Elements 4 doesn't do that. my Elements 7 didn't used to do it. I recently did the Camera Raw 5-6 update, and that's when it started.
How do I go back the making edit page stay where I want it to?

If I understand correctly, this is what's happening with you:
You have the Elements 7 Editor open. It's in the Quick Edit mode.
You have a picture in Windows Explorer, and you are right-clicking on it, selecting Open With, and then picking the Photoshop Elements Editor to open it with.
When the image opens in Elements Editor, it switches to Full Edit mode.
Is that correct?
If so, I cannot reproduce the problem. I tried with Camera Raw version 4.5, and with 5.6, and didn't have any issues. I was trying with JPEG and raw file formats, and there was no change.
Try manually resetting the preferences, and see if perhaps that helps. To do so, rename or move one of the following folders:
Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR USER NAME>\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\7.0
Vista:
C:\Users\<YOUR USER NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\7.0
Then open the Editor, which will re-create the preferences files, and see if that helps.
If that doesn't help, please provide additional information about your computer's configuration as well as a detailed list of the exact steps you are taking when this problem occurs.

Published page different from edit page

I have been using this program for a while and it has
happened many times.. i have tried many ways and usually i have to
just give in to a webpage that is not as aligned as i would like.
When i finish doing changes on the editing page everything looks
great. Aligned and in order. I click publish and then the page that
pops up for my finished product is off... photos that are supposed
to be centered are back to left alignment... some of the boxes end
up looking much larger than they were before.?????
What can i do... is there a update i need.. can someone help
me with this prob.

How to stay on the same page after submitting the Page to commit the row.

I have a page where I am accepting a ket column from the users , Now I want to have to buttons where user can enter one row and click 'Create & Exit' which would them to the menu. But another button would be 'Create' that would create the row in the table would keep user on the same page , so he/she can enter more rows.
My 'Create & Exit' button has settings in 'Actions when Button Clicked'
Action - Submit Page
Execute Validation - Yes
Database Action - SQL INSERT Action.
My 'Create' button has settings in 'Actions when Button Clicked'
Action - Redirect Page in this application
Page - 9 (Same page)
Database Action - SQL INSERT Action
When this didn'tr work
I changed
Set This items - All the variable from the table
With These Values - All the variable from the page
Still this doesn't work.
I very new to APEX application.

Here's an approach:
Delete your existing Create button and then redefine it as a copy of Create & Exit.
Then create two Page Branches, one that branches back to your Menu when the Create & Exit is pressed and another Page Branch that remains on your current page when the Create button is pressed.

Your solution is perfect if the UIX beans on the page do not have BC4J binding with a VO attribute, otherwise, Sumit's soution is appropriate.
