Blank Page Printer Warning

I've been working on a simple one page project this morning where I've had to print a few times and adjust margins. Suddenly, I'm getting the following warning when I try to print:
"The pages selected to print are all blank. If you want to print blank pages, check the 'Print Blank Pages' box in the Print dialog."
Clearly I don't have a blank page and up until a few moments ago I was printing with no issues. I also haven't made one single change to any of the printing dialogue boxes. Anyone have a clue as to why this would suddenly be happening?

Sounds like the file is corrupt unless you've done something really odd. What do you see if you switch to preview mode?
If the file is damaged, you can try moving the pages to a new file, which probably won't work, but copy/paste in place of all page elements probably will. Change the name of the master page in the new doc to something not used in the old one, drage the masters from the old pages panel into the new doc, then do the copy/paste. Import the Basic Paragraph style from the old doc, too.

I have another poblem, and it look like you've solved it already,
the question is
I have only forms server instolled with web db listner (I do
NOT have reports server, so I serve forms and reports both from
forms server operating sysetm WinNT/2000)
I want to show output to my user in HTML STYLE SHEET format as
soon as he/she selects one of the menu items. ( I am calling
reports using run_form)
How can I set my out put as HTML STYLE SHEET ? ( directly in
the borwser at runtime)
I did add the parameter for DesFormat = 'HTMLCSS'
as
add_parameter(pl_id,':DesFORMAT,text_parameter,''HTMLCSS');
but I don't get the out put in style sheet.
I also tried to set up tool----> preferences
and run time values to HTMLCSS !!
BUT,
It is just a plain HTML with data, and no colors or
borders !!

Safari 7.0.6, using Adobe Acrobat 11.0.10, aren't rendering pdf files in the Print Preview screen. Additionally, only a single, blank page prints for a multi-page pdf document. Any ideas?

Figured it out. It had nothing to do with the software levels of Safari or Adobe Acrobat. Here's the fix:
Open Finder/Applications
Search "Internet Plug-Ins"
Move any Adobe plug-ins to the trash
Quit Safari
Launch Safari
Your pdf document should now render in Print Preview and print properly.

Blank Page prints even though "Suppress Printing If No Records" option is thicked.
My environment:
Crystal Report Developer Full version 11.5.11.1470
Windows Server 2003 SP2 32-bit.
We have a third party vendor application written in Java -let's call it "print deamon", but my company doesn't have access to the source code.
The print deamon essentially listens to the core application which is located remotely, receive some print instructions such as label name, printer name, crystal reports version (8.5 or 11) and a few parameters that are passed to the crystal report template.
When the version is Crystal Reports 11 and the template is open and query is executed (using Oracle JDBC) and if the template's query does not retrieve any rows, a blank page still prints even though the option to suppress printing is thicked.
With Crystal Reports 8.5 version, we have no issues.
recycling the blank page is not an option in our high volume print environment, these paper and labels are wasted big time, third party vendor says this is an issue with crystal reports XI api.

It's not relavent now is it? Do what ever works in CR XI.
Also you may want to upgrade to CR XI R2. Go to this link: http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc and download the trial version of CR XI R2 and use your XI keycode, then apply the patches which you can get to by clicking on the BusinessObjects tab above, then Downloads.

Once updated you can then go to the Keycode site and get a XI R2 keycode to enable oll of the features.

Blank page printed every other sheet. Why? help!

Our printer at our doctors office is a HP laserjet 2430tn with dual print capabilities, one for regular printing and one for scripts. Relevant to the scripts, every time a doctors send a prescription to the printer to be printed out, blank pages come printed out in between every printed copy? Why is that and how can i fix this?

Blank page printed every other page

i have a laserjet 2430tn and work at a doctors office. There are two printable options, regular printing and prescription printing. The problem is relevant to the prescription printing only. On our scripts, everytime we print out, a blank page comes out in between every printed page. How to correct?

I keep coming back to this one. Alas, I don't know the answer. I wish I did. If it were just the pages in between in document printing, it would easier to diagnose; the envelopes caper is a bit disconcerting.
Do check the margins in the document. If you are off by a even little bit, the printer will add a page.
If this is Word, try copying the document over to WordPad and making a copy that way.
Envelopes spitting out. ?? You could try resetting the printer..
Reset the printer. Not sure which is the Reset on on this printer (not the expert and I've bee corrected before on this for a couple of the models), Here are two kinds:
1) If there is a keypad, turn it off, then on and press # and 6 (keep pressed while turning on printer).
2) no keypad? Unplug while on, leave unplugged 30 seconds to a minute. Plug back in. (Be careful with this one - don't risk shock.)

2 blank page printing in the check need to stop it

Hi,
Can any one please give the solution to stop printing the second page in the form. When I'm trying to print the check in the development box it is printing the check the but it also printing the second blank page which we dont want.

There are 2 reasons for the second page to appear:
1 - the main window doesn't fit the first page
2 - you have a page-break control comand
If it's the first option, you should verify the height of the MAIN window, and the size of the paragraphs you are writing. Verify if there is empty lines.
If it's the second option, the solution it's very easy ... delete that comand.
If you don't need a second page AT ALL, delete it from smartform (it's a check, so you don't need a second page).

Extra Blank Page Printing When Duplex Printing on HP 8610

Whenever I do duplex printing, before the 1st page of the document prints, a blank page comes out of the printer. The document itself prints okay in 2 sided mode.

Blank pages printing... C309a

Does anyone actually have a solution for the HP printers printing blank pages instead of text? We have a C309a and for some reason it sometimes prints text, other times prints a blank page with the majority of the time it being a blank page. We have followed all instructions still with no luck. Also what is the difference between the 564 & 564XL cartridges?

I understand you're Photosmart C309a is frequently printing blank pages and that you have some questions about the ink cartridges. I will certainly do my best to assist you with this!
I will start by answering your question, what is the difference between the 564 and the 564 XL. Essentially the only difference between the two cartridges is the amount of ink they hold and the number of pages they will print (and obviously the cost). The North American HP Shopping page states that the 564 will print up to 250 pages while the 564 XL cartridge will print up to 550 pages.
For the blank pages, I would suggest following this Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages document and it should be able to help you in getting the ink flowing again.

Blank page prints

Brand new Envy wireless 4500. I reloaded the drivers. When using the various tools of aligning, formatting, check printer the printer works perfectly--smooth quality in both black and color printing. However, when I try to print a document, it will printer only the logo of the form and some formatting w/in the document--the actual body of the form will not print. I cannot print a Word doc or an excel spreedsheet. Page goes through, sounds as if everything is work, but the page is totally blank. Any help is appreciated.

Blank Pages printed

In build 9879 when you try to print from many apps, the pages are BLANK.
This happens from an IE page, mozilla, etc.
In addition, the print spool keeps going offline. You have to manually start it.
Event view shows error

Are you able to reproduce this problem in Apps like Word or Notepad too?
Check your printer driver and make sure it is update.
Report this issue through Feedback App.

Printer prints blank pages

I received a message low toner. Before I replaced the toner the printer printed blank pages. After I replaced the toner, the printer printed for awhile the same day and now prints blank pages. I took out the toner and moved it back and forth and replaced it and still nothing on the paper. Do I need a new printer? Thanks, Sally

Does it print a blank self-test page?
What operating system are you printing from, and what application (if not all apps)?
What driver are you using?

Adobe Reader 9.3.4 intermittently prints or prints blank pages

We are encountering a problem with workstations in our environment where users can occasionally print PDF files successfully but often (more than 50% of the time) nothing prints or 10-20 blank pages print. On the workstation, no error messages appear on screen at any time and no errors related to this issue appear in the Event Log. In the System Tray, the print icon appears and disappears normally. If I watch the print queue, the job passes and appears like it printed successfully and the queue clears. We've also run into a few instances where only a half page prints or half of a page prints (when printing as image) but is shrunken and centered on page.
The users have multiple configurations regarding printers. All have at least one Xerox printer installed and various combinations or HP, Brother and Canon printers for use while off network. The users experience this issue when printing from their workstations to any of these printers. We have tried PS, PCL6 and Universal print drivers for each of the printer to no effect. We have uninstalled Adobe Reader and reinstalled multiple times. We tested using a base 9.0.0, 9.3.3 and after update to 9.3.4 and the same problem existed. We did clear out the folders and any stray registry entries between uninstall/reinstall. We also cleared off all print drivers and reinstalled only one driver just to test and still experienced the problem.
We have tried the "print as image" suggestion and received the same results. We've tried setting the printing preference (Print/Advanced) to Send For Each Page to no effect. We've disabled all advanced features in the print drivers -- same issue.
All of our workstations are on Windows XP SP3. On the machines we're actively troubleshooting this problem on, we have confirmed Windows Updates have been applied through the August 2010 patches. Our environment is fairly vanilla -- WinXP SP3, Office 2003, HP workstations. Problem occurs when printing PDFs from email attachments, from web pages or when saved locally. The problem also occurs on workstations at unrelated business units so it isn't a case where one batch of bad images/installs rolled out. We use direct (IP) printing and not network print servers/queues.
If anyone can provide any assistance, it would be greatly appreciated!!

Blank page sent to my printer..Print Preview shows my page as a .pdf (On Mac OS 10.5.8)

A blank page is sent to the printer. When I view the text page in Print Preview, the page is blank and it is a .pdf. The print feature works fine with other browsers. This suddenly occurred. One minute I was able to print...the next minute blank pages print. I have tried two different printers and both experience the same problem on Firefox. The plug-ins are up to date.

Slow down a bit and think this through.
CUPS on linux is nearly identical to CUPS on OS X - but there is no Mac-to-Mac Apple proprietary print sharing. Rather, on linux you are sharing the printer using standard printing protocols. Just like on the Mac (when using the standard protocols like Windows/SMB or IP printing), linux print queues expect postscript input. Try using a generic postscript driver from the mac.
And when you add the printer via Windows Printing or IP > LPD or IPP, you will need to know the queue name for that printer from the linux box. (one computer with one IP address can have multiple printers - so what's the additional address info to print to your desired printer? - queue name.)
