Im getting blank page on edge inspect , but when i use the same url in safari browser on the same device , the page is displayed, i feel some of the web components are not working in edge inspect. Can yo please help me on thi

It's very unlikely the web components in Edge Inspect aren't working. Can you please provide more details on the issue you're seeing?
What OS version is your computer running?
What version of Chrome are you running?
Are you testing local/private content or a publically accessible URL when this happens?
Do public URLs like http://www.google.com or http://www.yahoo.com show up properly in Edge Inspect on your device?
What is the exact URL you're typing into Chrome?
When you get the blank page in Edge Inspect, click on the button in the upper right corner and select Open in Browser. Does your page appear in the browser? What exactly is in the browser's URL bar?

Funny thing, even this page was loaded and then quickly turned blank for me (I'm writing from Chrome).

The page doctype in not supported

I've ensured that the page doc type is that which is supported, AND that it's the first line of code.
I have the following doctype:-

Yet the error in Internet Explorer (only) persists:-
You cannot edit or duplicate this page.
The page doctype in not supported
Contact your web developer
I have also tried

The page does not contain framesets.
This error does not occur in Firefox nor Safari however my client has only Internet Explorer available so this represents quite a pain in the proverbial for both my client and for me.
Can someone please explain how to resolve ?

I am having this problem, too. My header file has the doctype:

This wasn't a problem a couple of months ago. Everything was working fine. I use this for a small, very poor school and the teachers are hoping to get another school year out of it. I really don't want to switch from ICE to something else until I have no other option. The web site is www.saintjohncatholicsc.org.

The GO To Page action is not supported in PDF

My name is Vinicius, and I need to create an interactive PDF file, with only one navigation between pages through links within the PDF file.
I created the buttons and used the "GO TO PAGE" tool located inside the BUTTONS tab to navigate between pages.
Inside the PREVIEW tool, I can see it normally, with all my needs within the file working properly.
But when I click EXPORT> EXPORT INTERACTIVE it generates an error, writing:
"The GO To Page action is not supported in PDF. The Button appearance will be preserved, but its interactivity will be droped. "
In some tutorials everything works normally, but I don`t know why it is happening on my problem.
Somebody help me please, I need it working as soon as possible.

The error message is correct. The Go to Page command can only be used in SWF or the (future) liquid HTML5. It's not part of PDF. You can create destinations to go to particular pages. You can create hyperlinks.
You need to re-think the way you're doing your layout.

IPad (v8.1.3) prints blank pages in some Notes files

In the Notes app of my iPad (8.1.3) using AirPrint it sometimes prints nothing but blank pages. Some Notes files will print, however, but others will not. Also, If I copy text from a Notes file that prints only blank paper to a file that was able ti print text (as it is supposed to) the file is suddenly infected by whatever, stops printing text and prints only blank pages. How can I reliably print out all of my Notes files?

I came here for the same problem that the one described here (Preview won't display some pdf documents). But, as it was mentionned, Acrobat is able to show them. Tried the anti-aliased option, no luck there either. However, I noticed that the document not handled by Preview are reproductions, copies, pictures of documents. For example, I work with scholar articles. The problematic documents are not pdf saved directly, let's say, from Distiller or Word. They seem to be scanned documents, and each page of the pdf is actually a big picture. Could it be that Preview is not strong enough to handled this kind of doc?
By the way, a Preview discussion folder would be nice...

Navigation to a UI Component not supported

Hi experts,
I'm using Case Management. I've done all necessary customizing.
I'm using a record model that includes CRM BOR objects and non CRM BOR objects like INSTLN, BUS2032, BUS2080, INSTMNTPLN, etc.
Everything works fine in SCASE transaction. But I have some trouble in IC WebClient 2007:
- Documents, Business Partners and all CRM BOR objects works fine (display and navigation into IC Web screens)
- Non CRM BOR objects can be displayed but when clicking the link in the record hierarchy I get the following error:
"You have selected a process type that requires navigation to a UI component that is not supported within the current UI profile"
I've done the following customizing but it's not working yet:
- Organizational Chart (PPOMA_CRM) ->position->menu GOTO->detail object->enhanced object description. I have assign the Business Role and the IC Web Client Profile (including several functions profiles)
- SPRO -> CRM -> Interaction Center WebClient 2005 ->Basic Functions -> Define Activity Clipboard Profiles
- SPRO -> CRM -> Case Management -> Extended Customizing -> Special Settings -> Define Processes-> Define Process-Dependent Parameters -> Assign Element Types and Business Object Types to a Process. I've made new entries copying standard ones and using new Types X1, X2, X3, etc.
The idea is to navigate into the backend transaction displaying the content of the ISU instalation, the ERP Sales Order, the ISU Service Notification, the Installment Plan, etc...
Any suggestions?

I added a custom object (Service Order in R3) BUS2088 to the Case Management record structure. In SCASE we can add the service order and when double clicking, we are transferred to the order in the R3 system.
Now in the WEB UI we also see our service order number in the tree structure, but it is not a link. So we cannot display the order from the WEB UI.
I created a transaction launcher for BOR object BUS2088, but that wasn't enough. Can you explain me how you got the custom objects in Case Management as a link? Did you make some extra settings or something?

"Fast Web View" not supported in Acrobat X plug-in for FireFox/Chrome

The Acrobat X plug-in for displaying PDFs in FireFox/Chrome does NOT support fast web view. This means that PDFs don't display until after the entire file has been download.
For example, try viewing this document in either IE(Windows) or Safari(Mac):

Notice how it opens very quickly, and then you can scroll around and view all the content as the PDF content strreams in? In Safari you can see the download progress like you used to be able to see in all versions of the acrobat plug-in. Note also that in the IE version, although fast web view is working, you cannot see the download progress like you used to be able to... Thats an issue, but not nearly as bad as the real issue...
Now try clicking the same link in either FireFox or Chrome (note that in Chrome you need to be sure that Chrome's PDF viewer is turned off and the acrobat plug-in is enabled). Note that the PDF is not displayed until the entire file is downloaded.
This feature is VITAL for viewing large documents online. I'm astonished that this has not been reported by other users.
Adobe -- PLEASE be sure that this gets fixed in the next update to Reader X!! I was shocked to see that it was not fixed in 10.1.

WHY would you want to disable this? Linearized "Fast Web View" enabled PDF are the right and proper type of document to be created.

Opening a Word Document in Pages - floating objects not supported

I am trying to open a Word document in pages. It is a table of labels with artwork and text. Pages tells me that floating objects inside cells are not supported and were deleted. I've tried making them inline with text in the original document and then opening in Pages, but then I can't make them floating again. Anyone know how to do this? I really don't want to have to buy a Microsoft product!

Page layout does not support "&auml".

Hello. I used design manager to create a page layout (SharePoint 365). No matter what I am not able to fiqure out how to create characters like "&auml".
Can someone confirm that SharePoint 2013 does not support non-English language page layouts. Users will be happy to know they cannot see pagelayout content written in their own language.
Am I doing something wrong?
Edit: Something stupid like this work but obviously this won't
be my solution.

Oracle BAM Web Applications not supported by Firefox and Chrome browsers

1) To enable Oracle BAM in a BPM project, when a project data object is marked as a business indicator, the Process Engine stores
its value in the BAM and DataMart databases, as explained in the documentation. So, How can we use this information to monitor the process activity? Is there any detailed documentation or a sample?
2) Does Oracle BAM Web Applications still not supported by the browsers Firefox (3.5 and 3.6) and Google Chrome?

The business indicators can be used when creating your data objects in BAM Architect and BAM Active Studio.
The BAM tools still require Internet Explorer only.

When I open a new internet "tab", only a blank page comes up, not my saved "home page"

Running a Mac, had a new hard drive installed, reloaded Firefox, etc....
When I open a new tab for a new internet page, my home page does not open, I only get a blank page "untitled". I never had this issue with the other HD in the Mac. All updates are current

Blank page opens and not able to log off

Hi All,
I am using MSS. There are 2 issues.
1) One of my user has received a task in UWL. When he tries to open that he is getting a blank page. In R/3 the structure and all the things are fine.
2) Also when he clicks the log off button dialogue box prompts to select yes or no , he gave YES but still it not getting logged off.
I tried deleting cookies , temporary files and turned compatibility settings on to " "Display all websites in Compatibility View" but of no use.
Please suggest on this.

Might be some problem with browser, try accessing with the compatible browser and then check it. check the browser compability in service market place PAM. http://service.sap.com/pam
Also check the default trace log file and search for the userid

I'm playing Cityville on Facebook....since I updated my Firefox I am having a problem. It keeps popping up with a 'about blank' page, and will not let me play, send gifts or anything else.

when I try to send gifts, a popup window "about blank' shows up, and then it doesn't show my friends or anything else. I am having a hard time loading cityville, and am virtually unable to play the game.

Also I copied this from my other computer web page:

So this is what I was talking about, and the small popup window plus the larger Window stating "Reported Phishing website ahead" will not go away and I cannot use Safari anymore even after I shut down my computer, disconnected it, and then signed on again and reopened Safari, it still takes me to that page and I cannot get out of it.

Netbeans 5.5 Visual Web still not support for Java 5 source in Web Project?

This is really annoying. I would have thought by now that this would be allowed.

I just converted a project this morning. It wasn't too difficult, it just took a little bit of time getting everything correct. There are a few more changes needed then just the imports. I used a program called rpl (available on windows and unix) to do the find and replacing that was needed. You could easily use sed or some other program to do the same thing.
Basically, here are the steps.
1. Create a new EE 5 project and make sure it has the same name and default java package.
2. Copy your existing .jsp files to the new web dir and existing .java files to the src directory.
3. Here are the changes I made to the .jsp files:

5. You might have to make more changes then this, but this is all I had to do. If you get errors, it is just a matter of figuring out where the error is and then creating a similar action on a new page and looking to see what the correct format is.
5. Look at your old web/WEB-INF/managed-beans.xml and copy everything between <faces-config> and </faces-config> to the new managed-beans.xml
6. Look at your old web/WEB-INF/navigation.xml and copy everything between <faces-config> and </faces-config> to the new navigation.xml
7. Look at your old web/WEB-INF/faces-config.xml and copy and changes you might have made to your new faces-config.xml
8. Look at your old web/WEB-INF/web.xml and copy and changes you might have made to your new web.xml
9. Look at your old web/WEB-INF/sun-web.xml and copy and changes you might have made to your new sun-web.xml
10. Have fun getting your database to work correctly. I have had difficulty getting datasources correct on both old and new projects in VWP, so this could be difficult or easy depending on your database and what you are trying to do. If you are using something like Java DB then you are probably going to have a much easier time then trying to use a third-party JDBC like I was trying to do (MS SQL 2005 JDBC 1.1).
