Blank pages on website only when uploaded to file manager

Hi!
I am re-doing a website and am in process of uploading new content. I deleted the index page on the FTP and replaced it with a new index page and the images to go with it. When I go online to the domain, the home page appears quickly - great! - except that three out of four images are missing. I have tried deleting the image files on the FTP and uploading them again, but still no success. Any idea what I've done wrong?
The second problem is that although the index page works, the links are active etc., the pages they lead to are blank. No error messages or anything shows, and the pages load as if they were intended to be blank. I built the site in Adobe Dreamweaver, and when the pages are opened from my computer in Dreamweaver they are full of code and look fine. I have tried searching google and Adobe's help topics for advice, but nothing seems to describe the right symptoms! Do you have any suggestions for the changes I need to make so that the site works correctly?
I'm not sure if these two issues are connected. I've tried relabelling one of the blank pages as the index page but it still loads blank, so I'm guessing that the fault is with the page and not the links to it. The domain is www.charlotte-stockdale.co.uk if that helps.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but it looks like a misconfigured web server. For example, if you browse to http://www.charlotte-stockdale.co.uk/side_frame.jpg it just returns the url text. I've never seen that before. I would contact your host and see if they can check the server config.

Hi,
I have a strange problem that occurs when im uploading large files to any of my servers....
The files upload just fine but while im uploading im unable to use the internet for anything else. For example if I try to open a web page I get an error saying im not connected to the internet. This error will persist until the file finishes uploading.
Its a strange and annoying problem and was wondering if anybody could throw any light on the problem.
I cant be sure but it may have coincided with me connecting a new Netgear wireless modem router.

Code doesn't update when uploading new files to website.

code doesn't update when uploading new files to website. I was using an old DW version for a long time then forced to upgrade when I bought my MacBook Pro. Now when I make changes to my pages and link to new files etc on my harddrive, when i upload the pages it won't image because the code still points to harddrive (this did not used to be a problem)... I manually changed the code on the web host site to point to the site and it loaded fine. But now my files on my harddrive also point to the web host files and now don't image on my computer. I never had to worry about this so far and wonder if the new version has a setting I'm supposed to be aware of so that I can design on my hardrive and upload and it knows that the files are being uploaded with it? Ugh hpe this makes sense - I'm NOT a webs designer and the new DW is way more than I use in it's technology.

My report is developed in the Crystal Reports 2008 Report Designer 12.0.0.683.
I have a .NET application that takes the report file, an ODBC connection and exports the resulting report to PDF. This application is deployed as an MSI and includes the Crystal Reports .msm merge module. The report uses multiple views and tables from a single database to create invoices in PDF format.
Problem: For one particular invoice, a blank page is being added to the end of the invoice. This blank page contains the report's standard page header. There is no missing data and no missing sections on the invoice. This is only occurring when the pdf is generated on a Windows Server 2008 x64 server where the application is deployed using the merge modules.
I have installed the application locally on my Windows Vista Business x86 system and the generated PDF does NOT contain the blank page at the end.
The blank page is not generated when previewing the report in Report Designer. For the particular invoice this is occurring on, footer F and footer G are blank and therefore suppressed.
Please bear in mind that this happens only for one particular invoice that uses this report file and does not happen from my local system using the same .rpt file.
The report is constructed of the following sections:
-Page Header (suppressed on page 1)
-Grp1 header A (watermark conditionally suppressed based upon a parameter)
-Grp1 header B (Keep together - always fits onto a single page)
-Details
-Grp1 footer A (Keep together)
-Grp1 footer B (Conditionally suppressed based upon data)
-Grp1 footer C (Keep together)
-Grp1 footer D (Contains sub report(suppressed when blank). Keep together. Suppress blank section. New page before but (Not OnLastRecord))
-Grp1 footer E (Contains sub report(suppressed when blank). Keep together. Suppress blank section.)
-Grp1 footer F (Contains sub report(suppressed when blank). Keep together. Suppress blank section.)
-Grp1 footer G (Contains sub report(suppressed when blank). Keep together. Suppress blank section.)
-Report footer (Always blank. Suppress blank section)

Is the same runtime installed on the 64 bit system? I notice from your version number that you do not have any service packs installed on the dev system. SP 2 is out and may help.
I have installed SP1 and SP2 this morning, resaved the report file and tried again but the same problem remains.
I'm not sure how to answer your runtime question. I am using the same application built with the same merge modules on both the dev machine and the production server. Of course, the dev machine has the additional complication of having Crystal Reports 2008 installed. Perhaps this is causing the difference?
Compare the printer settings between the two systems. Try installing the same printer driver on the 64 bit system.
Perhaps I am misinterpreting your suggestion, but I am not printing the invoices. I am only exporting them to PDF. It is the PDF that has the extra page. Is there a 'print to PDF' driver of some sort that I need?
Also, was the .NET application compiled as 32 bit, or Any CPU? Whichever it was, try switching it then recompiling to see if that helps.
I tried switching to Any CPU but this caused the Crystal Reports module not to load at all on the 64bit Windows server.
Thank you for your suggestions, but my problem remains. Is it worth trying with the redistributable msi rather than using the merge modules? If so, could you recommend which one I should use? I am using Visual Studio 2008 Professional.

You are attempting to download the picture to your computer not uploading photo to the website if I am understanding you correctly.
To change the download direction, you must do so through your browser's Preferences. If you are using Safari, hopefully, someone who uses Safari will help you and/or post over in their forums. I do not use Safari.

That's still a little ambiguous. What recording software are you using?
Usually the individual sound files in a music project file are included in a separate folder. For example, GarageBand normally hides these files inside a single Project file in the Finder, but you can right-click and Show Package Contents to see the individual audio files.
Any of those backup utilities I mentioned will be smart enough to copy the new and changed files within the project file. In the Terminal these .band files are actually directories, just like .app Applications in the Finder are actually directories. I think Finder may actually handle it properly also, but I'm not really sure what the Finder will do when you re-copy a GarageBand project folder to an existing backup copy and only some of the audio files have changed.

Firefox 4 will load website but opens blank pages within website

I have used Firefox for years, updated from 3.6 to 4 and never had any problems. Recently in 3.6 and 4 I load my local medical centre website (no problem) then when I click on any link I just get a blank page. These pages always open in IE. I have emptied the cache and refreshed the pages but all I get is blank pages.

Do you have firefox filter installed? I find that with my problem I disabled firefox filter from my add ons & found that the web page I have trouble viewing (which is verizon wireless) will load correctly. Or maybe is another add on you may have installed. Test them out. For now I switched back to firefox 3.6 because I dont experience that problem with 3.6. I hope they can correct it, I would like to use firefox 4 again soon.

All of a sudden I can't print anything on my macbook. I am directly connected to a printer where i had printed before now if I hit print it just gives me blank pages with websites header? any ideas what went wrong?

Welcome to the Support Communities!
The first thing I would suggest is to shut down your computer and turn off your printer. Then do the reverse -- turn the printer on first, then your computer. If the issue still persists:
Check to make sure there are no jobs waiting to be printed. (Apple Menu > System Preferences > Printers & Scanners)

I removed Yahoo Search and in Tools Option I changed it to Blank Page at Startup but When I reboot my computer I get YAHOO as my StartUp page in Firefox even though Options still says Blank Page.

I added Yahoo Search when I installed a program, but later removed it from Firefox Add-ons, but it still comes up as my Firefox start Page even though Tools Options states that I want a Blank Start Page.
When I go to Tools Options and change nothing (since it still reads Blank Page) and press OK, the blank page works every time I load Firefox until I reboot my computer and then Firefox is back.

Error: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError when uploading CSV files to web server

I have made a JSP page from which clients load csv files to web server. I am using Tomca 4.1 as my web server and JDK 1.3.1_09.
The system works fine when uploadiing small csv files, but it crashes when uploading large CSV files.

I know it may be hard to throw away all this code, but consider using the jakarta fileupload component.
I think it would simplify your code down to

Check it out. It will solve your memory problem by writing the file to disk temporarily if necessary.

SystemManager.as : 'should never get here' when uploading multiple files

I have a code for uploading multiple files. The code works so that when complete event from the first upload is received, the second upload is started. The code works fine on Flash Player 9, but now when I changed my compiler settings to require version 10, the program no longer works.
Also this only seems to occur when I execute the code from the Flash Builder. I have compiled the code with ant requiring FP version 10. This swf is bundled inside a war and can executed without any problems. I actually set the ant compiler to require FP 10 some time ago already.
I get error 2174, which is for trying to upload multiple files at the same time. Although, I don't understand why I get this, since the uploads should not be done simultaneously as I explained above.
The interesting thing here is when I try to debug it. At some point when stepping in the code, I get the following error thrown. It's thrown by the code pasted at the end. Interesting is the else block that throws the error, the comment says 'should never get here'.
A bug in the framework or in Flex Builder?
Using IE 8 with FP 10.0.32.18 (on Win XP if that matters).

In both cases the URL is http. The only difference is that in one case everything is on server inside a war running on Tomcat to which I make connection via browser. In the other case the server side stuff is running on local computer on Tomcat and the Flex code is not bundled inside the war.
In both cases the URL is in form of http://... When running locally, the URL is http://localhost:8080/myAppName. I don't know how the network card driver translates this URL, but what you said might have something to do with it.

A blob is able to hold files with gigabyte size, a simple 460k file should not cause this JDBC error. I had a test with a 127k file, too, same error (different file types tested: html, doc, pdf, ...). Is this a problem of the driver or is there anythig I am doing wrong?

The zip is a standalone Java application that will create any needed tables, populate them with example data (both LOBs and CLOBs) from the data files in the zip and then put up a Swing gui that will allow you to add additional LOB and CLOB data to the table. Everything is there, the readme explains the 2 properties files you need to edit. The only other thing besides reading comprehension that you need to supply is DB connection information with the necessary privileges.
The Source link is a link to the main code, but does not include all the code in the package. However, it contains the code to write CLOBs and BLOBs into the database.
The Readme explains everything. It also has code excerpts, including the code used to read the sample data from file and write it into the LOBs and CLOBs.

Website not displaying what i uploaded through File Manager on hosting service.

I use a non-Adobe hosting service. I uploaded the files using this company's file manager. The text and images do not stay where I put them on the page. It looks fine in preview mode and at http://testtheshroudorg.businesscatalyst.com/the-shroud.html, but not on www.testtheshroud.org. After uploading the page, the text gets on top of each other and garbled when I display them. I'm using a Windows Vista PC
I saw a similar post from August that says I should delete the file off the server and then upload again. This did not fix it. How do I fix this?
