    No
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours.

  • Henry dropped the Ipod touch and cracked the screen.  How can I get this fixed.

    Hi,
Henry dropped his Ipod touch and cracked the screen and put in a passcode and now has forgotten his passcode.  Need to know how I can get the screen fixed and or if it is covered on the 1 year warranty?  How can I unlock the Ipod without the passcode?
Any info would be greatly helpful!

Take to an Apple retailer. Such damage is not covered by your warranty.
A Complete Guide to Recover Your iDevice if You Forget Your Passcode
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.
Try restoring the iOS device if backing up and erasing all content and settings doesn't resolve the issue. Using iTunes to restore iOS devices is part of standard isolation troubleshooting. Restoring your device will delete all data and content, including songs, videos, contacts, photos, and calendar information, and will restore all settings to their factory condition.
Before restoring your iOS device, Apple recommends that you either sync with iTunes to transfer any purchases you have made, or back up new data (data acquired after your last sync). If you have movie rentals on the device, see iTunes Store movie rental usage rights in the United States before restoring.
Follow these steps to restore your device:
Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
Connect your device to your computer.
Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
    Select the Summary tab.
    Select the Restore option.
When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not necessary to create another.
Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up, you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).
When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple logo while starting up:
After a restore, the iOS device displays the "Connect to iTunes" screen. For updating to iOS 5 or later, follow the steps in the iOS Setup Assistant. For earlier versions of iOS, keep your device connected until the "Connect to iTunes" screen goes away or you see "iPhone is activated."
The final step is to restore your device from a previous backup.
If you can not restore your device then you will need to go to recovery mode.
Placing your device into recovery mode:
Follow these steps to place your iOS device into recovery mode. If your iOS device is already in recovery mode, you can proceed immediately to step 6.
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons.
While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on. Note: If you see the screen pictured below, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears you can release the Home button:
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the following "recovery mode" alert:
Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you don't see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
    Additional Information:
Note: When using recovery mode, you can only restore the device. All user content on the device will be erased, but if you had previously synced with iTunes on this computer, you can restore from a previous backup. See this article for more information.

  • HT4993 I have apple care and was wondering what I have to do to get a new phone  since I drop and cracked my screen on this phone? When I go into the store what do I have to bring with me?

I have the AppleCare and was wondering what i have do to get a new phone since I drop and cracked the screen on this phone.  What do I have to bring the store when I go in?
    Thanks

If you have AppleCare+, for the $49 filing fee, you can use one of your two allowed accidental damage claims.  You must turn in an intact iPhone to be eligible (it can, of course be damaged, but all the parts need to be there).
Otherwise, nothing in Apple's warranty covers accidental damage.  The accidental damage claim is a special insurance rider only with AppleCare+, allowing two claims, with the associated fee each time.
All you need is the broken phone - they will pull everything else they need off their system from the serial number and your info.

So i have a white iphone and cracked the screen back in July. They had no more white screens in stock so they put on a black screen. would that by any chance avoid the warrenty

Who put a screen on it?
I would say the warranty is void.

  • If you jailbreak your ipod touch and crack the screen will the warrenty still work? Also, would the warrenty fix the screen?

If you jailbreak your ipod touch and crack the screen will the warrenty still work? Also, would the warrenty fix the screen? Would it cost money? Its a 5th gen.

Once you jail break Apple won't help with the machine. I'm not even sure if they'll honor an 'out of warranty' replacement.
Accidental damage, which is what a broken screen is, starts at $149 US

  • Warranty?  I went to apple for a piece of dust in my screen told me I could replace it made and appointment on 1/4/14 for 1/5/14 and couldn't get there and accidentally dropped it and cracked the screen will they still replace it?

Warranty?  I went to apple for a piece of dust in my screen told me I could replace it. Decided to wait till after New Years. made an appointment on 1/4/14 for 1/5/14 and couldn't get there and accidentally dropped it and cracked the screen. will they still replace it?

I know that they don't cover accidents but I went in on the Sunday before Christmas and they said I could get a replacement but I decided to wait so I could back up my iPad and now I've made 3 appointments and haven't vote to either of them and it just happened today on the 5th the day of my appointment but again couldn't make it and they replaced my iPod tough in 2011 for water damage unless they changed their warranty but thank you guys for answering :)

  • I have an iphone 5s and cracked the screen.

I have an iphone 5s and cracked the screen this morning. Every person I called is charging $260 and apple is also charging $269. I was wondering if there were any other options? I also heard of an exchange that apple offers! Apparently, if you pay a certain fee and give in your iphone, you get a new iphone. Any additional information? If you guys could leave some cheaper options I can use through apple that'd be amazing!

  • My 2014 Macbook Pro's charger is not secure. It flicked out while closing the laptop and cracked the screen, is this something apple will repair as its the chargers fault?

    I have a 2014 15" Retina display Macbook Pro.
Moving on from my 13" 2012 Macbook Pro the charger on the 2014 model isn't as good and keeps flicking out, and not staying in place.
Unfortunately it flicked out on its own at the wrong point, when I was closing the screen. This resulted in the screen cracking!! Because this is a fault with the Macbook's charger that has cracked my screen, will apple cover it and replace my screen?
If not does anyone know how much screen replacements cost at apple?
I have applecare but screen damage does not cover it.
    Thanks guys!

There's no one from Apple here, so we can't advise you on what it would cost to replace the screen. You should just take the machine into your local Apple Store or an AASP (making an appointment first) and get and estimate for replacement.
I doubt that Apple will fix the screen gratis - they will likely pin it down to a user accident. If you can actually demonstrate that it's the fault of the adapter, you may get a break.
    Good luck,

  • I got my replacement phone a month ago and cracked the screen can i get it replaced

i just got my phone replaced last month and i cracked the screen, and i have apple care . can i get my replacement phone replaced for free?

If you have AppleCare+ you can get an out-of-warranty replacement for $69 or 79...if you have regular AppleCare the replacement will be $149 for an iPhone 4.

  • My daughter dropped her iPod Touch and cracked her screen...do the Apply Stores repair this and for how much?

My daughter dropped her iPod Touch on cement and shattered the screen.  It still works, but I am afraid it won't for long.  I do not want to attempt a repair myself...does the Apply Store do this type of replacement/repair and for how much?  I spent over $300 on this thing and I'm not buying another one.  Thanks.

The home owner's policy may so give it a shoot.
The apple warranty which only covers material defects does not cover abuse which is what Apple will classiy dropping it as.

  • I got my ipod touch (4th generation) on March 20,2012, and it fell out of my pocket and cracked the screen. I would like to know how much it costs to get it repaired and how much insurance costs. Thank you for your time.

I got my ipod touch (4th generation) on March 20, 2012, and it fell out of my pocket when I jumped. Unfortunantly, the screen cracked very badly, and it has become a hazard, not only for the many cuts I have gotton on my fingers from the ipod screen's broken glass, but for what I type (because the screen is cracked so badly, I cannot see what I am doing). The ipod has become pointless to own in its condition. I would like to know how much the repair would be, where the best place to get it done is located, and how much future insurance would cost in the United States. Thank you for you time.

    See "Repair Pricing."
No clue where you can purchase insurance but it's probably not worth the price.

  • If i dropped my iPod and cracked the screen...

will I be able to get a new iPod if i'm, under warrantee?

Thank you for being honest about the situation, but unfortunately accidental damage is not cover under Apple's Warranty.
Some credit card companies offer automatic accidental damage coverage to electronics so you may want to check with them. There are also 3rd party iPod repair depots and site where you can either send the unit or order replacement parts.

  • If I cracked the screen on my 5s and it's still under 1 year warranty, can I get a free replacement?

Hey. I dropped my phone yesterday and cracked the screen. There's also a huge chunk missing. I've had my 5s for about 10 months and I was wondering if I could get it replaced under the warranty for free by going to an Apple store?
If it helps, it has also been experiencing some minor software issues, like shutting down randomly for a couple seconds at a time as well. Those issues have been manageable. I just want to know my options before I spend a ton of money on a replacement phone when I could have avoided it.

Only if you purchased the extended Apple warranty. Otherwise, it will be treated as user negligence which voids the warranty.
If your iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad is Broken
Apple does not fix iDevices. Instead, they exchange yours for a refurbished or new replacement depending upon the age of your device and refurbished inventories. On rare occasions when there are no longer refurbished units for your older model, they may replace it with the next newer model.
ATTN: Beginning July 2013 Apple Stores are now equipped to do screen repairs/replacements in-house on iPhone 5 and 5C. In some cases while you wait. According to Apple this is the beginning of equipping Apple Stores with the resources needed to do most repairs for iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches that would not require major replacements. Later in the year the services may be extended as Apple Stores become equipped and staffed with the proper repair expertise. So, if you need a screen repaired or a broken screen replaced or have your stuck Home button fixed, call your local Apple Store to see if they are now doing these in-house.
You may take your device to an Apple retailer for help or you may call Customer Service and arrange to send your device to Apple:
