Blank screen, can still hear the sound though.

Hey everyone, i took great care of my ipod which i got a while back, after another one had water spilled all over it and died. anyways i went to go listen to my ipod and had a blank screen all of a sudden as if it was really low on battery or something, but i could still hear the music. I checked my serial number and plugged it in on the website, and it said that i am not under warranty. any suggestions? or answers? thanks a lot !

Are you saying that your iPad's screen is black even though you can hear Siri when you activate her? Then ...
first try a reset:
Hold both the Home button and the Power button down for 10+ seconds until the Apple logo appears. Let go promptly when it appears, wait 30+ seconds for your iPad to restart. No information or settings will be lost.
Now try giving your iPad a friendly thump on the back.
Place the iPad face down on a bed or your knee and try gently hit it right on the Apple logo on the back of your iPad. If that doesn't work try thumping it in various places on the back including the corners, and with increasing intensity.

The clip is intact and it has video and audio.
I have worked on it before and all was fine until I lost the work when it got frozen!
The issue is:
I have a (MOV.) ready clip that I wanted to edit a bit, hence I have imported the clip (import media) and whenever I try to work on it, the black screen prohibits me from doing anything.
Any ideas please ... It's really strange !

I just updated my Firefox, and now whenever I use Youtube, I only see black screens where the video should be, but I can still hear the sounds; what gives?

The Youtube pages load as normal, but as stated above, the player contains only a black screen, and the progress bar moves as usual when playing the clip, but I can only hear, and not see, the actual video.

Yes, just made sure of that. I do have the latest version of Flash player. But I have just staggered upon the answer. Chalk it up to being a newbi. I was not putting my apple tv to sleep and it would not allow me to see
you tube on my computer while it was still operating on my TV. When I realized that, I put the apple tv to sleep and bingo, my computer runs you tube fine. Thanks again for your response.

I've done system restore.
I've done disable screen curtain while VoiceOver is enabled, you can three finger triple tap the screen to disable this feature. You may need to press the home button once in order to process these steps.

Missing in this equation were the version of Premiere Elements that you were using and the computer operating system on which it was running. But...
The deed is done. But.....Until now and after you went ahead and moved to version 12, we now learn what version of Premiere Elements you were using. We still do not know the computer operating system involved.
You just said Premiere Elements 10. Premiere Elements 10 is hit by a serious known display issue if the computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card/graphics card. In this issue, the only remedy is to roll back the driver version to about May 2013. The description of the problem and how to do the roll back are described in one of the Announcements at the top of this forum. What video card/graphics card does your computer use?
On another front, Adobe will be releasing a new version of Premiere Elements any day now. No one but Adobe knows the feature set for the new version. That type of information is announced at the moment of release of the new version.
So the remedy to the problem that you presented in this thread could have been...
1. Rolling back the NVIDIA GeForce driver version to about May 2013 if possible (Windows 8 or 8.1 64 bit, may not be possible)
2. Move to another version of Premiere Elements (which you did)
I offer the above for consideration so that you can review your decisions. We are pleased to learn that Premiere Elements 12/12.1 works for you.

Try restoring the iPod. First from backup and if problem persists, restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If you still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

Hi there, im also having this problem, i tried running most of the games on my system, and some that are considered "high end" games, are giving me the exact same problem, but other games are running and im able to message fine, i also got some friends to send me messages, and i can recieve messages perfectly, also i noticed moving the actual window around on the screen or just closing down skype also lags. I have 16GB of ram and 4.4Ghz Octa-Core CPU, i checked my load while on the high end games and it there was more than enough hardware usage left like normal for skype to run, and skype wasnt taking any extra up than before. I also checked by bandwidth and i was having no problems with that as skype would lag even on offline games.
I have tried re-installing under a different directory and still the same problem persists, this has only been a problem within the last 24hrs and i haven't installed any other programs that could affect this at the moment.
*UPDATE* I tried downgrading to an older version of skype, 6.3.0.107. Problem Still persists

Just guessing here, but dropping your phone is probably the reason your screen or backlight doesn't work.
Only solution I see is to take it to Apple and buy and out of warranty iphone 4.

Sorry you are having problems. First of all try Fifrefox's safemode.

If that works post back for further advice.
Next step, if safe mode did not work.
First: Try a clean install, (you have had a none standard version installed previously) that involves deleting the program files. Then if necessary try troubleshooting by creating and using a clean empty Firefox profile.

When in doubt, reboot! ;-)
Most glitches can be solved this way.
Press and hold both the Power switch and center button for at least 15 seconds. This will restart the device.
