Blank Screen- Can't find answer to fix it.
I went to listen to my ipod the other day and when it started up, it had a blank screen. I tried to restart it, but when it came back up for the second time, now the screen is two toned. One half is white, the other grey. Plus the Apple logo no longer appears. I've tried plugging it into my computer, the computer reads the ipod. I've tried retoring the defaults, the screen is still blank. I can't find anything on the Apple.com site. Has anyone had this happen and how do I fix it?
Try and force the iPhone into Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

Windows 8 Recovery USB causes UEFI error: "Grub error: Can't find gpt 7" [FIXED]
Hello everyone,
Here is my situation. I had a dual boot setup on my toshiba S855D (Win 8/Ubuntu 12.10). After a few months my win 8 install was giving me strange errors. I decided to do a full reinstall using the recovery USB I made. (I had reinstalled once before) When I plugged in my USB after restarting the computer (in USB as first boot), I got the error: 'Grub error. Can't find gpt 7' If I tuned off UEFI, the computer could at least detect the USB but not do a reinstall. Thinking it was a Grub error I formatted the HD (using an ubuntu liveUSB). The problem persisted. I installed boot-repair on ubuntu and tried that, but no effect. I have tried to install an updated bios from the CD image in the bios zip, but it wouldn't execute the commands in the ini file. I even tried to install an old xp disk I had to see if I could install the bios update that way, but the windows install repeatedly froze.
Quick version: dual boot (win8/ubuntu)->try to reinstall win8, "error: Grub Error: Can't find gpt 7", when usb is attempted to be booted from. ->Wiped hdd, but problem persisted. -> tried many ways to fix, but nothing works.
I have been reading many forums for the past few days, and nothing looks to work. Any and all help would be really helpful.

Go to Solution.I finally got it!
After much poking around the internet, I was finally able to identify my problem. My bootx64.efi in the EFI/Boot folder wasn't working. I found this out by putting UEFI shell on another usb and using that to test my *.uefi files. Thankfully, I had a backup of my EFI folder from my initial Ubuntu install. This had a backup made my ubuntu. (bkpbootx64.uefi) I ran the backup and the USB worked!
On another forum someone (Agent268) said this, which may help. I'm guessing you need to have a windows pe DVD/USB to make this work though.
"You should be able to use DISM to manually reimage this bad boy using the WIM or SWMs on that USB recovery flash drive."

The display HERE seems okay - But trying to view Asiaxpat,com - the words are larger than normal & there is a decided lack of "formatting". Now I have had that before, but it was cures by a Waterfox or Firefox "tab/button" - but I can NOT find this wretched setting any more on the latest WFox OR FFox.

Lost the TIMELINE form the screen, can not find it back !

I was adjusting the presentation of FCP. Adjusting the canvas and switching it with the viewer on my second screen and the timeline that I always have under the viewer and the canvas just disappeared !
When I go to "Window" in the menu it indicates that the Timeline is on. I tried restarting FCP, restarting my computer, looking in spaces, pressing F9 to have the overview of all my open windows but I can't find the Timeline.
Can somebody tell me what is this joke.

Ipod touch Mail Blank Screen- can't access mail
Hi,
When I try to open mail on my ipod touch, it opens a blank/black screen (still with the grey bar at the top with the time) but never comes up with the inbox or any menus to interact with (can't access my mail).
I recently added another imap account. Does it have troubles with too many messages or otherwise- surely it would say that rather than staying on a blank screen.
Any thoughts?Have you tried resetting your ipod by holding the Home & Sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo?

Hey everyone, i took great care of my ipod which i got a while back, after another one had water spilled all over it and died. anyways i went to go listen to my ipod and had a blank screen all of a sudden as if it was really low on battery or something, but i could still hear the music. first try a reset:
Hold both the Home button and the Power button down for 10+ seconds until the Apple logo appears. Let go promptly when it appears, wait 30+ seconds for your iPad to restart. No information or settings will be lost.
Now try giving your iPad a friendly thump on the back.
Place the iPad face down on a bed or your knee and try gently hit it right on the Apple logo on the back of your iPad. If that doesn't work try thumping it in various places on the back including the corners, and with increasing intensity.

Premiere Pro not loading after splash screen, can't find fix on forums.
Fresh install, doesn't matter what I do to this machine, memcheck came out ok. I click on Premiere Pro CS3 icon loads splash screen, then kicks out an error code.

I have an amd 4800+ Dual Core and 3 gigs of ram. An Nvidia 8800gt with latest drivers installed for all of it. Running windows XP home sp 3 build 2600 More information on my system below.
I've re-installed 3 times, and even tried a clean install of vista. I've done the hold shift while loading and get the same issue no matter what. I've Deleted the premiere folder in local settings.

So my girlfriend boss wanted me to fix her computer. So I brought it home turned it on, and it didnt chime but it booted to the gray screen with apple logo/ slashed circle/and folder with a "?" So I made a USB Mac OS x bootable drive (FLASH) held down alt (try using a windows keyboard its fun) was able to select option and install a fresh copy. all seemed well was running really hot so I poped of the screen. HOLY MOLY! this thing is CAKED with dust, and I am not kidding it has literally piles of dust. So I ran updates, and did firmware updates. Turned it off for the night.
The next morning I went to radio shack and got Dust remove spray, opened it up made sure I was carful taking off the screen, and blew the sucker out. now its NICE and CLEAN. then i made sure I plugged everything in and turned it on. Drive spun like normal, Optical checked for a CD, and fans are also running normally. but no chime, no nothing stays as silent as normal but doesnt budge, it is like it hangs.
Some background knowledge I know next to nothing about Apple, I am Windows based but have been intreged with the new line of Mac Books. anyone help me out?I figured it out it was the ram. I had took one from my old laptop and its was 6400, and the Mac i have calls for 5300 i went picked some up and wam it turned right on. WOOT!

can not get connected to my wifi, every time I get connected it take me to a blank screen
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

Can't find answer to Query Of Queries runtime error
Not only I browsed this forum but also googled this problem but unfortunnately I have no luck in finding the answer.
All I did was writing this simple query:

I tried the following and did not work either, still got the same error.
