Blank Screen in Portal

Hi,
Blank screen is appearing / no action is taking place, when a user clicks on a link in portal page only in his system. The same user, when tries logging into different system, the links are working fine..
What could be the problem?
Thank you.
Dhana

HI
its a problem concerned with browser
so try the following
Used the host name instead of the ip address in the url http://<host name>:50400/irj/portal.
Maintain the host name in the host file of the OS.
ip address host name.

Vijay.

  • Trying to test the Collaboration portal url using the below option in SICF but it is only pulling a blank screen

    Hi All,
Am trying to test the Collaboration portal url using the below option in SICF but it is only pulling a blank screen.
The path in SICF is  : /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/tmui/coll_portal
The webpage does not reflect any error except a blank screen.
Is there any basis side or TM side configuration that needs to be done to have data displayed on that webpage?
    Appreciate quick reply.
    Thanks.

    Hi Jan,
Now am getting this error :
    Gateway service /SCMTMS/USER not active
From the security guide I found a handful of services to be activated :
The following services are required if you intend to use the SAP TM Collaboration Portal:

    /sap/public/bc/ur/

    /sap/public/bc/icf/logoff

    /sap/public/bc/UI2/

    /sap/bc/ui2/startup

    /sap/opu/odata/SCMTMS/TENDERING/

    /sap/opu/odata/SCMTMS/USER/

    /sap/opu/odata/SCMTMS/GENERAL/

    /sap/opu/odata/SCMTMS/EVENT_NOT/

    /sap/opu/odata/SCMTMS/INVOICE_SUBMISSION

    /sap/opu/odata/SCMTMS/FRT_PROCUREMENT

    /sap/opu/odata/SCMTMS/INVOICING

    /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/tmui/coll_portal/
But in my system, in SICF only this path is present /sap/opu/odata.
/SCMTMS onwards is missing, so am not able to activate these bunch of services which ideally should be present in the system. Hence am thinking to open a ticket with SAP for the same.
    What you suggest?

  • ESS/MSS on SAP Portal Blank screen instead of IViews.

    Hi,
ESS/MSS roles are visiable on portal but when I assigned it to my own user I could not see the iViews we are getting blank screen please screen.
    Please help us.

    hi,
you need to create user in the backend system and you need to map user in backend using SSO by either logon tickets or User mapping.
if you have not created user then  to create user in backend follow following steps:
Please follow this steps to setup ESS/MSS in Portal.
    Configuration Settings for ESS
Create Infotype 0105 for all Employees
    Use
To link a user in the portal to the employee in the backend, the employee master records must be extended. The portal user information is stored in the backend in the communication infotype 0105, subtypes 0001 (System User Name SAP System (SY-UNAME)) and 0010 (E-Mail).
    Prerequisites
u2022 The users MANAGER and EMPLOYEE are mapped to the relevant portal users, ideally by SSO, so that they have the same name.
u2022 You must have created personnel numbers in the SAP system for the relevant employees.
u2022 The following roles are assigned to your ERP user which should be mapped to the employees: SAP_EMPLOYEE, SAP_EMPLOYEE_ERP, and SAP_EMPLOYEE_ERP05. The latter is a composite role for all country specific functions. You can select only the specific country role for your user and delete the other roles.
    Procedure
    1. Choose the following:
SAP Easy Access Menu Human Resources u2192 Personnel Management u2192 Administration u2192 HR Master Data u2192 Maintain
    Transaction PA30
    2. Enter your employeeu2019s personnel number
    3. In the direct selection section, enter infotype 0105 and choose the Create button.
    4. In the subtypes for infotype u201CCommunicationu201D dialog box, select 0001 and then Enter.
    5. In the field ID/Number, enter the ID used to log in to the portal
    6. Save your entry.
    7. Return to the Maintain HR Master Data screen.
    8. Keep the infotype 0105 in the infotype field and choose Create.
    9. In the subtypes for infotype u201CCommunicationu201D dialog box, select 0010 and then Enter.
    10. In the ID/Number field, enter the email address and save your entries
    11. Repeat steps 2-10 for employee 91000067. ID/Number MANAGER.
also Jco connection needs to be configured..

  • Blank screen while pressing "Cancel" or "Back" button in Portal

    Hi Experts,
    We have a peculiar problem.
The user is trying to access time levelling report (which is a
    iView) in MSS.
The user is getting the output of the report.  When the user tries to press "back button" from the output screen (which is a SAP Transaction iView)  the user is getting blank screen insted of report input screen.
Please suggest me some hints to resolve this.
    Thanks
    Abdul

I was calling details screen( screen called from ALV) using call screen in double click event. I changed this to SET SCREEN 110.LEAVE SCREEN. Now my back button in ALV screen started working as expected.
    Thanks  for your answers.

  • Transaction launcher gives blank screen

    Hii All
I have configured a TL to launch Tx. - crmd_order(CRM)  but it displays a blank screen.
I have already tried the following (by referring to SDN posts) :-
      1.  Notes 1620007 and 1521043 are already implemented in our system.
      2.  Maintained proper URL in CRMS_IC_CROSS_SYS. It is wokring fine when opened directly in IE.
      3. Activated and tested the relevant ITS services (SICF).
      4. In sicf service, the  SAP implementation area is selected as "Signature Design" ( from the posts i found that if thevalue          is "Netweaver Classic" then the blank screen issue  comes).
      5. Executed the report to publish ITS services : SIAC_PUBLISH_ALL_INTERNAL.
      6. Executed BOR object in swo1. It is wokring fine.
But it still displays the blank screen. Please suggest some solution or the step which I am missing.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Blank screen while release working time

    Hi,
One particular employee in Prod system (ESS Portal), is getting a blank screen while releasing his working time. (It is working fine for all other users)
    I did following things
    1. User has all the right master data (backend data)
    2. Did a backend trace (ST01/ST05), and find that the RFC for releasing working time is not getting triggered for this user. (It is triggering and working as required for all other users)
    3. In backend trace did not find any valid authorization failures.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks
    Krishna

maybe he doesnt have enough portal authorizations. check by giving him the administrator portal role and try again.

            SubhashTripathi

    Hello Subhash,
We had a similar thing happen to us in NetWeaver Portal 70 when we went to SP10. There were some "Z" menu area customizations done on the backend and on the Portal side we created copy of the iView changed the applications property to point to the "Z" menu area ex:
    sap.xss.menuarea=ZEMPLOYEE_BENEFITS_ERP2005
We then placed this iView on the page and flagged the original one to be invisible in navigation. When we went to SP10 even though it was flagged as invisible the portal was looking for the "Non Z" area menu. We fixed it be deleting the original iView from the page instead of merely flagging it as invisible in navigation.
    Good luck,
    Bert

  • ESS Blank Screen

    Hi
I am having a problem with the ESS. For one employee, when that person clicks the Time-In/Out , nothing is displayed. Only a blank screen . On the same computer if another person  login into the portal and do this, the screen is visible. Any help is appreciated.
    Cheers
    Skaria Manoj

    Dear,
If your blank page is totally white, it could be that personalization data is hiding the iView.
You can go to System Administration>Support>PCD>Personalization cleanup and put the userid (who face problem) and ticking principal to clear your own personalization data.
And also check the authorizaiton for the user at backend system. Pls check both default log from portal and ABAP log through ST22 at Backend.
    Thanks

  • ESS -- HR Administrator -- Blank Screen

    Dear Supprot,
We are trying to configure the ESS and MSS Scenarios over the Portal 70 using the backend ERP 2005 (ECC 60) system.
The SAP ESS and MSS iViews are working fine. But, when we select the tab 'HR Administrator' and then select the  'Start Processing' option, the system opens a new page and displays an empty blank screen.
Do we know how to fix this issue?
    Thank you,
    Nikee

    Hi Chris,
Same thing is happening with me!
Whenever i'm accessing the same workset & Iviews through Content Administration after changing Applicant parameter values to isEnabled=X or before changing, it throws me error something like this.
"com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntimeException: Failed in WD JNDI lookup. javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: No child found in WebDynproContext with name paasrprocst "

  • New Install - startx results in blank screen with mouse cursor

I installed Arch on my desktop last week with no issues, so I wanted to install it on an old THinkpad R31. Everything with the installation went smooth, but when I try to 'startx' all I get is a blank screen with a mouse cursor that I can move around. I've installed xorg-xinit, xorg-twm, xorg-xclock, and xterm.
I'm not getting any significant errors in the logs, or even the terminal I issue 'startx' in.
I'm not sure what the problem could be...
Here is my output from 'startx'

To run twm, you need to install xorg-twm from [extra] (I am not sure if it installs by default). Do you have xterm installed?
According to his first post he has both xorg-twm and xterm installed.
    I do indeed.
I went ahead and installed LXDE anyways, just to see what would happen. Exact same thing, it looks like everything is about to load but only the mouse cursor shows up. My Xorg.0.log is the same, so I won't post it again.
I do get an error in the console about the openbox menu.xml file missing but I doubt that's related.

  • Apple Cinema 23" on a PC? can't get it to work just has a blank screen?

Sorry this may have been asked a million times but i have a 23" cinema HD display and i'm try to connect it to a laptop PC with the convertor to vga and no matter what i try it has a blank screen with the white power light. I have tried to change the res to the lowest it doesn't work what am i doing wrong please help!!

You can't use a simple VGA to DVI adapter, since VGA doesn't have the digital video signals needed by Apple displays. You need a VGA to DVI converter, such as
