Blank screen on my all in one

I have an
HP OMNI 120  All-in-One PC Series
 Product No. OW800 AA#ABA
 Model No. 120-1125
Windows 7 Home Premium OA
I dont know if it is 32 or 64 bit... I could not find that info.
I bought it second hand from a computer shop, everything was fine except when I tried to log in to my school web site, Liberty University it took forever, and a couple times I couldn't log on. So I called them, they said bring it back they needed to change the memory. They delivered it back to me today (yesterday now) i hooked everything up the lights in back where you plug in the cord and the ethernet cable came on. I can feel it running but a big blank screen...hoping for a simple solution i can do myself.....I guess everyone is
Everything else logged on fine facebook, gmail ..etc...
Thank you

HP Photosmart C7280 All-In-One printer.  Operating system is Windows XP.  This has happened sporadically over several months.  A few weeks ago, I inserted new ink cartridges and that seemed to stop the problem.  Now, it has returned.  The on/off button will not turn the printer off.  The photo-menu, print photos, auto answer, on/off button, plus a light near the card slots all blink on and off.  The PhotoSmart Express displays a blue screen with B851FE84 written on it.  On occasion, I have received other blue screen messages but they appear for just a second or two.  I believe one earlier today was B01B17FC but it only appeared for a second or two so it may not be correctly recorded.

  • Blank Screen after start-up chime, won't start

I'm rather perplexed as to what's happened to my PowerBook. I'll run throught it
    PowerBook 12" 1.33 768
    Background:
I've just updated it to 10.4.4, which caused it to get stuck at the Apple symbol and spinning wheel. I had to restart in single user mode and run applejack, restart again and it was fine.
Recently the PowerBook started to not wake from sleep, I'd have hold down the power button then restart it. I thought it had done teh same thing today, but this time it makes the start-up chime but gets no further than a blank (dark, black) screen.
I tried inserting the Mac OS X CD and start up holding down the C key, but still same blank screen (with the added benefit that I'm now unable to remove the CD)
I tried plugging it into an external monitor, but nothing.
I've tried resetting the Preference RAM and the PMU. With some limited success. On occasion after resetting the PRAM, turning it off then back on, it starts with something like a extra blow of air from the fan and white blank screen instead of a black one. It then won't turn off at all, the only way is to pull the power and the battery.
I've noticed that when the ac adapter is plugged in and i've the white screen it flashes very quickly, orange.
I tried starting in Tartget disc mode connected to an iMac, the disc doesn't appear.
I tried starting up with an external firewire drive attached, nothing.
I've tried starting holding the keys for open firmware mode, nothing.
I've removed the AirPort card, no change.
I removed the extra 512mb RAM with no change.
The screen is clearly working, has anyone any ideas how to get it started?
Any help would be appreciated, it's a second hand PowerBook and so has no AppleCare.
    Cheers
    Stuart

I had the EXACT same problem happen to me, Stuartea71. My PowerBook crashed on the on Feb. 4th and I still can't figure it out. I had just dowloaded the 10.4.4 update, bought iLife 06, and ordered a new battery.
I tried every single thing that you did above. I finally called customer support, and walked me through a few things which I had already tried, but she finally pin pointed something in disk utility that I missed. My disk would not mount. In red letters it said "failing." She told me that was a internal HD problem that needs to be fixed by a certified tech.
I did something I'd never done before. I put my HD to sleep to optimize battery performance. I work with podcasts and downloaded a large file. Unfortunately I forgot my battery setting. I chalk it up as a lesson learned, and just bit the bullet and ordered a MacBook Pro.
BTW... if you all customer service they basically read directly from the Apple Website. I paid $49 dollars for someone to tell me my mac was broken and send it in.

  • Tx1000 blank screen

I have a tx1000 that booted a blank screen, I tried all the tricks but none of them worked for me, so I have changed the motherboard, the new one is brand new but still boots a blank screen, the blank screen only stays for about 30 seconds then the laptop shuts down.
    Any ideas, tip or tricks?

  • Computer won't boot into OS X.... blank screen

I installed some new RAM recently and had some problems. I needed to reset the nvram after it wouldn't recognize some of the ram, so I pressed Option, Command, O, and F upon rebooting to get into Open Firmware. The computer went to the screen with the circle and the slash through it. I reset by holding the power button. Now it boots to a blank screen.
During all of this I can still hear the startup sound.
One problem with possible solutions is that my bluetooth keyboard is not communicating with my Mac for some reason, so key presses are out of the question.
I tried resetting the PMU by pressing the button inside the computer, but nothing happened.
    Any suggestions?

    Ok,
After many boot attempts, the computer finally went to the Open Firmware dialog screen.
When I get my hands on a wired keyboard, should I reset nvram using the dialog command? Or should I just tell the computer to boot into OS X? After my first attempt to reset nvram, I'm a little suspicious of the whole process.
    Thanks for your help, everyone.

  • Update notification shows there are updates but when I click on the update option it shows a blank screen

The update option on the app store shows a notification that I have 'n' numbers of updates but when I click on the update option it only shows a blank screen. Even after updating the apps individually from the purchased option, the update option still shows a blank screen instead of "All you applications are up to date". Please help.

Many people are having this problem for the last couple of days. According to Fly150in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
    1. Go to App Store
    2. Select Purchased
    3. Select All
    4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
    5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store.

  • T430 own't boot. 4 short beeps with a blank screen.

    hi guys,
I got a very weired problem that my machine keeps beeping and accompanied with a blank screen. However, all BIOS hardware tests have passed and it just own't boot with any device CD, Hard Driver  or a bootable USB HDD...
then I found this on official support weisbte:  Four cycles of four short beeps and a blank screen - System board (Security chip)
Does this mean a motherboard replacement is the only way to address mt problem? if so, unfortunately, my warranty has just expired two month ago...so I just want to know is there a way to address this to save me some $$...
Any advices would be highly appreciated.

Many people are having this problem for the last couple of days. This is a problem that Apple has to fix. If you look around the forum, you will see many, many discusssions about this and they have been going on for a few days.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this is a workaround - for the time being.

  • HP copier/printer/scanner/fax all-in-one The print screen on machine is lit but blank.

HP laserjet 8600 All-in-one. My print screen on machine is lit but blank. Unable to access prompts to operate. At times it will display home, right and left arrows and ? when touching those prompts it shifts  from right to left but goes blank when touching other prompts
I am unable to print a copy because prompts don't appear on screen other than those mentioned.
I can print only from my computer

Hi there klf, welcome to the forums
I understand your display screen is blank on your printer. I would like for you to confirm which 8600 model you have and I will look into this for you.
In the meantime try a power reset:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Tip: Plug the printer in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.

  • All in one Hp Omni 27 blank screen

    Hi all!
I have an all in one Hp Omni 27-1001es and i have a really big problem!!!
Yesterday i was working on pc and needed to leave it for some minute.
When i got back the screen was blank and the pc looked freezed; i tried to reboot and nothing changed!!!!
At start up the power button led works, the fan starts to work and the led of hard drive too but the screen continues without signal of life. Unplugged everything, opened the case to clean from dust, checked the Ram and nothing appears to be burned or disconnected.
    Thanx for any help

    Hi RedRose,
thank you very much for the support and sorry if i'm late for reply.
I tried your solution but nothing changed! The screen still remain blank so i decided to open the case to see if something was burned. I cleaned every single sign of dust and i tried to unplug the graphic card to see if there was something wrong.
The graphic card seemed to be ok, but the cooling system of the cpu was full of dust so the fan didn't do his job well with the graphic cooling system.
Here the motherboard were you can see that the cooling system of this all in one is made in a wrong way
So if the radiator of the CPU is dirty (nº 2) the cool air doesn't pass to the graphic card radiator (nº2).
It means that the graphic card becomes hot and burns the motherboard in that part.
My question is, if this is a problem of building design, can i ask to hp to fix it without paying a new motherboard?
    Thanks

  • Blank screen on new C560 All in One

I just bought a Lenovo All in One C360.  It's been working fine and now it has a blank screen.  I have turned it off and back on again, unplugged it, plugged it into a different outlet.  HELP!

    hi sgasper,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
If the system indicator lights doesn't lit up (usually located at the lower left side of the screen) then it's likely that there's an internal component that's malfunctioning. In this case, I recommend you contact lenovo and report the issue (they usually send somebody over for service).
