Blank Spaces Appearing

I've just upgraded from v4 to v8 of Dreamweaver and what used
to be an easy task has me puzzled.
On screen my pages look ok but when I look at them in my
browser, I get a large area of white blank space at the bottom of
my body text. I'm confused as to why and can't get rid of it.
I'm still getting to grips with this version of Dreamweaver
but this has me stumped. An example page is :

How do i get rid of this annoying blank space?

I'm using Pages '09 v4.03 on a Mac with OSX 10.9.1 on a MacBook Pro.
Many of the documents I use on a daily basis are created by others, and I don't know what they're doing to make this annoying blank space appear on my documents. The screenshot below shows the irritating area in the oval. My view is set to page width.
Wierd thing is...when I go to fullscreen mode, that gray bar is still there! It's something about the page width setting, perhaps?
How can I only view the document? Help!

Blank space above address bar in full screen mode on Mac

Hi.
Blank space appears above address bar in full screen mode when I bookmark specific web page for the first time after FF start. Only way to hide this space is View->Toolbars->Customize->Done. But it appears each time after FF restarts. Disabling all addons does not help. This problem disappears only in FF safe mode.

Gmail formatting icons appear as blank spaces in Firefox 4.0 How to correct this?

I find that,after switched over to Firefox 4.0, the formatting icons in Gmail "compose mail" page appear as blank spaces. How to get back the display of these icons?

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.

Why do graphics and colors that appear on the monitor show up as blank spaces when printed out

Graphics (especially color) on emails and attachments show up as BLANK spaces when printed out.
Also, some color graphics and detail work of those graphics on familiar websites do not show up on my monitor
Both of these situations DO NOT occur on Explorer. With that browser - everything is OK

it may have worked, but gimping my system isn't exactly a solution, more of a band-aid.

What do you mean "it may have worked" – did it or did it not?
Anyway it is not a remedy but diagnostics and if it makes a difference it points at the GPU driver as a likely culprit.

Apps show on laptop but do not appear on iphone - just blank spaces

I have a few apps which worked when I 1st got them but now do not show on the iphone; however they still show on the laptop, even after I delete them from the library they reappear when I sync the phone. It is as if the icon has disappeared on the iphone but it is still there in the background somewhere, although it does not work. But blank spaces are there on the iphone where the apps were placed. It happened to pic2shop and aroundme apps. How can I get them to show on the iphone and work again? I have tried downloading them again and also doing a reset, and even deleting them from the mac, but I can't delete them from the iphone. Help!!

This is the proper way to completely remove an app from your itunes library:
1. Click on Applications on the left hand side of the iTunes window.
2. Locate the application and either "right-click" or "Control-click" and choose Delete from the shortcut menu.
3. Select "Remove" when asked if you want to remove the selected application from your iTunes library.
4. Select "Move to Trash" when asked if you want to move the selected application to the Trash.
5. Empty your trash.
Then, sync your phone to completely remove the app from your phone. If you get a prompt to transfer purchases regarding the phantom apps on your phone, decline.

I recently deleted a partition on my mac that was intended to install windows. Now it is just blank space. I attempt to resize my Macintosh HD partition to cover entire hard drive space and hit apply but nothing happens (disk utility). Any ideas?

I have a few problems...
I wanted to make a partition to install windows, I tried to use bootcamp 5 where it wanted to partition and install windows at the same time. I do not have a cd of windows but instead had it on a flash drive. Bootcamp couldn't find it. Instead I was reading forums and found that there was another way to install windows by partioning your harddrive using the disk utility, downloading the bootcamp drivers, and installing rEFIt (an app that when starting the compouter a menu would come up to boot windows from the flashdrive). I try that and the windows install screen gets me to the point where I pick a partition. I attempt to pick the partitioned drive but a message comes up telling me that "this is of the GPT partition style" and windows cannot be installed on the drive.
So now I went back to disk utility and deleted the partition but there is still blank space. I wanted to retry and install windows through bootcamp (somehow) but a message comes up that there cannot be any partitions or that a partition must be created using bootcamp. SO i keep trying to drag the partition over the blank space and hit apply but nothing happens.
By the way I was trying to install windows 8 pro, some forums would say that you cant install win8 however I found others that said you could. How do I fix my partition and how do I use bootcamp to install windows (preferrably 8)?

Csound1 What Ive been trying to explain is that I have been running bootcamp, I open the app where the first screen is the introduction, i hit continue, the first time I select "download the latest windows support software fromm Apple" then I return and instead select "Install Windows 7." Then hit continue. The third screen is where I "Create a Partition for Windows" I set Windows to 80 gigs then hit INSTALL. As stated before Bootcamp cannot find the install drivers saying "The installer disc could not be found." My windows software is on a USB drive not a disc, I tried using a virtual disc reader to make it appear that the windows software was running on a disc, still no luck. What I would like to know is how to install windows on bootcamp.

Double clicking on the box will open the image in a separate window. It's very slow and tedious for multiple images. How can I go back to attached and displayed images? If I click on "Forward", the images appear instantly in the email to be forwarded.

My problem seemed to fix itself. Or, by shutting down the computer one night, instead of putting it to sleep, may have reset something. Since updating to Mavericks, I always (or usually) let the computer sleep overnight or anytime I'm walking away from it. A few days ago, I was updating notes for my kids about how to find all my stuff and how to turn on my computer, so I wanted to rewrite the start-up procedures for the iMac, just in case they ever need to. Well, I shut it down one night so the following morning, I could write down each step. Lo and behold, the images, etc. are all there again! Solved, but I'm not sure why.

How do I clear the blank space between content and footer?

In the process of revising a Muse website, I deleted some content from one of the pages and revised the content that remained on the page. Now I have a blank area between the bottom of the revised content and the top of the footer, and I can't seem to get rid of the blank space. It doesn't appear that there are any text blocks or other images in that area, so I can't find any objects to delete. Help?
The website is currently published in a draft mode for client review. You can examine it at: http://page7creative.com/clients/coremove_jun2012draft/retreats.html. The page in question is the Retreats page. Restarting Muse made no difference. I work on the Mac platform.
Before I sent this post, I decided to try creating a new page, then copy/paste the content onto the new page, and save the Muse site under a different name. Lo and behold, the page (and the site) works like it should...without any extra space above the footer on that page. It would appear that something went astray when I deleted content on that page. I can use the new page to get the site working properly, but decided to go ahead and send this post so that you can look at the page code and perhaps see what is wrong that is causing the blank space...in case I ever run into this again.

There is a graphic at the bottom of the content area of the Retreats page that's been cropped to a size of zero width and 2 pixels in width.
Unfortunately, there's a bug with pointer tool drag selection (aka marque selection) that prevents it from selecting an item that has zero width or zero height. Therefore the easiest way to select this item to delete it is to select any other item on the page, then hit the tab key repeatedly to cycle through every item on the page. When you get to this item you should see a little pile of selection handles at the left edge of the third column and right at the bottom of the content area. The width and height will display as zero and 2. Delete this item and the page will resize to fit the remaining content.

HP LaserJet 1200 Series- Spaces appearing in words of printed document

I have an HP LaserJet 1200 series printer. All of a sudden blank spaces began appearing in the footnotes of a document. For example, "supra" printed as "s upra" numerous times in a row, "in" printed as "i n", and "whether" printed as "whether r". The spaces do not appear on the computer screen. I just attached another printer and the spaces disappeared. Is there a way to fix my HP LaserJet 1200 series printer? Thanks for any help!

I am using a formula in query designer to make some calculation but, once executed, this formula shows a blank space.
What does a blank space means?? The formula is not giving me an error.

Hi,
I think the blank appears in the report because it is encountering a Divide by Zero error.
First check what calculations your doing in the formula. If your doing a division and if there are chances that the Denominator is 0 and numerator has some value, then based on the setting in the spro, you might get a blank.
Try and put the function in BEx that handles divide by zero errors. The function is NDIV0
If that is not the case then please paste the formula that you have written.

File Content Conversion Removes Leading Blank/Space

I'm having a problem where file content conversion is trimming leading blanks/space/whitespace from fields when reading in the inbound file. I've seen where people have posted that you need to use fieldContentFormatting to prevent content conversion from stripping the leading/trailing whitespace. I added that parameter to my list (see below example) but it still appears to be trimming the leading whitespace. Look forward to hearing your thoughts. Here are the details:
I'm using fixed length file content conversion for Sender File Adapter (SP15). I have the following parameters set:

Thanks all for your attempts but I figured it out and wasn't this the biggest case of irony.
Here I was trying to prevent leading spaces from being trimmed in the loading of my file and my problem was that when I typed:
MaterialLine.fieldContentFormatting
I actually left a "blank" at the end of the "g" in Formatting. Apparently XI didn't like that and neither gave me a runtime or compile error. Anyway I found this and though I'd share in case anyone else encounters it. I removed the blank and all is working now.

Unwanted blank pages appearing in 7.0.5 (but working in 9)

I'm trying to create a form which has a front page and three optional additional sections that appear when the respective buttons are clicked. I need the form to work in Reader 7.0.5
I've got it working just fine in LiveCycle 8.2 and Acrobat 9, but when it is opened in Reader 7.0.5 three blank pages appear after the front page, and as the optional sections are opened, they replace/fill-up these blank pages.
Any help would be most gratefully received!

The form is targeted to 7.0.5 and saved as a dynamic XML form.
I am not seeing any warnings, but when switching to Preview PDF, I do see the following under the log:
"Invalid version: the current version of the XFA template model exceeds the capability of Acrobat/Adobe Reader 7.0.5"
The buttons to reveal the page have the following formcalc scripts:

Could be caused by many reasons.
Is the paragraph format set to skip a line the first time it is printed (SPACE AFTER setting)?
Is the data causing it to overflow across the line?
Is there a line feed in the actual SAPscript (like a "/" paragraph format)?

Gallery caption custom settings - adding blank spaces?

When using the custom settings in the Caption option within the Gallery Module I would like to add blank spaces between options but can't find a way to do it. I prefer not to use dashs or other characters for separators. Ie: <filename> blank space/s <custom text>. Even with custom text, only only blank space is accepted no matter how many you put in. Can this be done?

I'm not too familiar with the web module, but if you want there to be a series of spaces, you have to use a series of non-breaking space entities, all in a row. If you are doing that, it appears that the interface or the processing is removing them. You might be forced to hacking the template. I hear they are just HTML files renamed to something else and stashed somewhere in the Lr install directory.
If you do end up hacking your own template, you might want to style the divs and spans you are using, as that will be more robust.
