Blank subtotals

Question

This seems to come up once in a while. I have a view which has both number and Date types. When I subtotal any of the numbers, it works fine. Ditto the dates (or more correctly, a calculation that is the difference between two Date types).
But if I try to subtotal both, when the report begins recalculating, it immediately tells me the Discover connection to the server is lost, and I must exit and restart the program. Doen't matter if I sutotal numbers first, then add the date subtotal, or if I do the date first, then add a number subtotal.
One last interesting note: the Grand Totals work fine. The propblem is repeatable in a test report with no joins other than those in the view. I've checked the joins in the view (and tried them in bth directions just in case I was wrong) with no effect.
Anyone have any ideas what I should try next? I'm using Discover Plus v. 10.1.2.54.25 on IE 7.0, Win Xp SP2.

Hi John
When you are running IE7 did you upgrade to 10.1.2.2 and apply the IE7 patch? I ask because without doing that then IE7 is not a certified browser. Should this be the case have you tried the same on a machine running IE6?
