Blank Values in XML Publisher
Hi all,
I'm generating a report in xml publisher 5.6.2, i have 4 datamodels inside the report and i'm using the Concatenated SQL Data Source option, then i generate the xml file to add it to the rtf template, the problem is that when i preview the report i'm getting blank values in the list that does not exist in the xml file.
i Have 4 data models one is a list of flights, the other 3 are Select count(*), when i delete this 3 data models from the report everything work ok but i need this data in the report too.

Use a conditional region around the Address2. Your if statements could look something like this.
<?if:FIELDNAME!=''?><?FIELDNAME?><?end if?>Have the if statement start at the end of ADDRESS1 and endif at the begining of ADDRESS3.

Hi,
I am getting extra blank page in XML publisher report.
The RTF has two pages and each page has one table.These two tables will be populated with data based on some if condtion.
eg:
In RTF:
for each Header
if PMA='Y' THEN
Table1 data in 1st page
end if;
pageBreak
IF OTC='Y' then
Table2 data in 2nd page
END IF;
end for each
And also another issue is: The data is starting from the same page instead of new page.
Please help me in solving the issue.

I am using <xsl:attribute name="break-before">page</xsl:attribute> page break.
I tried split-by-page-break also,but still its not resolved.
Today I have noticed one thing: When generating this report locally,then there is no blank page coming.But when generating from APPS then blank page is coming.

i have a xml report, it shows 7 rows in one page. the question is: if there are just 7 rows , when previews with pdf, it will generate 2 pages, the first page shows 7 rows, and the second page is blank.

Blank line in xml publisher report -
Hi Friends,
There is one issue in xml publisher report. Its an rdf based xml report
In header section it used to display customer address details. like below
address1
address2
address3
city state province postal_code
country
If address2 is NULL, it prints a blank line in between the total address. Need to avoid blank line and print address3 in address2 position.
How can i remove the blank line? Finally there shouldn't be any blank spaces or lines.
Any idea? Plz post here.

How to keep a value in blank cell in xml publisher
Hi All,
I have a column which displays a value.
When there is no value in that column it is showing BLANK in the report.
Here I want to place some symbol like "*" or "$" in the BLANK cell.
I tried using if condition but i am not clear.
How can i do that?

How to avoid the null values from xml publisher.
I am creating a report which have the claim numbers with the values CLA001,CLA111,null, null . when i preview my report it is showing some spaces for null values also. How can i avoid the spaces from the report.
I am giving for loop for the claim numbers in the template.

According to your description, you are experiencing the null values and infinity values when browser the calculated measure, right?
Based on my research, the issue is caused by that dividing a non-zero or non-null value by zero or null. In this cases, we need to check for division by zero to avoid this situation. Here is the sample query for you reference.

Measures.[Measure A] / Measures.[Measure B]

XML Publisher Printing Blank spaces for no data
hi All,
We are trying to build a report using XML Publisher and .RTF template.
We have dynamic fields like Wt Uom, Volume Uom, Dimensions.So when we don’t have data in these fields XML Publisher consider these data as blank and so blank spaces comes. If we have data in these fields then blank spaces will not come, as the blank spaces will be filled up the data of Wt, Volume and Dimension fields.
We want to remove the blank spaces for the items that do not have any corresponding data for the fields. Is there any way we can remove the field header and the blank spaces that are there?

The element is present in the XML data, but it has one space
<?if:element_name and element_name=' ' ?> desired behavior when
the element exists but value has one space <?end if?>
Or
what you can do is trim the data before forming XML . -
Passing Value from BI Beans to XML Publisher
Hi,
I have requirement to get data from BI Beans and pass it to XML publisher for display. How to do this handshake (pass value). I read that XML publisher understand only XML data, my doubt is if xml pub can read data from browser/BI beans or not?

Output shown blank when we run report in xml publisher using excel template
Hi,
1) We have a requirement where we need to run report to shown 100 columns. Since Microsoft word supports only 63 columns. So we are building the report template in Excel.
2) When I run the report in Excel locally I get the output. But when I uplaod in BIP server and then run the report It gives a blank output.
BI Publisher version 10.1.3.4.1
BI Publisher Desktop version 11.1.1.5
Please look into the issue.

XML Publisher LOV missing values
I am trying to run an Oracle's XML Publisher in EBS 11.5.10 as Accounts Receivable which I have granted responsibility to run the XML publisher. I go in to the submit a concurrent request type in xml report publisher after pressing tab I am presented with the Report Request and put % or anything in and I get a basically get a message saying the LOV is empty
When I look at the available XML templates under the Receivables responsibility in XML Publisher Administrator I have 6 different default Oracle reports listed that I can view as the XML Publisher Administrator.

Some RTF commands not working in Oracle XML Publisher Desktop 5.6.3

I am using Oracle XML Publisher Desktop 5.6.3 (Patch 5887917) and seems like some of the RTF command are not working. I am following Tim Dexter's blog (http://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/2007/10/here_are_my_terms_conditions.html ) and could not make the "new" commands from his blog, work in my template.

<?section:xdofo:blank-on;'even-skip-page-count'?> -- cannot suppress the NUMPAGES value of MS Word
Do I need to apply additional patch(es) on top of Patch 5887917 for the MS Word add-on? Could you please tell me what am I missing?

VO Extension Error in modifying the query of XML Publisher Report Template

I have one requirement related to calling XML Publisher Reports Template from OAF Page.
When clicking on the submit button the XML Publisher template is calling and displaying the data.
Our requirement is to display some more columns in the XML Publisher Template and display the data.
As according to OAF stndards,whenever we need to add new columns for display or SELECT purpose,
we will do the VO Extension. So we modified the query by adding the new additional colums in the standard VO.
I am able to retrieve the data from the SQL DEVELOPER. But when doing the VO Extension process and

XML PUBLISHER report in Excel out put problem
Hi Experts,
I have developed one XML report which output type is EXCEL in Oracle Application.
I am getting some -ve value in the report so I need to do the trailing sign
Menace for example I got a value -8645 I need to display the value like (8645).
This functionality is working in PDF output but in EXCEL out put it is not working.
Could any body please help me on this..
