Blank white screen after download

I have downloaded and run the CC trial, but when I open CC from my desktop the window is blank white when it should be the screen where I select which trial to install. I have deleted the CC and redownloaded it twice to no avail. Any suggestions?

  • Blank White Screens After Installing Lion in Software

    Before I start, I have a Macbook Pro 5,1 -- 2.66Ghz Core2Duo with 8GB of RAM, 500GB 7200rpm HDD, and an nVidia 9600GT M Graphics card
I installed Lion. This install was an UPGRADE from 10.6.8. Most of my apps arent working at all. Adobe CS 5.5 Master Collection, Final Cut Pro, Ableton Live, and even Time Machine.
They all just open up and give me a blank white screen (literally, a window, and instead of there being stuff inside the window its just a big giant WHITE BOX OF NOTHING). Time machine actually shows me the selected finder window but i couldnt select any older time machine dates.
Additionally I tried dragging icons off the dock, and it froze up my entire machine just by dragging them off the dock. I had to right click on icons to remove them.
I finally booted up into the "Recovery HD" and recovered my Time Machine backup to Snow Leopard 10.6.8 that I was using before.
I would very much like to use Lion, but it seems to have alot of problems with my machine. Should I do a completely fresh install maybe?
    Any other solutions?

I have reverted to a backup from yesterday in which Lion was first installed and ran without problems. But this time, the windows of my apps were still white.
I also tried creating a new user account, thinking that there was a chance that it was a conflict with a piece of 3rd party software. Not that I can rule out software conflicts, but I still had the same problems.
So I'm now reverting to Snow Leopard.  Ugh…
At least the "Recovery Partition" is pretty cool ;)

  • CC app has blank white screen, not downloading anything?

I just download the CC app to my Windows 8 laptop.
After going through all the steps, everything seemed fine.
But then I went to download the Adobe Flash [The animation program] trial version from the site, and the CC app pops up from my desktop, but it's just a blank white box.
On the main site it says:
    Flash Professional is downloading now...
But NOTHING is showing any sign of it doing so on the site, downloads, or my computer.
I've never used this site before, and don't ever recall downloading Flash at home, only in school.
I search through my files/programs, and nothing related is there.
    I appreciate any help.

  • Why am I getting a white screen after downloading to OSX Mountain lion from OSX Snow Leopard. What caused this?

I just upgraded to OSX Mountain Lion from OSX Snow Leopard, thinking this was the thing to do.  I have NEVER had any problems with Snow Leopard, but
after just a few days after downloading OSX Mountain Lion when I turned the computer on, the screen was white.  Stayed white.  I had to go onto another
computer to find out what to do.  What caused this and will this happen again?

Did you see a circle made of light grey hash marks in the center/bottom of the screen?  My iMac is 5 years old and for every update until 10.8.2 I would get the same white screen and the first few times I paniced and thought the machine was broken!  Just let it play out until the desktop comes back up and it should not do it again until you do a system update.

  • Blank white screen after login prompt on sharepoint site

    Greetings all
We have sharepoint site setup which is running fien since a year  now with one WFE  web server, db server, ad  server
We received  a problm recently when we received blank screen after entering login details.
Upon restart of website via IIS  it resumed.
I am still finding what are causes and which event log would help to identify errors?

We couldnt schedule this to be on and waited for weekned.
However we again had same incident reported 8 am cst and found that event log has similar warning ( time approx 6 am cst).
    Cleared sharepoint timer cache.
started sharepoint timer service again .
still website didnt show contents after authenticating.
stopped website in IIS   mapped to this web application and site contents started showing up.
is there anything else we need to enable in sharepoint logging to find  root causes.
We have pending windows updates on server , should that be causing any of these errors?

  • White screen after downloading iOS6 update

I just downloaded the iOS6 update onto my iPod touch, 4th generation.  (I was prompted to do so when I turned it on this afternoon.)  The update "stuck" midway, and after waiting more than an hour, I forced the iPod to turn off by holding down the sleep/wake button and the home button simultaneously.  The iPod shut down and then restarted itself.  However, the restart left me with a white/blank screen.  Is there any way I can restore this iPod to factory defaults?  It does not appear as a device in iTunes.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • What to do with withe screen after download ios5

my iphone turnd on white screen after download ios 5 what can i do now

If you purchased apple care plus then you can get your iPad replaced for a $49 service fee. If you didn't then out of warranty replacements start at 219 for a mini and goes up to 299 for the newer models.
If you decide to take it to a non-authorized repair place, they might fix it cheaper, but once a non-authorized place touches your device Apple washes its hands of it and will have nothing else to do with it.
So it kinda comes down to the more expensive sure bet of an out of warranty replacement or a cheaper gamble

  • I have a white screen whilst downloading Yosemite onto my Mac. What should I do??

I Have a white screen after downloading & installing Yosemite.  What should I do now???

First of all, wait and give it some time. It might be rebuilding the disk. Sometimes, it takes a little time for the busy indicator to come up.
If there is no change in 5 min., reboot with the option key pressed. This will make the mountable recovery partition visible. You can select it and boot into it, then use Disk Utlity to try to check and repair your boot volume.
If there is no recovery HD, boot while pressing CMD-R. You need to be in a place with a network connected to the internet. If you are, you can boot recovery tools over the internet, and restore your system. Depending on the speed of your network connection, this can take a while (even hours....).
It is useful to have a backup of your system using a USB drive. These are inexpensive. Use Carbon Copy Cloner to maintain a copy of your main disk. You can boot from the USB drive, and repair your internal volume, and even completely restore it, should trouble arise.

  • How do i get out of white screen after login

How do i get out of the white screen after signing on to my computer.

    Hi GregConk,
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If I understand right, your iMac is only starting up to a blank white screen after you log in. If so, there are some good troubleshooting steps that may resolve this behavior.
First, try booting your computer into Safe Mode, to see if your desktop appears in this mode:
Shut down your Mac. If necessary, hold your Mac's power button for several seconds to force it to power down.
Start your Mac, then immediately hold the Shift key. This performs a Safe Boot. Advanced tip: If you want to see the status of a Safe Boot as it progresses, you can hold Shift-Command-V during start up (instead of just Shift).
Note: A Safe Boot takes longer than a typical start up because it includes a disk check and other operations.
If your Mac starts up as expected, immediately try restarting.

If you see your desktop in Safe Mode, but not when starting up normally, try the troubleshooting tips in this article next:

  • Creative Cloud is a blank white screen, can't download any apps, how do I fix?

    Hello all,
    PLEASE HELP!!
I downloaded Ai as a trial version, then purchased CS6 on a 12 month.
Now I'm trying to download other apps (tried Photoshop, Flash and Premiere Pro), however when I click 'download' to try and get the other apps Creative Cloud pops up and it's a blank white screen.
Nothing happens, anthing to click NOTHING.
I've tried shutting the computer down, reinstalling Creative Cloud. Even tried downloading the above programs as trial versions (to start with) but CC just keeps popping up with a blank white screen.
How do I fix, or better still just get the apps I'm after?

    Hi,
    Welcome to the Community!
    Rename the opm.db file.
Close the Creative Cloud application if it's running.
    Navigate to the OOBE folder.
    Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Mac OS: /User/<username>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder
Rename the opm.db file to opm_old.db
    Launch Creative Cloud
    Thanks!

Use the uninstaller provided with the Sophos software. You can uninstall CUDA via the preference pane. Be sure you remove the com.nvidia.CUDA extension which is located in the /System/Library/Extensions/ folder. Not sure if Fan Control has an uninstaller so you will have to do it manually:
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item.  Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:
        1. AppZapper
        2. AppDelete
        3. Automaton
        4. Hazel
        5. AppCleaner
        6. CleanApp
        7. iTrash
        8. Amnesia
        9. Uninstaller
      10. Spring Cleaning

Be sure to remove your two Login Items. Finally do this:
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks without erasing drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

    Hello KCC4ME,
You may try booting your Mac in Safe Boot, as it can resolve many issues that may prevent a successful login.

If a Safe Boot allows you to successfully log in, you may have issues with one or more login itmes (while the following article is labelled as a Mavericks article, it is viable for earlier versions of the Mac OS, as well).
