Blend functions fail for three simple trapezoidal profiles
Ashamedly, I'm double posting
I placed this in the Motion Control forum, where it belongs, but it's had pitiful recognition (according to the view counter), so I'm hoping there are others walking the LabVIEW fourms with experience using the NI Motion profile blending functions?

National Instruments motion control is so advanced that stepping back in time is no big deal. I hope you enjoy the feature.
In all seriousness, though, this is a bug and, depending on your end goal, may have a suitable workaround.
Goal #1: You want to perform an online blended move with NI motion. If this is the case, you can construct your blended move in the Motion Assistant environment (which can handle 3 blended moves) and then generate LabVIEW code once you have the trajectory you want. This will generate NI-Motion code for the 3 (or more) blended moves. You will not get an array of velocities, positions, and accelerations, but you will be able to send the proper commands to the NI Motion board and it will use the trajectory you specified.
Goal #2: You want the arrays of velocities, positions, and accelerations. If you only care about the actual arrays of setpoints, you can use SoftMotion instead. I have attached an example that you will run on My Computer. It currently allows you to blend three single axis moves together, but it could be expanded to do more. Let me know if you have any questions about the example (and please excuse its messiness!).

When your authentication fails, stamp a "last failure" time on the record. Then check in your authorization that if the number of attempts is > X then the last failure timestamp must be less than sysdate - 30 mins.
Then set the message text to be something like "you cannot log in for (x) minutes" where (x) is calculated based on sysdate and the last failure date. -
Remote enabled Function module for a simple report program
Hi Experts ,
I have to convert a Simple list report program to a remote enabled function module, so that it can be used from the online applications.
One option that comes to my mind is to create some import parameters for all the selection screen fields and then the result will be fetched in the export tables in function module. and call that report program using call transaction or submit program.
I Dont know whether this is a best solution or not, can you please help me with your suggestions?

You can use the SUBMIT statment in the Function module , then in the report program you need to EXPORT the Result to the list then use the IMPORT option in the function moduel then pass the data to the TABLE parameters so that the data will be avilable in the table parameters

Background job fails for BDC profile creation and role assignment
Hi Experts,
I have created a BDC Function module for Tcode 'PFCG' for profile creation and role assignment, and called this FM in my zprogram. the problem is that when i run this program in foreground it executes succesfully, but if i schedule it in background it fails throwing error in job log 'Role 'Z...' does not contain any active authorizations'. But i have created one more program to create authorization objects which runs before this zprogram.I have also checked the authorization object in 'RSECADMIN', it reflects active. I dont understand whats happening exactly when it runs background.

Yeah definately, my requirement is that I have to access of some BI reports to certain users, so contract data will be downlaoded from ECC on application server, need to read that file from application server and for the each contract i ahould create a authorization object, role creation and assigning of role to the user and profile generation and activation.

For creating authorization objects, role & profile i have created one dummy auth, dummy role & dummy profile respectively.
i have created dummy objects to copy the roles from dummy object and assign the same to new Auth obj, role & profile.

Edit My Profile in My Site displayed an error that "An unexpected error occurred" with a
Correlation ID. I have tried to read the logs in the 14 hive Logs folder but unsuccessfully.
I was able to understand Event Viewer logs, there was supposed to be 4 possibilities
one was wheter UPS was running, the other was clearing the cache and the other 2 I also fixed
I even recreated the Search Service Application, Metadata and UPS but when I fixed the problems
the error still occurred.
Then I used a Powershell command that displayed output but the Output doesn't make sense
because it is saying the login failed associated with the database that was created by the Search
Service application when it was created.
But how can that username be related to the Search Service database? Below is the output:

Cisco 4402 LAP1131 Interference Profile Failed for Base Radio MAC:
Dropped connections every day, few times a day.
WLC Was working perfectly fine for about a year then had some dropped connections.
Upgraded to the latest firmaware and also default it to the factory and reconfigured it.

Interference Profile Failed for Base Radio MAC:This is a threshold parameter: "Interference Profile failed" along with some others. All this does is send alerts to the WLC log, to your syslog or to your WCS/NCS or Prime Infrastructure management tool. You need to adjust these for your environment if you see too many alerts being triggered. Interference can be a main issue in downtown big citites and you would bump the value up to reduce the number of alerts you see. Yes interference will cause issues, but this is an alert threshold and will not fix your interference, just tell you that you have interference due to hitting the X value.

*3. For creation of new function in Function --> Description entered the details and then in the form tab after enter details, I am getting the below error message when selecting SAVEbutton*

I can't get inline to work for this simple function.
I thought I understood [Inline] but my app says otherwise.
I've been using [Inline] with great success for a few months now; however, this quick snippet of code won't [Inline] properly. I know this because I've ran numerous tests with the function looped 100,000 times and I'll get around 400ms with [Inline] and 400ms without [Inline].
I could just be really sleepy and frustrated, but I thought I'd try and learn so that I wouldn't make the same mistake again. So here are the guts of the function in question:

Since posting I've actually played around with the removal of the extra function and it started to work properly. I don't understand why my Collision check was making the function ineligible for [Inline]...

Limit Mask Test Limit Trapezoid Profile
So to one of our proportional valves, we are going to use the gain scheduling set point profile to create a trapezoidal input current to the valve. This trapezoidal input represents one cycle for the rocker arm we are controlling (it is periodic and this profile is repeated for many cycles). I'm creating a fail-safe system and am wanting to create a limit profile that is essentially an offsetted trapezoid of +/- 1 mA. The largest and smallest trapezoids would be the constraints and the middle one would be the input to the system. I want it where if the input current exceeds this inner or outer trapezoid, the system goes into the safe state. I've tried using the Mask and Limit VI and defined my upper and lower limits by making 4 different points for each limit but when I give it my input signal and observe the tested signal, all I see is the input to the system with a horizontal line at y=0 which is the green colored limit. I can get the constant upper and lower limits to work but I'd really like a closer more defined constraint since we are controlling a very big structure. What am I doing wrong? I've attached a picture of the input to the system.

I believe the issue is that you do not have enough datapoints defining your upper and lower limits. You only placed coordinates for the vertices of each trapezoid. The Mask and Limit Testing VI will not automatically generate datapoints between these points it needs a full set of datapoints defining the whole graph.
Your input data has much more datapoints than the actual boundary you've defined, that's why it appears as a line at y = 0. It plots four points on a chart that probably that has much more data points on the input. You should generate trapezoidal signals and wire those signals into the upper and lower limit inputs of the express VI. That way you do not have to fill out all the datapoints manually.
Below I've attached an example LabVIEW project that shows how to do this. I used this example to create a subVI to generate a trapezoidal signal. It uses ramp functions to piece together an array of datapoints that looks like a trapezoid.
I think you should use the "Generate Trapezoid" subVI I included in my project. Generate the upper and lower trapezoids outside the while loop with the same amount of datapoints as you expect from your input data. This should save processing so you don't have to generate the waveform each loop iteration. It will look something like this:

DATE_CHECK_PLAUSIBILITY Check to see if a date is in a valid format for SAP. Works well when validating dates being passed in from other systems.
DATE_COMPUTE_DAY Returns a number indicating what day of the week the date falls on. Monday is returned as a 1, Tuesday as 2, etc.
DATE_GET_WEEK will return the week that a date is in.
DATE_IN_FUTURE Calculate a date N days in the future.
DAY_ATTRIBUTES_GET
Return useful information about a day. Will tell you the day of the week as a word (Tuesday), the day of the week (2 would be Tuedsay), whether the day is a holiday, and more.(provided by Francois Henrotte)
