Blending two faces together?

I selected someone's face and cut it to a new layer and moved it over someone elses face and I want to try and blend the two together to make them blend better. I added a mask to the cut layer and painted it a bit, though what else can I do? Any suggestions?

Filter > Liquify (with the proper Backdrop) might be an option in Photoshop to get a better fit.
Other than that, if a simple Warp is insufficient to properly align the various elements, one could split the image up into sensible segments to be able to achieve better alignment.

I'm an intermediate Photoshop user and this is my first post. I'm hoping to get some advice from an advanced user to achieve the following:
1) I have two seperate images...one of a scenic background and another of a person's face. I want to place the image of the person's face on top of the scenic background and blend them together so the person's face looks like a soft silhouette on the scenic background. I want to do this in an 'artful' way where the two images blend together with real chemistry. I tried using "overlay" mode on the facial image and fiddling with its layer opacity (which I thought would work) but the results look very contrived to me. Anyone know how to do this ?

Thank you John for the quick reply. I actually excerpted the facial image fairly well and I did use a feathered edge as well as a layer style called "Outer Glow". Both of these techniques helped. I'm just looking a way for these two images to have real chemistry together. I am designing a series of sympathy cards for a memorial service and I'm looking to marry these two images together in an artful way. Are there any 3rd party filters that combine photos together in a collage like this ? Although my collage is very simple (just two images). I have attached one sample background image here if you'd like to see what it looks like. I have the image of the Woman's face already cut out on a transparent background in a .psd file. I can't seem to post a PSD file here in the forum. So, I uploaded it to a website where it can be downloaded from the following location:

Blending two clips together

I have two video clips.
In the first clip I pick up a phone and have it in my hand.
In the second clip I have the phone in my hand and I put it down.
I want the two clips to line up so I can play the first clip followed immediately by the second clip. The problem is in the second clicp the phone is being held an additional 2 inches away from the camera. So the end of clip1 is very close to the beginning of clip 2, but still a little bit different and when you play them together there is a noticeable jerk between the two clips. What can I do?

There are several artistic ways to approach this. They mostly depend on the "timeline" in your script. If any time is to have passed, between the two Clips, I'd do a short Dip-to-Black between them. If the time is very close, then providing Handles (though the In & Out Points of the two Clips) and using a Cross-Dissolve would be a good one. There are some other Transitions that could work too, but I seldom use much besides a Butt-Cut, which you note is an abrupt "jump-cut," Dip-to-Black and Cross-Dissolve. Still, others can help you tell your story. Only experimentation will tell you what "feels" right.
One thing that you might also wish to do would be to do a J-Cut, or L-Cut with your Audio, so that the Audio from one Clip either plays through the Dip-to-Black (L-Cut for Clip 1 playing, and J-Cut for Clip 2 playing). I'd think about doing one, or the other, for any Transition also. Used properly, there is nothing wrong with the audience being able to hear something that they cannot see yet.

Is there anyway to blend two videos with iMovies

i was editing some videos using imovies, however, i couldnt figure out how to blend two videos together so that i dont have the gap or transitional space between the two individual video groups. please help me with this matter. i just want to know if it is possoble to that and how to do it.

I am working with Adobe Premiere 6 on a Windows 7 machine.
How can I blend two video clips where they join side by side in one movie?
I know how to place two or more video clips together in the same movie, but how can I give them a bit of a blend just where they join?
I have a PDF instruction manual and the built-in web browser instructions. In the instruction manual in "Chapter 7: Superimposing and Compositing" it talks about the transparency of any video clip, and I understand that... but I don't want to make one or the other video clip transparent anyplace except where the two video clips join together with perhaps a bit of overlap.
I'd like to make a little blur just where the two videos join in the middle... is this possible?

Aha that kind of blending.
Have not used 6.5 in a loooooooong time.
So this is from memory, hope i get this right.
Set the two clip on top of each other
Make a matte in Photoshop and superimpose this over the two clips.
Go to the Transparancy Settings and set the top clip in video 2 to Alpha key.

Blend two images in CS4

Hi, after taking two images of a landscape, one exposed for the foreground and another exposed for the sky. How do I open them each in a seperate layer so I can blend the two together. Giving me a correctly exposed image of foreground and sky. I dont want to do HDR just blend two images. I use CS4.
I should mention I use Aperture to manage my images and edit with CS4 by migrating the image from within Aperture....Many thanks for any help......Gerry

When I open two images in CS4 then try to drag one of them into the other document, it just opens up the second image as a new seperate background...I can switch between the two, but theyre seperate. I'd like to open the second image in the same layer as the first so I can brush the correctly exposed sky onto the overexposed sky.
Iv'e only used CS4 for editing images in the past so I am new to this technique of blending. My issue is I dont know how to open the two images I want to merge / blend ? so I can brush away the unwanted parts of the image....revealing the parts of the correctly exposed sky that I want to keep...
A pointer to a tutorial would be appreciated...

How do I blend two parts of the same image in PS CS5?

I'm hoping someone can help me with this, as I'm still relatively new to Photoshop...I'm a bit stuck.
I'm trying to construct a part of the image that wasn't there to begin with, using parts of the dress that are there.
This is a screenshot of what I'm sitting with:
I'm happy with the shape but now I just have to blend it all together so it looks natural.

What you could try is adding a mask and apply a gradient to that mask, or use a brush and paint an edge. Refine edge may help as well.

The Brush tool (Keyboard B) has several different brushes in the same slot. Right click on the brush icon and you will see them, or press B sequentially.
The Smart Brush tool (Keyboard F) has two items in the slot.
Since you did not provide reference to "the instructions", it is difficult to remedy the "confusion." that exists.
I suspect that the recipe calls for a mask, and painting with a black brush to mask out certain areas.
It would help if you post the instructions and what your goal is with more specificity.

How do I connect two lines together.

I have two lines at an angle but where the corner of the angle is supposed to be there is a little triangle missing. I tried joining the two lines together but when I hit join one line goes past the other.

There is no need to lock one of the paths, because you do not have to tediously select endpoints just to join paths. Doing so was necessary in Illustrator for most of its history, but it finally (decades behind other drawing programs) gained the ability to join paths at their nearest endpoints by just selecting the paths.
Undo (or cut) the unwanted join.
Black pointer: Select the left and right paths.
Join.
Alternativley, when drawing line art, it is not uncommon to set your default Graphic Style to use rounded endcaps. That negates the problem of the "missing triangle" (as you call it) appearance of coincident straight end caps.

Linking Two Folders Together

Hi,
I have a 13" MacBook Air Mid 2013, 128GB, 4GB RAM, 1.3 GHz, OS X 10.10 Yosemite.
When I put a folder in iCloud Drive, the folder is in iCloud Drive and on my Desktop. What I want to do is link the two folders together so when I save a file in the folder on my desktop, it puts it in the folder that's in iCloud Drive too. I hope I have explained this good enough.

When the two computers are on the same network, you should see the other computer appear in your sidebar in Finder. Click it, authenticate with your admin details (from the other computer), and you now have access to its files.

So you would like to connect GBIC to SFP, you need Multimode Duplex Fiber Optical cable with SC-LC connectors. If SFP to SFP you need the same cably type with LC-LC connectors.

Linking two accounts together

Are you able to link two accounts together. For example, I have had an account for a long time, but now my husband has one as well as my son. My son is currently signed in with my account but I would like to give him his own as well as share what I have with my husband.

Sorry, but it is not possible to merge iTunes Store accounts. You can, however, use content from multiple iTunes Store acounts on any given system or device. You just have to authorize the device to each account. You will have to use the account though which any item was purchased for redownloading, app updates, etc.

Joining two files together

I'm kinda new to Java, but i'm trying to create a program which joins 2 files together. It works fine with .txt files, but when i try to join two .wmv files, only the one it processes first will show, though the output file will have the size of the two files together. Here's my code for joining them together:

Just because you put 2 files in the same file doesn't mean some application can understand that it's 2 files in 1. Meaning, the player of the merged WMV can't know that there's 2 files and that it should play both back to back. You have to read the WMV files knowing the WMV format and then generate 1 file that combines the 2, which typically would include updating header information in the file. Java's I/O classes are not going to provide that sort of thing for you.
