Blind carbon copy in email templates?

Hello,
how can I use blind carbon copy (bcc) in email templates?
I added the field to the E-Mail Template und modify the waveset.dtd, but this is not enough.
How can I use a BCC to an email template on IDM?

Information Broadcasting using BCC (blind carbon copy)

Hallo Forums,
Is there somebody can answer my question ?
Because of some security reason, I would like to send the Information into reciever through email as BCC (blind carbon copy) reciever.
can you tell me what should I do ?

I do not think we have any option available.
You can send it to a mail id and from there you can schedule it as BCC.

Blind Carbon Copy in Mail 1.3.11

Is the option to send messages to multiple recipients as a blind carbon copy available in Mail version 1.3.11? I'm asking this for my father who has an eMac running Panther 1.3.9. I'm using Tiger and a different version of Mail than his and I've so far been unable to determine if and how.

Yes it is available.
You can set the blind carbon copy (Bcc) field to appear by default. With a compose window open, choose View > Bcc Header.

RPTARQEMAIL and "blind" carbon copy sending (bcc email)

Hello everyone,
In our fairly-standard Employee Services and workflow, we use RPTARQEMAIL run as a batch job nightly to bundled up and send email notifications to all Requestors whose leave has been approved that day.
However, when the user receives the email they see ALL of the Requestors for that day appended together in the "To:" field of their email. They do not want this to happen as they see it as a breach of privacy, particularly if it was personal leave.
The email is sent via standard SAPConnect (SAP Business Workplace) mechanisms, using a Batch user called HRBATCH, and goes from our ECC6 system to our internal MS Exchange server, and thus to the internal users' email box.
We are looking at two options but are unsure of the best way to proceed:
1. Option 1-- Change the HRBATCH profile to limited it to send email to one recipient at a time, or
2. Option 2-- Change the way RPTARQEMAIL is calling the email to force it to use BCC: instead of TO:
However...after a length investigation we are not sure how to do this.

Folks, forgot to up date this Post to advise that with the assistance of SAP Support this problem was fairly easily solved. Refer the attached Message extracts:

Spam and Blind Carbon Copy Bcc:

Apparently one of the ways spam is sent and bypasses filter rules is to put fake email addresses in the Cc: header and your real email address in the Bcc: header. I set the rules filter to only accept an email when the To: header or Cc: header has my real email address listed. Apparently, the Mail filter actually reads the Bcc: header as if it is the Cc: header since spam emails addressed to nonsense addresses keep getting through.
Is there a way around this problem. Can apple adjust the Mail filtering system, or do I have to block the Cc: header as well to actually prevent Bcc: addresses from being delivered to me?

I may have a much simpler rule to deal with Spam and Junk mail that you want to try:
If (any) Sender is not in my address book
Move Message to Junk Mail (a folder created on my Mac)
Stop evaluating rules.
Since these mailers are certainly not in your address book, you only have to give it a quick glance to see if any of these messages could be from somebody you know, and not yet in your address book. Then I delete them all, without looking at them.
Of course this requires you to keep all your known contacts in the address book. It works great for me, just wanted to share this with you.

Problems with sending carbon copy and blind copy with gmail

I recently started using Safari and would like to continue as it is fast. But have problems with it when I use Gmail that I don't have in Firefox or Internet Explorer. For example when I want to forward and email to several people using the blind copy or carbon copy feature - each time I click a name i have to move the cursor back into the box manually because each time you add a name the cursor jumps to the subject line automatically. I forward a lot of email, How can I make using these features work with Safari? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I would delete the account on the iPod an recreate the account. It is easy to make an error or enter the setting and hard to find the error.

Email Templates - Addressing as CC and BCC?

How do you address an email so that it the recipient email shows in the CC or BCC box?
Is there a way to set up email templates so that a "copied" or "blind copied" recipient sees their email in the corresponding CC: or BCC: field? (I am trying to get around the issue of addressing email directly to Customers when I really want to Copy or Blind Copy them. Is this possible? Using RC2009.1.

Can no longer select text in email template or read only field with mouse using IE or Firefox?

I can no longer select text in email template or read only field using my mouse in IE or Firefox anymore. We are using CRM 2011 rollup 18 applied with IE 11 and the latest version of Firefox. We only applied roll up 18 in Feb when this issue began.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(You also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now")
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first) using either of these. While viewing a page on the site:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
These features rely on JavaScript, and it sounds as though you have scripting enabled if you get (the wrong) color changes. Some add-ons might alter the way scripts operate, so a standard diagnostic to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings) is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [[Backing up your information]]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode ([[Safe Mode]]) using

We have been having issues with links on our email templates. Some of the links point to the following URL:

Hi Wesley,
This is rather late, but we've seen the same thing frequently (and I believe can replicate it). It's caused when you a creating a new email by copying the content of an existing one with a name space in it.
Upon copying, the link gets scrambled. The approach we use is to copy the email in to a new template, then strip out all of the URL links and add them back in.

Sending Carbon Copy using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1

I am using SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' to send out email letting people know a direct deposit has been posted to their bank. My problem is that the Acct department wants a carbon copy sent to their email address for each email that is sent. Looking at this function, there is a line called
RECEIVERS = IT_RECLIST. When I take this thru debug, I see IT_RECLIST defined as TYPE TABLE OF SOMLRECI1. When I see the fields in IT_RECLIST, there is a field called copy, I assume I set this flag = 'X' to let the function know I want a carbon copy, correct? Also, I am confused as to where the carbon copy email address would go, because all I see is a field called RECEIVER that is holding the recipients email. Can you guys set me straight here?

u can't send a carbon copy...instead while sending the email, the same can be sent to 2 or more people at a time. Add the email address to the existing list and it will trigger same email to the department.

Why does my email template appear differently in various email programs?

I have created a CSS-style based email template using Dreamweaver CS6. The template looks great within Dreamweaver, on Internet Explorer and in Outlook 2003. However, when viewed in Outlook 2010, Hotmail and Gmail, the template is distorted. If I set my containers using pixel size, why would it be different when viewed in other email programs?

Make a carbon copy of your drive/folder with Terminal!

I always see people throwing carbon copy disk programs around like no tomorrow. I've wondered to myself "why?". The termainl in Mac OSX can do it out of the box and do it for free and, for more advanced users, you can start getting rather fancy with the commands for fine tuning. Type man cp in the terminal for more info.
Say I want to make a carbon copy of my Home folder to my external disk called "Backup USB" so I can restore it later to a new drive.
Firstly, open Terminal.app found in Applications > Utilities. Make sure the External Disk is plugged in first before continuing.
Now I simply type in the following command:
cp -pvR /Users/benanderson "/Volumes/Backup USB/benanderson"
Once typed, press the return key and let the computer do its job.
I'll run through the command so people know what each section does
cp: this is the command for "copy"
-pvR: these are "flags" and tell the computer how to perform the action.
p: this flag stands for "preserve" and keeps all the file attributes intact. A file or folders owner, group, permissions and time stamp will remain the same. Say I have a file in the finder with a "created" and "modified" date of 8th September 2011 (you can see these by single clicking a file an pressing cmd+i) - if I was to copy this with the finder, the created and modified date of the copy would change to 17th December 2011 (today). By specifying the -p flag, the copy will keep the 8th of September creation and modify date. This is very important for system files that MacOSX has to keep track of.
v: verbose, it basically tells you what file is currently copying so you're not copying blind wondering what its doing and when it will finish. Its a progress bar, basically.
R: it will mimic the directory structure of the folder you are copying. without the -R flag, if you ask cp to copy a folder, it will skip the folder because the folder is not a file. With -R, it will copy the folder, the files in the folder and any folders within the folder and so on.
/Users/benanderson: this is my home folder. Your name will vary, obviously.
"/Volumes/Backup USB/benanderson": The destination of the copy on the disk "Backup USB". I need double quotes around the destination because "Backup USB" as a space in it. Without the quotes, the computer would read it as "/Volumes/Backup" and stop there, which is invalid and would cause an error, stopping the copy from working.
To restore from backup, just do it again in reverse order.
cp -pvR "/Volumes/Backup USB/benanderson" /Volumes/benanderson
Hit return and set it on its way!
If you're feeling sassy, make a carbon copy of your Macintosh HD onto another HDD, a carbon copy of your home folder from your desktop computer onto your laptop computer over the network (I do this with my iTunes folder every few months), carbon copy your HDD onto a Disk Image so you can "flash" other HDDs from disk utility. Carbon copy of your time machine or time capsule if moving to a larger disk. The cp command is increadibly useful, free, easy and powerful - its most likely what the Carbon Copy programs are doing under the hood, so why not cut out the middle man?
Just a nice tip for everyone interested!

Carbon Copy Cloner is free; its tasks are editable and restrictable; it works via a simple user interface; and it works without error. There is next to no learning curve involved, no need to learn Terminal's syntax, and none of the dangers that an error in syntax can cause when using Terminal.
Did I mention CCC is free?

Email templates using data from iWork Numbers spreadsheet

As a photographer, when I get a call from a client to book a shoot, my first step is to open my bookings spreadsheet in Apple's Numbers and input the client's info into pre-determined columns: name, phone number, job date, job scheduled arrival time, job address, job city, travel distance, details regarding the shoot, and then I have a list of columns that specify costs (cost for work, taxes, travel, etc--automatically calculated via functions in spreadsheet).
Immediately after I insert this information into the bookings spreadsheet, I open another file (a text file)--a text template I created to confirm bookings--and fill in the blanks using the information from the spreadsheet. Once that info has been filled out, I copy and paste the entire text file into an an email and email it to the client for his confirmation/records. The email template text (txt) file I use is included below.
Question: Is it possible to create a script that will read the specified row in my Numbers booking spreadsheet (ie, the row where I input the information in the spreadsheet) and have the information inserted into the separate text confirmation template (apple pages or text or email?) at specified areas within the text? If so, can someone help me make something like this? Here's the template I use:

I've tried to change the "Template.txt" file into an rtf so that I can apply bolding and underlining to certain sections (ie, bolding to the entries like client_name, job_date, etc... and underlining to the "Steps"), and I changed the script from Template.txt to Template.rtf to reflect this change... but when I run a script I get a bug... is there any way to use an rtf file in place of the txt?

Email Templates and Date and Time in GMT Format

How do I send the date and time captured on the service form to the customer and not how it renders in GMT when sent in the email template
Solution: Copy the service form field into a hidden field. Reference the hidden field in the email template and it appears in the email template as entered on the form.

But what about a system generated date/time like trying to notify a task assignee of the due date/time of their task?
