Blinking dash problem on Macbook 2008 unibody after installation Windows 7

Hello everybody,
I installed Windows 7 (professional x86) with bootcamp (3.0.1), installation good, but when I want to boot on Windows 7, I have a blinking dash and I can't do anything.
I have a macbook 2008 unibody, last version of mac osx.
Before I had windows XP and I don't had any problem.
Need help plz.
Any suggestions ?

Having problems with Labview 7.0 after installing Windows XP Pro

After updating Windows XP Pro from Windows 98, my programs give me the following error:

I tried reinstalling Labview 7.0, but to no avail.

I performed all the windows xp updates when I installed xp.
Our computer has labview 6.0 and 6.1 on it. I thought maybe they were causing a problem, so I tried uninstalling them. I downloaded msiblast and tried to remove Labview 6.0 and 6.1, but since they used to be on a network, and the university does not carry those programs anymore, they gave me errors. I was able to uninstall 7.0 and reinstall it, but it still gave me the same error as described in the original post.
I went into the registry and removed 6.0 and 6.1, but it still gives me the same error.
I need a way of removing 6.0 and 6.1 so that I can do a clean install of 7.0.

Problem with switchable graphic cards after installing windows 10

Dear support, after installing windows 10 i lost option to switch my graphic cards. I already have installed new drivers for win10 64-bit. But it doesn't work. New drivers which i downloaded here: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+10+-+64 doesn't support my graphic card. So i don't know what to do to get right drivers and be able to switch my graphic cards. Thanks for any help.

I understand that you installed Windows 10 and that switchable graphics is not working for you. I am happy to help. Unfortunately this is not something that AMD can help with, as it is a customized driver for your notebook. Did you do the Windows 10 installation as an upgrade and if so which operating system did you upgrade from? The existing HP drivers can be found here: HP Pavilion g6-1004ev Notebook PC but they are for Windows 7 or 8 depending on your choices. You could try those and install it using compatibility mode and see if that works. How to: Install and Update drivers in Windows 10 - answers.microsoft.com Let me know if that works for you.

Gaming-Graphics problem with MacBook White Unibody (Late 2009)

Hello there, this is going on:
When I open any game (like call of duty 4) it seems to work ok, 90-125 fps as it should be (800x600 minimum graphics), and this happens the first 5-10 minutes i'm playing, then it starts to seriously lag itself, FPS goes down to 30-40 fps with a veeery poor performance, unplayable, for like 5-10 minutes, and then it starts to work fine again. I can't exactly explain it, but I don't see the fans running faster, they stay steel, the MacBook starts to heat a little and that's all I can tell.
I though this was a Mac OS X problem with the video card, but same thing happens on Boot Camp, with Windows 7, with ANY game i'm playing. Then I tried to restart the PRAM and SMC, but I don't have any solution.
Is this a Hardware problem? Is this happening just to me or is there anybody who has this problem, too? Help! and thanks in advance.

I have had this problem for the last year with iRacing and lately F1 2010.
In good news, I seem to have solved it last week. I did some googling and saw a few posts that suggested it could be due to the GPU overheating. To test this I downloaded and installed Speedfan in windows and smcFanControl in OSX.
Both apps will enable you to monitor the temp of your CPU and GPU. I noticed generally in OSX the GPU hits a max of around 72 degrees Celsius. When I switched to windows and fired up iRacing and then F1 2010 I noticed it was all fine till the GPU hit around 90 degrees Celsius. At that point it the FPS drop kicked in and I went from 70 odd FPS in iRacing to 20 FPS.
To get around the problem, You can turn up the fan speed, which will stop the GPU from getting so hot. Unfortunately for a reason I don't understand SpeedFan will not allow you to control the speed of the fan in windows. So you need increase the speed to 5000 - 6000 RPM using smcFanControl in OSX. If you restart then fire up Windows the fan speed will stay at the higher rate you have set.
Since I started doing that my FPS drop problems seem to have disappeared.
The problem is if you then put windows to sleep, when you wake it up again the fan will go back to the default speed. So if you need shut the lid of your laptop, you have to restart to Mac OSX, then set the fan speed, the restart to windows. Painful but better than FPS drops.
If anyone has any other thoughts on any of this stuff I would love to hear it.

Did 10.7.4 break the wifi ? macbook 2008 unibody

After updating from 10.7.3 to 10.7.4 the wifi cannot turn on anymore. GOng inside the system report it shows the wifi there.
It seems like the update messed up the firmware ? I two do two fresh reinstalls to confirm this. One the first, iupdated 10.7 to 10.7.4 with a combo update
and wifi stopped working. One the second i went to 10.7.3 combo update and it works fine.
One thing to notice is that if i try to reset the SMC and PRAM the wifi work on the first boot. Then after restart it stops.
Anyone else out there ?

Trackpad Problem on MacBook Pro 2011 with bootcamp windows 7

I am running Windows 7 in bootcamp on my 13 inch MBP 2011.
I am really pleased how smooth the installation went and everything so far works as it was on my old windows mashine.
Just the trackpad is not running very smooth.
I reduced the scrolling down speed so the scrolling with two fingers is quiet alright now. But I have a problem with this touch to click function. Very often when I write I touch the trackpad with the palm of one hand and this results in actions like my text is continued in another line or suddenly whole paragraphs are highlighted or any other odd behaviour.
I thought to take the touch to click function off but I can't even find the setting in the windows control panel.
There are only the pure standard driver settings available in the control.
Can anybody tell me if there is a solution? Actuallly I like this touch to click, it's working very well when I use the trackpad. I know in other machines you can set a function that it's regonized if you put your finger on a trackpad or it's your palm whilst your writing, or the trackpad disables itself when the keyboard is used.
Is there maybe a better driver for the new MacBook trackpad under windows seven...or do I even have maybe a wrong driver onboard?

I have found now some setting so that I can first at all live with it. Nevertheless i would be very thankful when Apple would work the touchpaddriver over so that it works smoother. Its such an nice device and the big touchpad is great but its realy working very poor under bootcamp.
Maybe you try my settings:
First at all start bootcamp from windows system, and go to the trackpadsettings. Take out the touch for klick. You can forget working with this as when you write it just hops wherever it wants.. as I wrote before, youre suddenly write on in a completly different paragraph...that impossible to use with this settings.
Its a shame as acutally using this touch to click in other applications than writing is very smooth and good.
Other notebooks having an automaticle regonizion function which notices when your accidently put your wrist or palm on the touchpad whilst using the keyboard. Thats certanly what is needed here es well, especially because of the huge touchpad.
Next you have to go to the windows mouse driver which is not in bootcamp but in the standard Windows system settings and adjust the scroll speed down to 1 on each of the two functions there.
This then takes the overdose of speed away when you use two fingers on the touchpad to scroll.
Having it set to more than 1 is not usable either.
These are the setting how I have build myself a workaround for the moment.
But as I said...please please Apple work at this touchpaddriver together with Microsoft to get more out of this wonderful trackpad.

SUP 2.0 Installation problem -SUP services dont start after installation

Hi,
I have installed a licensed version of "SUP 2.0 Personal developer 32 bit" on my machine from https://sybase.subscribenet.com. I installed 4 RAR files (sup0200_dev1_win to sup0200_dev4_win) of around 1.66 GB. I have unzipped all the sub-folders inside after unzipping the 4 main RAR files.
I followed the installation steps and installed all components on a single host.
Everything was fine while installing but I am facing these problems:
1. When I click Start > Programs > Sybase > Unwired Platform > Start Unwired Platform Services... nothing starts.
2. When I open Sybase Unwired WorkSpace I dont see any "Start Development" or any "WorkSpace Navigator" or anything specific to SUP Workspace. Only specific to Eclipse is what I see.
3. Most of the folders in the installed path is not there or are empty. For e.g. The folder Servers\MessagingServer\Data is empty.
For another information I see some error in the installation log like:

The strange thing is during installation the setup does not throw any error and I go to Finish the setup. Also I am able to successfully uninstal.

Do you see the services as being installed? What OS are you installing on?
I had to do a reinstall one time to get everything up and running, I also had the issue of the services not being properly installed (got a successful message after my first install but that in general seems to mean very little). I then carefully went through the prerequisites again and on second try things worked correctly.

Problem recognizing Adobe XI Pro after installation

I recently purchased Adobe Acrobat XI Pro after trying it out for 2 weeks. It worked fine for 2 weeks, but when the original 4 week trial period ended, I got shut out of the program everytime I tried to use it. I tried installing on my laptop, but got an error message saying that although my serial number was valid (sent via order AD008377675), it did not match any product on my computer. I then deleted all copied of the program on both my laptop and desktop and re-installed today. I am STILL getting that error message: "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer." And before you ask< YES, I did enter the number properly. What the problem is is that ADOBE DID NOT INCLUDE ACROBAT XI PRO in the DROP DOWN LIST OF APPLICATIONS? So how can it be verified if you don't provide the right choices?

The message you are getting is typically related to someone trying to install and upgrade version on a machine that has no previous version. Usually you would be asked for the serial number of the qualifying product as well as the current version.

Problem in starting using SAP after installation

I installed the 'Web application server' from SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Java Trial Version.
But when I am starting the server, nothing happens.
Is the problem because I have not installed SAP Netweaver Developer Studio. How do i install that?

Problem starting Acrobat 6.0 after installation of Adobe Reader 10

Every time i start acrobat 6.0 i am getting the following error:
there was an error while loading the plug-in HTML2PDF.api
there was an error while loading the plug-in PPKLite.api
Worked fine with adobe reader 9
I have the last update of Acrobat 6.0.6

Problems in figuring out MySQL after installation on Mac Pro, Mac OS X Version 10.7.5

I recently installed MySQL on my Mac Pro and seem to be having difficulty understanding how it works. Also, I am a beginner in MySQL. I have tried loads of websites to figure out how I needed to start using it, sadly none helped. Like for starters changing the root password or the first thing I should do after installing the package. You could say I have absolutely no idea and don't want to copy paste commands at random in the terminal and mess things up.
It would be great if you could help me understand this better.
