Blinking Lights / Touch Screen Blank / B210a

A couple of times for no known reason my 'all in one' B210a has shut it's touch screen down (to dark with no way to touch and re light) with the Power button blinking.  Seems as though it has gone into 'sleep mode' however niether touching the touch screen
or pushing the power button will wake up or turn off.  I find myself in these times having to COLD BOOT (bad idea) by unplugging device.  At reboot the device obviouisly tell's me I'm a bad boy for unplugging however this is the only way I can get the printer
back online.  This has happened while my PC was turned off and while it was turned off.
Any help out there?
Thank you,
Tony

Why is my ipod touchs screen blank?

how do you mean? does it not turn on? or is it on but nothing booting up?
If it doesn't turn on is it possible that the battery is totally drained? if so, charge it fora  while and see if that fixes it. If it doesn't boot up you can try resetting it - hold down the sleep and home keys, past the red power down slider and until you see the silver apple logo come up.
You can also try restoring it with iTunes.
If that doesn't work then you may need to take it into the Apple store and have them take a look at it.

  • 13" MBP died. Only a black blank screen and blinking lights are visible. Any ideas??

My friends MBP died the other night.  He put it on sleep mode one night and the following morning, and when he went to turn it on the following morning it would't.  Only a black blank screen and blinking lights.  There is no sound or anything.  BTW it is a mid-2010 MBP, no added hardware, everything stock. It wasn't custom configured, and I believe he upgraded to Lion earlier this year.  I read somewhere that depending how quickly the lights are blinking could indicate a specific problem.  Is this true? He is planning on taking it an Apple store, but figured we would try here first since it is a bit of a drive, and the warranty has expired. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  We are just trying to get an idea of what we are dealing with. Thank you!

    Looks like hardware problem.
Apple can fix it. Take it to Apple as soon as possible.

  • Mac Pro light blinks on boot up... screen blank

Ever since I installed Boot Camp on my Mac Pro, I get a blinking light above the power button on boot ups. This mostly happens after reboots, and I have to leave my computer alone for several hours before I try again. Only after letting the computer sit turned off for a while will it then boot up with out a blinking light error.
Has anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it? It doesn't blink as fast as when you update your firmware.... it's a slower blink on every second. It's very frusterating and I have no idea what's going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,

First thing to try is resetting your SMC:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=304123
    Also, your PRAM:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=2238
Additionally, you may want to try booting while holding down the command key, this will allow you to select your boot disk.
Also, that blinking actually indicates may indicated an error code. One blink is for invalid memory. Three blinks indicates failed memory. Check your User Guide for more info. If you've installed any upgrades lately, you may also consider removing them for the time being.

  • HP Photosmart 7510 touch screen, power light and wifi lights won't turn on

I bought my HP Photosmart 7510 over a year ago, just past warranty. I've printed less than 50 pages total at home and only 3 photos. Just as of two days ago, the touch screen decided not to work anymore, and the lights that usually come on next to the power button and wifi icon won't come on either. However, when I turn it on, the same tones sound out and the scanner and ink jets move around in their usual set-up. I've troubleshooted with trying several different ways of restarting it, but to no avail.
HP tech support phone line was a joke, I got told by the first representative (before telling him which product I had or even offering to troubleshoot) that he was going to send a repairman to my house for $149. Over the price of my printer. So I tried calling back and spoke with a young woman who, when I asked if she would help me troubleshoot my printer, said "you can't troubleshoot that, only software". Then insisted that I pay $130 for a new printer. When I asked to be transferred to her supervisor, I was yelled at, told to again buy a new HP printer, and pushed off the phone.
I have had several HP products, I always seek them out for the brand name and have trusted the merchandise. But one year of life in a product is just silly. And unforturnately, I won't be able to convince myself to buy another one for that kind of lifespan unless I can fix this. I know I'm not the first one with this issue, is there a RECALL I'm not aware of? How can I get this puppy working again?

    Hello cbroomhead,
I am sorry to hear about your Photosmart 7510's touch screen showing blank and not working. I understand you can still hear the printer warming up when you power it on. I would like to post you a troubleshooting guide below to try in hopes to correct the issue.
If you have tried all of the steps and the screen is still blank, you can also try another power cable if you have one.
    Blank Control Panel Display
If you are able to have the screen come back on, also check for a Firmware Update.
    I hope this helps!

  • TS1538 iPod Touch with blank screen that doesn't shut off and not recognized by iTunes?

I opened the app "MyTown 2", and it stayed on the opening screen for about 5 minutes - WAYYY too long! So I tried to close the app. A slight grayscale sort of film "slid" down over the opening screen, and then it went to this light gray, completely blank screen. It's been that way for over an hour - no matter what I do, can't do a hard shut down, and the device is not recognized by iTunes at all. It's completely DEAD!!!! Is there any hope? Anyone have a clue?

Following the instructions in this procedure to the letter. Here they are, with emphasis on some easily overlooked requirements:
Disconnect the USB cable from the iPod Touch, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.If you cannot turn off the device using the slider, press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time. When the device turns off, release only the Sleep/Wake button.
Continue pressing and holding the Home button while you reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.Note: If you see the "low battery" screen, let the device charge for at least ten minutes to ensure that the battery has some charge, and then start with step 2 again.
Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears (iTunes icon and USB connector) release the Home button.
If necessary, open iTunes. You should see the "recovery mode" alert ("iTunes has detected a phone in recovery mode").
Use iTunes to restore the device.
If you do not see the "Connect to iTunes" screen, try these steps again. If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen but the device does not appear in iTunes, see this article and its related links.
Select the device in iTunes and choose "restore from backup".
If you still can't get it to work, you have done all you can and only Apple will be able to help.

  • HP PSC 2355 Blue screen of Death and Error message/ blinking lights.

Hello, I have a HP PSC2355 that we recently moved, after we moved it started randomly locking up with the Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD), it would give an error:0X880529ec on the BSOD, further down the screen were the characters 1:H+x?+  The (ON) light was Blinking Green, the (!) light was blinking orange.  This will happen regardless if the PC was on or not, it will happen when trying to print, sometimes only getting 1" of print at the top of the page.  Currently running Windows XP, SP3 connected via USB.  I highly doubt it is a PC issue as it will happen when trying to use it as a standalone copier.  Sounds internal to me, I do have electronics experience ( I repair televisions )  If someone has any ideas, let me know.....
I might also add, you dont have to be printing for the error to crop up, you can just plug it in and wait, later you will see the BSOD and the blinking lights.

Well, decided to try to print from another computer, d/l the smaller driver only package (26meg), did a fresh install after finally getting the printer to stay on for a few minutes, it took forever on the first part of 8 on the installer (cable already plugged in), and it has been on for many hours now, printed many things, yet to have an error.  Dont know if the driver installation did anything with the firmware on the unit or not.
    Differences:
    Celeron Laptop (virus/trojan free) now
Was on a P4 desktop that had not been so lucky with the trojan/viruses.
Upstairs on my dining room table now
Was in basement in wife's scrapbooking room.
    Dunno, time will tell.......

Hello. Today, I was updating my iPod Touch 4th Generation to iOS 6. I unplugged the iPod when it was during the installation because it appeared to be frozen. Now the iPod is stuck at a light blue screen even after I reset it. How do I fix it?

You will need to do a DFU restore by holding the home and power buttons down (while the device is plugged in to your computer) until the device's screen goes black and as soon as the screen goes black, count down from 3 and release the power/sleep button, but keep holding down the home button. Then, iTunes will say the iPod needs to be restored. The restore process will take some time and even though the iPod may appear to be frozen, don't interrupt the restore.

Why does My iPod touch screen keep going blank with lines and colours?

You may have a hardware problem.  To help determine do the following in order:
    - Reset:
Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Restore the iPod fom backup via iTunes
    - Restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod
If still problems you likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Galaxy Note 2 blank touch screen data recovery

Got a new Note II because I had insurance, but the old touch screen is completely broken (blank). I was hoping to transfer data to my PC via USB, but is there ANY way to get to the data with no screen interface?

First thing first, do you have "USB Debugging" enabled?
If so, you can use ADB to access the phone via a PC
I had a completely smashed Note II screen before, nothing worked at all with my fingers, but the S-Pen worked fine!
(Try using an MHL adapter and connect it via HDMI to a monitor, if the screen shows up you can try the pen)

My ipod touch screen froze on a blank white page and won't let me connect to itunes what to do?

It works for many users. In some cases the white screen is due to a hardware problem and there is nothing that one can do short of getting someonet to know what they are doing and take the iPod apart andmaybe fix the hardware problem.

  • IPhone 4: screen blinks rapidly and goes blank

For several days now my phone's screen will start blinking rapidly then go blank. First noticed this after disconnecting from my computer after a night of recharge. Now it happens at random times, but several times a day. I cannot restart the iPhone in this condition; the only thing that works (and it works every time) is a reset. So I can always get back up and running. But this need to reset several times a day seems odd. Any ideas?

Ten days or so back, the Apple store gave me a new iPhone 4 because my original one I stood in line for seven hours to get would simply go dark with no screen blinking. Now my new one is doing the rapid blink bit and sometimes eventually goes blank but at other times seems to keeps blinking until I can shut down and reboot. On a couple of occasions it appeared to be cycling through different apps that either were, or had recently been, open. The only common trigger event I have identified is unplugging the USB or headphones, but that is less than 50% reliable trigger event.
On the theory it might be related to an application, I have been scrupulous about updating all my apps and I have gotten rid of some that have not been updated since iOS 4 was released, but I could easily have missed some. Other than the apps, the only thing common to both iPhones is the SIM card?????
I have another appointment at the Genius Desk, but the first available slot when I made it Wednesday night is Wednesday of next week. I have just tried your reset all settings idea but I am not canceling next week's Genius Desk appointment yet. Hopefully I will be able to cancel because your "fix" worked.

  • Web pages blanked out by light blue screen T510

I also have a blue screen problem.
Web pages are often, but not always, blanked out by a light blue screen.
This happened while I was writing the previous sentence.
The immediate remedy is to click on another tab, and then click back.
But I would like to solve the problem permanently. It is irritating - and unprofessional - on such an expensive computer.
    Anyone have any ideas?
Any drivers to download? (I solved the fuzzy font problem by downloading a driver, but I can't find one for this)
Moderator edit: Added detail to subject.

Sure sounds browser related.  There is a small chance it's browser vs graphics driver somehow.
If you are running FireFox (4 in particular) what happens if you turn off the "use hardware accelleration if available" option in the browser?
This is a real WAG, so I don't expect it to pan out.
