Blinking red light while in docking base
What does this mean? I don't think it is charging because it will do this all night. Used to be just fine. I haven't been able to find any discussion around a slow blinking red light on the Shuffle...it flashes on and off at about .5 Hz
Ideas? Tried it on a bunch of computers and even a wall charger. Is the battery done? (At only 9 months!)
well, i sort of managed to get the shuffle to an apple authorized repair centre here in bangalore, india where they infact had the firmware updated to the latest and since the charge indicator was showing a red, the executive at the shop suggested that the unit was really low on charge and needed a minimum of 4 hours of charging. Upon charging the unit for more than 6 hours or so, the charging indicator still blinks red(when charging). i am able to play songs for the time-being but it seems the green light is totally conked out.
does anyone know of a repair shop of ipod shuffle in india. the apple dealer was saying its best to discard the shuffle when having problems like this since its best to go in for a new shuffle. i do have another shuffle that cant be repaired:(

Hi guys!
In advance, thanks for your help! So here is my problem and I hope you guys can help a young gal out! I dropped my blackberry and it hasn't worked since. It wont turn on but it will for a few minutes, then will randomly shut off and blink like 2 times in a row in perfect intervals. After it turns off... it will not come back on no matter what. I have tried a different charger and even bought a new battery to put in it... But nothing has changed. Its still the same red light! PLEASE help me... Is there anything I can do that I haven't tried, before taking it to a repair shop and spending a bunch of money for them to tell me they can't fix it?!
THANKS SO MUCH AGAIN!
---Alex <3This may not work if the drop caused some physical damage, but normally for a black or white screen only, and/or the blinking red light:
1) Make sure you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/
2) On your PC, go to Start > Run and copy and paste the following line exactly (meaning with the quotation marks):
"c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe" /nojvm
3) The Application Loader Wizard will appear -- click "Next."
4) In the "Connection:" drop-down menu, you should see "USB-PIN: UNKNOWN". Click the "Next" button.
5) You should then see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Hit Next and Finish and you are well on your way to getting your Blackberry back to life. Just don't disconnect anything and let the lengthy process finish completely.
NOTE: If you do not see a list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead see the message "The Blackberry Desktop Software does not have Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator," then you must download Blackberry's Operating System for your carrier and device.
http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/BlackBerry_Operating_System_Downloads
Just select the appropriate carrier and network type, select your Blackberry model from the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the above steps again and you should be on the right path.

After upgrade attempt for 8310, device will not restart -- only blinking red light
Problem: I tried to upgrade the device software to 4.5, and now THE DEVICE WILL NOT RESTART AT ALL. Not with a hard reset. Not using the SIM and battery from my 8310 and putting it in hers. Nothing. Just a red light that blinks in a pattern: two quick blinks, then a pause; two quick blinks, then a pause, etc.
Background: This 8310 had vers. 4.2.2 device software, and something like 2.6 on the desktop. I downloaded/upgraded to 4.6 for the desktop and 4.5 for the device from the AT&T site. The Desktop manager prompted me to install the new device software... looking good. After several minutes, I got an "unknown error" message and it stopped the install.Following a support article, I uninstalled reinstalled both updates, but then the problem occurred: no NOTHING happens on the device screen at all, just the blinking red light when the device is plugged in.
The AT&T store tells me this is about the tenth "dead" Curve he's seen in about a week, apparently all occurring when folks have attempted a software updgrade. Any thoughts/help to offer?
Please help!

HELP! Double blinking red light
I was in the middle of upgrading the software on my curve 8330, the software stopped doing anything, and now my phone is off and just has a double blinking red light.
I figure its now dead, but how can i fix this using my mac?
I see plenty of instructions on how to load a new OS using a PC, but none for a mac
Any help would be greatly appreciated!Welcome to the forums
It seems you may have wiped the OS due to the accidental shut down. Try pulling your battery out and reinserting it to see if the phone boots up. If not, see how to restore a bricked blackberry: http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101-lecture-12-how-reload-operating-system-nuked-blackberry
If you have a recent backup, you can load it onto the phone once you are done.

I have a Samsung Network Extender, model SCS-2U01, and for the past two weeks, the SYS light has gone from solid blue to a blinking red light, disconnecting me from my business calls. In reading the forums, it was mentioned that Verizon had to reset something on their end to fix the issue. Would you be able to confirm if something needs to be reset to fix the issue? Thank you!
First, try the normal stuff: power cycle your modem, router, and NE allowing time for each component to stabilize before turning on the next in sequence modem > router > NE. If necessary, try resetting your modem and router. If it still doesn’t work verify it is listed in MyVerizon and then calling Verizon Wireless Customer Service at (800) 922-0204. Good luck!

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Please try this sequence...note that, throughout the entire 4h15m process, your BB must remain directly connected to a known-good wall charger (not PC USB, not a cradle):
With the battery inside, connect your BB to the wall charger
Leave it alone for 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
Remove the battery
Wait 15 minutes
Insert the battery
Wait another 2 hours, no matter what the LED or the display does
This has been known to "kick start" some BBs.
It is also possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:
Obtain an known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens
The results of this will indicate if it's your BB or your battery that has the problem. Note carefully please that "new" and "know good" are not necessarily the same things. While rare, a "new" battery certainly could be defective. Rather, the simplest (and least costly, btw) method to conduct this test is to find someone with an identical BB who has no issues...trade batteries and see what happens.
Good luck and let us know!

Lumia 520 red light while making/receiving calls
I noticed there is a small red light blinking on top of screen just near the speaker, where you hear the voice while calling. This happens while making/receiving call, a small red light blinks/stays on near speaker.
Sometimes the light goes off when i press the lock button while making calls.
Solved!
Go to Solution.Hi Joi7,
Welcome to the forum!
What you're seeing is the proximity sensor of the device. This will activate once you receive or make a call. The main purpose of the proximity sensor is to disable the screen whenever you put the phone near your ear. This is to prevent you from accidentally disconnecting the call. This also works just by covering the sensor using your hand or any object. This feature is available to all other Nokia touch screen devices. Hope this helps. Let us know if you have another concern. -

Photosmart 7450 appears to be jammed, blinking red light
My Photosmart 7450 had been working great until a few weeks ago. It just stopped printing. I didn't change any settings or cartridges. I've tried unplugging everything, cleaning it out, changing cartridges, test prints...
Symptoms:
- When I turn it on the light is green and appears to be functional (Good)
- When I tell it to print it feeds the paper into the proper position (Good)
- The print cartridges start moving (Good)
- Red light comes on blinking and everything stops (Bad)
- When I open the lid the cartridge is on the right side, and when I try and move it by hand it is stuck by a little tab below it
Any thoughts what it might be and how I can fix it? Thanks. What modem do you have? Is it a pure modem.. ie no router??
If it is a router then the Express has to be in bridge mode.
Assuming you have a pure cable modem..
When you change from the computer to the Airport Express, are you powering down the modem. If it has battery backup for phone you need to remove the battery as well.. it has to be off for around 20min but it can be longer or shorter than that. Restart the modem.. wait a couple of min then plug in the Express which must be in router mode so it captures the public IP. -
Greetings,
I'm missing messages because when I receive a message, the red light blinks for only a minutes or two. Can I change it to blink until I check it?
Thanks,
Shane.

If no one else has a suggestion, backup, reload OS and restore.
Keith you are wrong, the LED will blink only for about 15 minutes unless the messages have been checked before, after about 15 minutes the LED stop blinking to save battery life
It has been like that since 10.0, and it is the same for the Z30 as well
I could be wrong, I use CascaRun app that keeps the display on permanently (45 to 75min), during that time the LED has not stopped blinking when I receive a message. Other times I have never seen an unread message in the HUB when the LED was not blinking.
S.Goodman also mentioned a minute or 2, not 15 min. -

Blinking red light wont go off
When I receive a message in the middle of the night and check my phone in the morning, the red light will continue to blink even after reading any messages and deleting them. The only way the I have found to get the light to go out is to turn the phone off, of send myself a message and open it right away. I have tried rebooting the phone numerous times and it continues to do the same thing.
I had this same problem
Try downloading LED reset application. I can't remember for sure where I found it, I think it was on crackberry.com If not you could try searching google.
