Block CAT2 on Activity

Hello,
At the moment our employees are writing time on projects by creating network/activity with a workcentre.
We also use the same activities to add Material Components, which are purchased and after good receipt, we make Project Deliveries via CNS0.
After a certain point in time, we want to prevent users to write time via CAT2 onto this activity.
I cannot use status LOCK (LKD), Account Assignment Locked (AALK) because these prevent the process RMWL (Goods Issue Delivery)
Neither can we use status Technically Completed (TECO) because this will set a Deletion Indicator to the Material Components, which prevent also the Goods Issue Delivery.
One solution, which is also not possible for us, is to remove the Work Center. This will prevent CAT2 due to a check we build in. A user has to have the same Cost Center as the Cost Center of the Work Center. But it's not possible for us, because we make Forcast on these activities via the Work Center, Cost Center and the Activity Type / Price planning (KP26). so removing the Work Center will prevent Forcasting.
I guess the solution should be in some kind of (user) status, which prevent all kind of bookings which result into a Accounting Document, in combination with some ABAP.
Our Project Deliveries do not have this kind of document.
But maybe there are other solutions.
Do you guys have any idea?
Thanks for your effort
Best regards,
JM Starmans

Yesterday tried to implement a new User status with the neccesary Business transactions.
For some reason it didn't work out the way I was expecting. Besides the User status is not as much visible compared to a System Status.
At that time I realised, why not change the system status AALK, instead of default block RMWL (Goods Issue Delivery) change it to permit this action.  All our project deliveries are free of charge. Beside that, the user status AALK is never used in the Production system, so it's a status I can introduce for fixing our problem.
So fixed the issue.
Thanks for the help Paulo.
Greetings JM

    Hello,
I had been using iPhone4s with microcell but after upgrading to iPhone5s, there wasn't any mIcrocell connectivity (tried turning off and on several times - success). Finally, When I disconnected microcell and deactivated and reactivated again through ATT website (takes 15 to 20 mins), the firmware (to support iphone5s) I believe gets updated automatically and now it has started working - my iphone5s shows the Microcell connectivity and seems to be working! worth giving a shot if you are still facing Microcell connectivity issue using iphone5s.

I know how to "Play sound" over iCloud, but I heard there was a way to make your phone constantly go off very loudly. How do I do that?

You heard wrong, as there is no way to do that. Sound only plays for two minutes.

  • Invoice Block active???

    Hi Everyone,
I am trying to make Invoice verification .. At the time when system posts the Invoice it gives mssage "Invoice bloked for payment"
Please note :<b>Ther are no variances in Tolerances ..Stochistic Block is not active ..Still its blocked for payment...We are not exceeding any tolerances</b>
Can anyone tell what might be the reason..
    Regards
    Vikrant....

    Hi ,
Pl go through this text . I have copied from some another posting .
An invoice can be blocked for payment due to one of the following reasons:
    1. Schedule Variance in an Invoice Item
    2. Price / Amount of an Invoice Item
    3. Stochastic Block
    4. Manual Block
It is too time-consuming to investigate small variances. Tolerance limits are set up in the system for such situations: If variances in an invoice item are within these limits, they are accepted by the system.
If a tolerance limit is exceeded, you receive a system message. You can post the invoice in the system, but it is automatically blocked for payment if an upper tolerance limit is exceeded.
When you post an invoice, two things happen:
    1. The account postings resulting from the invoice are made.
In the vendor line of the accounting document, the system enters an R in the field
    2. Payment block so that Financial Accounting cannot make payment for the invoice.
If the invoice is blocked, all the items are blocked, even if the invoice only displays variances in one item.
When an invoice is blocked, the period in which the vendor grants a cash discount may expire.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • If you block a phone number in iMessage on the iPad, does it also block it on the iPhone?

If you block a phone number in iMessage on the iPad, does it also block it on the iPhone?

Depends on whether you are using the same iCloud account on the device, or if you are syncing Contacts via iTunes, if you are syncing both devices to the same computer.
When you block someone, no matter which application you "launch" the block from (Messages, Phone, FaceTime) you are blocking the Contact. So, any app that uses that contact will see it as a blocked contact and will block any incoming activity to that app from that contact.

  • Audit Current logged in User activity

    Dear Legends,
As I am trying out to find who are all logged in to  our Database and what are queries executed by the users. So while trying out the below query
    QUERY
    SELECT DISTINCT
      USERNAME,
      STATUS,
      SCHEMANAME,
      OSUSER,
      MACHINE,
      TO_CHAR(AR.LAST_LOAD_TIME, 'DD-Mon-YYYY HH24:MM:SS') LOAD_TIME,
      ss.WAIT_CLASS,
      ss.SECONDS_IN_WAIT,
      ss.STATE,
      ar.sql_text SQLTEXT
    FROM
      v$session ss,
      v$sqlarea ar
    WHERE
      ss.MACHINE NOT LIKE 'ip%'
    AND ss.STATUS = 'ACTIVE'
    AND ss.SQL_ADDRESS = ar.ADDRESS;
The Issue is when I execute the above query it returns a valid output that I'm logged in from a machine and it's client as SQL DEVELOPER. But I'm not able to view the same queries output in SQLPLUS.... I have scheduled this into a cron so I need SQLPLUS to work this query.
Do you know why? Let me know your suggestions.
Note: I need this condition "ss.MACHINE NOT LIKE 'ip%'" if not it will fetch the hosted servers machine and user.
    Thanks,
    Karthik

I'm able to view output without the "ss.MACHINE NOT LIKE 'ip%'" which is fetching the INTERNAL ORACLE USER also. But I need only the USERS WHO are logged in from a REMOTE MACHINE using any tools except SQLPLUS, because We have restricted SQLPLUS access.
BELOW is the output from SQLPLUS
    SQL> SELECT DISTINCT

  • Milestone Billing - Block getting removed before full confirmation.

    Hi friends,
i am facing a problem in Milestone billing.
I have attached a milestone to an activity. The milestone is considered in Sales order.
When the activity will be fully confirmed the BLOCK will get removed from the Sales Order & down payment can be made.
But the fact is when I am confirming the activity partially , the actual date is getting picked up in the milestone and the BLOCK is getting removed from the Sales Order.
If I remove the automatic tab from the confirmation in SPRO, then during confirming of the activity a pop-up is coming ' want to consider the actual date" . If I select NO then the actual date is not coming in the milestone. This case is OK. But the end-user wants it to be automatic.
How to prevent the actual date from getting picked up in the milestone till the activity is fully confirmed?
I have defined the Usage & considered "2" in S/F (Milestone at the end of the activity).
    Thanks a lot.
    Regards ,
    Abhra Bose

    Hi there,
I'm not sure if it solves the problem, but I have one remark. If you set the S/F value to 2 in SPRO it is only informative meaning. please see extract from SAP documentation:
+Milestone at the start or finish of an activity
This key determines whether the milestone should have  the start date ot the finish date of an activity.
    Dependencies
Please note that this key is not used in the extended milestone functions from Release 3.0. The key just helps you to edit milestones correctly, which were created before Release 3.0.+
What you need to do, is setting the offset directly in standard milestone in CN12 in block 'Offset to activity'.
    Rgds, Aleksandra

  • Accounting document show BLOCKED in return invoice.

    Hi,
when we create return invoice ( credit note) then accounting document show BLOCKED.
return order, delevery and invoice is craeted , but accounting document not created.
    pls give me soln.
    REgards,
    Sohail

It all depends on the Customizing of Billing Type RE.In VOFA ,Check Box Posting Block has been activated against Billing Type RE.
So after saving the Returns Invoice , the Accounting Document gets Blocked. In such cases , these Documents can be released manually only.

  • Database Block Size Smaller Than Operating System Block Size

Finding that your database block size should be in multiples of your operating system block size is easy...
But what if the reverse of the image below were the case?
What happens when you store an Oracle Data Block that is 2 KB in an 8 KB Operating System Block?  Does it waste 6 KB or are there 4 Oracle Data Blocks stored in 1 Operating System Block?
Is it different if you use ASM?
I'd like to introduce a 2 KB block size into a RAC Exadata environment for a small set of highly transactional tables and indexes to reduce contention on blocks being requested in the Global Cache.  I've witnessed horrendous wait times for a plethora of sessions when a block was highly active.
One index in particular has a column that indicates the "state" of the record, it is a very dense index.  Records will flood in, and then multiple processes will poll, do work, and change the state of the record.  The record eventually reaches a final state and is never updated again.
I know that I can fill up the block with fluff by adjusting the percent free, percent used, and initrans, but that seems like a lazy hack to me and I'd like to do it right if possible.
Any thoughts or wisdom is much appreciated.

You could have answered your own questions if you had just read the top of the page in that doc you posted the link for
    >
At the finest level of granularity, Oracle Database stores data in data blocks. One logical data block corresponds to a specific number of bytes of physical disk space, for example, 2 KB. Data blocks are the smallest units of storage that Oracle Database can use or allocate.
An extent is a set of logically contiguous data blocks allocated for storing a specific type of information. In Figure 12-2, the 24 KB extent has 12 data blocks, while the 72 KB extent has 36 data blocks.
    >
There isn't any 'wasted' space using 2KB Oracle blocks for 8KB OS blocks. As the doc says Oracle allocates 'extents' and an extent, depending on your space management, is going to be a substantial multiple of blocks. You might typically have extents that are multiples of 64 KB and that would be 8 OS blocks for your example. Yes - it is possible that the very first OS block and the very last block might not map exactly to the Oracle blocks  but for a table of any size that is unlikely to be much of an issue.
The single-block reads used for some index accesses could affect performance since the read of a 2K Oracle block will result in an 8K OS block being read but that 8K block is also likely to be part of the same index.
The thing is though that an index entry that is 'hot' is going to be hot whether the block it is in is 2K or 8K so any 'contention' for that entry will exist regardless of the block size.
You will need to conduct tests using a 2K (or other) block and cache size for your index tablespaces and see which gives you the best results for your access patterns.
You should use the standard block size for ALL tablespaces unless you can substantiate the need for a non-standard size. Indexes and LOB storage are indeed the primary use cases for uses non-standard block sizes for one or more tablespaces. Don't forget that you need to allocate the appropriate buffer cache.
