Block deliveries from storage location

Hi,
I have two storage locations - 01 and 0Q.
The production wanted 01 to be their storage location for finished products for sale. All deliveries must be issued from this storage location.
Storage locatio 0Q is the Quarantine location for finished products that is not yet ready for sale, or with quality problems. Deliveries for sales should not be done from this storage location.
My question is how to restrict, or disallow any goods issue for sales orders or deliveries from the Quarantine location? Is there a transaction in SPRO where I can do this configuration?

Option No. 1 --> Using User Exit
Option No. 2 --> Using SPRO
You can use incompleteness for inbound delivery, in incompleteness Put storage location as a filed. You can define the same using SPRO.
Logistics Execution ---> Shipping -->Basic Shipping Functions > Incompletion Control for Deliveries>Define Incompleteness Procedures Select H delivery item and create your procedure.
Assign table filed as LIPS -LGORT screen LAPD status 02 and Seq 1000 and attach this in Procedure to ELN in below path
Assign Incompleteness Procedures -->Assign Incompletion Forms to the Delivery Item Types
Now, if you are try to save the inbound delivery with Storage location system will not allow you to save the delivery.

Detetion material from storage location

Hi All ,
I wanted to delete a material from a storage location .Can any one suggest me to delete material from storage location other than blocking material for storage location using MM06 .I suppose that it can not done by using MMSC.

Dear,
If you created an material by error and you want to delete that material from the data base you can do it in this simple 4 steps. The only condition is that this material has to have no material movement recorded.
These are the steps:1
1) Flag material for deletion. transaction MM06
2) Run report MMREO001 - Selection of materials flagged for deletion and select the material
3) Run report MMREO050 Archive Materials to archive the material (some customisig settings might be required)
4) Run report MMREO110 Deletion Program for Archiving Materials to delete the material from the database.
These reports are called by the SARA transaction too.

Transfer material from Storage location to Storage type.

Hello,
At the time of usage decision we are posting the stock in "To Reserve stock" for that we have created seperate storage location ie for Sample material.
we having two samples one is customer sample and other is in house sample both the samples we are posting in same storage location.
Client want to differentiate these two samples, so we have created two storage types.
Now My question is " can we transfer the samples in different storage types from Storage location.
This is the QM and WM integration.
Please advice

I don't think you can transfer from storage location to storage type.
If your purpose is to differentiate these two samples, then why not use different Sample types with different number ranges and thus identify them. You don't have to get into QM-WM integration just for that.
If you want you may also set up 2 different physical sample locations: That would be ideal.

Stock removal from storage location

Dear All,
System showing some stock at various storage location, but whic is physically not in location. Every month balance sheet this stock is shwoing.
Please explain me any how to delete this stock from those storage locations.

Hi sap gurus,
there was an production order xxxxx for a machine. so all the materials was booked for that order. then , suddenly the requirements changed. so, they stopped the order n used the whole material for another similar order. any extra material needed 4 the new production order was added to the new one and closed the new order. But, they hav not sent back the materials for the old production order. It has resulted in over valuation of the stock-WIP. i/e., there is a machine worth 15 lakhs on the system virtually. wheras in reality, physically, the machine doen't exist.
Now, the issue is if u want to reverse the work in progress on 31.03.08, will the system let us do (i.e. can we reverse a WIP on a previous date??). if so, pls suggest the complete procedure including Tcode's to use.

STO- delivery document not commiting materials from storage location.

While creating an STO PO and delivery to move a material from a storage location in Plant 0003 (plant 0003 consists of 30 storage locations and 3 Shipping Points (1 for each of the Depots)), we are facing 0 stock issue.
We can change the Shipping Point in the STO PO to the Depot the material is coming from but no place to identify the Storage Location from which we are pulling.
The STO PO commits the material and provides a commit date.
We are using VL10B to create the Delivery > the Delivery fails and the log says "440000 0010 Only 0 EA of material 772-8760-876 available". There is material in 3 different Storage Locations in that Plant.
Does a delivery document consider shipping point only and not the storage location (sloc) inventory?
Do we need sloc-shipping point tie-up one to one?
We have inventory in both Storage Locations for MRP and for NO MRP.
Any advice, not sure if we are missing anything in config!

Check the following in OPJJ
The checking rule(for delivery it is B in std SAP) and avaiability check(from material master) combination
in the storage loc check sub screen
NO storage loc inspection check box is activated or not?
If it is not activated then system will check as per storage loc specified in delicvery, if activated, then system will check and give commitent at plant level
One more check is
In table TVKOL, is the storage loc is determined through shipping point/plant/stog condition combination?
IS so this storage loc is taken for checking

Transfer posting value limit from storage location to location

1. I was aware of the fact that stock is valued at plant level and it was not possible in standard. I was looking if anyone has done any innovative solution for this requirement.
2. Jürgen L - Thanks for the user exit, I was checking this yesterday and thought of check the Quantity in SLoc * Material Price to check the value before posting.
3.Joshua Albert - I had already configured EWS but business is not happy as there is no restriction only an exception email.
The issue is we are have a sales channel, where we created each Saleman as Storage Location and Transfer the stock to Salesman Storage Location and they do door to door selling to retail outlets and then after 2 days they come back with actual sales invoices which are recognized as sales which is consumed from their Sloc and again stock in transferred to their location, but there is no control on this.
I looked at changing the solution to customer consignment with credit management but credit management doesn't work for consignment fill up.

Tax jurisdiction from storage location address

During PO creation (ME21N), the tax jurisdiction (Invoice tab) defaults to the one set up in the plant address. Is there a way to have it default to the tax jurisdiction from the storage location address?

Can we derive Profit Center from Storage Location?

Pl advice me regarding following - (Version - ECC 6.0 with Doc Splitting Active)
The client is into Engg, Construction industry. We are having Project System. There are around 20-30 projects going on. Client wants to track receivables / payables on Each Project along with the Profitability of the project.
1) Therefore we have decided to created each project as a Profit Center.
2) Now the problem is with material code & plant.
3) If we Create only One Plant & create Storage Locations relating to the Projects - we can track the Quantity data on the PROJECT Level. But when we create One Material Code - we can maintain ONLY one Profit Center in its Master Data. When GR / IV happens, system will be able post the document to only One Profit Center maintained in the Material Master.
We want the posting (GR / IV / Vendor Payment etc) to go to the Project Profit Center & not to the Common Profit Center.
4) The other option which we are thinking of is to create Plants = Projects .
Now we can extend the material to the respective plant & maintain the PRofit Center in Plant Data.
But here I am not certain about the Excise Implications. The Client has only ONE Excise Registration.

Material Transfer from Storage Location 2 Storage loc

Hi Gurus,
Here Client want to transfer Material from 1 loc to another. Std T Code is MB1B with Mov Type 309. But here we have to enter material, qty,& batch no.But client's requirement is that he dont want to enter all these things.He want to select the material,batches collectively sothat seperate entry should be minimised. Is there any functionality through which we can transfer the selected materials?

First of all 309 movement is ussed for Material to material transfer
like our friend said for storage loc to storage loc. you need to use 311
Now when you go to MB1B then goto Edit in that you can see default value
enter your default value , so after that you need to choose only material and batch
collectively

Block Storage Location from MIRO

Hi,
We have a scenario wherein certain rejections are posted under Rejected Storage Location.
QM would decide, whether the said material should be returned to vendor or can be used for some sub-grade production process.
Now, the client wants to put a MIRO block for such storage location, which would have to be manually removed once the decision is taken.
Please suggest, how can MIRO be blocked for a particular storage location.

I think first option is better.. i.e. to block MIRO at QM level itself. Can you please let me know what is the transaction /path for defining these control keys?
In case of other option, how can a FI person be able to know that the stock is rejected at the time of MIRO. He would have to manually check the stock position and then do the MIRO and payment block.

BLOCKING STORAGE LOCATION

   To All SAP Gurus,
    This is manish.here i am with some problem regarding the "Blocking Storage Location".
I have some storage locations which are actually not in use,but they have stock in SAP where as there is no any stock physically,now i want to vanish that storage location.
1) So is it possible to remove storage location from plant?
2) Also is it possible to block the perticular storage location for perticular material?
   As i think MMSC not useful here.Also custmisation in enterprise structure will only remove the storage location at plant level.

   This is regarding the blocking storage location.The problem has been solved.
the steps what u suggested,was quite helpful for me up to
use MM06..
Enter material and sloc..
then enter
then mark check box against SLOC
save and continue,
material will be blocked for the said Sloc.
        But the still system aalows the posting to that storage location.
the above problem has been solved by other way.

ISSUE : Actually we have to post 4 no's from storage location 1500 FNWP to 1500 BSTR
.by MB1B T.Code.But System takes 1,001.96gms automatically. *( movement type 911 E ) ( they want to post in units EA )*
Solution : In material master data classification tab given material conversion so when we raise mb1b then automatically it is converted to GRAMS
Is it correct ?

what is the base unit of the material?

are UNE and EA maintained as alternative units?
sorry i dont know une meaning but in material master data in addition tab they maintain conversion from EA to Gram.
what is the unit used in the the sales order?
