Block/Discontinue an article at warehouse level

Hi SAP Experts,
I want to know how can I block or discontinue an article at warehouse level. By mistake , I extended an article to warehouse view in AP Retail . I do not want to block or discontinue the article for site/plant level because still the transactions are carried at plant level. I cannot try MM06 as it does not exist for Retail specefic domain.

Hi Frenchy,
I tried blocking by LS07 but it showed the error" No data vailable for criteria specified". I had given the article no, the warehouse no. and the site no. and also checked the Putaway block.
Is it showing because there are zero quantity in the warehouse when i checken in MLGN table.
No transfer orders have been raised for this article for ths warehouse no. yet.
But i want to block this warehouse for future purpose as I had extended this to a wrong warehouse by mistake.
Pleaseadvice Frenchy. Another thing,, I cannot use MM06 as we use Retail specefic application where this transaction cannot be used.

Itemcost column table at warehouse level in item master

I have an issues regarding the item cost in Item master --> Inventory Data tab when we select Valuation method either Standard or Moving average we can see the itemcost (Column) value at warehouse level but for FIFO method we cant see the itemcost column.
Can any one tell me in which table the itemcost value is stored for FIFO method.? I can see the itemcost of a FIFO valuation method only when i do issue for production there i will get item cost but i want to know the itemcost value at production order level only for FIFO method because based upon the itemcost only my process cost is calculated.

Dear Pavan,
The Item Cost column is not shown in the Item Master Data for items using FIFO Valuation Method. This is because a FIFO cost layer is created as Items are received to stock. Hence, it is possible that for one warehouse, several FIFO layers exist (depending on the different FIFO cost).
You can also see this information in the Stock Posting List.

Authorization On warehouse Level

I want to give the authorization at the warehouse level. We are have having different warehouse at different location. I want that user can see the stock only their warehouse instead of all the warehouse.

There is no authorization per warehouse. Yet there is a user defaults in the user setup form --> default.
You csn check it.

MRP at Warehouse Level

Dear Experts,
Currently we are enhancing our system to utilize MRP function. Since our warehouses are scattered to many location, then it is too difficult for us to do material planning in manual method. Our requirement is to carry out material planning at warehouse level, that is way, I tried to promote MRP area. I have activated MRP area storage location because our warehouses are represented by storage location and assigned them to each material master data.
Sales Order created and assigned the BOM to CS61, and subsequently MRP run MD01 or MD02 as result there is no BOM explosion for my FG. However when I remove the assigned MRP are in Material Master data it is working. My expectation the BOM explosion should be happened at MRP area level. Your advices are appreciated. thanks

Hi,
You said you are creating Sales Order and then creating th Order BOM in CS61, then I assume that you are using MTO strategy. If so you can run the MRP in T code : MD50 against the Sales Order Item.
As you said you are running the MRP in MD01 / MD02 , One point I would like to Highlight- Did you create the Scope of Planning in COnfiguration under which you have Added all the MRP areas.
Also check whether you have assigned the MRP areas to a Plant. If not system will not explode the BOM and trigger the dep reqts and procurment proposals.

Goto the Transaction code MASS and enter the OBJECT TYPE as BUS2032 and Hit enter.
Now in the next screen select the table for SALES ORDER ITEM DATA and in the fileds select billing block mass with field
MASSSDHEAD_S-FAKSK and execute, it will lead to another screen in which you can enter all the Sales documents and execute, there u can assign billing block for all the Items at a time
or
Sit with ABAPer and develop a BDC program (Hardly take 1 hour). This will be for future as well.
Just pass a file having all the sales order number, execute it in background.
When system is providing automatic way then why to go manual?
Please check this and revert back.

Block purchasing of articles, but allow replenishment

I need to block somo articles for purchasing, but allow the replenishment of them.
I try to handle this using the OMS4 transaction, but the purchasing option generates an Error Message when a is B in transpor order (UB) and purchasing for external orders (NB).
Any ideas to handle this...

Let me explain the business scenario.
My client need control the status of the articles (it´s a retail client).
Some articles won´t be purchasing any more, but the CEDI still have stock of them, so we need to avoid the external purchase of those article, but allow the replinishment from CEDI to stores with STO.
I don´t use WSE2 Material descontinuation, because that is a vendor level, and the client need block the external procurement.

Availability check at Warehouse level.

We are creating Automatic Delivery and Pick Transfer Order from the Sales Order. Now when availability check is run at IM level stock is present.
But, In Warehouse some bins are blocked for stock removal .
So, Transfer Order is getting created for only stock available in WH.
Question: Can I create a storage type (maybe interim) that stores the returned and blocked stock and such that this stock would not be considered for Availability check?
Please advise.

The simple answer is NO because wherever you put the stock in WM the availability check only looks at IM and if it is available you will not have a problem until you come to pick it.
There are two options I can think of to prevent this.
1. Create another St Location and transfer the stock that you cannot use to this st location - however this can be very messy.
2. The easiest way is if there is stock that you cannot pick in WM because it is Genuinely unavailable then 'Block' the stock and place it on Status 'S' in both IM and WM and then the availability check will not see it.
If however the stock is ok and it is only the block on the bin that is stopping you picking it then either remove the block or move the stock somewhere else.

But for some plants or one of the company code, I want to block the internal batch number creation during the goods receipt at production order confirmation(CO11N). Is it possible ? How? Can we restrict for some of the plants/comany code and allow for other plants/company code?

Block and release vendors at different level

Hi experts,
I'm working on a workflow who can block and release vendor after creation or modification. The problem is that I want block, first, the vendor for purchase and after, for the payment.
So I need two level of validation : the first for purchasing and the second for finance. So I need to create one event with the transaction MK01 or MK02 and after the validation I have to call the transaction FK01 or FK02.
I use the BOR LFA1 with specific method to block and release one of this views (purchase or financial) but when a vendor is saved, there is no distinction between the purchase view and the financial view. I can not distinguish the transaction who call the event.
So if there is someone who can help me quickly, it will be great!

Regarding the event condition in SWEC, it doesn't correspond to my situation so I will try the FM but I don't really how to do : I mean which condition I can put, or which action I can put for check the transaction.
The thing is that I'm not really good in FM cause I'm more functional.
So if someone could help me on the code to check transaction before block a vendor, it could be great.

Blocking material for sale at plant level

Can you please help me whether we can block the material for sale at plant level.
We can block the material in sales organization view --> DChain-spec. status as BLOCKED FOR SALE , but it wil block sales of the material for all the plants in the sales organization.
Please help whether we can go ahead at plant level.

the posting block for goods issues can already be reached with a material status, so no phyiscal inventory document necessary.
What you could try is to control the usage by a userexit.
E.g. you define a sales status AND a material status, just as table entry without any customizing in detail.
and in the userexit you check for the combination of sales status and material status, and if your material has this combination then send a error message to the user.

Block Media Recovery and RMAN Incremental Level 1 backup

I have read somewhere that Block Media Recovery will not work if a database is backed up using rman incremental 1. Is this true, and if so is there a work around?
I cannot seem to find this in oralce's documentation.

But does you have the Archive logs available.. ?? If yes then it will Support.
