Block Inbound Calls
Most of us are probably aware of the limited ability, via H323 gateways and translation rules, to block inbound calls from the PSTN.
Two questions:
1.) Is there another method I may not be aware of?
2.) I was reading about External Call Control Profiles this morning and it seems like a logical fit. Anyone experimented with this?

Here is great Doc from CCO that outline Voice Translation Profiles and has examples of
various situations. Letting the GW handle it to me seems most straight forward if its H323 GW
Why make CUCM have to even deal with it?
Has example for blocking ext

Blocking inbound call in CM with MGCP Voice gateways
I'm sure someone has posted on this: We have MGCP voicegateways and CM 4.02aSR2b. How can I setup CM to block a specific inbound call? If the gateways were H323 then no problem, but with MGCP we are stumped. Any suggestions? Thx!
It cannot be done with MGCP. It can be done with H.323 using reject translation rules on the GW.
With MGCP your only option is to route all calls via Unity or IPCC first where logic can be build to block calls.
HTH, please rate posts!

What is the best pay to block inbound numbers on CCM 4.1(3)SR1. For example, we have this one particuler number that is probably a computer generated number that keeps calling. When we pickup no one is there.
Where can this be filtered? Thanks! If your PSTN provider can block it there are some advantages. First you don't have to do it, second even though you can, it does tie up a channel coming into your gateway for the time it takes to reach CallManager and reject it. If it is a computer generated call, it could be making several at a time and could result in a sort of DOS on the gateway. Other than that, you could route it to non-existant phone or I think use a route filter. I would also setup reporting on it to verify the block is working.

SIP Trunk not accepting inbound calls
I have a CME setup using Engin as a SIP provider
I am able to dial out with no issue, however my inbound calls do not work, they divert to the Engin voicemail
My SIP registration is OK and the number is configured as the primary DN on one of my phones

i To maintain a paperless environment, please don't print this e-mail unless you really need to.Typically you have a codec or media resource issue to track down. IE, MTP, region, location, gateway trunk to trunk to call or something in that area. Bypass UCCX and do the same call without this app... does it happen with a normal call?

How do I block all in coming calls that do not show on my caller Id. Phone says "no caller id" This particular call is from a place selling septic tank cleaner. They leave an automated voice mail. They are calling me over and over. I am on the national do not call list but that's no help. Because the caller id doesn't show anything I can't even report them.
I remember in the past calling a number and before my call would go thru I would have to enter my phone number so the party I was calling knew who was calling them. That is what I want to do. I want to block all calls from "no caller id" "number unavailable" Just FYI my phone is an IPHONE 5 and I am on Verizon.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanksitbitybob, good day!
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us today. I know how frustrating it can be getting phone calls from "no caller id" numbers. We do have an option that is called Family Base that will allow you to block unknown numbers, private numbers, or caller id. This link will provide you with the full details of this option. http://vz.to/1gIklla I hope this is able to answer your question. If you have further questions please feel free to reach back out to us at any time.

How can I block 'no caller id' calls from contacting me?
Over the last couple of days someone has got a hold of my number, and has been calling me with a private number. I want to know if there is a way I can block all calls on my phone that come from a private 'no caller ID' number, and only allow ones that have a caller ID through. I have tried contacting my service provider Telstra which they said the most they can do is put me on the do not call register (which doesn't help my situation at all, as the person isn't a telemarketer). Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix my problem?
Thanks.
(I have an iPhone 5 iOS 7.1.1 and my service provider is Telstra Australia)There is no Third Party App you can load onto an iPhone that will be allowed to take over your iPhone's Phone without jailbreaking your device (which cannot be discussed here nor would I ever recommend doing it).
One feature you can use is the Do Not Disturb feature. You can set it to allow calls from your Favorites then add all of your people to your favorites, but that is not quite what you are asking for. -
Is there a way to do a "blocking ole call", i.e. making the calling code stop until the ole-application has exited? I start Word and load a document and then do stuff the file after the user has exited.
I tried using a blocking host command with callback on the document but it had an annoying cmd windows always visible and I would like to avoid digging into the registry to find the word executable.
BTW: what is the difference between OLE2 and CLIENT_OLE2?client_ole is the implementation of OLE interaction
in WebUtil. When moving your apps the Web, all
previous client-server ole calls would occur on the
server. With attaching WebUtil and a simple search
and replace action you can make it work on the Web
then. I am misunderstanding something or aren't the 9i/10g OLE2 calls already happening on the client? At least the stuff I have tried with OLE2 pops up the application on the client and not on the AS-machine.
From teh top of my head, I think that the host
command in WebUtil allows you to do host command
calls on the client without popping up a DOS window.Yes, but the problem is that i need the window (I run the filename and let windows take care of the rest through extension association), but I would just like to make it more invisible to the user.

Debugging inbound call - need debug command
I am debugging what I believe to be a dial plan issue on PGW but want to run a debug command on the ITP to show the actual called number of the inbound call.
What is the best debug command to use to see the inbound called and calling numbers of a call. You are better off capturing an mdl trace from the PGW using per call tracing or using snoop and opening the call in Wireshark.
The ITP will only dump hex values and you will need to decode them yourself since it is not concerned with ISUP layer. You can use the cs7 paklog feature to attach an access list to a linkset and then send the raw data to a syslog server for decoding.
For example:
cs7 paklog x.x.x.x dest-port xxxx src-port yyyy
access-list 2700 instance x permit si all
debug cs7 mtp3 paklog 2700 -

Everything that I have read suggests the you cannot block individual 'spam' calls or text .. is this is the case, it's not acceptable.
I have a Blackberry Z30 .. there MUST be a way to block individual calls or text. You can on other makes of phones so why not a Blackerry Z30. You can block all calls, but that's a little overkill.
I have been a loyal user of Blackberry phones over the past 6 years, if this cannot be resolved soon, when my current contract is up, I will be switching to another make ..
Please advise ..
