Block International Calls

How do I prevent my users from calling international phone numbers?
CUCM 10.0 + Cisco H.323 gateway
Take into consideration that according to the NL numbering plan:
0 - external
00 - long distance
000 - International
So matching for 000 is preceded by a match for either 0 and 00.
I gather I'll have to do something with a route filter, but so far I haven't been able to create one that actually works.

I wasn't able to use a 000 route pattern, the callmanager seemed to like the match for 0 better.
However, I was able to figure out how to use route filters.
- created a 2nd 0.@ with a 2nd route partition (same calling search space).
- created two route filters: 1: no international, 2: international
- set the two filters on the respective route patterns
- enabled Forced Authorization Code on the international route pattern
This way only users that know the code can call international.

  • Blocking international call numbers

    Christina,
I am also having the same issues with international texts and I am being charged for them. I am getting messages from two numbers:
    (numbers removed)
I have asked them to stop and they continue to call and text me. Is there any way you can help me to block these numbers or stop it somehow since I have been charged for the texts they have been sending me.
    Thank you,
      Taylor

I'm getting spammed by some international number and verizon's call block only accepts 10-digit numbers. where are the options for blocking call outside of the country?  there is a guide i found but it's out of date and broken.
International incoming calls cannot be blocked. Outgoing calls can only be made if an International Dialing feature is added to your account.

  • International calls and texting sept2012

is it just me or didnt verizon used to have an option where you could block international calling?? i could've sworn they did! i have 2 adtnl lines, i remember one of them was blocked! now they can text from them. did they take that option off all together?? so many things have changed i dont even know anymore? does anyone know? please let me know, thoughts or comments?

By international do you mean Canada?
I know that international text CANNOT be blocked unless you block just a few numbers or block ALL messaging. Verizon can EASILY put a system in place to do this, but this is Verizon's (as well as other major carriers) illegal revenue stream so you will have to deal with it.
For int'l calling, typically calls to Canada (long distance) CANNOT be blocked - another illegal revenue stream for Verizon (like 411 directory calls), so the only option you have is to block individual numbers or just don't make calls to Canada.

  • Blocking international numbers?

Is there a way to get international calls blocked?
    More importantly calls from india?
On a daily basis I get cold callers from india calling me for various reasons like market research, PPI, Solar cells, Microsoft support scams etc.
It doesn't matter what I tell them the calls never stop. I had some success once by telling them the person they were calling was dead but that didn't last long.
These calls are really getting on my nerves now. They show up on the caller display as international. I've looked through BT caller features but I can't find a service to block international calls.
So does anyone know if there is a way to get BT to block all calls from india to my line?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

BT cannot do it, you would have to buy a 3rd party device like CPR Call Blocker, or Truecall.

  • CME COR block internal

is there anyway to block internal calls on CME? like two extensions, 101, 102, I don't want 101 call 102
other question, I have one 2600 router (CME), I have another 2800 router (with CUE), can 2600 CME use CUE on 2800 via IP?
    thanks

Yes, or you can simply prevent calling 102 from 101 with a translation-profile and rule
    rule 1 reject /^102/
    applied incoming to dn 101
And yes, you can do that with the CUE.
Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!

  • HT1688 Is there any App for blocking the International calls on my phone?

Is there any App for blocking the International calls on my phone?

    No.
For security reasons, 3rd party apps don't have access to private iPhone APIs which such an app would require.
You want to stop being able to place such calls or stop receiving such calls?
If the latter, try stopping it at the source by contacting your carrier.

  • How can I block all incoming international calls?

How can I block all incoming international calls?

Verizon does not value me as a customer because they would not assist me with getting the blocks done. The services Verizon offered, "Family Base" does not block what I and many, many, many, more verizon customers need.  The APP is working GREAT! In the 1st two days it blocked over 25 unwanted solicitations from India. It blocked "unknown", Private, 1234, 123456789566, 000-000-0000, and other 10 digit numbers! NOKIA has done a fabulous job with the developement of their APP. Verizon could block these calls but is not willing to do so and in the process try to sell me a product that wouldn't work.

  • Can I block all international call-outs?

I bought an iPhone 3G in Hong Kong, and I have a lot of friends in US and China. Is it possible to block all the international calls, to block all the numbers begin with +1 and +86?

I mean block all call-outs. I would be very happy to answer their calls
Maybe I'm being naïve, but wouldn't the easiest solution be simply not to call them? Is the temptation simply too great?

  • Block incoming international calls?

I am getting incoming phone calls from 2348173632154 -- spam from a Nigerian caller! I cannot block it, because it is a 13-digit number and not a 10-digit number. Does anyone know how I can block it through other means?

        Hi Gcambp8424!
I realize unexpected calls can be frustrating! Unfortunately, international numbers with more than 10 digits can not be blocked. Keep in mind, you will not be billed for receiving an international call while you a located in the United States. To view our Call & Messaging block feature visit:http://vz.to/1nMgSTH .

Couple of customer reps confirmed and even today when I called they confirmed that international call block is switched ON for my line.  My daughter plays around with my phone and unfortunately we got a bill of $350 for June even though international call feature is disabled. Unwanted calls are never pleasant! To confirm, are these calls only coming from 3 digits numbers? If coming from 10 digit number we offer 5 free blocks via https://wbillpay.verizonwireless.com/vzw/nos/safeguards/SafeguardProductDetails.action?productName=callMessageBlocking. While not the most convenient, we also offer the ability to change your phone number free via http://www.vzw.com/myverizon.

  • International Calls cannot make

I have the new windows skype client. and cannot make anymore international calls. any suggestions.

I would call again, or open a chat request.  Make sure you have a couple examples of numbers that you can not call, and ask them to open a long distance repair ticket.  as long as you have no blocks on your account and you have a long distance plan with them, then they should be able to open a repair ticket.  make sure you call and get the EXACT wording of the message that you get when you call pakistan so that you can give it to them.

  • International calls. iPhone 4

Hi. What did I not do? Just got back from Costa Rica- had checked with AT&T and was assured iPhone 4 would work there ( if I needed to make calls). No such luck. Phone detected the cellular network but still showed "no service". Is this a sim card issue? Thanks

You do not need international dialing turned on or data roaming or any of that to receive an international call. Your phone's global settings are irrelevant.
Log into your Verizon account on your computer and make sure you haven't inadvertently blocked his number (Verizon will allow you to block up to 5 numbers). Have your friend try dialing your number manually rather than from a stored contact.

  • I cannot beleive VZW does not have a way to black ALL international calls

My husband has been receiving harassing international call for well over a year. He answered the first few and there were a couple of girls laughing and speaking in a foreign language. He has not answered these calls since but they will not stop. Yesterday he received 33 calls from the same number. They use so many different numbers and area codes it is impossible to block them all. VZW of course wants him to change his number but it is a business number and they may be too costly to us. So yesterday I had to sign up for usage controls which is $5 a month/ $60 per year to try to stop them. I load in the max of 20 numbers allowed by VZ to block and this morning when we checked his phone the was a totally different number on the missed call list!
I cannot believe a company as technically advanced as VZ does not have a way to block ALL international calls.
Does anyone have any suggestions other than changing his number?

  • Blocking a call

I am trying to block a caller. An international number Spam Block only accepts 10 digits The number I am trying to block has 12. Which of the 12 do I use?

I have done this for telemarketers several times. Add the number that you want to block to your phone book. Make the name something like blocked caller or Telemarketer. Then go to your contacts list, select the contact, press the menu button, and click options. It will bring up a selection box that says send directly to voice mail, check that box. Back out and save if needed.
Now your phone immediately sends every call from this number directly to voice mail without ringing.
This is a quick, free fix that I have used. I also use Google voice for free visual voice mail so if I get a voice mail from the undesired caller and I can quickly delete it without having to call and waste time.
    Simple, free, effective.... Good Luck.....
