Block number one synced phone

My husband and I have IPhone 5s that the contacts are synced together for work purposes. I would like to block a caller from my phone but when I do that, it blocks it from my husband's phone which he doesn't want. Is there a way (without getting separate Apple accounts) to only block a caller from one phone?

This is a very common question and you can easily find the answer in CSC if you take a couple of minutes to search

In case you're using MGCP there is absolutely no way to block at the GW unless it's H323 or SIP.

  • Blocked number appearing on phone history

If I blocked a number from contacting me, will it show on my usage history that they have text me/called? I have an iPhone.

    Hello ,
Thank you for posting your question on the AT&T Community Forums; I would be happy to answer your question!
If you block a number from calling you, that phone number should not be displayed on your bill.
I would like to add that any previous history of the number calling before being blocked would not be removed from past logs.
    Thank you,
    Charise

It's a problem for long time. I am using the latest MacBook Pro with 9700. When I sync, it only copy one mobile phone number to the device if the contacts has more one mobile phone number.
    Any suggestion?

No one had account such an issue?

  • Hi All can anyone help me, I have a Iphone 4s and I'm currently recieving nuisance calls via a blocked number is there anyway I can stop my phone accepting blocked numbers? Cheers

Hi all I'm Currently recieving Nuisance Calls via a Blocked number is there anyway I can stop my Iphone accepting Blocked Numbers? Thanks

There is a way! I'm very happy to share this and hope it helps those who find themselves plagued, as I was.
I have been getting nuisance calls for months from some muppet, who hides his phone number before he calls at 3am. I need to keep my phone on, in case any of my immediate family have an emergency. I'm sure many have the same problem, just turning off the phone is not an option. I have been to two or three shops to ask the experts and none could offer me a solution. I was on the verge of tring to jailbreak my phone or even get rid of it to get an andriod one...That's how bad things had become.
Anyway, this is my solution, which I found by trawling through page after page on the internet, for ages and trying various other solutions first. I have an iPhone 4S and the operating system is 6.1.3 and I am in the UK, on Orange, or EE as we should now call it. I cannot promise it will help everyone, but it works for me.
Go to Settings, Do Not Disturb and switch this on. Underneath here, go to Notifications, then Do Not Disturb again. Then Scheduled and set the times you want the restrictions to start and end. For example, I use 7pm to 8am, so that I know I won't get nuisance calls during this period, but whatever times work for you. Underneath, it says Allow calls from and you can select your favourites. If you haven't saved any of your contacts as Favourites, do so, it's very easy. Just go to contacts, open one and underneath the number there is a button to Add to favourites. Repeat for all close friends and family you want to be able to reach you at any time. All your favourites should be allowed to call. I think you can have 50 numbers in the favourites. But any unknown caller should be simply sent to voicemail.
Apple have had some previous issues with the Do Not Disturb feature and to be honest this didnt work 100% of the time for me. If you find the same, don't give up. I suggest you do as I did at this point and use an app called Call Bliss, which seems to have cracked it. (I have NO connection to them and it's no skin off my nose if you use this app or not). There may be other apps that do the same, or even better for all I know. You have a free one day trial then it's £3 if you want to continue to use it. For me, £3 to solve the problem was money very well spent. If you need this app, download it, then do as suggested above to the point where it says Allow calls from and this time you select Bliss Exceptions. Follow the instructions in the app.
There are two modes, I use suppress mode, which allows all calls to get through except those from unknown callers and those specified by you. I believe the other mode blocks all calls, except those you specify. Please note, the app only works when the iPhone is locked. Your lock might come on after the phone is not used for 5 minutes or so, or you can lock the phone by single clicking the on/off button (not holding it down).
I hope this helps anyone as much as it has done me.

  • How does one sync music from iTunes on a Mac with an HTC Windows 8 phone

How does one sync music files from iTunes running on a MacBook Pro with an HTC Windows 8 phone?

    One doesn't.
    Itunes syncs with Apple devices.
You can put the music on your phone. You would have to read the directions for your iphone to learn how to put your music on it.

  • TA38605 When my phone rings and  is password locked I am unable to decline a call.  As soon as I unlock my phone it answers the call whether I want to or not. How do I fix this? Because I do not want to answer a blocked number.

Iphone4s - because I use pass lock I cannot decline a call such as a blocked number.  If I can't see who is calling then I don't want to answer it.  But due to having my phone on lock - i can see its a blocked number but there is no option to decline.  If i unlock my phone it automatically answers the call.  Does anyone else have this problem or is there a solution I don't knnow about?

In the locked screen you can press the sleep/wake button once to silence to the call and twice to send it to voicemail.

  • I am asking this for my friend, who was using iphone 4. He lost it one week back and couldnt find it so far. He is having his IMEA number of the phone. Could you please help me in tracing out this?

I am asking this for my friend, who was using iphone 4. He lost it one week back and couldnt find it so far. He is having his IMEA number of the phone. Could you please help me in tracing out this?

If he has not previously set up Find My iPhone, there is no way to
track the iPhone. Apple does not and will not track phones.
Immediately change all passwords. Hopefully he was using a passcode
to get by the lock screen. If he was, his data is protected; if not, anyone
who finds the iPhone can access anything that was on it.

  • CER 9.0 One Line number on two phones at different locations

I'm putting some phones statically into CER and I have a line number that is on two different phones, the phones are at two different building locations. Is there a way to put both phones into CER with the same number but have the correct information be pulled up when dailing 911?

Got it, you can only have unique manual phone extensions defined, so you cannot have the same extension assigned to 2 different ERLs.  If one it to be build manually and another one is tracked then CER uses the following order to figure out which one to use:
    Call Routing Order
Emergency Responder directs emergency calls based on the location of the phone from which the call is placed. The location of the phone is determined by the following methods, in order of precedence:
Synthetic phones—The MAC address of the phone matches that of a synthetic phone and is assigned to a test Emergency Response Location (ERL). See Synthetic Phones and Set Up Test ERLs.
IP Phones tracked behind a switch port—The MAC address of the IP phone is tracked behind a switch port assigned to an ERL. See Switch Port Configuration.
IP Phones tracked using IP subnet—The IP address of an IP phone belongs to an IP subnet assigned to an ERL. See Set Up IP Subnet-based ERLs.
IP Phones tracked by another (remote) Emergency Responder server group in the same Emergency Responder cluster—The remote server group tracks an IP phone behind a switch port or by IP subnet. When an emergency call is received, it is forwarded to the Cisco Unified Communications Manager cluster served by the remote Emergency Responder server group. See Phone Moves between Clusters.
Manually configured phones—The line number of the phone is manually assigned to an ERL. See Manually Define Phones.
Unlocated Phones—The MAC address of an IP phone is assigned to an ERL. See Identify Unlocated Phones.
Default ERL—None of the preceding criteria is used to determine the phone location. The call is routed to the default ERL. See Set Up Default ERL.

  • How do I protect my Verizon blocked number when texting?

I was shocked to find that my Verizon iPhone blocked number was in fact revealed when I sent text to an Android user who was employing a little app refused by Apple named Mr. Number.  I like to know that I am safe and protected and when and when I'm not.  I like to have anonymity upon certain occasions when using my phone.  I had always placed trust in Apple for ther supposedly having my best interests in mind as they control their world and the trade-off to us, their loyal consumers, was to expect a safe and well managed environment.  I have found so many instances where this is not the case.
After finding that my blocked number was revealed to this Android user employing his Mr. Number app, I immediately did a search and ended up at the app store and downloaded everything I could find that promised to do a similar thing, though ultimately nothing did what Mr. Number does.  I even paid for two or three of them and upon initial review, I found that not one actually even did what they claimed to do.  I'll of course be spending more time with each to see if I've missed anything, but I have to say how very very dissappointed I am in Apple for not providing more security to its iPnone users when it surly must know what we are up against.  Apple does in fact know about Mr. Number as after visiting their web site they state that "Apple doesn’t allow developers to build better calling and texting apps for the iPhone."  I surly agree with this statement.
Apple!  Please consider the vulnerability we have as you've not allowed us to protect our privacy sufficiently.
Are there any suggestions or resources, apps etc.., that I've not heard of?  Any suggestions to making my phone more protected when it comes to my phone number and other information associated with it?
    Many thanks in advance!

just assumed that I was being protected when using it.  Not the case I find, by accident.  So much for assuming...and not getting into the fine details with, I guess, Verizon as I pay them for the basic blocing service...or at least I think I pay...maybe ints included...
Caller number blocking { ie your number when you call someone } ONLY covers the CALL part of the service. There is NO way to block your phone number EVER when sending a text message.

  • Rejecting a "Blocked Number" call on my 3G

Is it possible to automatically reject a call from a blocked number, or is that a function of the provider? On my old phone (Razr, T-Mobile) if someone who had their number blocked tried to make a call to me, they received a message saying that I was refusing calls from blocked numbers and to unblock their number and try the call again.
Yesterday I received a call and the phone displayed "Blocked Number" - It was a telemarketer. After the call, I looked through the settings and could not find anything that would allow me to reject blocked (or hidden) numbers. I saw where I could hide my number, but that's not what I want.
On a side note, I do have a contact made with a whole list of numbers and set to a "silent ring" as a way of "blocking" telemarketers, but when the number is blocked, I cant add it to the contact.
    I have a 3G running iOS 4.01 (if that makes a difference)
    Thanks
    Jim

I am on the DNC registry - but that is the problem, I do business with one section of one company. I have an AmEx card. I am being pestered by their vacation subsection. They call about once every 4 weeks asking if I want to have a great vacation in Florida (I live in Florida). . .The other company is one I dont do business with and never concluded any business with. Carnival Cruise. Last year, I was looking to take my wife on a cruise but chose Royal Caribbean instead, yet I am still called by Carnival. Funny, now that I think about it, RC never calls me and they are the ones I went with. . .
These are two of the few that I have listed on the "Silent Ring" contact. . .

  • If I have more than one I phone can I use the same apple ID for all off them?

If I have more than one I phone can I use the same apple ID for all off them?

Yes. You can have multiple iPhones on the same ID, up to the maximum 5 total devices. FaceTime will use the sim number for calls and you can configure each phone separately, or configure one and then back it up to iTunes and them restore the image to the others.

    Hello Todd:
I had this very same problem when trying to activate iMessage and Facetime on my iPad. When I signed into my account, I actually wasn't even presented with the option of a phone number - notwithstanding the fact that I was contacting others (and being reached by others) by my phone number on my iPhone. Having both the iPad and the iPhone on, I kept trying to turn off and on both iMessage and Facebook in Settings on both my iPad and iPhone, hoping that that they would eventually sync. But this proposed solution by others was unsuccessful for me.
Then, I found out what the problem was: When my iPhone was activated, it automatically registered my phone number for contact purposes. I was using iMessage on my iPhone for quite some time without actually being signed into my Apple ID account. When another device - such as an iPad or iPod - is being used for iMessage or Facebook, you are prompted to sign into your Apple account, using your username and password. These two devices will not register your phone number as an option for contact unless your iPhone is signed into your Apple account as well. In other words: your phone number will not be synced.
Go into your "Settings" on your iPhone and click on "Messages". Scroll down and click on "Send & Receive" (which should be followed by your phone number). On the next page, you will be able to determine whether or not your iPhone is using the Apple ID for messaging purposes. (Note: This information applies for Facetime as well.) If it is using your Apple ID for messaging, than at the top, you will see "Apple ID: <your particular e-mail account>" in Blue text. However, if you are not using your Apple ID for messaging, than you will see the words: "Use your Apple ID for message". Even though below this you will see your phone number checked as the contact source, you will want to click the tab that says, "Use your Apple ID for message". Sign into your account (just as you must sign in for iMessage on your other devices), and just choose your phone number as the "Send & Receive" contact. (The option of the e-mail will be there too, but you don't have to check it. And later on, you can delete it as an option.)
Now that all of your devices are signed in using your Apple ID, the other devices should register your phone number as a choice. It may take a little while, however. What I did was sign out of iMessage on my iPad, and then sign in again. If the option didn't appear, I just went back and signed in again, and kept doing this until the option for the phone number appeared.
Again, this will work for Facetime as well. The solution is to sync your iPhone account with the other devices by using your Apple ID for messaging (and Facetime) purposes.
I hope that this works for you, Todd!   ~ Brian

My daughter and I both  have an iPhone and some how we share an iCloud account and she's getting all my texts and contacts. I can't find where to uncheck her phone number on my phone account so she doesn't get all my texts and contacts. Please help

    Hi Shellyk,
Go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and make sure that only your personal email addresses are listed under the individual phone number.Remove the "shared" iCloud email address.
For the Contacts, if you are syncing them via iCloud and you both have the same iCloud account, you will both have the same Contact list.
    Cheers,
