Block of Twitter , Whatsapp etc

We have a curve 8520 with a prepaid card. We are aware of the fact that we can not use all the functions without a specific BlackBerry contract.
But, when we are at home on the Wifi it should work. It works one day after a reset (battery remove) and the he tells us that the contract does not support BB and therefore it is blocked. You would expect that trough WIFI at home these functionality should be available without a SIM CARD or any limitations from our contract with the provider.
Can anybody tell me something about this problem and suggest a solutions without having to get a full cotract , we want to stay on pre paid.

Twitter for BlackBerry and WhatsApp both require subscription to the BlackBerry Data Plan, regardless of WiFi.

This isn't an issue. Notice the screen prior to the one that shows usage has an iCloud section and a Manage Storage button. For this button to activate ios needs to download a few kb from icloud. Switching back to this screen forces ios to download those few kb.

I can't access Instagram when I'm on cellular data, but with Twitter, Facebook, etc. I have no problems. I've tried restarting my phone, restarting the network settings, even reinstalling the app but nothing works. What should I do?

I just finished updating my iPhone 5 to iOS 8.0.2. It was working fine after a week, and then just yesterday, I couldn't access Instagram when I was on cellular data, but with Twitter, Facebook, etc. I had no problems. No, they cannot see this through Citrix. Citrix is only a 'window' for you to look into the company applications. You do not transfer info from the phone related to other activities.

I have a blackberry curve 8520, I manage to go on internet with it but only some sites (google, blogs...ect.)
But I can't go on any kind of social network (facebook., twitter, whatsapp, hotmail ...ect).
I have no credit on my sim card but I am on WiFi i shouldn't have to use credits !
I DON'T UNDERSTAND !

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
If you are attempting to use the apps for some of those, then those apps require you to have a proper data plan from your provider, even if the method of connection is via WiFi.
If you are attempting to use the web browser and have the ability to configure it for HotSpot usage (rather than pure BB Browser), then it should actually work. But, to be sure, what you should to is install a different browser -- Opera Mini works great, and will not require any data plan (it can work purely via WiFi). The native BB Browser is more complicated, and can at times not function correctly without a proper data plan in place, even if you are only using it via WiFi.

I am blocked from Twitter and YouTube and cannot find problem.

The NY Times may be blocking me from any access to Twitter.com and YouTube.com. NYTimes has a lawsuit vs. Twitter.com/#1/freeunnamednews. (NY Times knows my IP address since 2001. I have free access to NYTimes.com thru December 31, 2011.) A few NYTimes videos are posted on YouTube. Two days ago I lost all access to both YouTube and Twitter. My modem, dedicated DSL, computer and memory are OK and fast. This a.m. I installed Firefox and regained access to YouTube. I ran a NY Times video posted on YouTube. Next I ran the same video again at NYTimes.com. I lost access to YouTube again. I never regained access to Twitter.com. Nothing helps now - private browsing, request no tracking, etc. Do others have this problem?

Blocking Ad servers via etc/host file not working

In Snow Leopard I add a list of ad servers and direct them to 127.0.0.1 via the /ect/host file.
I've configured the host file on my mac mini server and it doesn't work.
i just want to block ads when using browsers ON the Mini.
How can I achieve this?

Yeah; that's an old-time Windows and Unix hack.
There are ad-blocking extensions for all major web browsers, and those are easier to manage and maintain.
Off the top, I'd have to check the search order to see if I was getting a response from remote DNS or from /etc/hosts here.
If you're running a Mac OS X Server box, you're hopefully also running DNS services, and if you're running DNS services, then that's going to be where this hackery gets implemented. Add bogus zones. And if DNS gets an answer from its cache, I wouldn't tend to expect it to go read /etc/hosts (for performance reasons), for that matter.
There may well be an ad-blocking DNS server around you can forward queries to, too; I haven't looked for that.
If you make changes to your local /etc/hosts setup, try issuing the following to clear the cache:
dnscacheutil -flushcache
I'd recommend installing an ad-blocker. /etc/hosts is an old-school approach and can end up causing weirdnesses on errors, particularly if your box is (also) a DNS server for your LAN. (Also realize that Apple isn't documenting the /etc/hosts file in the Mac OS X Server 10.6 networking manual.)

When i want to sign in on itunes it says my apple id is blocked. My email etc works well when it ask for my password

Lot of unwanted apps at each synchonization (Asphalt, Block Breaker Deluxe 2, etc...)

I've got a BB Curve 9300G.
Each time I synchronize it with BB desktop Sw, it adds me several apps I do not want:
Block Breaker Deluxe 2, Google Mobile App, AIM, Asphalt, Feeds Configs, etc...
Is it linked with BB AppWorld addition ?
Blackberry make such ads: "We want tools, not toys". So why force me to have those unwated and useless apps ?
How could I definitely get ridd of this ?
I want to optimize my space storage on my device.
Each time, I have to go in '"Annuaire de service" (sorry, I don't knwo exact US translation). and delete the unwanted apps & configs.

Directory of Service? What information are you synching with DM and your device?
I am not sure of some of the apps that you listed, but Social Feeds, Brick breaker usually come preinstalled with any OS. You should be able to delete the apps from your device by going though the Desktop Manager.
You can also log into App World (From your device) and go to My World, and manually delete the apps that you do not want installed.
Any app or program that doesn't appear in App World, usually means they were pushed by the carrier, or they have come pre-installed on the OS.

My iPhone 5 has some apps that are no longer highlighted - iCloud, FaceTime, Twitter, Facebook etc

Some apps are no longer highlighted on my iphone 5. They have always worked no problem previously. This morning iCloud, FaceTime, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr and Vimeo are no longer highlighted. I can use the apps but can't change any of their settings.

It claims I have 13.2 GB of messages...I just deleted so many of these last week and only have a few open threads with people. what can I do about this? Suggestions?

Dynamic elements don't render properly, twitter, facebook, etc.

Most simple webpages load just fine, but anything with dynamic content, sticky menu bars, text inputs that scroll, and other elements don't render properly. They load and then immediately disappear leaving just white space. Some sites will return eventually or load if scrolled to a certain point on the page. Other pages are fine on load but then once menus are loaded or the page is scrolled to a certain point the content disappears, only to return when the page is scrolled back to the top or the menu is closed.
For example, none of the divs on Twitter display content unless I scroll down about two page heights. Alternatively, my Facebook feed loads just fine until I start to scroll down, at which point the side bars and chat window lose content periodically. Now that I've typed enough in this text field to necessitate scrolling, I lose content if not at the top of the box. I had to stretch the field in order to eliminate scrolling.
I am running Firefox 30 on MacOSX 10.8.3. The issue does not present in Safari or on other computers on the same network with the same setup. I have tried clearing the cache, clearing cookies, updating Firefox, resetting Firefox, reinstalling Firefox, updating Flash, and updating Java.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.
