Blocked apple ID

Yesterday I received a message that my apple ID is blocked. I searched the web and forums and found a bunch of posts out there of people with same problem but no solution i.e. the solution is to send email to apple. Then I spend 30 minutes to find where to send an email but no luck.
My primary question is how to unblock my account?
Second question is why didn't I receive an email with the reason why my account is blocked, or why don't I see any reason when I try to downlaod apps. I only see a message thet my account is blocked and that I should conntact apple support team
It seems it is much easyer just to creare a new account then to spend all this time to find out how to unblock my account.
If I don't receive a solution that take up 5 mintes to get my applie id unblocked I will simpy create a new account.
Thanks

"My primary question is how to unblock my account?"
If changing your password does not work then you will need to contact itunes support.  Click Support at the top of this page, then click the link under Contact Us.
"Second question is why didn't I receive an email with the reason why my account is blocked,"
We are all itunes users just like you. No way for us to know this.
"It seems it is much easyer just to creare a new account then to spend all this time to find out how to unblock my account."
All of your purchases will always be tied to the original account.  All apps will have to be updated using that account and your comuters will have to be authorized to that account.
A new account is not the solution.

  • ALERT: CVS disabled NFC terminal to block Apple Pay in support of other Moblie payment systems

CVS has shut down their NFC machines in an attempt to block Apple Pay and Google wallet to support QR code wallet system with other major retail partners like Walmart and BestBuy.
Their technology not even close to being secure. Be sure to file complaints to CVS customer relations online. Just an FYI for you Apple pay folks who are trying to pay in CVS. It won't work. Lol. Plenty of articles online about it. Just a heads up for all you Apple Pay enthusiast.

I filed my complaint Friday with CVS due to the Retailer's own interest driving the Merchant Customer Exchange CurrentC Mobile Payment Product.  The Retailers primary focus is to reduce their payments to Visa and MasterCard.  The CurrentC Mobile Payment System is cumbersome at the Point-of-Sale, require QR Codes to be scanned by the Store Clerk or the Customer.  A second major focus of CurrentC is to collect personal information about the Customer for use in Retailer Marketing, unfortunately this data even includes personal Health Data.  I don't see Consumers flocking to the Retail Arena to use CurrentC.  The CurrentC Mobile Payment System began design and development back in 2011, but is not to market as yet.

  • Could Not Sign In:  A server problem is blocking Apple ID sign in.  Try signing in later.

After a successful iOS 5 upgrade to my iPhone 3GS, I began going through the setup wizard the phone takes you through upon initial use.  However, I'm unable to make it past the part where you are supposed to "Sign In with an Apple ID".  The steps to reproduce the problem are:
Click "Sign In with an Apple ID".
Per the "Have MobileMe and an ITunes Account?" instructions, I opt to type in my MobileMe e-mail address (e.g. [email protected]) and password.
    Click "Next".
    Specify birthday.
    Click "Next".
    Click "Agree".
    Click "Agree" on popup.
A popup error is produced which reads "Could Not Sign In:  A server problem is blocking Apple ID sign in.  Try signing in later.".
Click "OK" which takes you back to the initial sign in screen.
I have tried logging in since 2am ET.  It is now 8:17am ET.  The server should not be down for over 6 hours.  Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any assistance offered!

    Hi Natalie,
I was able to workaround this issue by clicking the "Skip" option on the first screen.  Afterwards, I went back and manually entered my me.com Apple ID in Settings | iCloud and my iTunes Apple ID in Settings | Store.  Doing it this way doesn't ask you to enter your birthday and I haven't yet found where that is supposed to be set.  However, everything appears to be working correctly without it.  Hope this helps!

  • Can i use a blocked apple id after 8 hours of waiting?

Can i use a blocked apple id for i tunes purchasing after 8 hours of waiting.

This isn't a live chat forum, if you were thinking that it was. You post your question, providing as much detail as you can, and then wait for one of us, who are mostly your fellow users, to see and read your question and offer suggestions. Such a reply may not arrive for a couple of hours or more depending on your question, so you'll need to be patient. You're almost never going to get a reply only a minute after you first post.
As to your question, what do you mean by "blocked"? "Blocked" how? And what leads you to believe that if the Apple ID has been blocked or disabled that it would somehow reactivate after 8 hours? Were you told by Apple Support that it would?

  • Something in my network is blocking Apple iOS updates, through iTunes, Direct Download, or on device..

Apologies if this is the wrong category, but I felt this might be more of a Network issue rather than something iOS related, so I wanted to ask the Mac guys rather than iOS where there will also be Windows users etc.
I have an iPhone 4S, iPhone 3GS, and 2x iPod touch 4th Gen all running iOS 5.0.1. I also have an iMac running 10.7.3 and all latest software (inc. iTunes), MacBook running 10.6.8, Time Capsule 1TB and a Netgear router provided by my UK ISP; Sky Broadband. I also have an Apple TV on 4.4.4 than needs updating to 5.0.
When attempting a software update on an iOS device itself (Over-The-Air updates) on my home network I cannot connect to the server, and get an error. Switching my iPhone 4S to 3G allowed me to find the 5.1 update, but not download it as it requires WiFi. Apple TV hangs on estimating time for download (I think).
I have also attempted to download the actual ipsw file from Apple Servers using links readily available on the net (through 'felixbruns'). I get the grey 'Safari could not connect to the server' style message. At one stage I connected to the Netgear router via WiFi rather than through the Time Capsule, and was able to connect to the direct link (although I paused it to try on iPhone). I have never since been able to connect to this direct link via any method.
While in the supermarket today I was able to connect to their free public WiFi and update my iPhone 4S successfully.
I have reset the Netgear router back to factory settings, along with the Time Capsule, and still cannot connect to download updates through either. I'm beginning to become paranoid that it's my ISP blocking the site, although that seems highly unlikely??
I have never had such an issue with software updates in the past 5+ years! This really confuses me, as I'm no novice Mac user...
    Any ideas..?

Thank you for the reply. I did try change my DNS server didn't seem to help.
When you are on iTunes and click on Help Menu highlight Run Disgnositcs choose Network Connectivity Test do you get any red buttons?
    Thanks for you help!!

  • Firewall blocks Apple's Network Time Protocol

    Hi,
I admit to not fully understanding everything about the Firewall on OS X server 10.4.11 and I'm hoping someone can help with a little(?) problem.
On the WAN side, my "gateway" server is connected directly to my SpeedTouch 780 modem with a fixed IP address. On the LAN side are a couple of switches and then an Airport Extreme base station (192.168.2.249). This broadcasts wirelessly to a more distant Airport Express (192.168.2.247). Both WiFi devices are configured to obtain the time from Apple's European servers.
After completing a Carbon Copy Cloner of my OS partition and rebooting on my usual volume I noticed the following denials in my Firewall log:
    Dec 28 12:50:16 nl1 ipfw: 65534 Deny UDP 17.72.255.12:123 192.168.2.249:3987 in via en0
    Dec 28 12:40:25 nl1 ipfw: 65534 Deny UDP 17.72.255.12:123 192.168.2.247:3814 in via en0
In SA --> Firewall --> Settings --> Services --> Edit Services for: 192.168.1-net (en0/modem connection)
I have the "Allow only traffic for: 192.168.1-net on these ports" checked and
NTP - Network Time Protocol UDP/TCP is also checked.
    Under, Edit Services for: any
I have the "Allow only traffic for: any" checked and
NTP - Network Time Protocol UDP/TCP is also checked.
Under, Edit Services for: 192.168.2-net (en1/LAN)
I have the "Allow all traffic for: 192.168.2-net" checked.
    1) Why is this traffic being blocked?
    2) Why does the port number seem to get changed in transit? (I've got NAT running and Open Directory).
    3) Does the configuration under, "Allow only traffic for: any" overrule all other Firewall settings? So if for example a port under, "Allow only traffic for: 192.168.1-net on these ports" wasn't checked but was under, "Allow only traffic for: any", would the traffic be allowed through?
    Thanks and happy new year!
    Michael Franks

Do you have NTP activated? Does it work? If it doesn't and you have the firewall activated, then open the required port. If it is working then don't worry about it.

  • Apple Mail blocks Charter email, which blocks Apple mail

I am running 10.6.8 on a 2008 Mac Pro. I was using MS Entourage as my email program. I want to upgrade to Lion/Mtn Lion, but my old MS Entourage or other Office programs won't work on that, so I decided to start using Apple Mail (version 4.6)
I get my email thru my ISP, Charter.net,
When Apple Mail is OPEN it will not connect to Charter email, and Charter email will not display or recieve or send any email, nor will Entourage (POP) or a MS Outlook (trial version). Apple Mail says it "cannot connect to the IMAP server," and it "cannot connect to the SMTP server."
I have set up Apple Mail correctly according to Charter: IMAP port 143, SMTP port 25, no SSL etc (default email reader Entourage, but I've tried Mail, Outlook, etc. …no change in my problem)
When I quit Apple Mail, the others will immediately access/send emails.
The problem seems to be that for some reason Apple Mail blocks Charter mail from connecting, but since that is where I get my email, Apple Mail is blocking itself, Entourage and Outlook from connecting to the IMAP/SMTP servers, therefore no mail service.
The strange thing is that now and again Apple Mail WILL connect—briefly—and mail will come in/go out, but then drops offline again.
I've been on the phone with Charter for a couple hours and had a service tech here this morning for an hour, but everyone is stumped. Of course none of them are very Mac-savvy, so that doesn't help.
    Can any of you help?

I've been having exactly the same trouble with my Charter E-mail Accounts.
I first use two of my existing Charter E-mail Accounts (which I have never used in years!). Set them up in Apple Mail (Snow Leopard 10.6.8, on my MacPro 4.1) as POP Accounts!
They did work sometimes, but now I can only receive mail.
Set up a new Charter E-mail Account, and used that to Set Up in Apple Mail as IMAP Account. It does NOT work at all, period, either way.
I've been on the phone with Charter Tech Support many, many, many times, for many hours, but nobody has a clue. They tell me to check their webpage for Set Up, which I don't need because I've been through the Set-up Procedure so many times already.
Then they tell me to call Apple Tech Support, which I cannot afford.
So, now I'm back to using my old DreamHost E-mail Accounts, which work just fine, after their Tech Support helped me to resolve some issues. They had me open Terminal, then Keychain. I tried all three Keychain Methods, which resolved the issues with DreamHost E-mail.
I'm going to try setting up my G-mail Account in Apple Mail and see what happens .....

  • Block Apple TV from accessing internet?

is there any way to disable internet access to my apple tv that is connected via ethernet yet still have it be able to access my network?
    i have a 1 gen 500gb time capsule.

I understood your question to be +"is there any way to disable internet access to my apple tv that is connected via ethernet yet still have it be able to access my network?"+
My answer was "there is not a (TC) setting to allow access to the local network while blocking access to the internet."
Since that setting does not exist, I offered the software as a possible option which could be installed on a computer to serve as monitor for the system. I know of no other options to accomplish what you want to do, but if they exist, I certainly hope that other users will come forth with additional information.

  • Cisco blocks apple mail

This is just to notify people. My emails out of my iCloud address have been coming back lately with MTA errors. After investigating this, Cisco systems is blocking @me.com address as originators of spam. I talked with Apple tech support and they claim there is nothing they can do about it. As more and more Cisco users start using Cisco's spam blocker my @me.com address will become worthless.

I have a GoDaddy account/domain (by the way, GoDaddy has terrible support for macs - my wife and I have had constant intermittant problems, and our IT told me that email support for macs at GoDaddy is very flakey, it's a known problem - I'm not talking about icloud in any way, just GoDaddy).
Any way, I do get emails from icloud accounts via GoDaddy, but as I said, it's flakey at times.  Like an email comes in, then suddenly disappears.  Restart my mac email client and then I see the email again.  Such email can come from any ISP, not just icloud.  But my wife emails me frequently via her icloud account, sending it to my GoDaddy hosted email account; it's definitely not blocked.
