Blocked from merging comments back to draft

My email review participants don't follow directions. They saved their comments back to my email, and forwarded it back to me, rather than using the Send Comments button. Now when I open their reviewed document and try to save their comments back to my original draft, I get the following message:
"The document selected is already part of a different review."
Is there anything I can do to overcome this?

In any case, it's not you, loads of people have the same problem: when I started using Sky News I had no problems but now I get the red flash along with loads of other people. ( It would be nice if Sky actually had a help desk but no, that would be much too easy. Keep checking, some clever person will sort it out eventually. )

Why can't i post a comment on the sky news web site, i tryto comment on a story, then go to post it and get a "an error has occured, please try again" message in red, it won't accept my comments, very odd, is it me, or is sky trying to tell me something.

Is it possible to get back to the Try block from a Catch block?

I would like to perform validations on a config file. To do so, I have a method which will throw a MissingConfigException or an InvalidConfigException if something is missing or if something doesn't match a regex pattern. Although I have to do that with many different configs and I would like to go through all of them so that my error message will report all missing / incorrect configs at once instead of 1 at a time. Thus, I wanted to know if there would be any way I could do something like:

and have the catch block executed before going through the try block from where the exception was thrown.

No, you can't jump back into the try. You can put your try/catch inside a loop though, so that if one fails, it will loop around and start a new try for the next one. Define a class that holds all the data you need to pass to validate, and make an array or List of those objects. Change or add a validate signature that takes this object, or just extract the strings from each one when you call validate.

A cell blocked from being merged

What would cause a cell to be blocked from being merged, such as cell # a26, with the cells immediately to the right?

You can hover over the Column A Label and click the disclosure triangle to get the column menu and select Delete column. That will eliminate the Header column. You can also delete it in the Table Inspector or the Table Menu.
As to why they put it there, well, that's the only place it can go and I guess they thought you would want a header column. It's a way of introducing the feature to new users. You can always make a User Template with a plain table for future use in new docs.

p.s. Numbers gives you plenty of options for avoiding having to merge cells and it's generally a good idea not to merge of split. The result of merging or splitting is often that you find that you are unable to sort, delete columns or rows, etc. later.

You can't merge comments using any of the Acrobat.com online services (ExportPDF, Adobe PDF Pack, and so on). But you can with an Acrobat subscription. Please see Adobe Acrobat X Standard * Publish comments from other reviewers from instructions.

Commenting Help (merging comments in from a email review)

I'm getting this error "You have already saved comments for this review in another file. You can use the review tracker to locate that file."
Here's what I did (Acrobat 8). I sent the pdf out for review, then got one set of comments back and opened that file and acrobat automattically registered it and merged the comments in. Then I got a second email back (they are saving them and sending them back as attachments in email.) and that one gave me the above error code. What went wrong? What does that error message mean?

I have a work account and a personal acount I don't want the bookmarks to sync, merge or back up to the cloud. Is there a way?

I have 2 pc's (one primary and one as a back up for work). I have on each a personal account and a work account. I seem to be unable to stop the accounts from merging (I don't want this) and I don't want anything in the cloud. Can this be resolved or will I have to use Mozilla on only one account? I really don't want to do that either. Thanks

Getting Text Messages from old iPhone Back Up into New iPhone

I kind of messed up when I got my new iPhone 4S and instead of making sure all my conversations and apps were synced properly over to my new iPhone, I basically just wiped out all my stuff from my old iPhone and lost all my app settings. Fortunately all my contacts and stuff were saved in my back up so I still have all my Text Messages, but they are in my old back up and I have used my new iphone for a while now so it also has a bunch of texts and stuff that I want to hold onto.
Is there any way that I can merge my old text messages from my old back up with the new text messages from my new "back up"? Or basically save my old text messages and then load them back onto my phone? Cause basically at this point I am restoring back and forth when I need info from my old text messages and then setting back to my current settings when I'm done.

No...one or the other...you either restore from your old backup or your new backup.

I need to call a package function from Merge instead of direct Insert.
Is is possible?
Instead of Insert:

        Merge into EMP em using DUAL
            On (em.EMP_ID = c1.EMP_ID)
            When Not Matched Then

    No, merge statement is not meant for it. It is meant for combining multiple DML operations.

Calling anonymous block from Unix

I have a very simple block of code I'm calling from a wrapping ksh script, it works well but I'm having a hard time getting output from PL/SQL back to my ksh script.
Output from $OUT1 is none
Please advise.

Try calling Tech Support, they should be able to check to see if theres a lock and try to help you reset it, I had to call and get my account unflagged, for something that I didn't even do.

Is it possible to transfer subclips from merged clips to their references?

we're editing a documentary on a mac OS X 10.8.5 and we've been having a lot of trouble with ppro 7.2.2, particularly with merged files.
first we wanted to log by using marker-notes, but they don't work with merged files. so we made subclips out of the merged clips, only to find out that those subclips can't be edited correctly either.
so now the only workaround is to kick out the merged files and edit only with camera sound, and merge the clip in the end after editing (with pluraleyes).
because subclips seem to work only when they're not made from merged clips.
...but the problem is they were all made from merged clips!!
is they're anyway to transfer those subclips to their references, so to the unmerged movie-file they were merged with?
hoping not to lose all my work by having to make all the subclips again. thanks!

Blocked from websites??

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this, so apologies if it isn't, but I seem to consistently get blocked from various websites...
I'm connecting through a broadband connection through a belkin router. if I switch the router off and then back on again I can get to the sites in question, but after loading 2 or three pages from the site I once again get 'blocked' and the site times out. I don't have this problem on any other computer/connection and if I cloak my IP address I can get to the sites OK. I do however need 'proper' access to these sites as they contain important accounts of mine so accessing them via a cloaked IP isn't satisfactory.
It seems as though something in the router is blocking access. Does anyone have any ideas how I can stop this happening? Is there a setting in the router configuration that may be causing this?
G5 PowerMac Dual 2Ghz. 2.5GB RAM. Mac OS X (10.4.8)

OK... Some specifics.
The site I always get blocked from is spreadshirt.net, I also sometimes get blocked from tiscali.co.uk and occasionally the iTunes Store (either via iTunes itself or via my web-browser). If I cloak my IP address then I can access them or if I power-off and then power-on my router I can access them again. Although I can only ever get to a few pages on the spreadshirt.net site before being blocked out again.
My ISP is plusnet and the router I'm using is a Belkin ADSL Modem with Wireless-G Router, I don't use the wireless side of it but have it connected via an ethernet cable. The model No of the router is F5D76324.
