Blocked number coming through as text but...

I have blocked a number and the block is due to be renewed in March 2014. This morning, a text from the blocked number came through as a download. When I went to retrieve the download, I got a message from my phone stating that the download was expired and the text disappeared from my text log. I have a Galaxy S3. Please advise.

@link tags coming through as Text kind

Hiya -- I'm writing a doclet from scratch (not extending the Standard doclet). For some reason, @link tags in source code are coming through as Text tags when my doclet gets them. It was working at one point (with my doclet), but somewhere along the way, I've lost the link tags. Could this have happened when I starting using my own Configuration class?

Could you provide us with some proof that this bug exists so that we can fix it? Exactly which version of javadoc are you using? I tested 1.4.2-beta today and it worked fine. Try running my test:

Any app to block number from calling and texting me?

Blocked number got through

I blocked a number from calling/texting my phone. I recently received a picture message from them. I was under the impression that by blocking their number I was also blocking picture and video messages. Is there something they could have done to get around this? Is there something more I can do to ensure they do not continue to contact me? Thanks!

They could possiblty be texting from the Verizon web site. This is the only carrier I know that allows text messages to be sent without a phone number from the sender.
Plus even if the number is entered, I am not sure messages sent from the web would be blocked without the web texting block being activated.
Forget about all I just wrote I see it was a picture message.Maybe since it is a picture message and not a 'text' message that allows messages to arrive.

I blocked a particular phone number from contacting me yet they were able to send a text message yesterday. What's the deal?

Do you more than one mobile number for that person in your contacts? Could they be messaging you from a second one that you didn't block?
Have you talked to Verizon since this problem started?

IPhone 3G S - Calls not coming through. Text Message Delays in NYC

I know it's not a down tower.. I was just transfered to a "Tier-2" ATT tech rep.
Here's my problem.. Between 25-50% of my calls are not showing up on my phone, they just go straight to voicemail.
I upgraded from the 3G 16gb to the 3G S 32GB yesterday and noticed these side effects immediately after activating through iTunes. The tech re-activated my phone to the new sim card and had me reset my network settings through general -> reset -> reset network settings..
Before I go and bring my 3G S back to the store and
a) Exchange it
b) Return it all together
Has anyone else experienced these issues? I also noticed text messages have been delayed anywhere from 20 minutes to a few hours.

I am seriously disappointed here.
I own the black 32GB iPhone 3GS and have been an iPhone user since the original iPhone 2G in 2007. I have upgraded my iPhones every year and religiously use Mac products. I am not a fan boi. Mac products work for me.
Except the 3GS.
I need so help here.
I purchased the 3GS not because of the 3G data advantage but because of the video recording features and the compass and the general battery life enhancement.
Let me give you a run down.
I have 4 email accounts: MobileMe-Push, AOL- Fetch, Yahoo-Push and Gmail on fetch.
I have 1,465 songs, 13 videos and 1497 photos. Of those, only 5 were taken by the 3GS' camera. I have 17GB free. I don't rush to fill space. I have 46 application installed.
Now there are three things that are happening that never happened on the other phones that have me deeply disturbed and praying that Apple issues a fix because this is serious!!!
I got the phone about 3 weeks after its launch.
It burns through the battery and that incoming call issue.
I use the term 'burn' because the phone does get hot and it has never lasted more than 1 day in standby.
However, all of that stops when I turn the push notifications and push email off.
When I turn push notification off for Beejive and I turn push off for Yahoo! and MobileMe and restart the iPhone, I realize on a full charge it lasts long. I get all my calls and text and everything.
But that is an inconvenience.
I, like many iPhone users, have opted to not sync my contacts through iTunes but use MobileMe instead. Not only that, but Apple's MobileMe 'Find My iPhone' feature only works with the push services on.
All of this is with 3G services turned off in the Network settings. I prefer to use the Edge as I have a 10 Mbps wifi network readily available and I don't require the speed for YouTube so much as I listen to music and rarely use the online video service.
With Push email on and Beejive push notifications on, I do not receive any calls. Callers hear my line ring twice then it goes to voicemail. I don't even get the voicemail notification until hours after. Same thing with text. I always get delayed text whenever I make a call.
Wasn't it Apple's idea to do push notification as compared to background processing to save battery life? So must I chose between push notifications and push email and being able to receive my phone calls? And what's the use of use push notifications when it eats battery life anyway? How come the 3G and the 2G running 2.2.1 give this problem. And Apple insults people when they tell us to turn Push notification of! I NEED my push emails. I do business with contacts in IM and if they didn't want to give us background processes why make a big deal about push notification and profess that it doesn't use all that battery life? Why is it 2.2.1 never gave these problems.
AT&T ***** but it is not all their fault. I know this is an iPhone issue because when I put the SIM card in another phone, it works perfectly.
I did not upgrade to 3.0 to have to chose between push email and receiving calls and battery life. The 3G worked just fine. The 2G worked just fine.
I seriously hope that 3.1 addresses this because this is utter nonsense!
The iPhone is the best in it's class otherwise I would have seriously ditched it long time and gotten a Pre or an Android phone but they are not close. Their app offering ***** and the iPhone's keyboard is really good. (I'm a God with that thing!)
Give me a 2.0 for my 3GS and let me at least live with push email and be able to receive calls.

Blocked number getting through

I block a certain phone number within the 90 day expiration window and still get text messages and calls from this number, anyone else experience this? How do I make it stop permanently?

Oh wow! I'm curious as well why this is happening. What type of phone do you have? If you have an iPhone, they'll still be able to send iMessages. You can set iMessages to only receive them from your contacts, then you'll have to delete that number from your phone Settings > Notifications > Messages > Scroll down to show iMessage alerts from, “My contacts only.”
If you have a different phone, do you use any 3rd party apps for calls & SMS? Is the number still showing blocked on My Verizon?

How is a blocked number still sending me text messages?

I don't know. This is my first iPhone. Had number blocked through Verizon customer service Sunday but still receiving texts today. Showed blocked online but apparently also needed to block number directly on my iPhone. Should work now hopefully.

IPhone 5 YouTube sound is coming through Ear-Speaker (Not from main speaker).

I’m using Safari and Chrome to watch YouTube videos, but this morning I realize that sound is very low, later I realized that sound is coming through ear-speaker and main speaker is not working for YouTube media. Any advice?!?
Everything else is working perfect, music, ringtone, alarm all sounds coming through main speaker but all safari and chrome media is using Ear-Speaker. Really frustrating, I really think that buying iPhone5 was mistake.

I Have a similar problem occurred on my iPhone 5 , after install iOS 8 I can hear by ear speaker but the mic didn't work also volume bottoms didon't work,

your code looks fine. just ensure that the warehouse code and batch you are specifying , do exist in owhs and oibt tables respectively, with the specified quantity. ( and the best way to check it is, try stock transfer from UI with the same parameters.)
also, may be off topic, but, before specifying batch lines, you need to ensure that items are managed by batch or not )

Calling a number attached to a text

i have recently moved from a 6300 to an e51 device
when i received a text from 118 directory enquirys on my 6300 with a number pasted into the message body i could hit the green call key and dial the number straight from the text but i am unable to do it on the e51
any ideas as i am a lorry driver and cannot pull over to write the number down on eah occassion and i use this 20 times a week approx

when you have the text go to message details then you can call from the list there

I've disabled roaming so it only runs on wifi (this after getting a £4k phone bill...) and I can use Skype, Viber and WhatsApp with no problem at all.

Hi there - am with Orange and they said nothing wrong with account and service running normally. They said if they had cut me off I would've received a text (debatable with current message receiving situation!) and when I called out it would say 'calls from this number are barred'. Also if you called me it would say something similar. But it doesn't, it will ring and ring until it rings off but nothing happens at all on my handset. Not even a missed call notification. If I call out, it will display that it is calling the number but that's it. If I cancel the call it will constantly display 'ending call'. If I come out of the phone and go to another app then revist phone it will start calling that last dialled number - without ever getting as far as ringing or connecting.

I have a new 5s - my text messages are coming through on my I-pad but not my new phone - why?

My 5s developed a fault so Apple gave me a new phone - backed it up with I-cloud but now my text messages are only coming through on my I-pad not my phone and can't work out why?

We want to provide you all the answers that you need. Verizon Messaging is a great application that we offer. When you logged into the website for the messages did you sign out when you were done? If not it still may assume you are online and wanting to receive messages.

Blocking Texts but allow phone calls from specific number?

I have done some research but have not found what I'm looking for.
I would like to be able to block a specific number from sending me text messages but I would still like to be able to receive phone calls from them. It seems to be a unique situation. I'm not sure if it is something Verizon can handle or if it's available in a third party App? Thanks for any info you can provide. I have an HTC Droid Incredible if that matters.

I know that the free number blocking offered by Verizon Wireless will block both calls and texts from the blocked numbers.
There might be something in the Play Store, but I'm not aware of any specific applications.
