Blocked Stock Sub-Categories

Is there a way to be able to view and manage blocked stock into sub-categories. We have material blocked for several reasons and would like to be able to view different categories of that stock type?

There are no subcategories to a stock type.
And you will not be able to use MMBE if you develope any workaround. and if you develope a workaround, then you have to develope a new MMBE as well to fit to your developement.
Classification can only work if you use batch management.
BMBC cockpit can then be used to see stocks according to classification.

Transfer blocked stock between plants.

Hi everyone !
Pls. I need to transfer blocked stock from plant A to plant B.
The point is stock must be blocked in plant A and then I have to transfer to plant B, but stock must always be blocked just to avoid the selling process.

if you want do it with SD deliveries, then the answer is: not possible
but pure MM movements........
By changing the field selection for movement type 325 you can open the field 'receiving plant'. this will then allow a plant to plant movement of blocked stock. Whether you should do it or not is of course up to you.
I doupt that it is possible to do a 2-step movement for blocked or QI stock, because the 303 post the quantity to transfer stock. And transfer stock has no sub categories like QI or blocked. It is on the same level.
There is an OSS note 448761, it is for another transaction, but it might help you a bit to understand.

There are not two-step movement types for blocked stock since no stock in transit, quality inspection exists .

Blocked Stock for Returns

Hi
I would like to know how can make the receipt of Goods against the returns ,directly to the Blocked Stock.
right now it is going to return stock. what are the settings required for this.

Hi,
You can control this by using the proper movement type.
Movement type is controlled through item category --> schedule line category.
Check your settings in:
SPRO --> SD --> Sales --> Sales Documents --> Schedule lines
- Define Schedule Line Categories
- Assign Schedule Line Categories
(after that of course you have to allow the item category for the SO type, and set the proper item category for the item when creating the return sales order).

GR Blocked stock process in Inbound delivery.

Hi All,
I want to do the GR blocked stock process through inbound delivery.
But while i create Inbound delivery, system is automatically picking 101 movement type.
How to proceed.

Check in
Spro -> sd -> sales -> sales documents -> sales docu item -> define item categories
Here i think the entry for your Z item category is not done, please take the help of your SD personnel & the issue should be resolved.

Report for material moved from blocked stock to unrestricted stock

Is there a standard report in WM showing list and qty of materials moved from blocked stock to unrestricted stock.

It would have been easy if there was a specific WM movement type for such transfer but due to the reason that the WM 309 is connected to various IM movement types, there is no direct report to get this information.
Conversely, you may use MB51 with the combination of the WM managed storage location and movement type for your purpose. If there are multiple storage locations assinged to the same warehouse then you may put a range in the selection criteria.

Post serialized part from free to block stock with a follow up action

Hi,
I try to post a serialized part from free to block stock, but the standard function modules QMLR_FREE_TO_BLOCKED_STOCK, QMLR_FREE_TO_BLOCKED_STOCK_ST2 work good with not serialized parts, but it doesn't works with serialized one.
I create quality notification with serial number reference in RQM00-SERIALNR field, when I execute the follow-up function the M7175 error message appears.
Someone know a solution to this issue?

Hi The standard FM will not update the serial no for the material. So when you are doing the material movement through follow up action system can not move the material with out serial no. So you can change the functional module aith help of abaper to fetch the data from quality notification field.

Report to check the valued GR block stock

Hi,
I used movement type 107 to receive the PO with indicator 'Origin Accept', and would like to check how many stock I have received to the valued GR block stock.
Anyone tell me which report I can use? I've checked the stock report under IM, but haven't found it.

You can extract month end stock report for Blocked stock.
MARD - Storage Location Data for Material
MARDH - Material Master Storage Location Segment: History
Field : SPEME - Blocked stock
LFMON - Current period (posting period)
By using MARD, you will get current available blocked stock.
By using MARDH, You will get previous months month end Blocked stock level.

Go to MB51, here select plants and in posting date give the date range
and in movement type give the 103 - GR to Block Stock
343 - TR Blaock to Unrest
349 - TR Block to Inspection
do some excel work.

Blocked stock on a particular past date.

In SAP is there any T code which will tell about, what is the total block stock in inventory during a particular past day.
I am not asking the qty moved to blocked stock on particular day. That we can get thru MB51 mvt types.
In MMBE, it will tell what is the blocked stock of particular material today. But I want to know what was the total blocked stock of particular material 5 days back.
Example: 31.01.08 I got, Mat X- 100 pcs in blocked stock.
12.01.08- Mat X- what was the stock.
I know our MMBE stock is dynamic and it changes time to time. Is there any logic to capture a previous day blocked qty.
A day for me means. 6.00am morning of that day. this I am mentioning because, stock can vary any time in a day.
I request someone to put, some vague idea so that I can also do brainstorming.

Thats what I was also thinking to do.
I have to see whether (summation of all 350 + 344 mvt type ) subracted by (summation of all 343 +349 mvt type) wrt a particular date.
But this will cause inconsistency if unexpected movement types come into picture future.
Is there any option to bring MMBE T code in notification action box. If so what is the functional module for that.

Stock without Blocked Stock

Is there any report in which we can get the total stock as on date which will not include the blocked stock qty.

something like "MB5B ignoring blocked stock" is not available.
if you need to know the quantity at a day in the past without consideration of blocked stock, then you have to develope a report like MB5B yourself.
or you do it the easy way: just execute MB52 as background job and save the spool files.
or create a small ABAP to write the stock dayly from MARD(and some other tables) to a Z- table

T code QA11, quantity can not be posted to blocked stock

For Inspection lot with system status is INSP RREC SPRQ, when user tries to perform QA 11 to post stock to blocked stock the system does not allow as "to blocked stock field" is greyed out and also can not chnage the storage location on that screen.
I have checked the material already exists in the WH/storage location also inspection charachterstics are corrct not sure what else to check.please advise.

Does not seem like authorisation restriction since user is able to process other QA11 for the same plant/WH and storage location. Does not seem like customisation either since all " Quantity to be posted "options and storage location are greyed out under inspection lot stock Tab
After Accept atleast system should allow posting to "unrestricted stock " but thats not available either.
For the same material/plant/WH, I am able to sucessfully post stock when system status is -REL CALC SPRQ but in this case the status is -INSP RREC SPRQ, what does this signify.Please help

GRN to Blocked stock and Excise Invoice

First the material truck comes to the factory gate and the security enters in the sheet and informs to stores regarding the truck with materail for the sample quality check.the stores inform to quality and the sample is checked by the quality and send the results to the stores.If the material is ok then the vehicle come in to factory and if else it's poor quality then the vehicle is sent back as it is called as first level quality
if the material rejected then it will be sent back but no excise capture will be entered.
              if the material is approved from the stores then the entry will be done in the normal system with the excise capture.and GRN then the material again go for second quality for the total lot.
   Stores Deptt. checks all the document such as Invoice Original Copy, Transpoter Copy for CENVAT Credit, form31 (where applicable), P.O. reference and Storage Space etc.
                           How to track the material with the excise and GRN entry when it comes at the gate with first quality and second quality.if i put the material into the block stock.or any other way to take care of this process

You can do the Goods receipt in two steps using movements 103 & 105.
In 103 the GR is odne inot GR-Blocked stock, but no accounting documents are trigerred.
If the material is rejected in first quality chek you can revese the same with 104.
If the Material is correct & you have taken the material in use movemnt 105, referncing the 103 Material document. Here you can capture the excise invoice & other details. Accounting document gets generated.
You can track the process using MB51 Material document report for 103 & 105 movements.
