Blocked users keep appearing in my contact list .....

I have blocked and deleted 2 users from my contact list , one of those keeps appearing in my contact list , no matter how many times I remove the name it keeps re-appearing ..
Why can't I permanently delete this person I even reported them but its no use they keep coming back .. Can't something be done about this ?? \I imagine from other posts I have read this happens to others as well ,.. HELPPPPP me get rid of them once and for all .. I shouldn't have to create a new profile just because of this

I have the same problem. A complete stranger trid to contact me with an indecent picture, I immediately blocked him, embarrassed that picture is on my computer.

I have an iphone 4. Strange contacts i.e 'EM. Yeeu, Kieu, Sep. Hai' keep appearing in my list of contacts. It is possible to delete the numbers attached to each of these but not the names. @Naiks, having suffered through unsuccessful synching attempts for Calendar and Contacts myself, l would suggest you try the following:
UNINSTALL iCloud control panel from your PC. Seems silly, but do it.
Go into Outlook, and look at the very top menu. Click FILE, then ACCOUNT SETTINGS, then click the popup box.
You will see a list of all your email accounts. Make sure that ONE of them has a checkmark against it. If not, select the account your want as your default, and click "set as default.
Exit out of Outlook and reboot your machine.
Now reinstall iCloud, check CALENDAR and CONTACTS, and do as instructed when prompted.
Reboot for good luck and now launch OUTLOOK. All that remains is to locate your iCloud Contacts and Calendar files, and make them your default.
IMPORTANT: Don't panic if you can't find your contacts -- they're there. Click CONTACTS and you'll see you have several available contact files. Locate the one label "iCloud" in grey type. Right-click on it, select PROPERTIES, then click the Outlook Address Book tab. Check the box that says something like "Make this my default Outlook Address Book." Keep clicking "apply" and "okay" until you've exited out of the dialog box maze.
You may have to do something similar with your Calendar files. I dd not, but if you need to, do it.
Everything should now sync pretty seamlessly.

Newly added contacts don't appear in my contact list.

I recently upgraded from a iPhone 3GS to a 4S. When I add a new contact on my phone it does not appear in my contact list. If I go to a new text message and type the name it appears as a suggestion and I can select it that way. I'm unable to edit the contact as it does not appear under my contact list. I have synced in through iTunes and even restored it. The numbers still do not show up in the contact list. I've also attempted to log into iCloud and the names do not appear there either. I've turned the contacts off under the iCloud settings and nothing changed. I still cannot see my newly added contacts in my contact list. Please help as I have tried everything I know and have no luck. It alsmot feels as though my numbers are being added to a "hidden" place. Thanks in advance!

I've never done a sync with any program other than iTunes and iCloud. My groups are displayed in the left corner and they are all selected (I acutally just made up the groups today while messing with this whole issue so there aren't even contacts added to groups yet) and showing.

Don't understand your problem... Contacts sync with a compatible address book or cloud service. Contact records can contain names, addresses, phone numbers, e-mail addresses, notes, or any combination of these. If you have records you don't want in your address book that you don't want in your contacts, then segregate them into groups in your address book and only sync the group(s) you want. If you don't want them there at all, then delete them.

No contacts in Lync 2013 client and not appearing in others contact lists

I hope someone might be able to help out with this problem, I've been at it for weeks with no luck. I've migrated from Lync 2010 to 2013. All users have been successfully migrated and everything is working for them, except for one user (which i me unfortunately).
When I sign into Lync from any device (desktop, laptop, windows phone, iphone) I do not see any contacts in my organization, but I can find any of the contacts if i search for them. I also don't appear in anyone else's contact list, but they can find me if
they search.
I have tried disabling and removing my account from Lync server, uninstalling and reinstalling the Lync client on my machine, cleaning up all the Lync folders and registry keys on my machine. Nothing seems to get me any closer to getting this fixed.
I did find a discussion
here that is exactly the problem I'm having, but I don'e see a solution there either.
Has anyone else seen this before? Any suggestions or ideas would be very appreciated.

I am afraid your Lync account lose the user data contact list when you move user from Lync Server 2010 to Lync Server 2013.
Please try to move the user back to Lync server 2010 to check if the contact list is stored.
You can use the tool DBIMPEXP.exe to back up specific user’ data from Lync Server 2010 and import the data to Lync Server 2013 with the command Import-CSUserData which is introduced in Lync Server 2013.
Before you import the data, you need to use the command Convert-CSUserData to convert exported user data to the data format used by Microsoft Lync Server 2013.

Blocking users from syncing calendars and contacts from itunes

Is there a way to block users from syncing the corporate GAL and their Outlook calendars from their company computer?

Thanks for the answer Simon. That seems simple enough but there are some things which aren't clear.
If I create accounts on the server for the users independently (ie not ownership of the home folder) they're going to have different UID's. Surely this means that even with the same account name and password, they're going to be treated as unique users. Does that not affect who has write access? I don't know how the Calendar and Contact servers work so this may be irrelevant.
How do you "have the server host their calendar and contact details"? Copying the files for the existing local users to the new users on the server will leave them with invalid permissions.
I have read that using the Calendar and Contact components of Server.app is not a supported way of syncing across machines and that they're intended to be used for shared information rather than syncing. But maybe there is no way to avoid an "unsupported method" without moving the home folder. Is this a method you're using?
I'll do a bit of testing with this but would also be grateful for any additional hints.

When i delete a number it still appears in the contact list when i want to send a text why is this?

When i deleted my friends old number, i deleted her contact all together and created a new contact with her new number. Now when i go to create a text when i type in her name it brings up both numbers and i cant seem to permanently delete the old number from that list. But when i check contacts there is only one number there which is her new one i saved.

I took a picture and add it to a contact. Now that picture only appears on the contact list but I can't find it anywhere else in the ipod and I can't share it. How do I recover it?

I took a picture a few days ago and I linked it immediately to a contact. Now I'm looking for it in order to share it but it doesn't appear on my pictures, I can only see the small version linked to the contact I assigned it to. Is there a way to recover the full version of that picture in order to share it? Thanks!

- Did you sync after you took the picture? If yes could you have copied it to your computer and then deleted it from your iPod? Have you looked on your computer?

New contacts not appearing in contact list after ios upgrade

I recently updated my iphone to the latest ios, since then when I have saved a new contact to my phone, even though it appears with the new contact, say in recents, it does not appear in my contacts list?

I added the contact from the "Recents" tab. It now shows in "recents" as that persons name - rather than just the phone number, but doesn't appear in my contact list. Same thing happened when I saved a new contact from a message I received & also when I saved from a contact that had been SMS'd to me.

After setting up my contact list Favorites on my 5c (7.0.4), most contacts that I picked as Favorites are not appearing on my Mac contacts list. Little help?

I am syncing via iCloud.
For instance:
I have my wife listed in my Contacts list on my phone. I hit the button to add her to my Favorites and she is added, appearing on the Contacts list and Favorites list. No problems there, that's how it should work.
However, when I go to my Mac and sync my Contacts in to the Contacts app via icloud, everyone from my iPhone is in the Contacts app except for my wife and a few other people listed as Favorites. 7 of 9 (Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero-One) of my Favorites don't sync over to my Mac.
Any ideas why?
My Mac is running Mavericks but the problem existed with Mountain Lion as well.

Have you checked the filtering option in contacts? Open contact menu button > filter. Perhaps you have a filter hiding the contacts.

Cannot Delete a contact in Outlook Shared Contact List

I have a user who has a Shared Contact List in Outlook 2010.
He is added as Publishing Editor to the list. Whenever he tries to delete a contact from the list after the sync the contacts appears again.
These are the sync logs found in the sync folder:

So basically as owner of the contact list he is unable to delete the contact.

Please performing the deleting action as Administrator for testing if it is convenient.
If we can do this via Administrator, it should be an permission issue. Please double check whether we modified the owner's permission.
According to the log said, I found a point "There is not enough memory available to perform the operation."
Can we add a contact via Owner?

Duplicate contact list - Nokia 1662 - how do I cha...

I just got a new Nokia 1662 - I copied all my contacts from my sim card to the phone but now all contacts appear twice on the contact list (once from the sim, once from the phone memory). Is there any way to change this so that only the numbers stored on my phone appear in my contact list? I checked the options tab but there does not seem to be an option that would allow me to make this choice. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is no reason to keep them on the SIM if you transferred them to the phone.

When I add contacts from text messages they don't show up in my Contacts list.

Right, I hope I didn't miss another thread. Nothing appears in my contacts list when I try to save numbers from text messages. The only way to save a contact is to type it manually. But the "save to contacts" option is there, so where is it actually saving all those numbers ?

Thanks for the question. Let’s check to make sure all of your groups are being displayed. It is possible that your new contacts are defaulting to a group that is hidden. With the Contacts application open, do the following to make sure that all groups are checked:
Show or hide a group. Tap Groups, then select the groups you want to see. This button appears only if you have more than one source of contacts.

How to clear "recent" contacts listed automatically as you type email addresses in

Hi everyone. When I go to type the address of an email I get as far as the first letter and a list of "recent" email addresses pops up, which is handy except for some reason the first one is a combination of two emails address, one I know and one I only vaguely recognise as possibly being a former student who might have been on a mailing list of mine at one time. This combo of emails addresses doesn't appear in my contact list or address book on its own, but since it shows up as I start typing my husband's email, I'm sure there has been a time or two where I've just selected it to autocomplete the address field, and ended up sending something probably embarrassingly personal to not just my husband but this other person as well. How do I go in and clear out my icloud's memory of past-sent emails? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
