Blocked with TIFF format when sending

Hello,
I've been stuck with a little problem for 2 days.
My printer is the CANON ir1024if multifunctions.
When I want to send something by e-mail I can't choose another format than the TIFF one.
The weird thing is that I have two of them, they have exactly the same parameters and with the other one I can choose PDF.
And even weirder, if I don't choose an e-mail adress I can change the format to PDF and then choose an e-mail address and it works this way....
I also know that TIFF is forced with an "I-FAX address" (read it from the manual) but my adresses are just e-mail addresses exactly the same that the other one so does somebody know how can I change the "format" of my e-mail addresses ?

It was the address contacts that were not in a good format I reimport the addresses from the other multifunctions and that's it !

Keeping PDF form format when sending via email

Hello, I have created a form using Adobe LiveCycle. It contains a submit button to send the filled out form to a recipient via email. After numerous draft attempts the form gets converted into an .XML format when it is attached to a new email message. I want the form to stay as a PDF but LiveCycle indicates the form would need to be sent to an HTTP address. I don't have such an address.
Is there some way to force the form to keep its PDF format and be sent via email by the push of a button?
(I know that you can click File--attach to Email to but I would like to avoid that method). Thank you.

A #1: Yes, you can use the standard button, set the format to "PDF" and supply the mailto:[email protected] and it will use the client side email software to attach and send the PDF. Note: You will need to enable usage rights on the PDF to allow Adobe Reader users to submit whole PDF format. Normally Adobe Reader users are only allowed to submit the data formats, XML and XDP for LiveCycle forms, and HTML, XFDF and FDF for Acroforms.
A #2: You can also bypass client-side email software such as OUTLOOK, if you set the submit button action to a URL of a server-side script, such as PHP or ASP.Net. The script could generate an SMTP message, and attach the submission without the use of client-side email software. By using a server-side script, the PDF submission process is almost fool proof.

Problem with date format when ask prompt web-intelligence

Bo XIR2 with 5 SP. Instaled on Windows 2003 with support Russian.
Inside BO every labels, buttons - use russian. But when invoke web-report and Prompt appear there is problem with date format.
Looks like korean format of date 'jj.nn.aaa H:mm:ss'. I see system settings of date in Win .. everything right
What i have to do?

Text/html processing error with Acrobat Reader when sending to database

Hi everyone,
I have a problem that occurs in certain versions of the Acrobat Reader, with Acrobat Professional the error message does not pop up.
In Acrobat Reader however, when sending the form to a php file to fill a database an error pops up
"Content type text/html couldn´t be processed"
Nevertheless it works fine, except the fact that the confirmation "successfully sent" that should pop up (and does in Acrobat Professional) does not appear due to this processing error. What can I do?

See this discussion where event.target.path.toString().substring(0, 4); was used to get the first four letters of the path. If that equalled "http", then the form was opened in a browser.

Broken text or unknown format when sending email from BB Z10

I have setup POP account for my office email, when ever i tried to send email from this account reciever is getting different format and signs like between one words = is insterded (que=y) r is missing and = sign is insterded automatically at other end.
But when i am sending from Gmail or hotmail account no issue and complaint.Only from my office email setup which i am using by POP.
please advice what is the issue i have tried my best to solve it but nothing happens.

Issue with voting buttons when send externally

Hi everybody,
I have an issue when I want to send voting buttons externally, they disappear. Internally everythink is OK.
I have only one exchange 2013 in my company. The recipients have also exchange 2013 or someone has office 365.
Into remote domain info : there is nothing in TNEFEnabled for default (*) but if I try to create another remote domain with this value at $true. It doesn't work too.
Someone has an idea to resolve that?

Problem with EXCEL format while sending a mail with excel attachment

Hi,
I'm trying to send a report through mail as an excel attchment. But though I get all the details in the attachmnet format in excel is not proper. It's in a very hapazard way. I tried putting control break statements after each record then also though there is slight betterment it's not ok. If I send the same thing as a pdf attachment it's perfect. May I know what else i need to do for excel.....? I tried compressing and then sending no luck......
I'm in version 4.6c.....

Problem with data format when getting from a database

I'm trying to get a date from the database but the problem is that it also return the time. I have tried to change the format of the date when retrived from my database but it still returns the time.
Any solutions?

Problem with expected formats when using Java

I am having an issue with some java code trying to run an insert or update function in a custom java app. The issue is appearing when I am using custom objects 1 and 3.
I have created the java classes in Axis without any problems.
In custom object 1:

Hi, this is a naming issue on co3 if you use axis, co3 has somehow a upper letter where co1 and co2 does not, check for the inconsistency and change it accordingly should work.

Problems with default ports when sending email from Mail

Anyone know how to get around this, when trying to send an email from Mail on my Mac? : "Connections to the server ' ' on the default ports timed out. Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent."
It appears when connected to my new wifi at home. Incoming mails appears.

The default email account selection is when you are outside of the Mail client only.
If you are in your MobileMe account's Inbox or Sent mailbox when selecting new message, your MobileMe account is the default account used, and the same for your work account.

When I forward a message with pictures/formatting, it all turns to text. Where do I set an option to HTML instead of text?

I can forward the message with the formatting when I use "the other browser" by choosing OPTIONS, then HTML. I don't see how to do this in Firefox and it all turns to plain text.

I believe that if you turn off "Send As SMS: off in the settings, it should only attempt to send as an iMessage and should fail if iMessage is unavailable. It tries to send an iMessage a few times and then if unable, it will send as an SMS if you have that turned on.

Fax Off-Ramp : Tiff Format Problem

I'm actually configuring Fax Off-Ramp on a Cisco 2811 Router
When I sent an e-mail without attachement, it's working fine
When i sent an e-mail with a TIFF File encoded by the Cisco On Ramp Script, it's working fine
When I sent an e-mail with a Tiff File encoded by another programs, it's not working
The Tiff Cisco Encoding Method is CCITT Group 3 2D(T.4 2D)
The Tiff encoding method of other application is CCITT Group 4 2D (T.6 2D)
Is there a method to encode the Tiff File when sending an email to the Router ?

I don't think there is any other method to encode the TIFF file while sending the email. Only the cisco's encoding method seems to work.

Converting a pdf-document in a tiff-formatted document

You can potentially use the Adobe bean library with the Batik.jar file to convert the PDF to TIFF or any other image format.
The Adobe bean library is available from

Wrong date format when creating a universe based on a MS Analysis cube

Hi,
When creating a universe based on a MS Analysis 2008 cube the date objects from the cube are created in the universe with CHAR format when it should be DATE format
I have tried to resolve the issue by modifying the date object in the universe with MDX but with little success.
I wonder if it is an error in the cube and that it actually should be possible to get the correct date format from the cube when creating the universe automatically in the universe design tool.
The date object is organised in a hierarchy.
Any ideas? - both to resolve the issue by using MDX in the universe object properties or in the cube.
The universe design tool is version 4.0 SP2 patch 5

Oh I knew I was missing something. Ok version 2.
I think in general this approach would work. I assumed you are starting from 1 and resetting to 1.
There should be error handling and so forth that is not here. Probably some details need to be tweaked.
So the key thing here AFAIK is to put the sequence reset in an autonomous procedure. Exactly how to do that may need to be modified.
PS this version has a bug. After the reset needs to change the increment of the sequence back to 1.
