Blocking All Numbers Except A Few

Hi,
My friend is having the same person call her from diffrent numbers. Is there any way that you can create a list where you add the numbers that are allowed to call you? My friend has had to block 15 numbers all from the same person.
Thanks
Reece F

Have her talk to her carrier.
She might want to consider changing her number.
Also, see what Google Voice can do for you. (USA only)

  • Cisco 5510 blocking all websites except a few

    Hello:
I see many post about how to block a single website, but I want to do the opposite. I would like to block all website except for a handful of them. Does anyone have any example configs?

    Hi,
Yes you should be able to:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a0080940e04.shtml
Of course, you will need to create some soft of regex that will deny all the websites such as *.com, but first of course permit the websites you want.
Another option will be using FQDN acls (Only supported on version 8.4.2 and higher) Here is the example.

  • Blocking all websites except a few + Skype and other chat programs

    Hello,
Can you tell me how can i block all websites from a network except a few of them using a Linksys wireless router?
Also, i need to block several ports used for Skype and other chat apps.
I want this solution to work for the whole network. Not using windows policy or other ways where i'd have to go to every single computer.
    Thank you.

There's a way on how to do that but it depends on the model number of your device. What's the model number of your router anyway?

  • How do I block all sites except a few?

We want clients to only have internet access to five websites. Is there a way to do this?
All computers are either XP Home 2002 32 bit or Windows 7 64 bit
    We are using Firefox 15.0
    Thank you.

The easiest way to block websites in Mozilla Firefox is by using a third-party add-on called [http://goo.gl/QePcl Web Filter]. The Filter extension blocks sites that have been added to its "blacklist," but it can also be set up to disable any links to the blocked sites by showing nonfunctional text instead of hyperlinks. The Filter also has a "password protection" feature that helps prevent unwanted changes to BlockSite by others.

    Hi GirtsR,
I am not sure the command to use the SID to accomplish what you want to achieve, if you only know the SID, you could take use Powershell to find the related information, more information, please check:

  • Block All Websites except for a few

I have a Linksys WRT54G router. I just got my 7 and 9 year old kids a computer. I need to block all websites except for about 5 - 10 websites that my wife and I let them visit. I don't think I can do this with the WRT54G router, but does anyone know how I can do it.
    Thanks,
    Skooter Columbo

unfortunately, on wrt54g routers, you can only block and not allow websites.
and to block websites, you can only put up to 4 websites which is what you do not want to do. cause you said you need to block all websites except for 5-10 sites.

  • How to Set Up Content Blocker to Block All Sites Except Those That Are Listed?

How to Set Up Content Blocker to Block All Sites Except Those That Are Listed by Firefox?

One other item I thought I would pass along...
I noticed that the NVG589 gets terribly confused if a device behind it isn't setup properly first to be a static address.
Here's the behavior: Say you have a router of your own and you intend to give it one of the addresses from your static IP block. You decide to set it up first and don't make the changes initially in the 589 to force it to be a static IP of some kind-- whether in the private or the public block. You configure the router in this case with DHCP. Your router starts handing out addresses in its own IP range however your configured it.
But look what the 589 thinks is happening: it sees the DHCP client name associated with the same MAC address changing constantly. It makes entries for each different client name in its device list, sometimes aging out, sometimes not.
Now trying to save the private IP will result in a "missing data" error. Worse, trying to change things to a public static IP will result in similar messages about the IP being in the wrong range.
The same issue can also occur if the device was setup statically in the private range and you try to change it to a public static IP.
The only way to fix this:
    1) If you intend to advertise the router on an IP from your static block, disconnect all devices from the router and the RG, except for the router you want to setup. Wait for the RG to see them as "offline" in the device list. Alternatively, if you intend to setup another device or server on a Static IP, make sure it is the only device connected to the RG.
    2) Switch the IP allocation to "Public"
    3) Renew the lease on the device
    4) Go into the IP Allocation page and fix the IP to one of the public static IPs from your pool
    5) Reconnect all devices.
Generally, the best practice is to setup each static IP device before connecting any others to the RG.

  • Sophos Endpoint security: Block all websites except one

I've been trying to find out how to block all websites except one, in an end user, by creating a policy in the Sophos Enterprise Console. I can see an option - Full web control but it requires an appliance. My question is, it is possible block all websites except one with Sophos? I appreciate if anybody knows, and can tell me how. I have downloaded the trial version of Sophos. If it's possible, I'll try Sophos ES for a year, for the end users and servers.

Team Folder in the past was managed by administrators. Administrator can create, edit, delete team folders. The team folder can be published to a group of users, including Active Directory group. It is very convenient to share files and folders with a group of users in the same team. As team groups bigger, it may not be convenient for administrator to manage all the team folders. So it makes sense for administrator to assign some users to be able to manage team folder that they own themselves. Role Manager It usually starts with the role manager by creating a role with Add/Edit/Delete permissions and assign it to users or Active Directory groups. Manage Team Folder The user who are in the private team folder role will be able to manage team folders without seeing all the team folders from everyone. Here is a YouTube Video about...

  • Block all URL except one or two in WRSV4400N

    Hi,
I have a WRSV4400N router and I need to block all URL except one or two. Can I do it with or whitout TrendMicro ProtectLink??
    Thank you

    Hi Axondigital,
Your english is very good.  I did say "check and see"  in my earlier post and not here is a solution.
To answer your original question , the answer is NO.
URL filtering is a limitation you will find in a product like the WRVS4400N, but you will not find that limitation in the new and more powerful SA520 which has an URL allowed and blocked list.
    My advice would be, evaluate trendmico protectlink if you wish and see what you think.  send a email to the following address to get a evaluation license;
    [email protected]
But try a SA500,  if that customer  really needs a low cost, but capable router that requires URL allowed list.

  • Blocking all numbers that start with +23

    Hello,
I have a big problem, because someone from Nigeria is calling me all the time (i dont know where did they get tnis number!!!). I tried to bock their numbers, but whenever I do that, they just change the number and call again. I think I have bloked over 100 numbers, but they keep calling!
Is there any possiblity to block all numbers that starts with +23?
    Tnx

    Hi,
You will not be able to do this.
If the material number is fully numeric you can only have leading zeros On or OFF, you cannot store a material number with differeing leading zeros.
If this was a new implementation you could have set the "lexicographical" flag on the material master controls and you could then have whatever leading zeros you wanted, but this flag can ONLY be set BEFORE you add your first material and so you no longer have the option.
If you really MUST have this option then define an external number range for alpha characters and use an alpha character on the end of the number, so for 00456 you would have to create 00456a and train your users to ignore the "a". This is a really bad solution but you have no option of having variable numbers of leading zeros.
    Sorry

  • Block all usage except trusted #s?

I'm having issues with my daughter having people she does not know call her.  I would like to restrict ALL usage on her phone to only allow her to call (or receive calls) from the trusted numbers only.  Is this possible?
I can block the numbers that have already called, but that won't stop her from having new people call her (whose numbers I do not know).
This type of feature is why we added parental controls in the first place.
    Thanks!

Some phones also have a security setting on the phone itself to limit calls and/or texts to contacts only. Check into that and see if it is an option for her phone.
Most phones I've seen allow you to restrict calls to contacts only. Texts, on the other hand, are usually all or nothing, which means you might not be able to send texts to her phone. Also, keep in mind that the security code on a phone is relatively easy to reset, which will allow her to change the blocks. Plus, even if you block the calls from the phone, the callers can still leave voice mail messages.
The usage controls work great. What I did was set up a time restriction that's 24x7. Then, I put in the numbers we want our son to be able to contact in the trusted numbers list. This allows phone calls and texts from the numbers we want, and callers not on the list can't even leave a voice mail. It's $5 a month, but I think it's worth it.

  • Block all currencies except GBP

Hi All,  I appreciate this may be a little unconventional, but my company wants only to use GBP in their system,
They currently use MM Purchasing, ISH - healthcare module, SD and others as well as the finance suite.
is there an easy way to block all currencies across the system apart from GBP?
I'm considering setting all currencies as expiring currencies except GBP but any other suggestions would be very welcome
    thanks
    Phil

I am afraid to delete the currencies in TCURR table, as they are client independent and if tomorrow for any reason you need multiple currencies, then it would be an issue.
Therefore, please look into the following threads and check with your ABAPer:

  • From external: block all domains except one MAPPINGS file?

    Here's the problem...
I have an old domain that my mailserver is still authoritive for. We receive mail through a mail ISP cluster, in that sense that our internal mailserver does not have any MX-records associated with it. All MX-records point to the ISP.
We have recently changed domain name because of a merger.
I am still rewriting all RCPT TO: [user]@olddomain.com to RCPT TO: [user]@newdomain.com in imta config.
I now want to end that rewriting using the mappings file for all except but one domain.
So the end result should be:
MAIL FROM: all domains -> [user]@olddomain.com REJECT $Netc......
    but!
MAIL FROM: specific domain -> [user]@olddomain.com should still be passed on to the IMTA.
I have used SEND_ACCESS before as a method of blocking mail, but this is specific... I want to block the whole world except one originating domain (for the old domain)
Does anyone have a working example of this and could you provide it for me?
    TIA
    Eli

    Jay :-)
We have reinstalled iPlanet Messaging Server 5.2 on Windows Server using all new servername FQDN and all new domain hosting for.
    FQDN: mail.new-domain.local
    Mail authoritive for: new-domain.com
Server is located on the LAN and gets it's mail from an ISP using mailkick.
Server is actually not aware (neither in MX, nor in LDAP records) of the old domain.
The only way the server gets it's mail is through smart-hosting. It just works and acts as a new server. Mail for the old-domain.com (organization) is accepted because I rewrite the domain part of the old-domain.com to new-domain.com
    old-domain.com $U%[email protected]
Server accepts mail from all sending/origination domains only for the TO: new-domain.com it is authoritive for.
Now here is the catch... I want to disable the TO: domain-rewriting, because people need to use the new-domain when addressing us.
There is still only ONE organization out there that needs to address the old-domain.com because of X.509 encrypted mail. This is the only domain I will do rewriting for.
Hence is why I was looking at the SEND_ACCESS
It has some ways of blocking part of a sender or address part of a enveloppe based on wildcards etc....
    Yet only blocking....
How do I block the whole world except that old organization we still do business with. Mail for the old domain is also delivered through the same mailkick by ISP.
So if whole world -> [some user]@old-domain.com REJECT
    and
single organization -> [some user]@old-domain.com ACCEPT and continue REWRITING
Hope I shed a bit more light on the subject....

  • Do you have an option for block all incoming message and request EXCEPTED messages from my contacts?

Please help!!To whom it may concernDear Madam/Sir who works for Skype & Microsoft  Dear all who can really help,  Do you have an option for block all incoming message and request EXCEPTED messages from my contacts? or Do you have any solution to solve my problem from begin to now in present time?  Even though, I set the Privacy settings: - Allow calls from... "people in my Contact list only"- Automatically received video and share screens with "people in my Contact list only"- Allow IMs from "people in my Contact list only"  I still received unknow users sent me messages in every day, contact requests etc. And they're all clearly spammings and identity thefts.  I only wanna contact with my family and my freinds here with Skype via my Windows device and my mobile phone (w/Android OS).  And this is the only way to contact with them, because they could use Skype only in overseas.  BUT I don't need new friend from other unknow Skype member.   I keep blocked all unknow spammers in every day.  However in this morning, I feel so scared with Skype on my mobile, I looked at my mobile Skype, I saw it automatically showed me the list of all blocked members. BUT they were all unblocked (contact unblocked) by my mobile (Android version) Skype itself automatically, and listed them one by one on the screen, and about 30 seconds later, they all were disappeared suddenly.  I don't know what do to now, is it indicating my account was hacked? And how could I found out all those members again and block them again and delete all of them for ever?  I appreciate if you would improve the privacy protection. Thank you very very very much.

Hrm... that may be true and this may be a function of the phone email client that Apple just doesn't do.
No, I can easily MANUALLY delete the messages. I would prefer if I didn't have to do it twice, tho. Once on the mail server and once on the phone.
What I think the phone needs to do is, when it checks the POP, anything NOT there should be removed locally. I think you are correct on POP; the phone will poll the mx (mail exchanger) and the mx will pass off the messages to the phone. The phone then keeps ALL of that unitl you manually delete it.
If, say, I remove a message from the mx, I would like the phone, when next polls, to see that that particular message isn't on the server anymore and remove it locally.
Perhaps it's just me but if I delete the message on the mx itself, via my ISP's webmail interface, I really don't want to have to remove it again from my phone.
    thxs!
    cheers
