Blocking messages from particular address domains in Mail 3.5

I am aware of the Junk Mail filter feature in Mail 3.5, but sometimes it does not pick up everything I'd like. I am wondering whether there is an option in the Mail program to block certain emails that end in a particular domain address. Is there a way that I can determine what I'd like to filter, since sometimes the Junk Mail filter doesn't pick up on particular messages?

Hello, and welcome to the Discussions.
Keep in mind that the Junk filter is not blocking anything, but simply moving the suspect messages into the Junk folder. You can in addition write a Rule to move addresses with a certain domain to the Junk mailbox, or a special one.
Blocking implies that it is not even allowed to be downloaded to your computer. That can only be done by filters operating at the server level, and administered by the provider of the server, assuming they have that capability.

I noticed over the summer that I was no longer receiving e-mails from my church. I am very involved, so I need to be able to communicate with various staff members-- but multiple attempts to correct this problem have failed:
1) we have verified that they have my correct address;
2) I have added all the relevant addresses to my Contacts and designated them VIPs (whatever that means);
3) I have checked my settings and I do not have any filters that should be blocking these messages;
4) the messages are NOT in my Junk or Trash folders!
PLEASE let me know what I can do to fix this problem!

iCloud is my e-mail service provider.
I logged on to the icloud website and checked my inbox, and the messages are not showing up there, either. Though the addresses that are being blocked are in my contacts and autopopulate when I compose a message, I have not received messages from these addresses in months (though I have confirmed they were sent to the correct address).

When I send a Group message from my address book, the entire group gets listed in the "To" line. How do I get each member to receive the message individually without listing all members? Its just messy is all.

Thanks for the question. You can actually configure this behavior from Mail preferences:
1. Choose Preferences from the Mail menu.
2. Click Composing.
3. Deselect the checkbox for "When sending to a group, show all member addresses".
When you send an email to the group, only the groups name will be seen.

HELP ... Not receiving email messages from particular Yahoo Group

Ever since the evening of 3/26 every member of my Yahoo Group with an email address from Comcast.net has not been able to reliably receive messages from the group. Out of over 40 emails since then, we've received 4 (2 on 4/1 and 2 this morning). There are no error messages involved, there are just no emails in our inboxes. Yahoo does not indicate that any of the messages have "bounced". The messages are not in my spam folder (in fact, the first Comcast "helper" i worked with had me turn off the spam filter in Comcast,net) Oddly, I (and the others) can receive messages from other Yahoo Groups that we are members of, just not ours: SoundOfNewEngland I was on the phone with Comcast for 2.5 HOURS on 4/3 and was basically told that since I could receive a test message from Comcast that the error must be with Yahoo! After contacting Yahoo, I was told that since others in the group can receive the messages, that the error must be with Comcast. <sigh> The last email I got from Yahoo said that Comcast would need to add Yahoo info into the Comcast whitelist. I told this to a Comcast technician during a help chat on 4/5 ... and she told me to fill out this form: http://www.comcastsupport.com/sdcxuser/asp/comcast_blockedprovider.asp I did that even tho the issue is that the Yahoo Group's messages were being blocked and I didn't have an IP address for those, but I could provide the domain name: yahoogroups.com I tried to put the info that Yahoo Groups gave me for the whitelist, but the description is limited to 1024 characters Needless to say, I have not received a resonse from Comcast within 24 hours of posting the form Here is the info from Yahoo!: "Since you have already reviewed your settings, and confirmed that the emails are not landing in your spam folder, you will need to follow up with your email provider again, since it appears that they are dropping emails from the group. TS3899 Problems sending email from hotmail addresses in iPad Mail

I am having problems sending email from my hotmail addresses (live.com) in the Mail program on my iPad. I get a message that says "An error occurred while sending this message". Tis morning the program worked perfectly. Now, not so much!
I have turned my iPad off and on. I have deleted and reinstalled the mail accounts. Neither strategy helped.
I have no problems with my gmail address. I can send mail if I log on to the hotmail website in Safari.

I would like to find a way to only have the gmail inbox but still send from any three of her accounts.
You can do it this way:
Set up only one account. The one from which you want to receive mail.
In Mail > Preferences > Accounts > +gmail acct+ > Email Address insert the other email addresses, separating each with a comma and single space.
Only the GMail account will receive incoming Mail. However, when you want to send from another address, in the From dropdown menu toggle the address from which you wish to send mail.
You will, of course, delete the other accounts you have created to avoid getting incoming messages.

Mail won't delete messages from Iphone unless I open Mail.

I have an Exchange account set up and use MS Outlook at work. I do receive my email via push on my Iphone 4s. However, when I delete a message from my MS Outlook at work, it won't delete from my Iphone UNLESS I open up Mail. Anyone else have this issue?
I did change the setting of pushing my delete items folder in the mail settings on my Iphone. Still did nothing.

One the iPod try going to Settings>Messages>Send and Receive At and deleting/unchecking your phone number.

You can set up your Gmail account in Mail as an IMAP account. Once done, you can view them in Mail or copy them to any folder on your Mac.

Have you tried Mail Preferences?
Go to Preferences (under Mail menu) and select accounts. Then click on the account in question. Enter your name as you wish it to appear at the "Full Name" label.

Hp e print blocked email from my email domain

I have an eprint printer officejet 8500a the eprint works except with my work email.
When using my work email, which happens to be microsoft exchange, i get a bounceback saying hp eprint blocked my emails. I have tried many other devices and even other exchange accounts hosted by the same provider, they all work.
I contacted my exchange email provider and they looked at the email bounceback, indeed hp eprint.com domain is blocking my address.

Send email messages from same address to which the email was sent?

I have multiple email accounts set up on my iPhone, including one Work and one Personal account. I'd like for the iPhone to automatically reply to a message using the same account to which the email was sent (e.g., if someone emails me at my Personal address, the iPhone replies using that address) but I can't figure out how to do it. Right now, it's just sending everything using my default (Work) account.

I'm having the same problem; I've recently upgraded to the iPhone4 and I have two mail accounts on it: 1.) My personal gmail account and 2.) my work email which is using the imap version of google apps (it has our unique domain name instead of "@gmail.com") -
So now, whenever I try to send an email from my work email it is delivered as though it was sent from my personal gmail account... +that's even if I choose to change the "from" field- in the drop down scroll menu+ ... I can see both account names and even if I choose my work email it is still delivered as from my personal - the only difference being that if I manually choose to "send it" from my work email a copy of the sent email is then delivered to my work inbox - yet it still lists the sender as my personal gmail account.
This is very frustrating... My old 3g never had this problem so I am stumped as to what's causing this.
I apologize if my way of explaining this was overly confusing... but thank you in advance for any help!
