Blocking neighbors from using my signal

I've recently noticed that someone has been using my signal to get online. Is there a way to block others from using my signal? I have two eMacs that are hard-wired to a di-614+ router. I have disabled the WEP and SSID Broadcast wireless settings but have not noticed any difference. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You indicate that your Macs are hardwired to the router. If you don't have any need for the wireless option, you can turn it off entirely. This is explained on page 11 of the manual that is available from the D-Link web site.

There probably is, but it requires that you be able to use punctuation and write in sentences so that we can understand exactly what you want.
You can block others from using your Apple ID by changing your password. There is no way to erase what was already downloaded on to someone else's device, for obvious reasons,

There is nothing that anyone here on a user forum can do to help you. If it is a local issue in Syria, then you need to take it up with your phone company or authorities there who have prevented you from using VPN.

There is no reinstall process for facebook it is a website that you visit stored on servers far away from your Mac.
However, If you go to System Settings, then Parental Controls, you will however need to be logged in as Administrator or know the password.

Several tried to but no one seemed to understand the real problem.
I COULD, because it was mine too. So it follows the only ultimate solution:
1. Open Firefox
2. On the address bar, type – about:config in the URL. Press Enter.
3. You will be warned about Warranty. Click on “I’ll be careful…”
4. On the Filter dialog box type – search.conduit
5. It will display all related entries. Right-click on Preferences Name and Reset.
It worked for me, after trying a dozen of "fake" solutions. ;)

ISP is blocking us from using their smart host, they think we are spamming.

Our ISP is blocking us from using their smart host a few times these days. They told me that one or some of our computers were infected and spamming. I checked Trend Micro console, but have not seen any viruses so far.
We migrated from SBS2003 to SBS2011 a few days ago. And our ISP blocked us from using their smart host on the very next day. Ever since then, this has happened 3 times in a week.
If I use our own server to send out emails, some recipients will reject because of their spam filtering system.
Any thoughts, suggestions??

On your network firewall, you can block outbound SMTP (25) for all of your network systems and create an allow outbound SMTP (25) for your server. Thus if a workstation is trying to send direct to the internet your firewall should prevent the communications
but it will allow your server to send mail out to your smarthost. If your firewall can support unified threat protection, enabling such services will aid you in assuring yourself and your ISP of the clean bill of health for your messaging environment.
You can also force a password change on all of your user accounts as a preventative measure. If you were dealing with ISP mailboxes or an external provider, this would be where the vendor would start.
You should also be able to get support from your ISP; if they are blocking your connection they must have some information to work with that will help you narrow your approach. Another option would be to look into third party smarthost/sanitation services
such as Forefront Online Protection for Exchange which can certify your email and can allow you to bypass your ISP. Usually an ISP offers a free smarthost service but what you get in return is entry-level service, but if you pay for outbound smarthost
services, you get a service level and support agreement.

Adobe Flash Player has blocked me from using FF. A box shows up and the upper screen is grayed out

When I start FF, a small box comes up in the upper middle of the screen - it is from Flash Player and it has two selections: allow and deny. With this flash player box, the upper third of the screen is grayed out. It will not allow use of most visited, bookmarks, or anything that is to be initiated at the top of the page. Even if I start a program, I cannot use the upper controls for that program. This is the second day that it has been blocking my use of FF. Note: I also use Seamonkey, but it has not been affected by the flash player problem. I have re-installed flash player, re-booted, restarted FF, and no changes have come about. I am still blocked from using FF. In fact, I am using this support page on Seamonkey.

this sounds really strange, could you attach a screenshot of the issue?
another thing you can try to troubleshoot the issue is a clean reinstall: remove firefox from the windows control panel & chose to remove all personal data in the uninstaller. afterwards manually check if the firefox program folder got deleted (it's usually in ''C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox'') and else remove it manually. then download & install a fresh copy at getfirefox.com
if this doesn't work either please do a full scan of your system with the security software already in place and different tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes], [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner], [http://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/default.aspx microsoft safety scanner] & [http://www.kaspersky.com/security-scan kaspersky security scan].

Why does Adobe Flash Player block me from using Firefox?

Every time I try to use Firefox, Adobe Flash Player blocks me from doing so.
I get continual messages that keep reappearing: """""""Adobe Flash Player 11.5 r502 has stopped working.

This message just keeps re-appearing, and I can't do anything else by close out of it........
and then switch to another browser. I CAN'T USE FIREFOX.
I went in and downloaded the new version, just to make sure it wasn't being blocked by an old version,
but that didn't matter at all. It still blocks me out.
HELP!!!!!!! How do I stop this?

I'm sorry you're going through this. I suspect you're running into a conflict with our Protected Mode which was introduced in Flash Player 11.4. Please try the troubleshooting steps outlined in this FAQ:
How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?
In particular, I'd recommend temporarily disabling protected mode (for troubleshooting purposes only) to see if that addresses the issue. If it does, please re-enable it and give our latest Flash Player 11.6 beta a shot. You can download it here:

Blocking enduser from using a particular storage location

Dear Gurus,
When production order confirmation is done for a particular material.
The consumption materials are picked from a particular storage location:e.g.XA01,but the end user sometimes the picks the material from Raw material storage location. ie is RM01,which the client doesnot want.
Client wants that end user picks material from XA01 and not RM01
How can i block the end user from using the raw matarial storage location from being used in production order confirmation.

You can try with SPRO - Materials management -> Inventory Management & Physical inventory -> Authorization Management -> Authorization check at storage location.
You can use the authorization object M_MSEG_LGO.
Please take help from basis person.
It will solve your problem.

Can't block neighbor from network...

I have an Airport base station connected to a DLink wireless to extend signal into house from office. Under "Shared" in Finder I keep seeing a "mac###########" on that list. When I go to get info it shows it as a PC. There's 4 MACs here that I use and no PCs with Windows. I've tried putting in password for signal, I've tried blocking its MAC address, and I've tried not broadcasting the wireless signal. I am still getting this "neighbor logging in". I noticed when I change the network name and did all those things, he disappears for a little while then comes back on.
I also notice on the DLink router settings page, under Log, it shows someone as "Spoof attack". It shows the IP it gave him and the port he is accessing. So after this I tried blocking the IP address through DLink, I am STILL seeing him on the Shared list. Any tips on what else I can do to stop this person from logging on to my network?
I've done everything I knew how to do but he still pops in. Thanks for any help
PS: I also use a Netgear Network Hub to spread the connections from DLink. I was thinking maybe this hub was the one acting as the pc, but I can't find a way to access the settings on it or something like that to check. I ruled it out when I saw the "Spoof Attack" on DLink. I looked up "spoof attack" and what it does is tell the router the computer knows the password for the signal, AND the hub is NOT a wireless hub. Thanks again.

HT5312 Spoke with Apple "support" today about the Security Questions that R blocking us from using i-Tunes. The guy told us to just keep GUESSING his answers. How can U guess answers to Questions that U NEVER answered. Now he's locked out for 8 hrs. :(

We spoke to Customer "support" today, as we can't use i-Tunes for a new i-Pod gift for Christmas. The reason this iPod was bought is because he can no longer upload i-Tunes to his old one because it's a Ver. 3 and it demands you upgrade it (which we tried numerous times before getting into one of these chat rooms and discovering that the iPod 3 is not compatible with the upgrade!! Really makes them all a waste of MONEY. Not happy.
Anyway, the "ADVICE" from the Apple "support" guy was to just keep guessing the answers to the questions. WHAT! He never answered them before, they weren't necessary before, so how can he guess the answers, to questions that were non-existent when he originally created his ID??
Does anyone have any advice regarding this, as I think he has already attached his credit (also a gift) to his ORIGINAL ID, so even if he creates a NEW Apple ID, he will lose that Credit. So furstrated right now!

I assume that you don't have a rescue email address on your account ? How did you contact support ? You should be able to contact them in your country via this link and they should be able to reset the questions : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699

Firewall Blocks me from using hostnames... and

I am running Mac OS X Server 10.4.9 I have setup AFP, Software Update, and Print. (also SSH, and Remote Desktop). When I turn on Firewall I cannot connect to ssh or afp using the local networks hostnames from the server.
ex. Server.local or PowerBook.local

When the firewall is non-active I can use local hostnames or IP's to connect to local clients. What do i need to open in the firewall? for hostnames to work when connecting to ssh, and afp?
Also when I port scan my server from out side my local network. it show's rules that are only avaliabe for the local subnet 172.16.1.x. like afp, Print, and software update. how do i change this to limit accsess to services?

Even when you're using .local hostnames, your machine still uses it's NS resolver. Open up port 53 in the firewall and try it again.

I have an iCloud message coming up on my iPad screen. It is blocking me from using my iPad!

The message says...iCloud backup, this iPad hasn't been backed up in 4 weeks. Backups happen when the iPad is plugged in, locked and connected to wifi.
I don't know wether doing that will make the sign go away and allow me to use my iPad, but I don't know what it means by plugged in, does that just mean put on charge? As I have done that.
When I click cancel on the message it won't cancel and won't allow to press anything on my iPad home page, is there a way to restart the iPad?

To reboot the ipad, press the home and power buttons together and keep pressing until the device shuts down.
Then power up again.
By "iPad is plugged in" they mean to do a backup you must have it plugged into a power source - but that's not true, if the device has enough battery power remaining.

X marks is blocking me from using firefox as soon as i open it up X marks pops up and freezes everything

I click on Firefox to open the browser then X Marks pops up on the screen tells me it is lading then it shrinks to a bar . I can't close it nor can I click anywhere on my screen with out my computer going bonk bonk and not doing anything i click on. How do I fix this I have gone into my program list to delete X marks but i can't find it. please help me so i can use my Firefox
