  • Iphone 5 problem with in & out going call with iOS 8.1

    I have a iphone 5 and i had updated it to ios8.1 recently.
    After doing so, i started having problem in both in and out going calls. It work only for a brief period after i restart the phone but after a while it gives me the same trouble.
    I already tried to reset the phone to factory settings,  but it still doesnt effect.
    Please help me to get rid of this problem..

    Great job troubleshooting on your own to resolve your issue. The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great and thorough recommendations for troubleshooting issues with making or receiving calls on your iPhone:

    Follow the steps below to resolve this issue. Please test after each step.
    Toggle airplane mode: Tap Settings > Enable Airplane Mode, wait five seconds, then turn off airplane mode.
    Check your phone settings:
    Check your Do Not Disturb settings: Tap Settings > Do Not Disturb.
    Check for any blocked phone numbers: Tap Settings > Phone > Blocked.
    See if Call Forwarding is turned on: Tap Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding.
    Ensure that your software is up to date:
    Check for a carrier settings update.
    Check for an iOS software update. 
    Note: Some updates may require a Wi-Fi connection.
    If the iPhone has a SIM card, reseat the SIM card.
    If the iPhone 4 or iPhone 4s is on the Verizon network, dial *228 from the iPhone and select option 2 to update the Preferred Roaming List (PRL). The PRL determines the cellular towers the phone uses for cellular service, selecting those with the best signal strength.
    Reset the network settings: Tap  Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    Try to make or receive calls in another location.
    Attempt to isolate to one network band:
    If you're having the issue on LTE, disable LTE, if possible, and try again.
    If you're having the issue on 3G/4G, disable 3G/4G, if possible, and try again.
    Contact the carrier to check the following:
    Your account is properly configured to use the specific iPhone that has the issue.
    There are no localized service outages.
    Your account doesn't have a billing-related block.
    Your calls don't have errors on the carrier system.
    Restore the phone as new.
    If the above steps don't resolve the issue, go to an Apple Retail Store, carrier, Apple Authorized Reseller, or contact AppleCare to send the phone in for service.

    It is not practicale to do this always any one faces the same problem

    There may be a problem with the SIM card. Get a new SIM card from your carrier - there should be no charge for a replacement.
    If no change with a new SIM card, the standard troubleshooting steps in order are:
    Power your iPhone off and on.
    An iPhone reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release.
    Restore your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup.
    Restore your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup.
    If no change after any of these steps in order, your iPhone has a hardware problem.

  • Out going caller I.D still not changed

    how can i change my out going caller I.D, i have called and emailed, i was even assured that it would be changed,  still waiting,  mean while my freinds and family are ignoring my calls, the name in question is foreign to them

    We've called Verizon at least 7 times and asked them to correct this problem.  Everyone has a different answer.  Today, they said we needed to take the batteries out of all of our landline phones to "clear the memory" and that would fix it.  Still not fixed.  I don't think anybody at Verizon knows how to change the caller ID banner !

  • Why do out going call take so long to connect?

    Sometime it can take up to 3 minutes for an out going call to connect.  It does not seem to matter how many bars I have or where I am.

    I have am LG spectrum running VS93022A firmware, Android version 4.1.2. I did have a lot of recent calls stored, so I deleted all of them and them I removed my battery and reinstalled it.  Finally, I ran a software update check.  All these activities seem to have fixed the problem.  I now takes only seconds for a call to connect.thanks!Susan

    It is not you who have blocked them. The caller has opted to block their number from displaying on caller id displays. You can find out who it is by answering the phone. In the future, if the caller dials (I believe) *82 before your phone number (in the us anyway) the number should appear. Ask them to do this in the future. Some medical facilities and women's shelters have caller Id blocked for privacy reasons.

    We can able receive the call from outside but not able call dial out,i have tried several Public IP address for the testing but none of them not working.
    There is no gatekeeper ,Public Ip address configured directly to the system.

    Looks like there could be an issue with the test addresses on http://vtctest.pointsofdata.com/ - however, 140.242.250.204 and 140.242.250.205 both works - these are Polycom hosted test facilities. Would be an idea to try either or both of those.
    If you can't connect to those addresses, SSH into the system, use the following commands;
    systemtools network ping 140.242.250.204
    systemtools network traceroute 140.242.250.204
    This should give you an idea where the call fails.
    (You can also get xstatus and xconfiguration by loggin in remotely using SSH.)

  • CME - can not dail PSTN (out going calls )

    i have CME installed on 2900 router , incomming calls are working fine but i can dial PSTN calls.
    below error is comming in Debug:
    Outgoing call from gateway: gives diconnect cause value = 34 no circuit

    1.Could you please explain the complete network topology and please upload the debugs that you collected with the called and the calling number.Also attach the relevant controller config, serial interface config, dial-peer etc to analyze.
    2.Cause value 34 implies that there is a mismatch in channel mapping either on your end or the provider's end.
    3.So we need to check if we are sending this error message or if we are receiving this error message.
    If we are receiving this error message, then provider needs to correct the channel mapping on their end.
    4.If we are using H323 then try to change the isdn channel order using this command on gateway
    "isdn bchan-number-order" as well as try changing the channel order from under the gateway on CUCM, if we have a CUCM in the network topology.
    5.Make sure we have configured only those channels that we are allowed to inside a Controller for pri group command.

    In 2g networks, my phone doesn't support outgoing calls. But i can message and the Internet is also working in 2G network. (incoming calls are also working in 2G).
    Please help me to resolve it..
    I got troubled more times witout the 3g network..

    is it only 2G nrtwork reception you have? Have you tried to put your phone in "Automatic" mode?  

  • Problems w/ out going calls hearing me

    I have had my Droid X for 5 weeks now and suddenly having problems with people hearing me. I have no problems hearing them but they can't hear me.People claim that I sound like I'm 10 feet away.I also noticed that I do not have the 3G signal. I received another droid because they couldn't fix the problem and now I'm faced w/the same problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

    You dont have a 3G signal when you are on a call. Have you rebooted your phone. Its like a PC and needs to be rebooted every now and. The reccomendation is to turn your phone off and on everyday .
