Blocking outgoing calls

Is there a way to block specific outgoing calls?

Hello,
To block outgoing calls you would need to use call gate. I have included a link below that list the details of the feature.

Buyer BEWARE!!!   Verizon is clueless!  Call Block is no longer available on any of the new bundles Verizon offers!  I had this service and it worked great.   Then I switched to Verizon Digital Voice for savings, and even though a member of Verizon's elite team assured me that this functionality would still be there, it wasn't.  Worse yet, when I called to inquire about why it wasn't there, I was on the phone for hours trying to get through to anyone with a bit of clue, and was finally told be a different member of the (elite?) team that it just isn't available anymore, and they can't add it back.
Nice going Verizon!    Time to look elsewhere...  Verizon is clueless...

I'm very unfamiliar with this technology, however, I've been put in charge of it.  We're using Cisco Unified CM Administration v6.1 and currently we're unable to make calls out to any 900 or 330 prefixes and I can't figure out why.  We've called our telephone service provider and they were able to call from their lines, so they are suggesting it is something on our end.
The only thing I can think of is the CM, however, I'm not sure where to even begin looking.  I did a little research on Google and started checking the Route Filter, however, I wasn't sure if that is where I need to be. (I thought for a minute that it must be true if it was on the internet :-) )
Anyway, my question is, can anyone shed some light on where I might find some settings that would be blocking us from calling out to these numbers.  Area codes 330 and 900 are honestly cell phone numbers and we can't 7 digit dial or even 10 digit dial these numbers.
Thanks in advance for your time and I really appreciate everyone for their help.

    1. He means what is your protocol i.e. SIP, H.323, etc.  If you go to device ---> Trunks and search for everything you should be able to find the gateway your CUCM is pointing to.
    2.  There needs to be some sort of route pattern pointing to your gateway or no calls would complete.  Call Routing --> Rout/Hunt ---> Route Patterns and do a blanket search.
    3.  Your gateway config which is your router, CUBE, or whatever you may be using.  Issue a "Show Run" and post the contents here.
    4.  'Debug ccsip mess' is the command from your gateway that you can use if you are utilizing SIP trunking.  This will provide information such as INVITE, TRYING, ACK, RINGING, etc. with much more information telling us what is going on.  All of this needs to be posted here for us to be able to help you.  Understand this is a very difficult situation since you are extremely limited in knowledge on the systems.

  • Blocking *67  outgoing calls

I am the account administrator for 3 lines. I am subscribed to usage controls and have blocked restricted/private #'s from being made/rcvd. I want to know how to block outgoing calls made that are dialed using *67 before the # ?.  I have tried to enter *67 into the block numbers field in control usage, however the *asterick* symbol is not recognized nor accepted.

        Thanks for clarifying that, MilesinMarin!
Usage controls doesn't enable you to block the users from dialing *67 before the called number.
    I apologize for the inconvenience.

  • Outgoing Call block on operator 7961 after office-hours

    Hi guys,
we have call block enabled on our ccme 4.2 for 900 pattern and all users use pin to
make international calls. Now we want to block all 9.T pattern after office hours for operator phones only .please advise

Thanks Nadeem for your reply but the issue is i want to block outgoing calls
after office only for reception phone. other phones should work normal
we are blocking 24/7 international call using call blocking, users use login pin
so if i put other pattern of 9.T For local ,national and international to block after office-hours all phones will get blocked and all uses have to use pin after office to make calls
plus cant put after-hours exempt then cannot control users with international pin dialing
    plz advise

  • Preventing outgoing calls through Call Block?

I read a blog that stated that the 5 free incoming call blocking spaces also restrict outgoing calls to those numbers? Its not worded as incoming and outgoing, only Familybase is worded that way( for $5 a month). Does anyone know if the free blocking feature actually does block outgoing calls and texts to the specified numbers?

        Mik11,
Great question, let's get to the bottom of this and address any confusion! The Call and Message Block will prevent incoming calls/messages it will not prevent outgoing calls or messages. If you are looking to block both incoming and outgoing then I would suggest going with our FamilyBase feature. Please let us know if you have additional questions or concerns. http://vz.to/1gRCDEj

  • How do you block certain outgoing calls?

How do you block outgoing calls? I know how to block incoming calls, but how do i make it to where i cannot make outgoing calls to that same certain number?

The easiest thing is to just not call the number.    You can set up blocks with Usage Controls; it costs $4.99 per month:

  • Conditional outgoing call barring

I am searching for "conditional outgoing call barring" feature for Nokia 6288.
The idea is to set call duration limit in minutes units and to block outgoing calls when counter reaches the limit.
Optionally warning message to appear when counter is near to limit.
    Is that possible to do?

it's not a good idea posting your imei number in fact (NEVER POST YOUR IMEI ANYWHERE)
call your network provider they'll be able to provide you with the pin number.

We use a Route Pattern that mimics the telco feature *67. The RP is *679.xxxxxxx with a Transformation mask of 000000000 (just to get beyond the individual blocking on some private lines.

  • Not being able to make any outgoing calls

I have (regrettably) been a retuned BT customer since 28th June.  I have not been able to make an outgoing call (except 100 and 150) since that date.  When I attempt a call I get a pre-recorded message saying 'I am not registered for this service contact service provider'
I have spent an average of 30 mins every other day since 28th june speaking to customer services in various parts of India.  I have had at least three seperate managers from those call centers who have promised to own my issue, and they have each fail ed to call me back when its proven to be too difficult to resolve.  There is no way of me contacting anyone who promises to take ownership so I end up back at square one.  I have had two seperate engineer crews and a then an supervisor (to check the work of the first engineer) call to my home.  I have had several txts telling me the service has been fixed and I still cannot make calls.
I was told by one manager that my line hadnt been ported i checked with my previous service provider who wrote that  'After checking services for telephone number *******1272, YourCalls.net can confirm all services have now been removed.  BT will need to ensure the CPS (Carrier Pre Select) is set up on their system for your call traffic.'
The lastest engineer who called to my home today informed me that a block had been put on my line (he was told by someone he spoke to that perhaps this was due to unpaid bills .  to my knowledge I have no unpaid bills)  I was told that this would now be with BT wholesale but I have not been informed of any way to speak to them or to find out who or why thios block is on.
So at this moment I have paid for a years line rental and spent several frustrating hours on the phone and I still appear no closer to being able to make outbound calls.
Can anyone suggest how I might resolve this.
    Thanks for any help
Update I have had a message from my previous provider
'We have check the services that are still on the line which is a 3rd Party Call Barring, this product is a BT product. We did receive a reconnection notice from BT on the 28/06/2013 to transfer your line to them; this was completed by BT on that day.  We do not understand why BT is not able to activate the line.
BT needs to advise you as to why they have not completed the transfer completely.
    I hope this has helped?'

  • I just bought this iPhone 4S second hand and during incoming and outgoing calls I can't hear the other person talk unless it's on speaker or if I have headphones in. I don't know what to do I've turned up my volume and checked my settings!! Need help

I Just bought a second hand iPhone 4S I am having issues with the hearing during incoming and outgoing calls, I have turned the volume up and checked my settings but I still have trouble hearing the other person speak. It works if it's on speaker or if I have headphones plugged in. I need help desperately!!!!! Any suggestions on what to do???

    Hey Itsanaasaunders,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing issues hearing sound while on a call (receiver wise, not speakerphone). The following resource provides troubleshooting steps for this symptom:
If you can't hear a person on a call or voicemail or if the sound quality is poor on iPhone - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203800
    Clear the receiver
The iPhone receiver won't work properly if it's blocked or dirty. Here's where the receiver is:
Follow these steps, testing after each:
    - Make sure nothing is blocking the receiver, such as a case or film.
If you have a new iPhone, remove the plastic film on the front and back of the device.
    - Check the receiver opening to see if it's blocked or dirty. If necessary, clean the receiver opening with a clean, small, dry, soft-bristled brush.
    - While you're on a call, turn on speakerphone. If you still can't hear, then your network or reception could be the issue. Try calling again later or from a different location.
    Restart and update
    1. Restart your iPhone and test again.
    2. If there's still no sound or poor sound quality, update to the latest version of iOS.

If you've tried these steps and there's still no sound or poor sound quality from your iPhone, contact Apple Support.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

    (numbers removed)
I have asked them to stop and they continue to call and text me. Is there any way you can help me to block these numbers or stop it somehow since I have been charged for the texts they have been sending me.
    Thank you,
      Taylor

I'm getting spammed by some international number and verizon's call block only accepts 10-digit numbers. where are the options for blocking call outside of the country?  there is a guide i found but it's out of date and broken.
International incoming calls cannot be blocked. Outgoing calls can only be made if an International Dialing feature is added to your account.
