Blocking Someone on Facebook for iPad?

How do I block someone on Facebook for iPad? This is an iPad on iOS 7 with the latest Facebook app installed.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

See if this helps. On the app go to settings> blocking.

Hi, We are a physiotherapy practice trying to use i-cal as a clinic diary system for 15 therapists. We need to block out availability of therapists but cant do this? How can you block someones diary out for specific times on i-cal? Any help please..

iCal is designed for personal use, and isn't really meant to handle this sort of situation.
The best suggestion I can offer, though it's a trifle untidy, is: create a calendar for each therapist, giving each a different colour. Enter the availability for each therapist - if it's on a weekly basis you can make them repeating events. Then add the individual appointments, which will show alongside in the daily view. In this example, the 'purple' therapist is available from 1030 to 1700 and has appointments at 1200 and 1500.
If you have more than a few therapists available at any one time it's liable to look a bit messy, but it's the best I can think of at the moment.

  • Facebook for iPad 1

After numerous erros, I deleted and tried downloading the FB app.  I was unable to do so as it required iOS 5.  Tried downloading this but found that I had to upgrade my software from 4.2.1 to something else which I still couldnt download.
Jumped onto my laptop to download via iTunes... after hours of downloading and 3 unsuccesful attempts, I kept receiving errors and managed to use up most of my monthly data allowance.
I've got to all the sites, etc but its not working.  I may be missing something?
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks

OK, for those that might have the same problem, I found a solution.
Apps that were downloaded directly to the iPad doesn't update itself to the last available compatible version.  However, if you select those apps in iTunes and downloaded them again in iTunes (for me it was Facebook & Dropbox) - it will attempt to download them to the iPad as well (if you've got your iPad set to sync via Wifi as well as automatically download new apps).  It will attempt to download and fail, because it stupidly tries to download the latest version for iOS7 into your old iPad 1 iOS5.1.1  Delete the "stuck" failed downloads and now re-download the those apps from the iPad Apps Store, now it will give you the choice to download the last compatible versions of those apps!
    Yay.  Wierd workaround though.

  • Facebook for ipad

Hi all, I have a funny question - I have the original  facebook application installed on both Ipad 2 and Iphone4S but UI language is Hebrew and I would like to be able to change the UI to English as I was able to do on the Web. Any idea ?
    Thanks

thanks very much I was afraid this is the reason. However, if I change my phone langague to English - will the FB application change too ? or will I hav to reinstall once the phone languge changed into English so the English user interface will be downloaded from app store ?
    Thanks again.

  • Facebook for ipad3 where is heart icon?

I'm using an iPad 3rd generation. In Facebook for iPad I see many people display a red heart image in their posts. Where can I find it?

If you enable the Emoji keyboard as well as your normal keyboard (Settings > General > Keyboard > Add Keyboard > 'Emoji'), then you should get a 'globe' to the left of the spacebar at the bottom of the keyboard which allows you to switch between your keyboards - if you select the 'smiley' tab on the bottom of that :
and swipe through the icons on that selection, then on the last screen there should be a red heart

  • Based in Thailand, but I can't download Facebook and Google Earth for iPad, what do I do?

Trying to download Facebook and Google Earth applications for the new iPad 2.  I'm based in Thailand and is unable to find in Thai iTune store.  Very frustrated.  But when I change location to either USA or UK, those two apps do appear.  The only stumbling block is that I do not have a credit card based on those two countries, thus unable to create an account there.  What can I do to get around this weird situation?

It is really weird that they do have a Facebook application for iPhone, but not for iPad in Thai iTune store.
There could be copyright or other legal issues of some sort, or Facebook may just not have the iPad version regionalized yet. No way to know with any certainty.
So we are unable to download applications elsewhere besides our region/country?
That is correct. The terms of use for any country's iTunes/App Store restrict its use to within that country only.
Or is there anything we could do to bring to attention the people who work for iTune Thailand that they need to make available certain applications that already do appear in foreign iTune stores?
It's not up to Apple, it's up to the developers. You'd need to contact Facebook and Google and urge them to make their apps available in Thailand.
    Regards.

Facebook apparently has their site coded poorly for tablets with touch screens. Try using the Facebook app. It is not perfect either but it is better than view in a browser lately.

  • Its not a question, but i just hope someone from apple can read this, i just wish you can make a card just like itunes card, for ipad wi-fi card. would be convenience.

That's why he gave you the link to make the suggestion.
But returning to your proposal ... Apple does not sell any of the "wifi" connections. It would be up to providers of service to sell giftcards, and perhaps Boingo or some of other airport-commercial WiFi firms do. I can't think of any other place I've been asked to pay for WiFi.
Now Verizon and AT&T, as well as other providers in other countries, could sell Gift Cards... and again, perhaps they do, but you'll have to check with them or make the suggestions there. It's really not an Apple issue, as they don't sell or provide any connections, just the hardware to make them.

  • Hello. I have an Ipad 3 and I have installed the facebook app for ipad. Though I'm online, I appear offline to my friends. And, there is no chat bar when I log in via safari! Please Help!

Hello. I have an Ipad 3 and I have installed the facebook app for ipad. Though I'm online, I appear offline to my friends. And, there is no chat bar when I log in via safari! Please Help!

I believe the Facebook App requires (or at least it did in the past) the screen to be rotated to Landscape to access/enable chat functions/enable online status (I believe at the bottom-right of the screen). You need to set your online status to available (or whatever their terminology is) to have other people see your online status and availability to chat.

  • Hi just wondering if you can get abode flash player for ipad as I can't play  a Facebook game on here without it ?

Hi just wondering if you can get abode flash player for ipad as I can't play  a Facebook game on here without it ?

There is no support for Flash in any iDevice by Apple.
There are however 3rd party Apps in the App Store that claim to have Flash support. You can try browsers such as  Puffin
    http://www.puffinbrowser.com/index.php
And see if the game can run on them.

  • Can someone tell me what settings I need for ipad texting.  Went to Mexico and now can't get the texting to work at all on ipad.  Thanls

Can someone tell me what settings I need for ipad texting.  I went to Mexico and when I returned the texting does not work on my ipad.  The support at Apple wanted to charge me to get info.
    THanks

Can't address the problem directly, cause even though my iPad4 is Cell+Wi-Fi, I've never put a SIM in it and never had the need to text, SMS or iMessage, from it. When away from the office or home wireless network, I tether it off the iPhone. Skype, both text and video, work just fine thru the Wi-Fi link, though.
HOWEVER, when I was hashing out the contract details to get the iPhone 5 about 14 months ago at Telcel, the representative distinctly mentioned that both Visual Voicemail as well as iMessages would be included in the package and they would be mandatory cause "I was getting a (subsidized) Apple iPhone" on a 24 month leash. Then when the gizmo came out of its box for SIM installation and activation, she went thru the motions of making sure both were working properly.  So I assume the carrier has some say in the matter.

  • How to play facebook game such as cityville in ipad, because it asking for flash player, but cannot download it for ipad

How To Play facebook games in iPad Safari?
Safari is asking for flash player to play it.
But i can't install it to iPad.
Or may be i must upgrade the version of safari for iPad?
or may be there some special application that can play facebook game
    Thanks 4 ur help

Safari on the iPad does not support Flash and will not for the forseeable future.
Some of the FaceBook games have their own apps in the App Store that you can download. Some are the full games and some are not. For example "Cityville Hero" tells you when certain things happen in game so you can pop online on a computer and check it there, rather than letting you play it first.
Checking the App Store is the best place to find a way around using a site that requires a flash player. A lot of sites create apps so you can use them on the iPad/iPhone/iPod touch. And if you find a site that doesn't you can always contact the website creators to see if they have or will create an app for the iOS devices.

    Hello ctb4408,
With iMessage, it is meant to show up on all your iOS devices and Mac. If you do not want them to go across all your devices, then you will need to turn off iMessage on your iPad and Mac Pro.
