Blocking viewing jpg images on received & filed sent e-mails

jpg images on all e-mails are blocked and message "loading, if taking too long Click Here " this opens window " jpg image file do you want FF to Open with Windows picture viewer(default) or Save. It will then download the image via Download Window. (This does not occur when opening the same e-mails with IE, the reduced jpg images are displayed & enlarged with 1 x click)

followed troubleshooting instructions through to checking plugins upto date, all ok except Windows live photo gallery and Google update, disabled both and e-mail jpg images loaded instantly!!! enabled the 2 x plugins in sequence and problem did not return????? Don't know why? but happy.
many thanks, BK

  • Could not forward to JCA adapter : putting .jpg image failed : receiver communication channel

    hello all,
i have a FTP to SFTP scenario for posting photos from my FTP server to other SFTP server
its successfully posting an .xml to the SFTP server but not able to post the .jpg image
attached is my audit log for my adapter
    regards,
    sushant

    Hi Sushant
May be you are using a name for the image which is much longer than the name length expected by SFTP adapter.
Use a shorter name and send the file, see if that works or not.Remove the * from the file name.

  • Several hour delay in receiving emails sent from mail?

for 3 years i've had a pop email account with yahoo and it has worked flawlessly with my apple mail program until a few days ago when people started telling me that the emails i sent took several hours to reach them. so, using mail, i sent myself a test and confirmed the delay. emails i send immediately appear in my "sent" folder yet they don't reach their intended recipients until hours later. this problem is intermittent. there was a brief window the other day when emails i was sending from mail were arriving quickly. but, the problem soon returned and persists now. the problem does not affect the receiving of emails with mail. in other words, i am receiving all emails with mail. the problem only affects emails i send using apple mail.
when i access my email account directly through yahoo to send emails, those emails arrive immediately.
i hope i have described the problem clearly enough and i thank the community in advance for any insight and/or suggestions.

If you select a message in Mail's message viewer, then select the menu item View > Message > Long Headers, the message headers will be displayed. Depending on how the message was routed, there may be several "Received" fields - these get added at each mail server that handles the message. Each "Received" field contains information such as IP addresses, host names, dates, and times - these can be used to tell how the message was routed and how long it took. Note that a sender can fake, or "spoof", their information (usually these are spammers), but once the message reaches real-world servers the information will be correct.

  • How do I view jpg images on iPhone 4?

My daughter sent me some pictures via text message from her windows 7 phone. I can see them in the text message but when I saved them to my iPhone 4, I can't see them. The only thing that shows up in the photo album is a gray box with the letter 'jpg' in it. Do I need an app to view? Are the files too big? Assistance please. :-)

If its not installed, there's nothing to delete.
Perhaps the OP is referring to hiding the purchased apps when viewing their history in the app store.  For that, one can use a computer to go to the "Purchased" section of the iTunes store, then while viewing the list of purchased items you'll see a small "x" in the top corner of the item you hover over, click on that and the item will be hidden from your purchase history from any device used to browse your past purchases.

  • Calendar app crashes when trying to view jpg image off calendar event.

i run my electrical buisness off the calandar app and it synces with 5 other people including myself. we scan an image(work order) attach it to the event in the calander then everyone can download it and view it anyware instantly. my problem is that 1 out of 5 times it will crash as soon as you tap the attachment in the calander event. it crashes back to home screen. any suggestions?
i really dont want to go back to windows operating system. i convinced everyone to go apple and now they are on my *** about this issue. THANKS

An obsertation:  I have what appears to be an all-day event on April 1, that is a note that it is April Fools Day.  However, this note is part of a holidays calendar that I subscribe to on my iPad.  The holiday entries are an actual subscription, not individual entries on the calendar.
I have not had any Calendar crashes with this April 1 entry at all.  As Skydiver said, it might be a DST problem, but it seemed strange that some folks are having crash problems with all day entries on 4/1 and some are not.  Maybe this subscription entry doesn't count as an all day entry??  Dunno.

  • Something in Firefox is blocking viewing. It happens while in Yahoo/Yahoo Mail, while trying to view Firefox personas/themes and with other sites.

(for example, in Yahoo mail I am unable to see the box to click to make an email read or unread. In looking at firefox personas all I see are white boxes where I should see personas.) I have uninstalled Firefox three different times to no avail. I can go into Opera and I can see things normal. I would appreciate any help.

  • Colors off in Preview when viewing JPG's with sRGB profiles

I have a 30" Dell monitor and my display preferences are set to use the calibrated profile for it. When I view JPGs images in any color managed application such as Preview the colors are horribly off. They are kind of dull, unsaturated, pale. JPG's that don't have sRGB profiles show up fine.
I can fix the problem in photoshop by opening the image and then doing a save for web which strips the profile information off of the jpg.
If I use sRGB as my monitor's profile colors are consistent across all applications but the problem is the colors are really bad. Extremely over contrasty and very dark.
What's going on with my color profiles?

    Hi topmodelphotography ..
If you're keen about running the right profiles - please don't mess up the way you do. The sRGB profile that you're using is showing a narrower color space (value 0-16 of blacks are out). The sRGB profile is mainly used for consumer monitors in the cheap end where contrast conditions are worse that expensive and professional displays to present contents in a similar way across manufacturers. If you should use any predefined color profile, please use Adobe (1998) profiling.
best practive is calibrating your monitor with a good calibrator and use these profiles.
In System Preferences you should set up the calibrated profile and the same goes for all Adobe apps under Color Settings.

Your issue with Preview is most likely due to erroneous setup in System Settings. otherwise try and disable Dithering in Preview.
And don't use Save for Web if you intend to keep at least a minor part of your colors in your images. Use TIFF's where possible (without 'upgrading' images from compressed formats such as JPEG's, GIF's, etc.)

  • Firefox 4.0 is my default browser, and I am receiving a script error message when I try to view online images in Family Tree Maker 2011, a genealogy program. Have not had problems until Firefox 4.0. Can't seem to find a setting in Firefox to fix this.

Error is as follows: Line: 63 Char: 4344 Error: Unable to get value of the property 'offsetHeight': object is null or undefined Code: 0 URL: http://yui.yahooapis.com/combo?2.8.0/build/yuiloader-dom- event/yuiloader-dom-event.js&2.8.0/build/dragdrop/dragdrop- min.js&2.8.0/build/stylesheet/stylesheet- Do you want to continue running scripts on this page? Y/N buttons."

I see. Well, I just tried to make IE my default browser, but it did not solve the problem. I receive the same script error when I view the image. (I may not have explained this thoroughly enough at first - I do get to view the image after answering the error message, but the print button embedded in the window doesn't work. Before, I never had a problem with viewing or printing.)
I imagine that at this point I will either need to communicate this to the IE people, or possibly revert to an older version of IE.

  • I am unable to view some images sent by email or on certain websites.  How do i fix this.

I am unable to view some images sent by email or on certain websites.  How do i fix this.

Hi. I'm not technically skilled, but based on the reply from the other guy re. AdBlock Plus being the common denominator to everyone's problems, I checked my Filter settings (ABP version 2.0.3) and deselected 'Fanboy's List (English)'. With this deselected and ABP still 'enabled' the messages work as usual.
I only had this problem using Virgin Mail, so must be the way they now present their mail that conflicts with 'Fanboy's List (English)' filter. I guess I'll need toi choose another filter.

  • How can I view previously sent e-mails ( with images attached or photo-mail)in Adobe Photoshop?

I would like like to be able to view previously sent e-mails in the "photo mail".
Then I would like to be be able to forward them to a new address.
Also, when I include my own e-mail, gmail thinks the address is unvalidated or is phising. I sent a copy to my own e-mail to be able to review what had been sent.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you.
    Karen

The organizer is not a browser, it is a database : even if it can show photos in your folders structure, it only works on the files wich have been 'imported' and registered in the catalog. It can show your registered pictures displayed according to the real folder structure based on the paths registered with each present file, but you'll have problems if some upper level folder is empty.
On the other hand, the items registered in a catalogue can't be duplicates, and the Organizer prevents duplicates to be registered. There is no simple one click way to override this constraint, which would mean a different database 'key', that is to rename the duplicates you want to register.
Practical way : since you have to rename the duplicates before importing them, you could do this directly in Windows or any other freeware like Faststone photoresizer.
Or you could open those pictures directly from the editor, browsing in your folder structure.
Imagine you have duplicates in a folder and want to rename them and import them using only PSE :
    - From the editor, use the 'process multiple files' to export the files from this folder and rename them, for instance 'IMG_0012.jpg' + 'dupl' stating the same destination folder
    - Try again to 'get files and videos' from the organizer.

  • Mail strips receiving *.jpg images

How can I get mail to accept all *.jpg images.
It seems to strip some out of incoming mail. I've tested this sending mail from my MS DOS machine with Outlook and *.jpg attachements. They are received my the G-Mail server, but do not show up in Apple mail.
Thanks, folks. This is very frustrating.

I've had the same problem since around March as well. Thought it was something I did. After waiting for 10.5.2, then reinstalling system from scratch with 10.5.3. I now think there is something more to it.
I use my .Mac account and the mail.app. When I use the .mac webmail, I can see the .jpg's that people send me (usually photos), but the show up as only the file name, no picture, no attachment, in mail.app
    anyone else with this problem?

  • Viewing JPG's in LR vs. Other photo viewers

I finished processing a photo within LR, converted to JPG and it looked great. Sent it to the client and they were less happy with it.
I finally realized they were viewing the photo using MS Picture Manager and I view via LR. The JPG looked great in LR..just as it looked when I converted. Within MS Picture Manager however, it is much more orange looking and was unacceptable.
Why is this? ...and what advice from does anyone have as to sharing sending out proofs of your work to clients and ensure they are seeing the photo's you intend.
    thanks

As long as your clients don't have a color managed system you can't do anything because you don't know their system and settings. Send them proof prints. That's the only safe way or invite them to your office/home and present the images on your system.
If your clients don't have a proper monitor profile and a color managed app to view your images you have no chance to know what they see.
In the windows world it is the same problem on the web because there exist no browser with color management.

  • How can I get a tab to open in an oversize jpg image in its original size with scroll bars when I click on a link?

I have a small program for storing my genealogy names and jpg images of the census pages where each name is found. The images have a thumbnail link that opens in a new tab to view the actual oversized census page. In the new tab the census page is small and not readable. How do I get the jpg image to appear in its original size with schroll bars so I can read the census in the firefox browser without using the zoom feature. It takes several clicks on the zoom to get the image to a readable size and that is time consuming, especially when I have several images opened.

    That works, thank you!
Could I suggest that this feature (the ability to turn off or turn on the auto-resize of images) be part of the Options tab on Firefox? I think it's a setting that some users might want to change fairly often--even toggle back and forth on. It's a little annoying to have to go into about:config every time to do this.
