Blog for tablet layout

How do I add a blog for a tablet layout. I have it for the desktop, but since the template for the tablet is different than desktop, how do I add a blog for the tablet layout without creating a second blog?

That answer really helped and I am making progress! Now for some reason when I pull up the blog on my mobile, it says 'Error: Some files are missing or can not be loaded. Please clear cache and reload the page.' Any ideas why this might be happening? I haven't used the {system_visitorDeviceClass} that you mentioned.
Maybe the method I used to create mobile layouts was wrong but what I did was create mobile and tablet layouts with the {tag_pagecontent} on each. Once published, I copied the html code for the phone template (as it did not automatically recognize the mobile and tablet page template were part of the same desktop layout) and pasted it to my template I had already assigned as a default. I then did the same for my tablet layout. What am I missing here : /

I am unable to get the windows TIP for Tablet PCs to auto pop up when clicking with a stylus or my finger. What add-on/setting will fix this?

I have a lenovo Thinkpad Convertible tablet. In the past I've been able to get it were the Windows TIP pops up when I click on a text input field. This function no longer works, I have a new computer, and whatever change I'd done to my old computer is not readily apparent. Any help in getting text input fields to pop up the TIP automatically would be great. Until then, in tablet mode, I have to use my computer with IE or keep the TIP at the taskbar to click on, but that's a lot of movement and rather annoying.

I had to enable this settings for TIP to work on my HP EliteBook 2740p after installing the driver from Wacom's website.
When I was using the Wacom driver supplied from Windows Update however the TIP worked even fine without this setting.

Widgets not functioning correctly on tablet layout

I've noticed that my new ipad is showing my tablet layout of muse website, but some of the widgets are not functioning correctly. I have tried a few widgets for the tablet layout and it has resulted in problems.

Blog Post List layout - images missing

My developer is saying that it is not possible to include post images in the blog post list layout.
Can you confirm if this is correct?
Here is my current blog post list layout http://www.onlineiq.biz/_blog/onlineiq_blog
and images only display when clicking on Post Detail view.
I know this can be acheived with web apps, but just needed to confirm that he is not missing something or that there is a trick we need to be aware of.

I think what your developer is doing is using the tag for the layout to show a number of characters rather then the one to show the first paragraph. The latter will allow you to have html such as images but you need to ensure your first paragraph is short and sweet - and intro and the css styles for the image work.
But as you can see, it is defiantly possible.

I visited your site using Dreamweaver CC and tested it using the default Desktop, Tablet and Mobile sizes, followed by the Smart Phone Size.
The CSS you currently have sets the featurest <div> to 'display: none' when viewed on screen sizes lower than 480px:
Another helpful way to find out what is going on with your CSS is to test the site with Firefox using Web Developer Tools to inspect the element (or alternatively, Adobes Inspect tool). You can right-click the image and "Inspect Element" then resize the browser window so you can see exactly which CSS rule is being applied and overrided.
My suggestion would be to add an additional media query in Dreamweaver to handle all screen sizes below 480px and then set divs or elements you want to hide or show display property to visible.

Search Module for adaptive layout

Hi BC Community,
I am creating an adaptive layout site for my client (so, desktop/tablet/mobile versions). I am using the search module in the site design, which is working quite well, however, on the desktop site, it is showing pages from the mobile and tablet sites in the search results.
Does anyone have a work around to solve this issue? For the desktop search results, I just want it to show desktop pages, same goes for tablet and mobile.

ASE 12 is very old and since no Eng support maybe decision made to not use datetime. However, you can certainly request feature - if you are able to create incident we can create Feature and then incident can be used for tracking purposes, etc.
If unable to create incident please provide details:
ASE version (exact with select @@version)
SDK version being used
code sample to demonstrate problem and the output from such a test
If you used TDS please provide that trace as well if possible

For the class .footer_style, you need to remove the height:200px (set a min-height:200px if you want the <div> to never shrink past a certain point) and add overflow:hidden so it doesn't collapse with all those floated elements within it.
That should do it.

Pinning in Tablet Layout

I'm hoping that someone can help me understand why Muse is not allowing me to pin my navigation in tablet layout?

The short answer is because it won't work. Web browsers for many tablets don't support pinning, so Muse doesn't let you pin objects in tablet designs, since it won't work for most website visitors that use a tablet.

Having some issues tweaking the Blog Post List Layout to output to adobe Muse

So basically, I have watched the videos on BC Gurus and have posed the question on modifying the blog module in muse to get output I want. when I use module {module_blogsitepost} it does not show all the information I want, but when I click a url to a blog post, it jumps to another page that shows the "BLOG TITLE", "BLOG DESCRIPTION", "RECENT POST", TAGS, and "ARCHIVE" which I think would be helpful on the main {module_blogsitepost} module.
So, i took the tags from the "OVERALL BLOG LIST MODULE" which does have that information and pasted into the module {module_blogsitepost} which in BC under modules is Blog Post List Layout. However the output just turns to the image below:
I really do not know what I am doing wrong, if anything at all. Is this a limit of the cooperation between adobe MUSE and BC? Should not make a difference if I am copying all the HTML and passing it into the HTML view of the Module I want. Why is there not a bracket { } module for "OVERALL BLOG LIST MODULE" on the http://kb.worldsecuresystems.com/134/bc_1345.html ?
It is strange that there are modules in BC that do not show code strings to generate the output shown on this list? Is it because this capability is limited? It is strange. Please jump over to my site ( http://furnitureassemblyservice.com/blog.html ) to see what I mean. BTW, I added the Tags Module to the site so that at least shows.
One other question.. And maybe this is a Muse question, I try to add text or objects to the side of the blog entry but they are pushed to the bottom? Not sure if I need to add this into an object with the Module and mark it up in html with a table to make that work? I ask because I am trying to monitize the blog and add banners to the side or top.

Pin Footer in Phone & Tablet layout

Is it possible to pin the footer to the bottom of the screen in the phone and tablet version?
The pin icon is not highlighted and will not allow me to pin the footer.

Due to lack of support on some tablet and smartphone browsers, pinning is disabled in Muse for tablet and smartphone layouts.
You might see in this feature in futue releases of Adobe Muse.

How can I create new wireframe for tablet in resolution 1280px?

The largest layout supported currently is 992px. The product does have the Tablet layout at 768px width, this was probably chosen given that tablets typically need to be viewable at either horizontal or vertical orientations. Often with web design one caters to the industry standard or lowest common denominator for the intended device, thats not to say you have to do that, just helps vistors hopefully have a consistent experience viewing the site.
If you would still really like to see support for 1280px wireframes added, we could create an idea thread with this as a feature request?

LV7.1 Strange behavior with Automatic Error Handling occuring when it shouldn't [LV 7.1 Pro on WinXP for Tablet PC's]

I recently let a rather large LV app of mine run in the development environment while I was out for a couple of days. Upon returning I found that the app had hung for ~22 hours waiting for an answer to an Automatic Error Handling (AEH) dialog proclaiming an Error 7 in New File without any indication of the VI hierarchy that called New File. I set about ensuring that AEH dialogs would not pop up and have not been able to discover how I could have possibly received one in the first place.
Subsequent investigation revealed:
Neither AEH option in Options>Block Diagrams were checked.
Network problems had occurred around the time that the app had hung. All file paths are network paths when running in the development environment, so the cause of the error was most likely valid, even if the AEH dialog appearance wasn't.
My app has only one instance where the New File primitive is used by me. That subVI and all others above it in the hierarchy DO NOT have the AEH property enabled. The error out cluster of New File in my subvi is wired.
My app has three instances where New File is called from a vi.lib vi (Open/Create/Replace File.vi, Open Config Data.vi, and Prompt Web Browser Path.vi), none of which have the AEH property enabled. Nor does any of their calling VI's. All three instances also have their error out cluster wired.
A utility to examine the AEH property of all VI's (with all top level and dynamic VI's loaded) in memory reported that only 1 of 308 vi's ( RGT Does File Exists.vi from the Report Generation Toolkit) had that property true. That vi has no subVI's other than the File/Directory Info primitive and no calling VI's in common with any of the vi's that call New File, except a top level VI.
As long as 'Enable automatic error handling dialogs' remains unselected in options>block diagram, I am unable to get an AEH dialog for either the New File or File/Directory Info primitives in a test VI with AEH property enabled and their error out clusters unwired no matter what invalid path I pass to the functions. As soon as the options>block diagram>Enable AEH dialogs' is selected, both primitives fire AEH dialogs with no error out wired and don't when wired. i.e. works as advertised.
In other words I can find no reason why I should have gotten the problem AEH dialog...
I cannot afford for this app to hang because of a network problem, other portions of the app that were running concurrently correctly handled the error and, had the AEH dialog not appeared, the app would have made corrections or shutdown in an orderly fashion.
Any ideas?

Write Characters to File.vi>Open/Create/Replace File.vi>New File
New File throws the error. Open/Create/Replace strips the hierarchy from the source of the error. Write Characters passes it to the General Error Handler. I never looked above O/C/R file in the hierarchy except for enable automatic error handling property. The tip-off should have been to realize that O/C/R file was stripping the hierarchy from the error and look above that.
The real irony is that Write Characters was being used to log error cluster data to an error log file...
Save as... Copy without updating... the OEM 'Write Characters to File' is gone from this app.
