Solution2:
Its also possible to create ur own Blog with personal information,Comments
by creating XML files.
Solution3:
U can create ur own webdynpro application to bring such functionality (may b using dyndmic Programming) .u can store these user information in r/3 by using adaptive RFC models in Webdynpro.

  • Blog for SAP Portal

    Hello,
    has anybody integrated a blog into the SAP Enterprise Portal ?
    If so : which 3rd party can be recommended & is there the possibility to have tight integration with the portal (branding, look & feel), business package, etc?
    Easy points to earn )
    Thanks!

    Thanks for the response!
    In the meantime I have done some research :
    http://wordpress.org/ (PHP/MySQL - can be installed in multiple languages http://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_in_Your_Language / Publishing a blog in multiple languages requires some tweaks http://blog-en.icanlocalize.com/installing-wordpress-for-multiple-language-blogs or via a plugin http://www.poplarware.com/languageplugin.html)
    http://www.s9y.org/ (PHP/MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite - can be installed in multiple languages)
    http://roller.apache.org/ (Java based - used by IBM, Sun, etc. Nice example : http://blogs.sun.com/ - supports publishing blog entries in multiple languages out of the box  http://rollerweblogger.org/project/)
    Further possibilities on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weblog_software
    Currently, the Apache Roller seems to be the most promising.

  • Blogging application for SAP Portal?

    I would like to ask what kind of Blogging application is the SDN using on it's pages?
    We would like to add a blogging application for the Portal and have read that at the moment, there is no SAP built-in application for blogging.
    What would be the best solution to integrate Enterprise blogging in the SAP Portal?

    Did you get to look at this [thread|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/thread?messageID=6415605#6415605]

  • Issues accessing keystore of SAP Portal

    we need to configure an SSO from SAP portal and a third party website by passing encrypted userid as url parameters.
    To configure the SSO I have received the public key of the third party and able to access it from server location. Now I have to access priavte key of the SAP Portal certificate and sign the UserId and pass it as url parameter. I have gone through many blogs and written code as below which is giving Invalid Keystore Format error.
    My question is
    1. What should be passed to FileInputStream?
    As of now we are passing the .cer file which is stored as part of project.
    Below code is throwing error at ks.load() method.
    String fielPath1 = request.getPublicResourcePath()+"/SAPLogonTicketKeypair-cert1.cer";
    FileInputStream ksfis = new FileInputStream(fielPath1);
    KeyStore ks = KeyStore.getInstance("JKS");
    ks.load(null, sPass.toCharArray());
    BufferedInputStream ksbufin = new BufferedInputStream(ksfis);
    ks.load(ksbufin, sPass.toCharArray());
    PrivateKey priv = (PrivateKey) ks.getKey(alias, kPass.toCharArray());
    Error is:
    Invalid keystore formatsun.security.provider.JavaKeyStore.engineLoad(JavaKeyStore.java:633)sun.security.provider.JavaKeyStore$JKS.engineLoad(JavaKeyStore.java:38)java.security.KeyStore.load(KeyStore.java:1185)am_sso_apc.doContent(am_sso_apc.java:132)com.sapportals.portal.prt.component.AbstractPortalComponent.serviceDeprecated(AbstractPortalComponent.java:213)
    Please let me know how to pass the filepath to extract the priavte key .
    Regards,
    Satish

    Sorry to say: but that's a bad advise.
    The usertype impacts not only the ability / requirement to change passwords (see <a href="http://service.sap.com/~form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=REDIR&_NNUM=622464">SAP Note 622464</a>).
    A better advise might be <a href="http://service.sap.com/~form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=REDIR&_NNUM=869218">SAP Note 869218</a>: if users need to have the option to logon to the ABAP backend systems by using UID/PWD but do not want to be prompted to change those backend passwords when accessing the backend systems through the Portal, then that note can provide some solution.
    Of course: not using UID/PWD but some (other) sort of SSO would be the better approach. However, somethimes that is not possible (e.g. when it would be required to purchase an SNC partner product, according to <a href="http://service.sap.com/~form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=REDIR&_NNUM=66687">SAP Note 66687</a>).

  • PeopleSoft ESS to be surfaced through SAP Portal

    Hi - We have a client who is considering using SAP Portal platform and surfacing the PeopleSoft ESS pages through it... Easy way of doing that would be to either open a new window with the PeopleSoft ESS pages (transactions) or to surface the entire PeopleSoft portal within the SAP Portal framework... Both of them will potentially reduce the user experience. I am very interested in knowing if other organizations have faced this issue - and what have been the various options considered to surface each ESS page (transaction) from PeopleSoft separately.
    Thanks

  • Com.sap.portal.runtime.login.par.bak

    Hi everyone,
    I've been reading blogs and forum posting regarding how to change the logon page.  In all sources that I read, they all refer that the location of 'com.sap.portal.runtime.login.par.bak' is in '<drive>:\usr\ap\W01\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd'
    directory...
    However, I found mine in '<drive>:\usr\ap\W01\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\temp'
    directory...
    Is is fine just to use the one in 'temp' directory?  Furthermore, after I do the changes, should I copy the par file to both temp and pcd directory?
    Thanks
    Johannes

    Hello,
    You will have to remove the .bak extension and put the file in PCD directory before you restart for the chnages to take effect.
    Also please do not name the par file same as com.sap.portal.runtime.login.par give it any other name like mylogon.par edit the par file using NWDS, and put it in PCD. Restart the engine the new par file will be used.

  • Information on the wiki and blog functionnality into Portal NW2004s

    Hello everybody,
    i have done some research on the portal but i didn't find any good information on the wiki or the blog functionnality for the portal. I have installed EP NW2004s and i want to implement these possibility on it.
    So can you help to find how i can do that.
    - Does SAP have already developped a solution for the wiki and the blog for the portal and then where can i find it if it's the case?
    - If no solution are developped by SAP, what kind of software can i use to add it to my portal. I heard somme possibility on the forum like Twiki or JSPWiki but i don't know both.
    Please help me?
    Thanks

    Hi Jerome,
    SAP is stearing towards something that they call "Corporate Workspace" or st like that, where they will include all those nice features.
    So far, they are not available as I know.
    If you want to import a custom wiki, try JSPWIki. They have a ProviderAPI that capsulates the Wiki from the persistance, so it should be easy to build a KM Provider that matches the Repository-API.
    I wont go with TWIKI, since though possible, you will mix PERL and Java on the NW.

    Hi,
    By default, URLs in the portal are shortened, with the navigation target converted (hashed) into a short GUID.
         http://myServer:54000/irj/portal
    NavigationTarget=ROLES://portal_content/every_user/general/eu_role/com.sap.portal.portal_personalization/com.sap.portal.persoUserMapping.
         A short version of the URL might be the following, with the navigation target hashed and shortened:
    http://myServer:54000/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=navurl://b3d6d9ebac16a46574d62757803b05d4
         Go to SystemAdministration->Navigation->ShortUrls(it is in detailed navigation area)->from here you can select Short URLs for custom roles.
         Give the Shorturl as NavigationTarget.
    Refer this blog
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/2452">Short URL</a>
    You can also use Quick links for iView and pages

  • Integration of Fiori Launch Pad in SAP Portal

    Hello everyone,
    Is it possible to integrate the Fiori Launch Pad into the SAP Portal? Any Ideas, Links to Documentation,...?
    Thank you!
    BR, René.

    Hello ,
    I am trying to integrate Fiori Launchpad using the iview integration approach as you mentioned in this blog (http://scn.sap.com/community/enterprise-portal/blog/2014/07/17/sap-fiori-launchpad-on-portal-sample-content-for-administrators)  .
    My Portal version is SAP Netweaver Portal 7.31 SP12  and the requirement I for normal Desktop category and no Mobile requirement.
    My steps:
    1)Created URL Alias for Fiori Framework Desktop
    2)Done Rule Collection and Device Group Manager Updates.
    3) I copied the "Fiori Launchpad Categories" iView template to my personal folder.
    4) For the Category01 ID - provided the Fiori Launchpad URL , Order = 1 and Title
    5) Assigned this iView to Workset and Role with as Entry point.
    6) I did not import - OOB_Admin.epa as I already had the iView "Fiori Launchpad Categories"
    7) I have also set the property in iView , No of Levels in Top level Navigation = 2
    8) In the point # 4 , it is mentioned about setting the 6 properties , Where do I find these properties to set ? I do not see these properties in the "Fiori Launchpad Categories" iview.
    9) Also , I cannot preview the iView ( for FFP) as I assume this may not display in AFP  is Default Framework Page for 7.31 . With all the above steps , I just see a small SAP Logo at the Right hand side and nothing else , no Top level Navigation.  And at the bottom Left I see the Text " Remove Tile".
    Please advise what other extra step I need to configure.
    Many Thanks, Richa

  • TIME on ESS/MSS with the SAP Portal, release ERP2005 ECC6.

    Hello,
    I need to implement TIME (Leave request) on ESS/MSS with the SAP Portal, release ERP2005 ECC6.
    Any informations about the customizing for a proof of concept would be appreciated.
    All the back-end (R/3) as allready been customized.
    Thanks for your responses.
    Olivier

    Hello,
    If you already have all the templates and such configured then its easy. We don't have ESS and only one MSS scenario. However we support the web environment via BSP HAP_DOCUMENT. You can include our list pages in an Iview and assign that to the ESS or MSS scenario in the portal.
    They also run stand alone, so you can test it as well without configuring the portal.
    See also <a href="/people/sap.user72/blog/2007/02/20/objective-setting-appraisals-the-web-environment bloggy</a> on OSA and the web Environment, especially the last part will be of interest for you.
