Blog Post Links Won't Work

I'm publishing to a folder and using FileZilla to upload the site. I simply click and drag all the files within my site folder onto the site. I did not click and drag the folder, because then it gives me the address http://HealthyDayFitness.com/HealthyDayFitness/Welcome.html. Looks messy in my opinion.
I'm a little confused on what you mean by blank spaces on the page name... This is the blog page that works: http://healthydayfitness.com/Blog/Blog.html
If you click on "First Post," that's when things go haywire, but I don't see any blank spaces in that broken URL.
Any other thoughts? If not, I'll give the folder upload a try.

External links won't work once published

Hi, I'm self taught so don't always understand everything and I'm a complete novice with iWeb, used Front Page before getting a Mac.
I'm in the process of building a new website using iWeb and I'm having problems with getting links to external pages to work. They work fine in iWeb. 'Enable as a hyperlink' and 'make hyperlinks active' is ticked for all links. I've formatted the links to be coloured red, then orange when visited and blue with an underline on roll over, grey if disabled. All works fine in iWeb but then when I publish the links won't work. They will momentarily and then they won't. If I refresh the page then one or two will work but when you go back to the page they won't work again. I've deleted them all and redone them, still the same problem. Tried it in Safari and Firefox, same problem. Deleted the site from the server and republished, same problem. Anyone got any ideas?
On the page in question I have a widget to SkyScanner, thought that was maybe causing a conflict. Deleted it and republished, same problem.

Also I have another couple of questions. How do you resample images? I have used a background image on the pages and I've managed to get it to stay static by altering the code slightly but don't know how to resample it so that the page will load quickly. Ditto with all the rest of my images. Don't want to have to resize them all manually if possible. Also, with the background image I don't know what size I should make it if I was to do it manually.
Last question... How do you change the title of your page and add a favicon?

Your background image seems to load OK. Use an optimizer to to get it and the whole site to download faster...

Links won't work...in certain circumstances.

Okay...here's the situation:
A couple days ago, all was well. ALL links were working just fine. Following a minor update, all links died.
I set the site up to navigate by clicking pictures rather than using the nav menu. All links to site pages were set up as internal links, any links to outside the site were set up as external links.
I've rigged a partial fix to this: I put clear shapes over the pictures and linked them...these work. Any links that I haven't done this with no longer work.
None of the hyperlinks on text work, nor do the ones I haven't covered with a clear shape. I've gone through, unlinked everything, relinked it and tried again, the text links and non-covered pics still don't work.
To top it all off, the photo albums created BY IWEB aren't working either! (these will be ericthelutheran.info/sclcy/bb2011 & ch2011 in the link I provide). When you try to click on the navigation buttons between pages or on the pictures to get to a larger view, they don't work at all. Again, the albums were created by iWeb itself.
I don't know what to do short of starting over, but I hate to do that after all this work (though it's not finished yet). Help!
Current versions of iWeb & Lion, tried multiple browsers w/ same result.

EDIT: Links won't work due to ID-10-T error. I laid a clear box over everything with line edge to "frame" the page...nothing like a nice sheet of glass to prevent it from being messed with!

After dowloading the CS5 Design Premium, I get an error messagin stating "A problem occurred while extracting the archive. Please try downloading the Adobe CS5 Design Premium again." I repeated this process multiple times (8) to no avail. I am trying to download the CS5 design premium on my new laptop, but don't have the software cds to do this. Thus, I can only download the software but after i download the two files required, that error message appears. (I already have my serial number). I have tried disabling my Antivirus as sometimes it detects the files as virus and removes them while downloading. I have also tried downloading after performing Selective Startup.
Can Adobe mail the software cds instead of sending download links?

Rogue Link Won't Work

I have used a script that I found here in the forum to create a "back" link. I used it on over 20 video pages. It works on every page but one. I have created an entirely new page. I did a "save as" wtih a similar page with a working link, reworked the content, saved it under the url that I needed, uploaded it and it still doesn't work.
You can test this by going to http://www.hstool.com/rolling.html. Select the video link in the bottom right corner which will open the video page. The "back" link will not work. Go to the same site /splitframeodmount.html, activate the link and the back link on that will work fine. Same script used on both.

The others aren't opening in a new window, there's no target="_blank" in the Video link.
When you open a page in a new blank window or tab, there is no history for the javascript to read in that window/tab so it does nothing when clicked.

Some blog posts link to the main url instread of the blog page

So the title is a little confusing, but I use iweb for a church website. I use the blogs as a way to post videos of the weekly sermons. For some reason my blog posts from 10/24 and 10/31 and 11/7 tries to load the main site, but it does not exist in that folder so nothing loads.

Websites are formatted incorrectly and links won't work, since last update

Since I installed the latest updates for firefox certain websites such as : http://www.escapistmagazine.com/ and hotmail , are incorrectly formatted and the links on the pages don't work. I can load my inbox on hotmail but the links to the emails don't work ie. you click on it and nothing happens. On the Escapist many of the links don't match the boxes they should be in, sections of the page are in the wrong place with images not loading, and many of the links don't load the right page, if anything at all.
I've tried to use the report broken website function but this gets stuck on sending report and if you click submit report again it shows the details etc as being blank.
I've tried restoring FF to defaults and also reinstalling it with no success. I know the website are okay as IE loads them correctly.

Interesting thread on Quark's forums. Mark Douma posts here, too. Very knowledgeable with the how fonts work in direct relation to the OS.
I just opened a bunch of OpenType fonts and launched Quark. No problems. But as Mark noted, you'll see the bug pop up after a restart and then try to open the document that uses the OpenType fonts.
However, I created a simple document using a half dozen different OpenType fonts and saved it to the desktop. Going by Mark's assumption about the cache files, I shut down my Mac and turned it back on. Essentially the same as turning it on the next day. Per his thoughts, I left the font cache files alone, activated the fonts again in Suitcase Fusion and launched Quark 6.52 by double clicking the document I had just created. Quark and the document opened without a hitch.
Per Mark's post at Quark's forums, Quark should have crashed since I'm doing this all under 10.4.10. That tells me that while the font cache files are the problem for those who need to keep clearing the cache files to get OpenType fonts to work each day, it's not due to OS 10.4.6+. Since I'm having no issues (and never have), I would have to believe it's more likely to be a damaged OS that's causing the problems. If the OS is damaged, then the likelihood that it will in turn write damaged cache files is high.
Or, Quark is damaged. It writes its own font cache files in the /Applications/QuarkXPress 6.0/jaws/ttfont/ folder. If you cleared only those cache files out and relaunched Quark, it might work without clearing the system cache files. That would tell you for sure that Quark needs to be reinstalled rather than the OS.

Links won't work properly in Firefox.

Does it happen when you access those links from other places? Like this post. I have no problems seeing what's in there.
I would recommend to restart Firefox in Safe Mode to diagnose if there's any add-on that is causing this problem: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]]
If this doesn't solve the issue, please try to clean the cache and cookies of Match.com: [[How to clear the Firefox cache]]

Iweb links won't work for some people

Hi! I have recently made a website using iweb and most people have no troubles viewing all my pages (even if they appear slightly different than I designed them). I have gotten emails from a few people, however, saying they can't get to some of my pages.
My website is www.ccforkids.com and the links that are causing troubles are the ones at the bottom of the slings page (sizing, instructions, etc.) there might be others, but these are the ones I have recieved emails about.

If other people are willing to try a different browser, that seems to be the best solution, yes. Without knowing exactly what isn't working for them, I wouldn't like to say there's nothing else you can do.
For example I find that IE for Mac (no longer supported by MS) doesn't show Apple's comments on blogs, so at the moment I'm using both those comments and iComment. I've also turned off the local iDisk, since that was making the running of both systems unworkable.

Blog RSS Feed won't work

In my application if the blog appears on the restricted page where login is required "Subscribe to RSS" link gives the error as below.
Safari can't open the page "feed:xxx.xxxx.xxx/xxx/xxx/xxx/-/blogs/rss". The error is: "The feed could not be loaded because the content is not in a known feed format." (PubSub:2) Please choose Safari > Report Bugs to Apple, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message.
RSS Feed loads correctly in on MAC Firefox.
If the blog appears on the page where login is not required, RSS Feed loads correctly in MAC Safari also.
Is the feed processed differently in both scenarios described above? Is there a way to make it work?

You are running 10.6.2 according to your profile. Download and install the v10.6.3 Combo Update
Then repair disk permissions.
Quit any open applications/programs. Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.

Blu-ray menu button made with dynamic link won't work on Blu-ray disc

Ok. So I used dynmamic link to my encore project and I also imported an mpg.4 as an asset for a separate menu button. I have two buttons on linked to the premire pro project and one linked to the mpg.4. Everything works fine in preview and the flow chart is fine everything is going where its supposed to go.
When I play the blu-ray disc the menu shows, the video thumbnails show...but when I hit the menu button that is supposed to play the premier pro video it does not work. But when I hit the menu button for the mpeg.4 video it does work.
Can anyone tell me what is going on?

I browsed the internet and saw that I need to turn off reading in PDF/A mode. but that doesnt work either.

My hyper links won't work in preview that I created in Pages

I have Version 5.1 Pages. My links work fine in Pages but when I change the document to pdf it loses it's hyperlink.

Known bug (amongst many) in Pages 5.
Pages '09 is fine.

Js slider image link won't work

I am trying to add a link to an image in a tm_slider banner slideshow image. The a href tag isn't working. Adding it through add behavior also did not work. Adding a hotspot to the .png also did not work. Any suggestions?

When href target is changed to new html file; the link won't work within the F12 browser check?

The web site is a java animated site.
This link works fine:   <li><a href="index-2.html">Technologies</a></li>
This link doesn't:          <li><a href="index-2a.html">Technologies</a></li>
The index-2a file was created from the index-2 file to make changes to it.
When I state the link works fine, it means that after pressing F12 to bring up the home page, and then clicking on the above link in the home page it works FINE.
After the change, it doesn't work.
It is wierd as hell . . . .there has to be a logical explanation that I'm just not seeing.

Thanks again for your suggestion.   Wasn't thinking and loaded the two pages to our company's existing web site. .. but, the jquery, css sheets, etc are all different . . .geeez, what a dumbo . . .anyway, a bit too much trouble.
And YES the links work, no problem.
Of course all the styling, formatting is not there, but the links appear to be working.
so now i'm thinking somehow it's related to the dependent files . . .
Anyway, thanks Nancy for giving this a try . . not quite sure what I will do at this point . . .
