Blog summery page excerpts not displaying in iWeb

I'm new to iWeb. I've created a blog in my new website but the summery page does not display the excerpts within iWeb (i have selected 5 excerpts to display with the inspector). when i publish the site, the excerpts display on the webpage. But since they do not display within iWeb I have no opportunity to make the excerpt font match the rest of the blog, nor do i get the opportunity to relocate a photo within the excerpt before publishing.
Within iWeb, moving the mouse over the area where excerpts are supposed to be displayed generates the phrase "double-click to interact with the summery." when i double click the box gets a blue border but it is always empty and i cant seem to do anything with it.
any ideas?

I solved this problem by updating to iWeb 2.0.4

Blog Summary Page Does Not Update Picture

For some reason, when I create a new blog entry by duplicating the last one and adding new content, the Blog Summary page will not update the picture. I sometimes either have to create a new blank blog entry, or drag a different picture into the placeholder, followed by my original.
Is this happening to anyone else? I think I am going to finish out my year-long blog project with iWeb/MobileMe, then drop both! This is getting to frustrating.

A wise move — problems with iWeb's blog are a recurring theme on these forums: Lost all blog entries or all comments or unable to publish, etc. If you switch to a dedicated blogging platform you're likely to have a better experience. JSP error page does not displayed on its own, includes in the original JSP

Problem Description: - Exceptions in a Condition cause pages to fail to render.
The actual issue is, the JSP error page does not displayed on its own, included in the original JSP Page when exception occurs.
Problem Cause: As per the JSP specification when jsp content reached the buffer size (default 8KB) the page being flushed (Part of condent displays). The default �autoFlush� value is true.
When the page buffer value is default size (8KB), and if any exception occurs after flushing the part of the content, instead of redirecting into error page, the error page content included in the original page.
If i specify autoFlush="false" and with default buffer size, at the runtime if the buffer size is reached, i am getting stackoverflow error.
To solve the above problem we can make it autoFlush=�false� and buffer=�100KB�. But we can�t predict the actual size of the page.
I found in one of the weblogic forum as no solution for this issue. Ref.

Error-Page tags work best with an error.html pages. If you have an error.jsp page what I would do, and I have, is wrap my classes and jsp pages in a try catch block where you forward to the error jsp page and display anything you want. YOu can also do this with if else statements. I have used the tomcat error pages before but when I've implemented them I used java.lang.Exception as the error to catch not Throwable. I don't know if this would make a difference or have anything to do with your problem.

CmcApp home.faces page will not display.

We have just completed (?) the installation of BOJ 3.1 XI SP 3 and the BOJ SAP integration kit SP 3. The installation is on SQL Server 2008 and SAP Netweaver 7.01 SP 7.
Each time after logging in the the CmcApp page using Administrator and the Enterprise authentication, the next page does not display. In IE8 a download window opens. In IE7 and Firefox the garbage is displayed. I have seen this thread: Re: CmcApp bug on BOE 3.1 using SAP WAS 7.0 and set *.faces to NEVER COMPRESS without any success. The thread just list is still marked as unanswered after a year.

As per my knowledge, we need to do some changes in the application server configurations, in your case it is SAP Netweaver 7.01 SP 7 when BOE is deployed to the SAP NW Java server.
Try the below steps and do verify once again whether it resolves the issue:
1.     Launch the Visual Administrator tool.
2.     Connect to the SAP J2EE Engine by clicking Connect -> Login, select the appropriate connection, and click on the Connect button. Enter the password and click on the Connect button.
3.     Navigate to the HTTP Provider service by going to the Cluster tab, expanding Server, expanding Services, and clicking on HTTP Provider.
4.     On the right side of the screen, click on the Properties tab.
5.     Click on the AlwaysCompressed key. At the bottom of the screen in the Value field, remove "text/html" (without the quotes). Click on Update.
6.     Click on the NeverCompressed key. At the bottom of the screen in the Value field, add "text/html" (without the quotes). Click on Update.
7.     At the top of the screen, click on the Save Properties button.
8.     Restart the NetWeaver server.

Oem web page will not display after O/S dst patch

Hello,
The Grid web page will not display after we DST patch for the o/s.
All below start fine without any errors:
emctl start oms
emctl start iasconsole
opmnctl startall
emctl start agent
The Grid web page is not displaying. What might happened after the o/s dst patch that might cause this? Our GRID is 10204 with a 10104 repository. The 10104 has not yet been dst patch.
What logs should I be looking at to figure why the web page is not displaying? Thank you.

It's the only element that isn't in sync with the other elements on page, when compared to home.html for example.

Notification Detail Page is not displaying

Hi All,
I have a requirement of creating a read only workflow admin responsibility. For that I have followed the below steps.
1. Set 'Workflow Administrator Web Applications' as the Workflow Administrator from administration tab.
2. Create a grant with the below details.
Grantee Type: All Users
Responsibility: Workflow Administrator Web (New)
Object: Workflow Items
Data Context Type: All Rows
Permission Set: Business workflow item permission set
I have done this for viewing the workflow owned by all users and followed the ID 1328447.1 for doing this.
Now everything is working fine, but Notification Detail page is not displaying. It is loading for a long time and
giving the errors, ('The connection was reset' in Mozilla and 'Page Cannot be Displayed' in IE).
Notification detail page will come when I remove this Grant, but it will display only the workflows owned by
that particular user. So this grant is a mandatory component for me.
The issue is there even for the admin responsibility(Workflow Administrator Web Applications) when assigning
this grant.
Can anyone help me on this to resolve this issue.

Best way to reach Apple is to send a Bug Report via the Safari Menu>Report Bugs to Apple. While Apple doesn't respond directly to these notes, the information gets in the hands of Software Engineers at Cupertino.
Specific to the referenced site, there are multiple code errors, which would contribute to the rendering problem. Safari is a lot more specific about following correct code than other browsers. I suggest passing the Validation report on to the site developers. Good code practices (W3) makes for better uniformity and security on the Internet.

My iWeb page is not displaying correctly?

I created a site in iWeb 08 (version 2.0.4. - 830A43), exported to a folder, and then uploaded to the web via ClassicFTP (Mac).
Does not display correctly, but not sure why. temp URL is http://223.130.24.65/~vstacoma/Site/home.html
The font appears black on black (when should appear white and blue text on black b/g as created in iWeb), and some images/logos out of alignment.
I deleted the site in cPanel, cleared cache and uploaded again but no change.
I thought perhaps this is an iWeb code issue?
Would I be better with another web editor to standardise the code?

Not all of the files are being uploaded to the server. The CSS file is one of them as well as the Scripts folder. You can see which files are missing by bringing up the Activity window in Safari (Command+Option+A) and check the list of files for the page.
If you're using iWeb to upload the site try using the File ➙ Upload Entire Site menu option to force a complete republication.
If that does'nt work publish your site to a folder on your hard drive and use a 3rd party client like Cyberduck to upload the file. Many have reported success with CD when iWeb has failed.

Blogging pages always not displayed

Hey all! This is a very annoying and irritating problem. Whenever I try to log into a blogging site, it always can't display the page. I tried blogger.com. That didn't work. I tried Wordpress. That didn't work as well. When I log in, Safari always ask me If I want it to remember my passwords. I always click no. Is that wad's preventing the pages from being displayed? Is it a problem with Safari or the sites? Lately, I've always had a problem with blogging sites. In fact, even Messenger:Mac will not accept my passwords. This password things are freaking me out. All suggestions and solutions welcomed!

It don't matter anymore. I'll use Firefox.
