Blogging in Muse

After scouring the forums for an answer it seem that a lot of web designers and people using Muse are looking for a option to incorporate a blog into their website.
I appreciate that there are a lot of blogging platform out there and these can be linked or embeded into the muse site, but by doing this it doesn;t count in your SEO.
I also understand that a simple text box can be created but if a simple integrated blog widget was available this would save a lot of time.
I'm surprised that this feature hasn't been included as blogs keep web sites fresh and up-to-date with SEO.

Answering the questions :
1) You can use these widgets :
http://musewidgets.com/products/wp-blog-embed
http://musewidgets.com/products/wp-follow-button
2) You can use redirect on pages if its about back links to your site :
http://musewidgets.com/search?q=redirect
For SEO :

  • Help adding blogger blog to MUSE site

I want to add my blogger blog to MUSE, i pasted the RSS/HTML to the arbitrary HTML box, but it doesnt show up in any preview. Anyone have the same problem? Know a solution?

    Hey Courtney,
I've been looking for something simple like the atom.xml solution provided over PM but for the RSS, and there isn't one avaialble.
Because Muse does not have a "native" RSS feed widget, you'll have to use that at least for the moment (source) or you can look up an alternative solution like this one.

  • Business Catalyst Blog into Muse

    Hi there,
I'm attempting to move my entire business catalyst blog into muse so that I can rename the url instead of it being /_blog/blogname
My problem is that I cannot find an easy way to transfer the entire blog to a page. Business Cataylst has options for adding the blog to a webpage however it only transfers parts of it, such as the most recent post.
I'm a newbie and I'm trying to get my www.steannes.com/_blog/steannes to appear exactly the same on page within Muse.
    Thank you!

I reviewed the steps to add the Blog; however, only one blog shows up on the site.  I am using the {module_blogsite,5) as the reference on my Muse page.  Also, in the preview in BC under Modules>blog the two post I have loaded are overlapping one another.
My steps to add teh blog to muse is
I created the blog, added the post then under More Actions I add the blog to my Muse page blog.I use insert all.  Also, when I preview the blogthere is a bar that overlaps my title.  Any help.

  • How to insert a tumbler blog into muse web site?

Hey I was wondering if you know how to insert a tumbler blog into adobe muse? I have a tumbler account but would like to use it in adobe muse. how can I add it to my blog page in muse for desktop?

Goto your Tumblr account and then view it when you're logged out ... the URL link should look something like this?:
    http://my-tumblr-blog.tumblr.com
Now copy & paste that URL link and insert it into this code snippet:
    <iframe src="http://my-tumblr-blog.tumblr.com" onLoad="calcHeight();" scrolling="YES" frameborder="0" width="660" height="950" name="resize" id="resize"></iframe>
Now copy and paste this edited snippet into the Muse page where you want your Blog ... set the correct width and height in the code (see above) to fit your page ...
    Cutomize it:
I would suggest customizing your Blog with the built-in customize HTML section to tweak the embedded Blog page ... i.e. turn off some of the Tumblr sections like Header, Description, etc, if you don't want them ...
Better still go over to this Tumblr Theme site and create a nice custom theme where you can do it all yourself ...
Then after that still use the snippet code above once you have copied & pasted the new customised Tumblr HTML into you Tumblr Blog:
    http://www.totallylayouts.com/tumblr-generator/
The art is to streamline your Blog as much as possible so you get the most screen estate shown in Muse, because as an inserted iFrame widget you do lose a bit ...
    cheers,

  • Can you design a custom blog using muse?

I know how to design my own website and upload it to my server but I was curious if Muse has a way for me to design a custom blog site as well and upload it into wordpress. Let me know!

I'm also thinking about to integrate a content area which could be updated by the customer. I was thinking about something like a "blog-element". After a long search and realising once again that I'm still not the code-guy at all, which lead me to muse eventually , I didn't find an easier solution than the iFrame Builder Lite (iFrame Builder Lite | Exchange | Adobe Muse CC) - maybe this could be also helpful to you.
You can easily embed any site/post you want into adobe muse within a second. That worked for me ; ) So the idea is to set up a wordpress blog where the customer can generate content in a single post - and then it will be simply integrated into muse through the iframe builder by just using the url of that single-post. Everytime my customer updates this one post the content will also change in muse.
Does this makes sense to anybody?! Would be awesome if this is what you are looking for!
    Cheers, Robin

  • Making a Blog in Muse

I want to make a blog website using Creative Cloud on a Mac.  I'd prefer to use Muse, but if it would be easier to use a different app, that would be fine as well.  Any recommendations on how to post articles that can show up in RSS feed?  Thanks!

  • How to add a blog in muse?

How can you add a working blog to a muse site? Is there a plug-in or template?
    Thanks!

Beware of the issues left undescribed in the Adobe video...
    1) If you frame a blog, it is more likely that visitors will discover your blog and not your web site through a search engine. The external blog will rank higher in search results and load without the wrapper of your Muse site.
    2) If you use the other option of Business Catalyst, you will need to pay for Business Catalyst hosting. That means a yearly cost between $384-$444! This makes little sense when someone can set up a free customized blog site at places like Wordpress.com or Blogger.com

  • Blog and Muse stickey footer

I have built a blog that seems to be working great with the exception of long pages (i.e.) when you get to Archive section. I am using a template built in Muse and it has a sticky footer. I am using this template for several other pages on the site and I know the stickiness works. What is the formula for getting it to work in the modules? Banging head again wall ...

    Hello
If the issue is with the page being too long, then probably disabling sticky footer for that page would do the trick. Did you try it already?
    Cheers

  • Integrate WP blog into Muse website

    Hi,
I am about to design my own page, but would like to integrate my existing Wordpress Blog into a Muse site. Since both designs are very different, I would like to design in Muse and include the WP blog with very simple design into a Muse site. In the beginnings of HTML, you were able to include other sites (remember those ugly scroll bars).
is there any smart way to include this blog into an existing Muse website - pretty much have a header/footer/nav bar surronding the blog.
Thanks for your help and also examples,
    Markus

I don't think this is going to be very helpful.
I have been researching this.  I like most Muse users am not a coder,
I love Muse in that it allows me to create what I am thinking about without mucking around in any code
But here is the problem....Muse creates an HTML site whereas Wordpress sites are PHP sites
I think the only way you could do it it properly is to either install wordpress onto a sub folder on your site named whatever you want your blog to be called and find a similar wordpress theme to your site then add a Photoshop button to link to that blog
or....and this is the one I am going to play with and if I can get it to work I will post my step by step instructions....because no one that I can find has tried to give a detailed how to on this process.
1.Create your site with Muse with a page for your blog in the site tree
    2.Export to HTML
    3. Open the Blog page with dreamweaver or another web coding program
    4. change it to a PHP
    5. add the code needed to make Wordpress work on this page
    6. publish your site
I will admit I am really fuzzy on 5 at this point but I am working on it.
You will still need to upload Wordpress to your site
Can anyone at least tell me if this will work.
    Kyle

  • Blogs in MUSE

I am unable to figure out the relationship between MUSE and Business Catalyst. I want to place a blog in my site, but it is not appearing anywhere. Please some smart person help me and make it very
simple. I am a graphinc designer and new to web site development although I understand some, especially SEO.
    Thanks, Carol

Business Catalyst is the web hosting for Muse.
Which means that you design your site and manage your content in Muse, then you publish to Business Catalyst the HTML content that Muse generates to make it available to visitors to your website.
Business Catalyst (the webBasics plan that comes with your Muse subscription or Creative Cloud membership) also includes analytics, user management and domain management to allow you to set up a custom domain and understand your site traffic patterns.
    Sincerely,
    Alexandru

  • Is it possible to import a wordpress blog into muse?

I don't have much else to add haha, just wondering if this is possible and if so, how?
    thank you!

Could you please direct me to info or a tutorial on how to do this (export blog from wordpress and import into muse)? After reading your comment I had hope but have found nothing that indicates that can be done. Please don't post a solution and then NOT tell us how to implement that solution ; )

  • Business Catalyst Blog in Muse

    Hi all,
Aplogies if I seem to be missing something but I'm trying to work out how to use the BC Blog Module with a Muse site and cannot find any instructions/tutorials on how to do set it up and then insert it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Many thanks,
    Tom

    Hi Tom!
BC Gurus has free tutorials about Secure Zone, below are the links.
But these tutorials don´t show how to integrate these features into Muse.
I am sure that Chris Kellett (MuseGrid) or Steve Harris (Muse Themes) know how to do that but I don´t know how much they are charging for instructions.
    Best Regards

  • How to create a Blog in Adobe Muse

Hi, who created a blog in Adobe Muse, help me please!

Unfortunately, you can't create a blog in Muse, not yet anyway. I've been researching this for a long time, and you just can't do it. If enough folks ask Adobe for it, then it will probably be added to a future update. For now, the only thing you can do is get the embedd code from an actual blog like Tumblr or Nabble, and then copy that bit of code using "insert HTML" on your Muse page. That will give you a generic looking little scrolling box with your latest blog entries, but it's probably not what you're looking for.
What I've decided to do is create a custom blog in Blogger, make it look as close to my Muse site as I can, and then just link it into my Muse site using a custom nav button. So I redirect my visitors to the Blogger site. If you customize the Blogger page enough with background images, colors, fonts, etc, your visitors may not even know they left your site unless the look in their browsers address bar.
I hope that's helpful. But if you're not familiar with Blogger, it's through Google, it's free, and it's a great blogging platform.

  • Best way to blog using Adobe Muse

    Hello Adobe Community!
I'm currently designing a site for a friend and she has requested that she would love to be able to use the site to blog about her job/life. I am an Adobe Muse user so I am wondering what is the best way to go about doing this? And also how easy it will be for her to add post's as she isn't....how can I put this....the most technically aligned person I've ever met.
    A thousand thanks in advance,
    Yours truly,
    Jake
