Krishna

Hi Krishnagopal & Divya,
The new process, since you both have over 100 points you should have received an invitation to create a profile. You can blog through the profile section on the wiki, by using the add news function. Read more <a href="https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/profile/Getting+Started">here</a>.
@Krishnagopal please open a question in one forum only.
@Divya I hope you give it a 2nd chance in this new system.
I hope we see you both blogging soon!

  • How to post blog

As an Independent SAP Consultant, how could one post blogs in SDN?
    nikhil

And after creating you blog profile you create your draft which goes to a queue for approval.  After you have become experienced and adept at writing entries and are approved by the SME repeatedly you may be "graduated" to full autonomy as an SCN blogger.

  • First Blog - Ready for Approval

I am not sure if this is the right forum for the below question.
Few days back I submitted my first blog on SDN for approval. Later I updated it few times and re-posted it with status "Ready for Approval". Does anyone know if I need to inform SDN that I revised my earlier post or will SDN automatically pick up the latest version of my blog?
    Thanks.

SDN will pick up the latest version of the "ready" blog, but depending on the blog and the area it can take several days.
You might also get it back in "feedback" mode.
After a while it should go faster, particularly if the blogs are reliably good.
    Cheers,
    Julius

  • Service Desk: Support team determination - Action Logs error

    Hello experts,
I have customized the service desk functionality in Solman 7.0 EHP1 according to SAP help and the various (very helpful blogs from sdn). When I create a message from satelite system the "Support Team" field is already filled with the correct  business partner, but when I look into the ACTIONS tab I see the following error message (red light) "Find support team responsible, when message is created". In the processing log I have the following entries:
    "Processing CRM_DNO_PARTNER_1 Is Started"
"Action could not be successfully executed".
Additional no Email is sent to the BP SUpport team even I have customized it accourding to the blog from Tammy Powlas "Service Desk Support Team E-mail Notification".
When I open the created message in change mode and save the message (without any changes), then the email is sent correctly.
Can anyone give me a hint, what I did wrong.
    Thanks in advance,
    Thomas

    Hi Thomas,
When the PDF is generated during the creation of the message, some information is not yet available to the smartform program, so most of the fields are not filled. In order to have the complete PDF, you have to send the e-mail after the document is completely created, which means using the processing time "Processing when saved" (and then you have to open the message and save), or via Job using the Processing time "Processing using selection report", and scheduling the job as mentioned by Cristiano. In this case no e-mail will be created immediately as you wish (I did not use "sent immediately" , but "created immediately", because it also depends on your SCOT job which will send the e-mail). In my case I did not need to send in the e-mail details such as System ID, SAP Component and System details to the Support team, only the message number, priority and description.
If you decide to schedule the job, create a variant as explained by Cristiano. Enter the Application CRMD_ORDER, Action profile, Action definition if you want to specify which action or actions you want to execute (if you only want to schedule the job for your email to support team action, put this action definition here), Promotion status "0", keep empty field Processing type (do not put INT for e-mail), and select Processing Time "Processing using selection report". Keep dates in blank. Set  "Processing without dialog" on. It's very important that you configure your action to be executed via report, as I said in the beginning, otherwise the job will not work and you will have the "0 actions have been selected" message. Also schedule your job periodically with a very short interval if you have many messages created each hour. It also depends on your SCOT configuration. The CRM action job will only send the e-mails to the queue.
The business partner assigned to the user that holds the position below the org unit should be entered in the message processor field, but this should not cause any error in the action that determines the Support Team business partner, as this field is correctly determined. Did you configure any other action or BADI to fulfill the message processor automatically? The standard SLFN0001_ADVANCED_FIND_PARTNER action as far as I know will not do it.  I have Solution Manager 7.0 with SP25 and I don't have any error message in the FIND_PARTNER action, it is all green.
If you did not create yet any action or BADI implementation for the message processor, and if you have only one business partner (person) assigned to your support team, as you described (one Org Unit, with one position and one member), you can do the following:
    - Go to the Access Sequences definition and copy access sequence 0009 (organizational data: employee for an org. unit). In the Individual Accesses change the Source from Department to Support Team.
    - Go to the partner determination procedure and for the SLFN0004 select the access sequence just created.
This access sequence uses Rule AC10000258 to determine the business partner Employee of an Org Unit.
Try to create a new message and check if it works. This rule does not work if you have many members below one support team.

The procedure is documented in help.sap.com and in blogs and SDN forum messages.

  • How to create IDOC from Function module or RFC

    Hi all,
I have tested one inbound IDOC for Time Upload to CAT2 using basic type "CATS_INSERT01"  in WE19 through function module BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1 .It works well.
Now i need to create this IDOC once the sale order gets created thru BAPI.
For creation of Sale order i wrote one RFC in which i will call the Standard Sale Order Bapi.My question is once the Sale order gets created in that RFC How do i trigger the IDOC for CATS upload.

  • URL View in VC7.1

    Hi all,
Apparently , from VC7.1 onwards, the URL View is no longer available.  I managed to mimic this behaviour by using hte "Hyperlink" action from a button , for example, however, this always opens a NEW windows, while we prefer to embed the target URL in a VIEW of the current windows (as a WDP-view in the canvas).
How is this functionality feasable in VC7.1 ?
    Thank you very much!
    David Pierre

    Hi ,
    Thanks for your reply!
In fact, in a VC7.1 composite model , I would like to navigate to a URL View with a given (dynamically concatenated) URL.  This view should then be 1 view in the complete screen page.
Goal is to have 1 iView that queries information about a customer in the backend SAP system , and then displays the Google map for this custome raddress in a second view.
This functionality is already discribed in different blogs on SDN, however, from VC7.1 onwards, since the URL View is no longer available ??? , I only manage to implement this using the "action" HYPERLINK , which per default opens in a NEW window, while I actually wnat the map to be embedded in the page.

    Hi Sridhar,
Could you please tell you are on which SP of Netweaver Mobile 7.10?
Have you already followed all the steps in the Installation Guide for SAP Netweaver Mobile 7.1 and applied the required kernel and support packages in your SAP system, as per the documentation in the link below:
    https://websmp109.sap-ag.de/installNWmobile71
I don't see any other reason why you are unable to see the SAP_DOE* roles in SU01 or PFCG transactions.
    Please verify.

Come on, make some effort. There are many documents and presentations and blogs on SDN that covers this, and many other documents on the web, e.g.
RIG BI Specialist Prakash Darji has many blog posts, e.g.

  • Need to declare GUID in Class to use in Workfloq

    Hi Guys!
I created a new class (via SE24) with two attributes as its key - but its lenght exceeded 32 charaters. I went thru the blogs posted by Jocelyn where she mentions to use GUID to declare the key. Can someone please explain how do the go about this - using a GUID as the key for the class? I am unable to understand how will I establish the link between the GUID and two attributes.
    Any guidance would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Anwar.

    hi saujanya!
thanks a lot for looking into this.
i have a few concerns here. first, let me paste the information that i read on one of the blogs on SDN on how to use GUID as Key field.
What happens if the class represents something that has a unique key longer than 32 characters? In this case you would use a Globally Unique Id (GUID) to represent your unique key, and then relate the GUID back to the real key. A GUID is unique throughout your system - for this reason a lot of the latest SAP solutions use GUIDs rather than meaningful ids as technical ids. To create the GUID, you simply call function module GUID_CREATE. To relate the GUID back to the real key, you could either cross-reference the GUID in a separate custom table, or use an append structure to extend an existing table to also hold a GUID reference
    Here are my questions:
    1. The field INSTID that contains the Key can only be of lenght 32 characters. So if I declare the key to be longer than 32 characters, SAP gives me a warning - but is that ok?
    2. from the workflow side, i have only two values with me - objtype and objvalue - this is what i want to pass to my class. But i cannot use objtype and objvalue as my key because they are longer than 32 characters. therefore i need to use a guid. i have maintained a table, where i can find the guid using the objtype and objvalue. but my concern is what should i pass from the workflow and how do i get that in the class? this is were I am really confused.
Appreciate your time for lookinginto this. any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    regards,
    anwar.
